How would you start w/BodyMax 2?

O.K...I'll admit to the fact that I've had this DVD since it was first released and only used the double upper body premix on it :o shhhh, please don't tell ;-) Anyway, I stuck it in this a.m. thinking, "I am going to do the whole workout, in it's original form. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I...

    what is your favorite time?

You know, I used to say in the a.m. after a few cups of coffee and a boal of hot oatmeal. But lately I have been getting up really early (due to my workout space being taken over by contractors who are finishing our basement), not eating anything and able to push a bit harder during my cardio...

    Increase intensity=increase in weight?

Thanks everyone! I am in the last half of my cycle so thanks for posting that, it may be part of it. Honestly, I was really trying to not eat as "much" clean foods, as the scale kept creeping up, so I thought that I must not have an accurate grip on my portions. I was skipping snacks and just...

    Increase intensity=increase in weight?

Can this be the case? For the last 2 weeks or so I've increased my intensity working out. For example, instead of doing Low Max on 1 riser, I am doing it with 2. Instead of running for 20 minutes on the treadmill I am now doing 45 minutes to an itread workout. I am lifting more weight also...

    Working out with awake babies?

Ooooh, I remember those days :-) When mine were that young (now 7 and 4 yrs). I wasn't as "fit" when my first was that young, so I resorted to walking w/her in the stroller. When my second came along I ran on the treadmill while he took his morning nap. When I discovered Cathe I started...

    I-Pod ear piece????

What is Itread? And where can I find it? Don't mean to change the subject. But I've heard Itread referenced a few times. Is this a downloadable treadmill workout that you need an Ipod or MP3 player to use? Sorry, Becky

    Red Bull

Hey There! I just wanted to add my two cents here. It is however, my opinion and nothing else. I am a nurse and I can't tell you how many times we have had to re-hydrate someone who consumes these beverages. These same people also come in complaining of heart palpitations, and a general "too...

What do you all do after a day of not eating well?

I have been focusing on eating "clean", and have done very well for the last week and a half or so (maybe even 2 weeks). Today has been awful for me! I had a grilled cheese sand for lunch, a sub sandwich for dinner and a couple of malted milk balls. I guess this is considered a "binge" day...

    Torn ACL

I tore my ACL in 1990, while downhill skiing. When I tore it, it hurt like a well, you know :) Anyway, I had an Orthopedic Surgeon who specialized in Sports Medicine do my repair. It was very painful and my recovery was not easy. In fact, I grow scar tissue at an unbelievable rate, and I...

Please explain "Cross Training" to me....

RE: Please explain Thanks for the information....I have a friend who has mentioned a couple of times to me that I should find a different exercise to "add variety". I guess because I'm always talking about Cathe, and maybe not mentioning the yoga, or the occasional run. I have however...

Please explain "Cross Training" to me....

I absolutely LOVE step aerobics, and LOVE Cathe. I try to rotate through some of her DVD's that I own, so I'm not always doing cardio or always lifting. I do tend to do more cardio though. Since it's been snowing here where I live, I have gotten out to cross country ski, and I have dabbled...

    Sweets

For me the trick is to cut out all refined foods. I eat clean "as much as I can". I am however human too. BUT, when I've omitted all the junk out of my diet, I really don't crave sugary stuff. And if I am, I always grab a piece of fruit or make a fruit salad w/SF FF Van Pudding...YUM...

Are all of us who are dedicated to fitness OCD?

I'm asking this because for the past 3.5yrs I have been very dedicated to eating well and working out. I work out 5-6 times a week, sometimes a bit less for approx 1hour per day. I have lost approx 35# (I am 5'1"). I had a co-worker come up and say to me, "Look at your legs, one of your...
