    ::: CHEETAHS ::: thursday, june 28

    Mornin, cheetahs! :) It’s nice to be able to ramble on about training stuff here with folks who, as Gayle said, share the same passion! Wendy :: CTX is new to me – I’ve only done the KB and Leaner Legs workouts so far. I’m not a fan of step, but I do plan to give those a try at some...

    P90X Grads/Nancy ----> Thursday, 6.28

    Good morning, ladies— :) :) :) I’m struggling this morning to wake up out of the fog, so I’ll save ME for later – either after work, if I can squeeze it in, or after dinner. I am working all week, so at the moment, I’m not feelin’ the freedom thing. *lol* (The day goes by a helluva lot...

    ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wed., 6.27

    Morning, cheetahs!! :) Just finished CTX k’boxing…A short one but a goodie. Glad to have it out of the way. Tonight after work, I’m heading to a friend’s for a BBQ. Will have to keep the reins tight on the eating. And NO Corona Lights! May the force be with me. Jackie :: good job...

    More options for the uncoordinated among us!

    I'm with you on this, but I understand, too, that Cathe has many fans who love the complex choreography. I would like to see more non-step, simple, athletic-style workouts in general. The less equipment, the better! ~Cathy :)

    Victorias Secret Sports Bra

    I bought one awhile ago - the one with hook closure (it's not a pretty one). I liked it at first - it was good about controlling bounce, but after several washes, I just wasn't that crazy about it anymore. I think my Nike bras hold up better. JMO. I couldn't find a link to it on the site, but I...

    Here's one: when I'm out running and drivers don't stop for the pedestrian zone. ~Cathy :)

    X Grads & Nancy -- Tuesday, 6.26

    OK, L&G wound up a bit botched. My DVD player crapped out on me -- totally froze up in the middle of the Standing Legs premix. I almost went into panic mode there as I couldn't get any freakin' buttons to work...not even eject. By the time it finally spit out the DVD, I decided I'd done enough...

    ::: CHEETAHS ::: the heat is on! Tues., 6.26

    OK, L&G didn't quite happen as planned. I decided to do the standing premix (39 min.) but my DVD player froze at about the 25th minute. It is a relatively new machine but is apparently temperamental. None of the buttons on the remote or the actual player would respond - incl. the eject button...

    Laura :: *lol* yeah, I used "bff" on my vbf recently and I felt like one of the middle schoolers we teach! I didn't know how else to abbreviate it on a tm, though! Now I know! :) I have gained speed through interval training in the past - I agree it works - but I don't do much of it now...

    X Grads & Nancy -- Tuesday, 6.26

    Wendy :: enjoy today’s rest day. Angie :: yes, I have a HRM but don’t use it all the time. I was intrigued by a recent thread on the OD forum and thought I’d pursue the concept of slow running/HR training for fat loss. But it’s funny, I was thinking how when I first started running in ’95...

    ::: CHEETAHS ::: the heat is on! Tues., 6.26

    Hey cheetahs :) Wendy :: OK, I have to go back and read that thread as well as that particular chapter in Edwards’ book…I can’t see how walking more than running would be a better fatburner?? Even the slowest jog kept me just above the “temperate” zone…That bloomin’ onion is dangerous for...

    X Grads & Nancy -- Tuesday, 6.26

    Morning, ladies :) It's gonna be a wicked hot one here, so I've split up my workout. Did a slightly-less-than-three mile run and will hit L&G tonight after work. I tried to run at 60-70% of what I *think* my max HR is, but it was ridiculously slow. I couldn't stay in my zone unless I walked...

    ::: CHEETAHS ::: the heat is on! Tues., 6.26

    Morning, cheetahs :) The humidity is back in full force here, so I hit the streets early and banged out a just-under-three mile run. And an interesting one it was! I saw a dead rat and three (live) deer, right on a major road! Tried to follow the Maffetone HR approach but could not keep my...

    ::: CHEETAHS ::: back to the Mon. grind - 6/25

    Sunny :: WOO-HOO!! WTG!!! http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/69.gif Yes, I do love getting my w/out out of the way in the morning. Wish I could do that during the school year! ~Cathy :)

    Breaking up.........

    Heather, My sister said the same thing after her divorce. The issues that caused her to leave were the same as those which gave her doubts before they got hitched. She ignored that inner voice, and instead, expected/hoped that things would get better. They didn't. ~Cathy :)

    relationship/messy question

    Here is my Dr. Phil wisdom on the situation: whatever routines you establish in the beginning, make sure you can live with them b/c they will most likely stick. E.g. if you start off in a relationship doing all the cooking and cleaning, be prepared to be in that "role" forever. Good luck...

    Breaking up.........

    Gayle :: so sorry to hear you are at this crossroads...but like the others here, I give you a ton of credit for your strength and confidence in knowing what is right for you and your boys. You have already been through hell - you certainly should not be settling for anything less than the best...

    Barry's BootCamp - what's up with the photos?

    I think the series does have a bit of a Hollywood cheese element to it, but not enough to be seriously distracting, IMO. Good solid workouts! ~Cathy :)
