Jasmin update #2

Jasmin416

Cathlete
Ok so I posted flyers around another neighborhood and got a call about another jasmin siting. I tried to call for her with no avail. Then some residents of mine thought they saw her in a field under a brush. I ran over and finally saw a kitten scurry between the brush and I "think" it was actually her. I called and called for her to come out but nothing. There were 2 other strays in that area as well and I know she is probably in heat.

I set up a trap last night with tuna and cat food in it (near that area) but it was raining all night and no animals went in there. Now I may either catch her or one of the other strays in time. However, I am upset that it seems that even when called she does not want to come...even after 10 days. It seems my precious Jasmin just does not want to come home and wants to continue being a stray. I am very sad over this even though she is just acting by her instincts I guess.

Don't believe that because she didn't come she doesn't want to come. When cat are in that kind of situation, they are easily freaked out and get spooked even by things they should be familiar with. Just keep doing what you're doing and don't give up hope.

Well I am glad you had a sighting of the elusive Jasmin. Don't think she doesn't want to come home. She is confused and I bet frightened. If she is in heat that is another problem and you will have kittens in your life. Just keep us with the flyers and the trap. Sounds like you will be successful eventually. Sending you all the best to get Jasmin back.

So happy to hear you may have spotted her! Hang in there! She will come to you!
No Bosco yet. I did get 2 calls Sunday and was so devastated when they weren't him:(, but ~ my glass half full DH pointed out that people calling shows my signs are being seen and people are looking!:)
I also ran to the grocery for a few things and Food Lion had removed my sign so I promptly put up a new one. A woman walking in said, *oh is that the same cat missing with the sign at the PIG?*
(new to the South, took me forever to figure out what the heck THE PIG is, must be the Piggly Wiggly! lol!)
She said her little girls are looking all over.
So, even if my beloved boy doesn't find his way home, I have had my faith restored in the goodness of mankind by the number of people who care about me and my darling Bosco.
Now, I just wish I could convince my heart that it isn't broken

keep us posted!

Becky

Please continue to update us on her situation. I would like to follow it through until she comes home to you.

Good Luck and (((((hugs)))))

It must be the season of the missing cat. Lord. What is going on?

I'm praying hard for Jasmin and all the other missing kitties. It's the worst feeling.

I think it is hopeful that you have seen her - even if she is being elusive right now. I continue to keep Jasmine in my prayers.

Don't give up. Keep looking for her and keep going back to get her. As the other poster said do NOT assume she doesn't want to come home. Animals that are lost do not always act the same as you know them to under these very strange, scary and stressful situation. They are under alot of stress and it my change drastically the way they respond. She is very scared and confused and this is a very big and scary world to her. Just be patient, persistent and keep on trying until you get her. Try to bring a carrying case with you for when you do catch her to be able to put her in it. If in the meantime you are able to save another stray and bring it to a shelter do so because every stray is a lost or abandoned animal desparately needing to be rescued. Please don't give up because I'm praying for you and Jasmin to be rescued. Please keep us updated. God Bless!!
