110!!!!!!!!!

I thought it'd be a good idea to get a list of all my workout videos--so I could put them in categories. What happened? I got nauseated!!! I cannot believe it, I have 110 workout videos!!!!!! Can you believe it? That doesn't even include the ones I borrowed out.

Do you think I need some professional help? ;)

110? Try way over 200! Yep. My workouts are never boring.

OMG!!!

You could start a fitness rental store all on your own! LOL! How long did it take you to accumulate that many? I'm very jealous! Apparently you are easily board with the same-o same-o (as am I) :) How did you get all these past DH??? mine always teases me that I have a lot of shoes, but 110??? you take the cake girl! :) Yours is definately a more healthy and useful habit however, but you can't argue with a practical pair of pumps in every color right?!!

OK, Janie.. .you can top that??? sheesh... I need to seriously work on my library!

I stopped counting after the Firms-preGT/Anna and the pinkies. I haven't even counted the Cathe's and others that I have. Mine are sorted by instructor. But I have a list on Firm yayas, I can't keep all of them.

If you need professional help, I guess I need to be locked away! (I have at least twice that, and siince I haven't counted for a while, it maybe more like 3x!) (and that's not counting my boxed of DVD's to get rid of.)

I probably had atleast that many if not more but sold all the ones I really never touched anymore. 50+. I'm curious where I'm at now on w/o dvds lol. probably still alot.

I'm such a workout DVD nerd that I have spreadsheets listing them. I list them by workout rather than DVD, though, so not sure how many DVDs I have. I have about 140 workouts but of course Cathe will often have 2 or 3 workouts per DVD. Then on my list of all the DVDs I've had, including the ones sold, I have a total of 328. I've gotten rid of A LOT of stuff.

It's good to have variety. :D

328?!?! Do you like them all? That's like once/year workout!!!! I won't dare ask how many shoes you have. ;)

I usually get rid of the ones I don't like right away.... I"m so glad I"m not alone. This is the first time I counted them. I will keep the list close by for whenever I"m tempted to buy another one.

Nope, I didn't say that very clearly. 328 is how many I've had, period, including the many I've sold or passed on after trying them. And yeah, I do have a lot of shoes (would have more if I had the space for them).

I was going to say... I imagine most Catheites have around a hundred dvd's. Last time I counted I had 80. For a long time I didn't touch most of them. However, since I recently decided I need a lot more variety and to stop being married to one instructor's approach I've been pulling them down, dusting them off, and giving them a fresh spin - with no prearranged plans about what I should be doing. And I'm having a lot of fun playing with all kinds of workouts. I'm still sore from an old Firm (Transfirmer) workout I did three days ago! I had been thinking I'd wasted my money buying all those workouts but now I feel anything that can still make me sore or breathless isn't a waste and should be used.

Interesting. Maybe someone could recommend someone to me that I haven't tried (based on my list) Here's mine:

OMG!!!

No wonder I am bored to tears with mine. All I have are Cathe's!!!
How's Amy Bento and Tracy Stael???
Give me some ideas PLEASE!!!
elliemom :D:D

i only have one tracey staehle but i love that one(cardio sweatfest) but its deceivingly harder then i expect. i am biased that i love love amy. i don't have her step workouts(just couldn't get the hang of it) but love the hi/lo floor cardio. i like her kickboxing workouts too but they are a bit more choreographed then cathe. strength work is different and refreshing but like cathe, she does change tempo, reps, and equipment to keep interesting. some of her stuff is now at netflix if you are a member, you can try it out! she is not puke your guts out intensity but defiantly a challenge.

I almost didn't open this thread because I thought maybe the title was a brag about your weight, and the last time I was that small was eighth grade! However, since you're referring to workouts, I feel better, as any number higher than mine makes me feel so much more disciplined than I really am. My number used to be about 50, but I just sold some at a recent yard sale, so I'm down by about 10. Of course, my collection is never really complete.....is it? ;)

Questions

Melanie, I don't think 110 is so many! But is that workouts or DVDs (many containing multiple workouts)? Makes me want to go count mine!

Lainiefig, I should put a list of mine together, too! I've sometimes ordered something that I thought I didn't own, but really did. (oops!) Happened a lot with The Firm, back when they kept renaming and repackaging them.

But why do you put yours in a spreadsheet, rather than just a list in Word?

Okay, I'm going to count my workout DVDs (not VHS's, which I don't use anymore). I'm dying to know! :D

Okay so now you made me count!

128 DVD's plus the p90x set plus the 2 preorders for KCM plus the new Powerstrikes that are tempting me terribly, plus the STS DVD's that are coming some day, plus the 24 in my trade drawer....whew!!

Some people collect salt and pepper shakers - I collect exercise DVD's. We all have things we love and as long I can pay my bills and I have room on my shelf (did I mention my shelf covers half the wall of my basement?) I figure I'm okay. How's that for rationalization?
