Initial water weight gain with heavy lifting

Just figured out hoe to start a new thread...How long does the initial period of water weight gain with heavy weight training tend to last? Trying to figure out what to expect. Thanks!
 
About two to three days or until the DOMS soreness completely disappears. Drink extra water always to help flush the lactic acid and toxins out.
