What workout shoes do you wear?

I've really been loving the Adidas Response. It's a running shoe but it seems to have a lot of cushioning and i love it for kickboxing and weights.

New floor, but step is slipping . . .

Maybe try the sticky padding that you can buy to line the bottom of kitchen drawers? It's also used under cutting boards to hold them in place. I used these under my step when i had puzzle mats and it worked pretty well. You can buy it in the kitchen dept of most stores. Shelby

    Who's doing a double today?

Sort of a double. Did weights this morning and I've got yoga scheduled for this afternoon. If i'm lucky I'll be able to talk a friend into a nice long walk too! If not, maybe I can wrangle the hubby into one. hehe Shelby

    "Don't lose too much weight"

Definitely something to brush off. My mother has been giving me that same comment. My mom is tiny and I've always taken after my father as far as size. You know, that lovely label of being 'bigger boned'....I hate that phrase. So now my mother likes to tell I don't need to lose any more weight...

New study: working out on empty stomach

I always work out on a partially empty to empty stomach. If I don't I usually end up feeling nauseated and get a side cramp, or get that great sloshing feeling. Shelby

Creating a rotation in the workout manager

*sigh* I feel silly. I figured it out. Found mention of the tutorials in another thread, which other than this link I had no idea where they were. It might be helpful though if the wizard mentioned that the items needed to be dragged and not clicked on. For a 'wizard' it's lacking in any...

    Athletic Step or Step Moves?

I would Step Moves because the complexity of getting the moves down pat gives it a better repeat factor until you can afford Athletic Step. Both are great though. Shelby

    Name Hang-ups

My sister's children call one set of grandparents grandma and grandpa and the other set are mom-mom and pop-pop. I think Bella is a beautiful name for a grandmother. maybe you could be grandma bella?

Creating a rotation in the workout manager

I'm trying to create a rotation using the workout manager wizard. I can see the list of DVD choices on the right but I cannot click on any of them. My mouse pointer changes into a different icon and it won't allow me to select anything. So I can get my dates selected correctly but then my only...

DVD rip/burn program - suggestions, please!

Yes, i use those two programs to rip dvd's onto my computer. you'll probably just need dvddecrypter. videora has multiple versions that can then convert it into other formats.

DVD rip/burn program - suggestions, please!

I use DVDDecrypter and Videora to rip and burn into itunes for my ipod. if you google both of these there are a lot of tutorials and such for this(more on the videora site i think). the dvddecrypter copies the file onto my computer and videora converts it to a format i can put in itunes.

    compliments

I completely agree! It's the complexity and intricate footwork that keeps me able to do all the power-ups and repeat the workout over and over. Rhythmic Step was my favorite for a long time, but now I have two new ones to join the mix!

    Chalean Extreme??? really???

Here it is. It's called the Lean for Life Phase Week 1: Burn Circuit 1, Rest day, Push Circuit 2, Burn Intervals & Extreme Abs, Lean Circuit 1, Burn It Off & Recharge, Rest day Week 2: Burn Circuit 2, Rest Day, Push 3, Burn Intervals & Abs, Lean 3, Burn it off & Recharge, Rest Week 3: Burn...

    Chalean Extreme??? really???

Yes, I went through the three month rotation. Actually I did Burn Circuit for about 4 months until I felt up to moving on. Push Circuit was the hardest for me and not because of the workout itself. I was always hungry! I certainly was not prepared for my metabolism to go into overdrive like it...

    Chalean Extreme??? really???

I love it, personally. I've lost 50 pounds since I started it (between June and November). I'm working my way up to STS. However the cardio routines that came with the deluxe package were horrid. I didn't mind Burn Intervals, but the others were repetitive and boring. I liked the weight dvd's...

    Cathe, have tendonitus in wrist...

Hi Kay, Not Cathe, but I do have chronic tendonitis in my wrist and forearm. Whatever you do, don't rush lifting heavy again. If pain persists when you restart lifting, I would suggest possibly buying a light brace to assist with holding onto the weights. For me it affects my grip and I have...

    Jon and Kate plus 8

Personally, I love the show. I realize it's a reality show so I know to take it with a whole truckload of salt. I've never really wanted to have kids, but somehow when I watch this show it makes me think "Hmmm, maybe I could have just one". I enjoy the show for what it is and find that while...

THE LENGTH OF CHALENE EXTREME WORKOUT

I just started these workouts, as I've done two, and i really like them. I go heavy as I safely can and boy i was just shaking all over when I finished! Any longer than 35 min would be too much
