Good Morning Hotties!!!

I am feeling almost 100% now better. My dogs were sick as well with vomiting, etc. and when I look back, I remember eating some chicken I made for my son and myself...my son left the chicken out, and maybe longer then I realized at the time. I fed some of that same chicken to dogs and they were sick same day with me so it could have been food poisoning, but I did have the headaches before that too so could have been traction plus food poisoning which made the headache seem like forever. I was still tired yesterday from it all.

Today I am going to dentist and then gonna workout my legs and do ab work. Will post stats later.

Can't believe its the 15th!.. I saw the first topic in this thread read "Sept 08.." --and I actually thought for a minute it was the 8th lol..
Whatever :T

I did legs on friday and I think they hurt more now then they did on saturday! Think I may have pulled a HS or somehting as I don't think this is normal.. any ideas how long it takes somehting like that to heal??

Sgl DB Rows 3 X 8 haven't done these in a couple ,onths prolly, surprised how much easier they are with the same weight.
BB Rows 5 X 10 I still hate these, Im so shoulder dominant that I don't feel I can isolate my back enough.. but I don't have a pullup bars at the house so..
Decline DB Pullovers 5 X 8 whew these got hard- good thing for rest pause :)

Shoulders-
BB Presses 5 X failure (14/9/7/8/6)
Bent Lat Raises X 4 (pyramid style 10/12/14/12)
Band Raises w/ pulses
although its been like 5 days since i last did shoulders they felt a little burnt out.. they get a lot of work with other stuff so I left out the static isolation presses

Bi's-
Close Grip BB CUrls 5 X failure (12/8/8/8/7)
have to start focusing more on the bi's-- pullups arent enough
Pyramid Down Curls X 3 (8/12/14)
Crazy 8 Partials - 24 reps total
Reverse Curls X 2
Wrist Curls X 2

I don't know why this session took me an hour and a half.. I didn't want to stress myself toomuch wit doing ab's so Ill save it for later or tomorrow.

I decided to use yesterday as my OFF day for cardio as I didn't think there was anything I could do that didnt require using my legs lol! My HS are really cramped.. not sure Ill be doing any today eighter unless I can find a place to go swimming :)

Toasty- Glad you're feeling better! I hate how it can take so long to heal and be out of commission :-\
 
WEEK 4

I can't believe I'm already into week 4. Did Chest and Tri's today and had a pretty good workout. Didn't feel all that strong this morning for some weird reason. Off day I guess.

1:30 minutes rest between each set and exercise; 3 minute rest between going from chest to triceps.

CHEST
Incline Barbell Press:
100# -6/6/6 (up 5#)
95# - 10 (up 5#)
90# - 12/12 (up 5#)
***Went up this week to test the shoulder. Did ok here.

Bench Press:
110# - 6/6/6 (up 5#)
100# - 10 (up 5#)
90# - 12/12 (same as last week)
***Started feeling a slight pull in my right shoulder so I dropped 10# with the last two sets.

Decline Flyes:
32's - 12/12/12/12 (up 2#)
***These felt good. Probably could have done 35's.

TRICEPS
Weighted Bench Dips:
80# - 6/6 (up 5#)
75# - 10 (up 5#)
70# - 12/12 (up 5#)
***80# was hard to balance. Weight felt good once I got the exercise started.

Close Grip Bench Press:
95# - 6/6 (up 5#)
90# - 10 (up 5#)
85# - 8
80# - 10
***Last two sets were a struggle. Was suppose to make 12 reps each but didn't make it.

Lying Triceps Extension:
60# - 6/6 (same as last week)
55# - 10 (same as last week)
50# - 12/12 (same as last week)
***Didn't move up here because I was fried!

10/10/10 - 5's:eek::eek::eek::eek:***count was up 6 & down 6 - shoulders were on fire:D:p:D:p****

Superset B
One Arm Row
6/6/6 - 52's
DB Floor Press
8/8/8 - 35's ***count was up 4, hold 2, down 4 - found that if you come to a complete rest after each rep exercise is very hard because of having to restart the movement:p;):p;)***

Superset C
DB Tricep Ext.
8/8/8 - 20's
Alt. Db Curls
8/8/8 - 23 1/2's

It will be interesting to see what, if any, results I get from all this slow work.

Then lowered the weight and did an extra set of tri ext. & db curls for left arm (trying get it to catch up) using a very slow count for both up & down. Left arm was pumped after that. Then cardio was done at 60/60 ratio for 6 rounds running outside. I think I did the wrong cardio though, half way through I realized it should have been 30/90 ratio. Oh Well!

Char - Glad you are feeling better. About a week ago bothe DH and DD had a little virus that left them with major headaches and aching bodies.

Debbie - Wow week four already! What kind of results are you getting?

I tried bulking the past few months, I think I got carried away and was eating things that I normally don't, to up the calories n' got a little too fat :::blush::: .. now I'm tyring to lose a few so I can start again-- CLEAN :)
So far Ive lost about 2.5-3 lbs.. it's been about two weeks or so.
What's your goal for your weightloss??
 
