COMMIT TO GET FIT AND LEAN FOR JUNE 14, 2010

bayerngirl

Cathlete
Good morning,

Today I will start STS again. I will do M1 D1 after my coffee:) Loved the results I got from it!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Hi girls,

I am done with M1 D1:D I will post my wo later, running out of time! I also did the extended stretch from STS!

I will be back. Have a great Monday!

Good Morning!:)

I thought I was going to have to go to work in the wee hours of the morning but thankfully I didn't!:D I didn't get as much studying yesterday as I had hoped. I just wasn't in to it! Ugh! I want to do my exam this week sometime, like Sat.

Today's workout is gonna be a run outside and probably some weight. I may do some LB and def some abs!

Belinda** Good job with your workout this a.m! Maybe I will do a STS workout....now there's an idea!

I am going to see what I missed yesterday and then I will return! Its only 8 a.m and DS is already asking to go outside!

Lori:)

So yesterdays workout was 4DS shoul, bics and tris and a 9k run with the dog. He won't be going with me today. I can't take DS and him!

Belinda** I am taking an online personal trainers course. Its a bit more complicated then I thought. I knew there was certain things I would have to know but this course goes into great detail of the human body and of course, its things I think I don't need to know;) Just like highschool! LOL

Ameila** I have had lots of nights where there have been people all over the place. It hasn't been so bad since the new house but when we lived in a smaller one there wasn't enough rooms. DS is pretty good to sleep with. DD was all over the place!

Iris** You will probably get pretty tired of your job and all the people involved in the next couple of weeks. When you are ready to move on, everything seems worse! What did you fit into your schedule yesterday?

Helene** Sounds like you had a great day with the kiddie! We have a new out door water park but it is very small and it probably won't be big enough to accomadate our population.

Cookie** My SIL keeps talking about ME teaching a BC class! I am not one to speak to the general public so ME teaching a class is waaaay out there. Unless I have my own little gym and the class is very small and very private. I guess its only a matter of getting use to do something.

I will bbl! Hope I didn't miss anyone!

Lori:)

Good Morning Ladies.

Well I woke up to DC canceling on me. He text me at midnight last night to say he still had 4 hours of driving left. (He went out of town with his son). Grrrrr.... I purposely texted him back at quarter after 6! lol I ended up canceling rehearsal last night (I guess I'm no better!....thats Karma) but I did go to the family party. That was more important to me. I was so prepared to throw a curve ball at DC's session today, too.....damnit .lol

Well now I guess I don't have to wait to workout! I think I will do HIIT 30/30, possibly a short run, and Abs/Stretch.

Last night I tried a Rodney Yee routine, the Flexibility. I loved it!!!

Belinda- I will post the recipe for the tuna spread, cuz I was gonna ask Cookie if she still needed it, anyways. I loved the 6 month! I'm like you, I've leaned out more with Meso 3 than any other Meso. I think that along with somewhat following BFFM has helped a lot! Next time I will probably do the 3 month. I kind of miss other workouts!

Lori- So I was browsing through the 4th edition ACE manual (it came out RIGHT after my exam , so I got it) and I noticed it really goes into more of the medical terminology than the 3rd . edition did. I will read it, definitely, but am kinda glad I won't be tested on it!

Amelia- Hope you enjoyed your rest day! I'm thinking of an FF rotation in a couple of weeks myself. :) Which one are you doing? the GRFS 2010? or the Leg Blast?

Cookie- And you didn't stop in to OTB?? ( I dont' blame you, though!) Well I'm glad some of the stress is off with these reports!! Watch, you'll break your getting them all done, and then they'll move the date.

Helene- Great workouts!!!! Omg you rock! Keep it up! I am so in your corner. :D I also would like to see you win the whole dang thing and go to Maui! Yeah, no more BFFM for me. I will still follow the eating plan/etc., but checking in and counting every calorie/macro is hard for me at the moment.

Ok I'm off to sign up for netflix, and workout! BBL

Oops...almost forgot about the Tuna Spread

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp/15mL of extra virgin olive oil
1 Cup/240mL chopped Vidilia onion
3 cloves garlic passed through a garlic press
1 can white beans of your choice- white kidney beans, pinto, navy, or other (I ended up using chick peas!)
2 Tbsp/30 mL lemon or lime juice
2 Tbsp/30 mL chopped fresh parsley or cilantro, trimmed
1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
8oz albacore tuna, water packed ( I used the Bumblebee Low Sodium)
Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Preparation:
1. Heat olive oil in small frying pan and saute onions until just translucent. Do not over-brown. Transfer pan contents to food processor. Add remaning ingredients. Pulse until just blended for a chunky version or longer for a smooth version.

