Is it too late to the Travel Fit/MMA party?

I got Travel Fit, MMA Boxing and MMA Fusion last week. I am on a Kelly Coffey Meyer rotation, and had originally planned to wait until I was done to try these out....yeah right! I broke down and did Travel Fit today.

Music is a BIG factor in a workout for me, and the first thing I noticed was that this one seemed ho-hum. But I liked the workout. Just the thing when I dont feel like a very intense strength workout which seems to happen quite often lately! I wish there had been a bit more leg work. Cathe is the queen of legs. Yet, this is something I see myself using quite often. I like that it seems to be constantly changing on the exercises. That makes it move fast.

Next, I popped in MMA Boxing, intending just to preview. The music on the warm up was hi-energy. The moves looked fun. I recognized the move-in-a-box-move from Cardio Kicks. I couldnt help myself. I had to rewind and do the workout! I liked it very, very much! People had complained about the music. I liked it. Some had wanted more intensity. I loved the opportunity to try to get in every rep in good form. (When a workout is too fast or very intense, my form gets sloppy towards the end.) Some complained about the guys. I found them endearing and they made me smile. The facial expression on the guy at the back alternated between smiling and enjoying himself, to intently looking at Cathe - wishing he wouldnt make a mistake. I think the boys gave it their best shot. With some practise, I bet they could get more slick. I enjoyed the format of agility drills between the boxing moves. I loved Cathe for not wiping me out in this workout for a change.

I havent yet done the ab/back work on MMA boxing and MMA fusion, but I did preview a bit of MMA Fusion and decided tomorrow is going to be another Cathe day in my Kelly rotation. MMA Fusion seems even better than MMA Boxing!

After my Kelly rotation, I plan to do a rotation with just kick box and yoga for a bit so I get to do MMA, Tracey's CKBC and some of my older kick box favorites.

Vee, have you tried the Heavy Bag Bonus on the MMA boxing DVD? I love it! I also love MMA Fusion. It's a lot of fun. The ab work in the MMA series is just outstanding, IMO.

Travel Fit is not intense but it definitely would be a good travel workout or for light days.

I just did MMA Fusion for the first time yesterday and I love it! My whole core is sore today from it. It works the core throughout. I don't having the boxing, but I have MMA Kickbox and love that too for days when I am short on time. Still have not tried Travel Fit. What I like most about the kickbox and fusion is that the intensity is lower, with some bursts of higher intensity, but my knees are not killing me at the end.

Whew! I just did MMA fusion. LOVED it.

I couldnt manage the mountain climber to a kick move at the speed as Cathe and crew. The roll back to an almost-plough and then roll forward into a pushup is like power yoga on speed! I managed it with utter lack of grace and lagged on speed. Something to work up to!

I am glad Cathe interspersed these with easier intensity. If the whole thing was like the tough moves it would have gone straight into the "dread putting it back in the player" pile. This had enough challenge plus easing back to make it fun.

I enjoyed the core work at the end too.

I agree that if the whole workout was full of mountain climbers it would go into my "dread" pile. As it is, I am really enjoying doing the STS Strength and Cardio rotation since none of the cardio workouts is more than 52 minutes, and the HiiT ones are less than 30 minutes total.
