    Breast Cancer

Jengollf: sorry I don't have any useful information for you on this topic? It sounds like a very useful source for an article for Cathe's newsletter, frankly. I'm sure you'll have many sources of valuable info available to you through your doctor/surgeon/oncologist, and I might assume, given...

    Need next Rotation advice please

How about Cathe's recent Advanced level Fit Tower workouts? They are, compared to Cathe's other workouts, trending towards intermediate rather than super tough, very do-able workouts. You don't even have to have the tower to do them: a chair and a bench are good enough. Clare

    Please Rank These Programs

Stacy: you know, thinking about this, the perfect instructor for you is probably Kelly Coffey Meyer: she is pitched solidly at the intermediate level, with the possibility of going harder or easier. Her workouts are, for the most part, 30 mins long, though she has some releases where you can...

    Need next Rotation advice please

I actually think the 4DS upper body work is very intense. More so than the 4 cardio segments. This is heavy lifting and high work load. Of course I always do the upper body premix, so I don't know what the work load is like if you actually just do the 1 cardio segment and 1 lifting segment...

    Please Rank These Programs

Stacy: I don't know any of these workouts I am afraid, but why don't you check out jengolf's blog as she has many of these reviewed in a lot of detail and that will help you decide for yourself which might appeal and which not. https://2lazy4gym.com/ Clare

    Other workouts like X-Train

Weight lifting I have only really ever done with Cathe. I use Kelly Coffey Meyer too and she's good, but she doesn't break it down beyond either all upper body, all lower, total body weights or metabolic conditioning (weights and cardio mixed)...

    3 week yoga retreat

I know absolutely nothing at all, sorry. But, why not try it? What do you have to lose? I'm like you: I want so badly to be fulfilled by yoga, so what will it take?!? Give it a whirl and report back! Or, you just might like buti yoga ... https://butiyoga.com/ Clare

    Opinion on job interview

Going to an interview commits you to exactly nothing! You have nothing to lose. 2 things can happen as a result: 1) you discover that this job is not better than the one you already have, the perks are worse or the same, the grass is not greener and you end up feeling happy about your current...

    Other workouts like X-Train

Ivy: this is a very open question, could you narrow it down a little? I mean, Xtrain has a little of everything, so, which aspect are you looking to duplicate through other instructors? Clare

    Workout routine

If you are pushing gradually/continuously for progressive overload in weights, pushing for improved cardiovascular endurance, pushing for intensity in your workouts (where intensity can be provided by changes in weight loads, speed, number of reps, higher impact, increase in overall work volume...

    I rediscovered STS Plyo Legs!!!

Peg: if you have RWH LIHI Legs, RWH Lower Body Circuit and Xtrain Cardio Leg Blast, this is exactly the same. Same concept entirely, just some variation in individual exercises in plyo section. Clare

    Weight gain

How old are you? Once perimenopause hits, your body composition will start to change and 8 pounds can go on just like that. Clare

Fit Split vs 4 Day Split series

Look for the total body weights 90 min premix on 4DS Kickbox DVD. It is superb. Genius heavy lifting for upper body and a sold lower body workout that does not wipe the floor with you but trains you good. It is all I use this set for but worth it to me. Clare

Anyone ever break a foot or toes?

Well, yes, I too am in awe. Some incredibly strong and determined ladies on this forum. I am proud to know you all. Clare

    FitSplit review

Sorry, but there are no 'shoulds' in fitness, as in many aspects of life. There is only what works for the individual as far as time, energy, physiology, psychology and personal preference dictate. I never do weights before cardio. There is no way in hell I ever will. But cardio before...

Recommended Cathe Cardio after long hiatus

Hi Melanie: I usually choose Cardio & Weights from Intensity series for a start back step workout. How about Low Impact Circuit from the Sash series? And the low intensity step workout from 4DS, then there's Party Rocking Step 1 (which I actually have never done so don't know it personally)...

Thanks for the info Karen. I can see a need for both. Maybe they'll help me with my push ups too. I need to consolidate those. They are now in my amazon basket! Stay well and warm in January. Clare