2. Serve as shown, or on flat bread, in pita bread or wraps, or be creative!

(We had carrots and endives with ours at Helene's! The first time I made it, I bought a head of lettuce and made lettuce wraps!)

Nutritional Value:

Makes 8 servings

Calories : 120
Fat: 2 g
Protein: 10 g
Carbs: 10 g
Fiber: 2 g
Sugar: 1 g
Sodium: 254 mg (probably a lot less if you use the low sodium tuna)

Enjoy!! I love it!

Awww...you are a sweety, Iris:) Thanks for posting the recipe!

'Morning!
Belinda, starting it again - thread and sts. Does that mean you're feeling ok?
Lori, you could easily do a bc class. What an inspiration you would be to the attendees. Teaching is like acting to me - when I'm nervous I just act, and then I relax into and it becomes natural.
Amelia, what are you up to today? Did you get a nap in yesterday?
Iris, what is it with the guys? How can he underestimate the time so much? At least he let you know - at midnight. I'm wondering if he really has made a commitment to getting fit - he has more excuses than me. Just made up the tuna spread for my lunches!
Helene, the kiddies must have loved the water park. I was outside for a bit last evening and the hay/grass was so slippery. Like a water slide almost.
Deb, how's the hip? How did it get injured? Is your younger son a senior and graduating? Can't believe my youngest just became a junior...
Trish, hope you're doing great and all is well.
Did sc circuit blast - love it, love it, love it.
BTW, one report has already been sent back for revisions! Fun, fun, fun.

Cookie - I still have a sinus infection, that still doesn't stop me from working out, lol:p I did Circuit Blast last week for the first time, loved it too! Very fun workout! WTG! Sorry about the report!

Lori - do you study every day? Good luck this week wth your exam! I'll bet an online personal trainers course is much harder than going to an actual class! Good for you, girl!

Iris - how is your studing going? Are you almost done? Thanks again for the recipe! I really wanted to do the 6 month rotation, but 6 month is a long time. What are you doing next?

Have a great Monday, everyone! BBL

Morning

I've almost decided on doing a full body today(go ahead and get it over with for the week) May do MIS again...it pretty much kicked my butt last week.

Iris-I need to get me a food processor..yours is the third recipe in the past few days that i wanted to try but couldn't. I tried to make Cauliflower mashed potatoes last week and they didn't turn out too hot...Im sure they would of been great if i'd had that gadget. I also want to experiment with Hummus. Im in the third week of the GRFS 10' rotation, im doing the generic version of it. Its been going good. Yay on the Rodney Yee routine...i just love him.. He's a flexible little dude isn't he?:p And strong too...

Belinda-Have fun on your rotation...congrats on the weight increases, thats fabulous!

Debbie-I hope your feeling better today!

Cookie-Nice job on your workout, How is SC Circuit Blast? I thought abut downloading one of cathe's newer workouts. What does it compare too? Nothing going on here today...may lay in the sun later

Lori-Nice workout planned for today. Sounds like your moving right along with your studying...WTG!

Hello to everyone i missed. I will bbl to report my workout.

BTW-I started another ticker today, i reached my goal on the last ticker(to get rid of water weight):D I'm going to try and lose 4lbs before the end of the month...it may be pushing it but I'm determined!!

Hi girls,

I took a rest day yesterday and my hip feels better today. I'm going to try and do the ellipitical today at the gym and after work either stretch or do a yoga tape. I went looking through my collection and realized I only have 1 or 2 yoga tapes:confused: . . . thought I had more.

This weekend I started reading "Losing It" by Valerie Bertinelli. It's a really good book didn't realize she had so many issues with weight. Saturday we went out to eat and they asked us if we wanted to eat outside. DH prefers to eat in the air conditioner but I love to eat outside. Big mistake woke up today with tons of mosquito bites:( and I can't stop scratching:eek:

Belinda - Are you doing the 3 or 6mo rotation? Is this your 3rd time?

Lori - Some of the PT's at our gym will get 3 - 4 people and do a BC style workout. The woman love it because it's a group rate and they like to train with friends or just not alone.

Iris - That dip sounds awesome:) At least your able to get your workout in today. Are you going to start working out at they gym now?

Cookie - I know Father's Day is the day before and I'm sure I'll be BBQing but I don't have to travel as far as you guys. DS is at community college he graduated last June. The time will go by quickly but such a busy time.

Helene - Nice compliments Cookie gave you:) I wish all of us could meet someday. How was the water park? I forget the times when the little ones keep you so busy now it just worrying all the time:)

Amelia - So I hope you don't have any black & blues . . . I think I would have gone to the floor but I could sleep anywhere:) How are you liking the FF rotation?

