My Office is Obsessed--The Lemonade Diet

My take on fasts.... Your body removes its own toxins. That's what bacteria in your intestines is for. That's what your lymphatic system is for. That's why you have functioning kidneys and an integumentary system that forces you to sweat. You can also lose toxins breathing. Fasts do...

Jewelry party -- do I have to go?

I can't stand those parties! My neighbor is always having some event at her house; jewelry, baskets, candles, make up, you name it. I used to feel obligated to go, now I don't even bother to respond, although I still get invitations. I don't care if the liquor is free. I'm done!

Kick Max --First time you did it

Kick Max has been out 4 years! Time flies. I should revisit this workout as I rarely do it. I remember finding the first part rather easy and the second part (blasts) insane. I usually just did the leg conditioning drills because they were great for conditioning my legs for other kickboxing...

Lower body workouts = I'm tired all day!

Leg workouts suck! There, I said it. I don't mind DOMS in my upper body, but when it hits the legs it's so hard to get on with your activities of daily living, isn't it? Every step, every squat, every time you sit down you're reminded of what you did to get you in that awful condition in...

    Old age creeping up

I'm reminded of my "old age" every time Cathe mentions the Fonz during a Push/Pull back exercise. At least I'm the same age as Cathe, so we can grow old gracefully together!

    P90X Question

I just mentioned on another thread about how much I love the recovery drink. I bought mine locally because BB's is more expensive. You can get it at GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe. This drink has made all the difference in my workouts. I used to have a problem with fatigue and muscle stiffness...

What does your POST-workout meal consist of?

I usually had a handful of raw almonds and a glass of orange juice, or if I'm in the mood skim milk, but now that I'm doing 90X I've been drinking a recovery drink, not Beachbody's but something I bought at my local GNC. I love the taste of it and I find I have lots more energy after grueling...

    ROSIE ON THE VIEW

I'm not a fan either. I think she lets her emotions get in the way of logical thinking.

    Presale for New Projects?

You can't compare previous presales to this announcement. She's going to film the 4-day split in June, the 3-day split and boxing series later in the year. Unless I stand corrected this is how I read it.

    Presale for New Projects?

Considering the length of time it would probably take between projects, I'd prefer the presale to be on an individual basis.:)

    My resistence band broke!

I store my bands in a plastic bag with a little corn starch sprinkled in it. After my workout I place the bands in the bag and shake it so the bands are lightly coated with the corn starch. My bands are 3 years old and still going strong!

    who has stretch max?

It's nice she included this workout with her Hardcore series. My favorite is the band workout. However, I'm not sure I'd buy it separately. I use it once in a while, but for a good stretch I prefer yoga.

What are your workouts for today and this weekend?

I'm currently in the first week of a P90X Classic rotation. Today I should have done Legs and Back but I was in a cardio mood, so I did Kenpo. Tomorrow I'll finish the week with L&B and Sunday will be a much deserved rest day with the family. What's everyone else doing?

    P90X Opinions

I currently started an X rotation as of Monday. I've had the series for a couple of years but never did a rotation of the workouts. After watching the infomercial this weekend I got the bug. I plan on loosely following the meal plan, as I already cook healthy low-fat meals. Incidentally...

    Depression question

I go through bouts of depression and anxiety, but it's not severe enough to warrant a doctor visit because it doesn't last long, maybe a week or two at the most. Then it disappears for a few months. It's worse at night, esp. if I have problems sleeping. I think the insomnia and depression go...
