Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

I might have to try a kneeling pose, too, Deb, as my arms aren't long enough to quickly grab the bands when the next set is ready to start, which means I have to hold onto them uncomfortably while waiting to start again. Did Legs again today, this time including the bonus content. My legs were...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

I'm officially now part of the "done every STS 2.0 workout" club - finished Triceps today. I think triceps are probably my least favorite body part to work... likely because they need the work! I appreciated all the variation in the workout, though, and that, aside from the warmup, there...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Congrats on getting through all the workouts! I know I was wondering what I'd do after I'm finished with the 12-week rotation and decided to do her XTrain/STS 2.0 rotation next. That's going to add in more cardio, for sure, and keep things interesting, I think. Actually, since I appreciate doing...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Did Biceps with Bonus today. I stayed somewhat conservative with my selections and glad I did! My biceps and forearms are feeling pretty worked right now. The drop sets in the bonus were once again brutal. Going to have to start off lighter next time around, 'cause I could barely squeak out four...

STS 2.0 User Guide Body Parts Biceps

The bonus section also calls out Barbell Curl Pause Reps, but they're nowhere to be found, unless I have to access them via chapters (I haven't tried looking there yet)

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Just finished Chest, and right now my chest feels like I'm walking around like a puffed-up body builder. :p This was definitely challenging with the right weights. I hit failure several times through. I was even yelling out final rep counts while trying to get through some of them...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Really enjoyed Back today. My back felt really full afterwards, and a good sore - not my usual "oh I hurt something" sore. I remember seeing all these body parts workouts and initially thinking 40-some minutes was an awful lot of time to focus on one body part, but I get it now. I really...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

I am two days after BP Legs and my legs are still sore. Again, not quite sure what the magic was with that workout in comparison to LB 1 and LB 2, but wow. I did Shoulders yesterday. I think I kind of cheated myself on that one because I was pretty conservative with most of my weight...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Did Legs today. Wow! I mean, LB #1 and LB #2 are challenging, too, but something about this one really hit my legs good. I'm still thinking I'm going to rotate between all three lower body workouts during the remainder of this 12-week rotation, but I know I'm going to be feeling today's workout...

    STS 2 Results

This morning I'm proud to report that during my yoga, I was able to get into crane pose several times and hold it for more than a split second! That pose recruits just about every muscle in the body... triceps, biceps, chest, shoulders, back, core, hip flexors and even glutes! Even good wrist...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

Thanks for the suggestions re: bicep issues. I'll give them a try. This set is really making me appreciate my Select-Tech weights. I have the set that goes from 5 to 52.5 so I'm all good with most of my weight choices. You should check Criagslist or Ebay to ever see if a set is for sale...

Reviews for Body Parts in STS2.0?

I went through and previewed all of the BP workouts this weekend to do some preliminary weight selections so I can really just jump in. I got kind of scared when I got to the biceps one. lol. I don't know why but my biceps tire out pretty quick. I've also been having some weird "catching" on...

    Who what wear!

I've seen a lot of Nike and Under Armour logos. I'm sure she's got quite a mix going on there. Am I the only one who thinks of 80's hair bands when I see Cathe's pants in Upper Body 1? They crack me up. They're fun, but I definitely get glam rock vibes from them.

    Newbie Ab Question and Thanks

Extra weight around the midsection seems par for the course as we age. Instead of doing core for the appearance, keep doing it for the other health benefits. A healthy, strong core just improves your lifestyle, period. Less back problems, and it supports you through all your other daily...

    STS 2.0 with lighter weights

You do what you feel is possible. That said, I echo what snowlover quoted from Cathe. "If it doesn't challenge you it won't change you". I think that's the primary purpose of this set is push to use heavier weights than what you typically stick with. That said, I'm sure following along with her...

? on Glute Bridges ... barbell v dumbell

That belt looks intriguing but all I can think is that the dumbbells would be swinging around and pushing into my outer hips in uncomfortable ways.

    Splitting workouts on a Rotation

I think it would be fine if you're splitting up a workout where perhaps you're doing one body part in the AM and another in the PM. I just don't know how much my muscles would like it if I did say half a bicep workout in the morning and came back and did more biceps in the evening.

    Newbie Ab Question and Thanks

Utilizing Cathe's 12-week rotation, I've been tagging the core days on my recovery workout days (so if there's a yoga or mobility or stretch or even foam roller-type workout slotted for the day, I add on one of her ab workouts.) The nice thing about her ab workouts in this series especially is...

Sumo squats in STS2.0 Super Sets

I keep thinking a sumo squat is slightly narrower than a pile with toes pointed more forward, although I don't think toes forward is necessarily an anatomically comfortable position for everyone. Those goblet squats at the beginning of LB#2 really confuse me... is it supposed to be a sumo squat...