Trish - Well at least 1/2 the weekend was nice. Are the girls still taking dance classes? I know a few recitals were going on this weekend around here.

Have a great day:)

Debbie, I am doing my second round of STS! Have fun with your ellipitical wo tonight. Glad your hip is feeling better. I am doing the 3 month rotation!

Amelia, have fun with MIC!

Cookie, I still have a sinus infection:confused: My ears feel fine for once:rolleyes:

I will be back in the morning!

Hey Girls!

Checking in just before supper! We had a busy day but DS keeps it that way:confused:We went for a run and it was just as tough as the time before. I think I am done pushing him in a stroller! My friend took over but it was wiping her out to! LOL When I got home my new dvds were here:D I may get to do one tomorrow! This afternoon we went to the play ground for an hour. I think I will take him swimming tomorrow afternoon.

I met a girl at the play ground, pretty sure she was a single mom living with her parents. She spoke about how she couldn't get the baby weight off and how she admires these women pushing strollers and Im thinking "dont admire them...their crazy!":D;) I felt bad for cause she seemed friendly but didn't grow up here....she probably doesn't have many girlfriends.

Belinda** Good Job with your workout!!!

Ameila** Nothing wrong with setting little goals for yourself. I bet it helps keep you motivated!

Iris** Remind me never to cross you!:D You can get dirty! I would have probably done the same. What goes around comes around, I like to say!

Cookie** I could probably manage a small class without getting nervous. I guess its only a matter of getting use to it.

Deb** Glad to hear your hip is feeling better. Probably just needed a good rest!

Sorry personals are so short. There is something wrong with the space bar and its taking forever to type this!!

Lori:)

Quick post....I gotta get ready for work!!

So I did DWP and an abs workout from Exercise TV. Man, I need to start doing the HIIT's again! So I"m going to try every monday to do that. What's hard is, DC would like me to start working out at the gym, and I feel reallllyyy weird about that!! I treasure my home workouts. :( I told him on my running days I definitely would! didnt' commit to anything else....lol

Speaking of DC, he text me at 8:30 saying "are you free later?". He only got 3 hours of sleep, I met him at 11, and today was our first circuit workout, and I pushed him today..............*evil laugh*. He didnt' mention his phone, he didn't talk to anyone, nothing! For an hour he was forced to give his undivided............. And of course I ended up staying for a couple of hours ironing out some more details, we made some phone calls to corporate, etc etc. and to top it all of, I'm going to Minnesota for a corporate conference in September! Craziness!

Ok I will be back for personals in the morning!!!! I'm forced out the door, here..........wonder if it'll be a DG night. It's bound to happen at some point!

Good evening,

Well I am still in my meeting. 2 hours going now.

In the meantime, I have been taking care of some BFFM postings. It's turning into my version of Amelia's farmville. LOL

Can't post too long. I'm hoping this meeting finishes and I can go to bed!

Belinda: Nice workout and weights. Did you have a HRM on for it? I am wondering if the calorie burn is going up for arm workouts now that you are using heavy weights.

Iris: Thanks for the recipe. And :eek::eek: on working DC hard. So now you know what you need to do to have his focus. Push him hard. I m wondering if you are having a DG night. Thanks for helping me with this challenge. I am still going strong. It's nice to have support.

Amelia: LOL at the way Lori asked if you had the baby last night. It could read another way. Funny that you played musical chairs or beds in this case.

Cookie: Now, I don't want to point it out. But these are probably not your last reports right? There's always a new one just around the corner in my opinion.

Lori: How much does DS weigh now? Is it one of those good running strollers that you have? Hope you can fix your space bar. I had a friend tell me she decided she was going to train and try a marathon in October. She just started training for it. She has run a half before and runs quite a bit. It made me think of you :) Anyways, I am excited for her, because she has had a rough year and she is such a go getter.

Deb: Glad the hip is on the mend. I know, I can't believe Cookie was so nice. Still  but I think it was a good time. I hope I get to meet you too some time. Maybe an RT next year somehow. I hope Cathe enjoys meeting all these followers and will keep doing it.

Trish: Howdy :)

OK, I did the chest segment only form disc ... 21 I think. The one with the double wave load. That was hard this morning. Tonight, I pulled out an old Taboe advanced tape. I had this memory that they were really hard. My HR barely shot up compared to the Cathe workouts  I am in much better shape now than 10 years ago. Especially with the Hiit type workouts. Now how cool is that :D ? It's still an easier workout on the Achilles though so that's good. It's better and I want to keep it that way.

OK, I hope this meeting finishes soon. See you all in the morning.
