Fitnessfreak's December Rotation for 12/16

debbie, another lurker but follower!
i had my 3rd baby 2 months ago. i'm just about at my pre-preg weight and the scale is STUCK but my body is changing in good ways. i havent weighed myself in over a week - dont want to get discouraged by a number.
this rotation is tons of fun - i'm really enjoying it and pushing myself harder each workout. i upped my weights for 1-arm rows by 10# and dead rows by 20#.
for squats i'm maxed out at what i can hoist over my head. we have a smith machine w/ a squat thing i keep meaning to use. also, dh wants to buy a leg press machine - he hates standing for squats. what do you think about this?
also in our fitness splurge next month we're going to buy a versaclimber - i hope!!!! have you ever used one? it is a fantastic piece of equipment!

I have a leg press station and love it. But it's a lot different then doing a squat. I believe squats are a must-do staple exercise to any program. So just do them both.

I use to have a Versaclimber. I liked it ok, but hated how loud it was. Hopefully you can find a quiet one.

I missed yesterdays workout due to the fact that I got up extremely late.I even took my son to school an hour late. What do you say about that. Then the whole day was off and we had two birthday parties to attend.It was crazy. Today I am doing yesterdays workout and will try to keep up with everyone. Count me in everyone . I am finishing this rotation strong and will see you to the end.

I hve a question Debbie, Would it hurt to do weights and the cardio today to stay on the same schedule with most everyone or should I just stay a day behind and act like yesterday was my day off for the week?

Veronika, you can do cardio and weights today. If you happen to do them at the same time and have to cut something due to energy, cut your cardio down to a half hour.

Hi Everyone! I'm checking in with completing iTread 25 - 3.75 miles in 37:30. I don't have Cardio Kicks and I just had an itch to run today although I still had to mentally push myself to get started!
 
Hey Gals!

I don't think I checked in yet today. The thread wasn't started when I was in earlier and Im just getting time to sit down at work:( I have been reminded the last 2 days why I always lose atleast 5 lbs during Christmas time. I am constintly rushing around!

I was tired when the alarm went off but I got up anyway. I am going to wrap some gifts tonight while watching the biggest loser so I knew I wouldn't get a workout in. I did 20 mins on the TM and 4 cardio seg of DM...also did the ab work today.

This rotation has been soo much fun to follow. Debbie, I have to agree with the others about the pre-mixes. Also, I learned something very valuable from following this rotation. I have many workouts I avoid, because I've never checked out the pre-mixes. Step workouts are my least favorite, but now I know I can actually pick a premix to shorten the workout, and make them more doable for me. I know the premixes have always been there, I just never took the time to check them out, lol.

I forgot about Cardio Kick and ended up doing Powerstrike 3. I also did a 10 minute butt workout and Abs.

Debbie -w hat do you do with the magnets? Are they to add to the dumbbells?

Hi Ally! I use the magnets to up my dumbbells by 1 or 2# when needed. Especially for shoulder work, I don't like going up in 5# increments for shoulder work because I feel its dangerous. So I use my magnets to take my 15's to 17's and 20's to 22's, etc.
 
Hi Everyone!

I did my workout later today because I wanted to get some Christmas shopping for DH done earlier in the AM to try to avoid the Mall crowds (which I did!). I finished for him , just some stocking stuffers left! YAY!

So on my way home the radio would NOT shut up about a big ice/snow storm coming tonight and suddenly I got the running bug! I haven't been able to run for MONTHS due to a toe fracture and then an achilles injury. Suddenly the thought of snow covering up the ground made me want to get out there. So I threw on my running clothes and headed to the park, and RAN for 35 minutes! And then I came home and did C&W Abs. That is a challenging workout! Good choice, Debbie!

Oh and Debbie... Love your new picture! It's nice to see your face!

Lily... I love Cheeze Its too... the White Cheddar ones are my favorite. I have to be careful when they're in the house...
 
Hi there! Debbie, I love that we can see your face now! You're so pretty. :)

Did Cardio Kicks this morning, wore 1# weights for most of it. I love the punching drills at the end. Plus, C&W is my favorite abs workout so I had fun with that (and uh, I hate working abs usually).

I am also loving this rotation- it is really showing me how I can change things up by using the premixes. It's wonderful! Debbie, thanks again and um, wanna do next month?? :)

Hope everyone had a great day and awesome workouts. I decided to do the LIS step and Amy Bento In the Ring. I was torn between the two. The LIS has a song in it I just love. I think it is called I Need You Tonight. I like the little move Cathe calls Madonna. I also like the In the Ring music. I work harder on this one. Overall it was a fun workout.

Just finished my workouts did 4ds LIS cardio only and 4ds back and biceps and C&W abs. All caught up except have to add another day of cardio.
 
'Evening! Sorry to be MIA, but just got power back about 20 minutes ago! Thank God! It's been out since Thursday....
Anyway, I managed to keep up with the rotation. Friday did my own cardio mix, using parts of different workouts that I could remember, plyos and Bosu. Then I remembered I could use my laptop to follow the dvds! That only took a few days for the thought to kick in, sorry to admit. Took the laptop with me around to meetings to keep it charged for my workouts at home, but hey kept up.
Debbie, sorry to confess that I didn't even know B&B was a premix on LIS/HIS! Thanks so much for introducing me to them and for setting up this rotation. I never would have challenged myself to do this if not for you.
Iris, what do you think of PowerStrike? How does it compare to KPC? I'm always on the lookout for a good kickbox workout.
Missed you ladies, and am glad to hear how everyone is doing.

10 minute sprint interval
12 minutes jumping rope
7 minute steady run
3 minute hill intervals
3 minute cool down

Will do abs tomorrow.
