Mabdoo: so ironic that you posted this, because last night, our coach went over all the pre-marathon week prep that we should follow, and everything you outlined is everything he outlined

. Wow, he really does know what he's talking about

. Ha, we tease him a lot on that--he gets a bit long-winded sometimes and it makes him an easy target, ha!
Yes, I always puff-paint my name on my TnT jersey, because it is such a pick-me-up to hear someone call your name at the most crucial moments of your event. Sometimes I can be so delirious from fatigue (mind you, this is in half-marathons, so I'm a little nervous about how I'll be during something twice as long LOL), and when I hear someone call my name, I'll think, "Wow, they know my name!" and I'll forget that, duh, I puffy-painted it on my jersey!
I'm looking forward to that the most, though--just having that support and love poured out to us. The Nike event especially has LOTS of people lining the streets (so much so that you can't always see your family and friends through the crowd), and the energy that crowd pumps out is amazing. I know how much their energy has carried me through the last leg of the 13.1 miles, so I'm counting on that to get me through the last 6.1 miles of the full (which I've been told are also the toughest miles of the entire course--oh joy!).
Trying not to get nervous now, but I can't help it. I just keep reminding myself how awesome my 20-miler felt and how I didn't think I could ever do anything like that, and yet I did it. I'm hoping for the same kind of experience on the "real" run--hills (all 7 or 8 of 'em) and all!
