Slide & Glide-Am I the only one who finds this almost impossible?

Thanks everybody. I'm just going to take the disks out of everything for now and come back to it in a few weeks to see if there is any difference. Lord knows I haven't lacked for hard, hard exercise without them. Hopefully in a few weeks time I'll have a pleasant surprise! Thanks, Steph

Slide & Glide-Am I the only one who finds this almost impossible?

Probably. I have to be very protective of my back because I am prone to muscle spasms that take me out for days. Strengthening my core is one of the main reasons I started working out last month. I'm just not comfortable with moving around on those things; my back feels very unstable. It was...

Slide & Glide-Am I the only one who finds this almost impossible?

I can do the static exercises with these, but I find the fast cardio movements nearly impossible. Tonight I got terrible cramps in my arches. I did most of the cardio approximating the disk moves with low impact floor moves. It was still a good short workout but I'd like to master this. Is...

    Rest between Metabolic Weight Training

This is so interesting. I've been wondering what the what a metabolic workout was, and as I've been previewing/ doing these workouts, I've caught myself thinking, "this is the firm without the leotards!!" Good to know I'm not crazy!

    4 weeks in, 7 #s down

Thanks, Renee! I discovered Cathe years ago, but never could stick with it. The low impact stuff is making a big difference, as I am bio mechanically unsuited to high impact (pigeon-toed on the left, which causes every joint in my left leg to hurt like crazy after just about a couple of days...

    4 weeks in, 7 #s down

Hey, y'all, I'm new here. I'm 47, and 4 weeks ago today, I started working out again. I started with a week of uphill walking on the treadmill, and I rediscovered the workout manager. That got me kind of fired up, so I started tracking my workouts and ordered XTrain and LIS. while I was...

    Xtrain/LIS rotation

Question? How long does the temporary water weight gain from starting to lift heavy typically last? What should I expect in this regard? Thanks!

    Xtrain/LIS rotation

Thanks. I've gotten good at modifying. I'm watching all of the workouts in advance so nothing comes as a surprise. I'm going to be careful while not being afraid to work hard. This morning, as part of a citizen's fire academy, I suited up in full bunker gear and went through a training smoke...

    Xtrain/LIS rotation

I am new here--47 years old, have been fairly sedentary for the last few years, and I've gained wait. I'm about to embark on this rotation for the first time after working out for the last two weeks. Any tips? I'm looking forward to it!