Debbie - A most excellent job! At this point though until my shoulder heals I would be very afraid of doing that rotation. The wrong movement or too much weight sends pain shooting through the shoulder :(:(.

Actually, I'm not cutting. This part of the rotation is more geared towards building. But I seem to always lose weight when I build, it's really weird. The last 4 weeks is geared towards cutting so we shall see how it goes. I'm just excited to see these results. I'm expecting a stand-still for a few weeks, especially with the 2nd 4 weeks, so I'll be excited while the results are coming in! LOL!

Thanks Linda! And I agree. I'm having issues with my wrist and my shoulder so I have to be careful. But I will listen to my body and take it from there.

M1: Chocolate ON whey protein shake w/ 4 strawberries & 2 oz. banana (pre workout)
M2: Same as M1 (post workout)
M3: Chocolate Fudge BSN w/ 1/2 c. oats & 1 tbsp. Naturally More PB
M4: 2 - 4 oz. turkey patties; 1 slice 12 grain bread; 1 tbsp. raw almonds; plum
M5: Peanut Butter Clif Builder Bar
M6: Salmon; Sauteed veggies w/ 2 tsp. parm cheese
M7: Yellow Squash omlette

2074 calories (2000 goal)
62 g. fat - 27%
199 g. protein (201 g is goal) - 38%
193 g. carbs - 37%


Dang it, I wish I can get my fat intake down. I cut out 1 tbsp. of almonds and the ground flaxseed I usually eat and still I'm quite high.
 
Workout is done. I burned lots of calories. I did Sharon's All Body Attack. I burned loads of calories. Workout was 1 hr 2 minutes and calorie burn was 649. Barry's bootcamp arms and abs with some mofifiers was
awesome, I burned 229 calories. (modifiers was pushups as triceps and kickbacks.(this is just for me not their workout.) . I did tricep pushups ( I thinkk this is what they are aiming for) but their hands were so far apart. These workouts are good but need some work. I worked shoulders alot with these two workouts. Later this week I will hit legs heavy.

Charlotte, so glad that you are doing better. Did your DS get sick too?? Regardless you are doing better. That had to be not nice having sick dogs while you were sick!

Debbie, awesome job. 4# and 3% bodyfat is great progress.

Pebblesus, yea, some of those calories we eat catch up with us:)

Linda, nice workout. You will work past the shoulder.
 
WOW! You guys are all rockin'! Yesterday I did power hour again for legs only - and increased the weights - and the I did chins - 8/8/8 that is HUGE for me. Then I did dips on the dip station 6/6/6 which is another big accomplishment. tonight I will do some cardio. I am traveling for work the next couple of days, so i will be mostly running or power walking.

Mealso for today

M1: carb master yogurt mixed with cottage cheese
M2: salad
M3: turkey wrap on light flat out with cucumbers and salad dressing
M4: carrots / cucumber and v8
M5: eggs with 1 slice toast and fruit

calories 1100 - low for me!
31% fat
35% carb
34% protein
 
Hi Guys!

I woke up with another stinkin' migraine today. I guess they're making up for lost time after my bike crash. :mad: I went 3 months without one! Oh well, at least I have meds for them so it was gone fast. But the meds make me a little weak so I didn't work out. PLUS, my knee is still all messed up from my run last night. WTH? I think I'm falling apart. I'm trying to decide what to do tonight. I think I'll lift upper body since that seems to be doing fine at the moment. :)

Char - I'm glad you're feeling better. I got sick on chicken once on a business flight to Italy. Let me just tell you that was the LONGEST flight of my entire life! I can't even tell you how many times I barfed in the little airplane bathroom. ICK! I felt like crap for about 24 hours. I actually lost weight on that trip to Italy. Who loses weight in Italy???
 
Today I did good on eating till tonight. Went and bought a hot fudge caramel pecan sundae. Totally lost my mind I guess. Lunch was a salad and some cottage cheese, I ate a special K bar for a snack, then dinner was a salad with some eye of round steak strips and fast free dressing and bbq sauce. So the sunday was the bulk of my calories. Probably as much as all of Ally's calories. LOL

Suz, sorry about the Migraines. The meds always wipe me out too. I hope your knee gets better. That would be awful to be sick on a plane like that. I bet you were glad to get off and into a hotel or something.

Ally, I would be starving on that low of calories LOL
 
Hello, all. Just finished my workout, which was the first half of Tracey's High Intensity Step Mix 2, then the abs from that dvd (fairly short), then the planks and bosu sections of Core Blast (I don't have a bosu, so I used my step).

Great job on the chins and dips, Ally! =)

Suz, that flight to Italy sounds like pure misery. I've been nauseated on plane plenty of times (I get motion sick), but never actually hurled, but even sans vomit...I feel miserable, so I can't imagine multiple trips to that horrid little airplane bathroom to puke. Ugh. I'd probably spend the whole flight praying to be taken out of my misery, lol.

Goodness...I actually feel like I've been fairly productive today, and yet still havent got done all that I wanted to. Grrrr...
