Daily Check-in, Thursday, March 6, 2025

Good Thursday Morning Everyone,

Today I did a mix of Perfect30 Lower body (31 minutes) and 2023 Jump rope bonus (10 minutes - thanks for the reminder, Linda). I will do my own stretch now.

Linda - I like your idea of set days for shorter workouts. It might give me a greater sense of freedom if I tried that.
Deanna - I checked out MMA Fusion. I remember that one but not sure I liked it. You said it's tough so I should try it out again. Thx for the rec.
Nicki - I'm sorry to read your leg is bothering you again :(
Annette - Wow you are dedicated. I could not work out to a crap video quality. Thanks for the tip about mascara remover. I just wash my face at night with water and remove make-up with coconut or almond oil which would not be good for a carpet or shirt!
Nora - I hope you got in that amazing workout or, at least part of it :)

Today's workouts:

Blender- " 20 min. Med Ball Abs/Core"
YT-Redwoods- Cardio Drumming with Lindsay- 19 min.
Hydrow Circuit Training- 10 min. Rowing & Upper Body Weights Circuit

Hardcore - Gym Style Chest & Triceps today. Again, another first time for me with this workout. I was literally shaking & quaking by the end. These Hardcore workouts seem to have an endurance focus! Staying in the Hardcore spirit, I added on Core Max #3 with the medicine ball & stability ball. My medicine ball is 4 pounds which was enough for me. I notice the music is nice in this series!

Hi ladies,

You ready to hear my at home workout for today......I hope so. I just didn't feel the gym today plus it is windy and cold outside so......here's what I did:

Started with a brief warmup
Then did chest press and flyes with 15, 20 and 25 pound dumbbells (yes I drug out my bench).

Then did back rows with 8 and 10 I think, also lying overhead with a 15 pound dumbbell.

Then a Taebo Express Combos for some cardio (11 minutes)

Then onto Biceps and triceps doing, hammer curls with 15 and 20's, concentration curls with 12's, wrist curls with 10's (some of my numbers for the weights might be off ), curl up reverse down with 10's, hammer with a twist with 15's.

Then triceps kickbacks with 8's, overhead with 1 dumbbell 15 I think shoot can't remember what else.

Anyway, then another Taebo Exress this time Kicks again 11 minutes.

Then onto shoulders and floorwork.

Shoulders was dumbbell shoulder press with 10's, seated clean and press with 10's, side laterals with 8's, and front raise with 8's .

Then using the bench for 1 ab exercise and then the floor for abs, legs and glutes then a stretch.

All in all an 80 minutes home circuit workout, whatcha think, not bad for having not worked out at home for weights in a very long time.

Oh and as I was replacing the dumbbells on the rack I did shoulder shrugs while walking to the rack how's that for maximizing the time.

Now I just need to get the bench put away and weigh 1 of the 25's because it felt heavier than the 25's at the gym.

Deanna, Gym Style Chest & Triceps - those are tough. I like the entire Hardcore Series and I have noticed how ripped Cathe and Team are in those videos. Their abs, arms, legs! Have you tried any of the Stretch Max workouts? They are all good provide great stretches for the entire body. I also enjoy the music in that series.

Annette, I'm tired just reading your workout! 80 minutes home circuit workout! And, you use every second doing shoulder shrugs while putting up your weights. I'll have to remember that one.

Hi Nicki! I haven't tried Stretch Max yet. I bought the entire Hardcore series in the Columbus Day sale & am just now exploring them since they are in this month's rotation. Stretch Max isn't in the rotation, but I'll try it today or tomorrow. I'm sore from yesterday so today might be a good day to get some extra stretching in.
