Control The Damage Feb Month!

Good Morning.

I am going to be tired today. I went to bed too late (10pm) and got woken up too early (3am). I laid in bed until 4 TRYING to fall back to sleep but it just never happened. Booh. :(

The lower body is definitely sore this morning and would probably be worse if not for last night's stretch! I have a confession to make though...I had a bit of a buzz when I went to start the stretch...made it interesting for sure! :p By the time I was done it was gone though and I didn't fall over! Not even once! LOL

Lori:: Nice goin' on the job! Just make sure this gal in accounting isn't "stepping on toes" by offering you a position in her dept. What I mean is hopefully your supervisor is aware and OKAY with it. :)

Diana:: We have to add my DH to the list of "the injured"! LOL He is having an issue in his wrist that he is actually going to see a dr about today! Sorry your knee is giving you so much trouble. Good idea to eliminate step. When I did a lot of stepping I had knee issues a lot more often then I do now! You mentioned Core Attack-it's 15-20 mins long and it's tough! ENJOY! ;) I am so excited to hear what you think of Combat!!!!!:D Yep, me and role playing do NOT get along but luckily he isn't so much focused on the "delivery" as he is on WHAT is being "delivered". YKWIM? I guess once I am very confident with what I need to know/do then I can work on the presentation of it...Kind of like dress rehearsal for an acting job I guess! :p

Laura:: Hey! I heard that, Miss Laura! :p Yes, you too are a bit exercise ADD yourself woman! Atleast I ATTEMPT to follow rotations! Fail I may but I start out strong! LOL Isn't it something that the Combat work out you avoided coz you thought you wouldn't like it is now your favorite!? :D

WED / Hump day ..

Morning Ladies ..

Finally back at my desk .. hoping for a calmer day .. it has been totally insane here lately! we had a GREAT workout last night - 20 min interval run on TM - then circuits of heavy weights then plyo work - then circuits of lunges/squats/courtseys and pushups/core/plank and ub :eek: DOMS: butt - hammies - and tris!!! have to admit .. felt like the old days - teaching and inflicting pain on people :D:D:D

Lori - Oh I wont be "killing" anything .. LOL .. a target maybe .. LOL .. I leave the hunting gathering thing to DH, DB and SIL!! ;) I just shoot to stay in practice in case of emergency!!! WTG on the promo!!!! wow that is wonderful!!!!

Di - oh man - the knee! I hate to say when you said you did IMAX3 the other day (cpl weeks ago) I shuddered that is the one that ruined my knee on - and I will NEVER do it EVER again!! in fact I have pretty much eliminated stepping from my fitness routine .. I do the stuff in AT and TTM but have to be REALLY carefull - SIL will get on to me - remind me WATCH YOUR KNEE!!! Stepping is the culprit to my knee problems 100%!!! Di - you can easy do the combat 30 adn core attack together - combat 30 is 30 min and core attack is about 25 ...

Wendy - LOL I know I am QUEEN of exercise ADD - :eek: :p and yes thanks to YOUR exercise ENABLING ability I did get Combat .. which turns out to be my FAVORITE right now .. COMBAT and LIS are my GO TO workouts (well my running too) and if I have not told you THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU .. yes .. you were right .. AGAIN!!! :rolleyes:

Jacque - hoping your back is ok!

OK - sooooo the sun is FINALLY out today .. today may call for a run!! the sunshine is calling my name .. if I only had about 45 more minutes of sunshine tho .. it would be perfect!!! OK - have a great one! ..

I did AfterBurn this morning! After not doing this w/o for a while, I really enjoyed it this morning!

Lori-you certainly have busy days. So glad I'm past those.:D Other than following up with DS3 to check on his homework status, I'm free to do other things like laundry and dinner! Good thing you don't have a hard time falling asleep after your evening w/o's! I loved your use of 2 TV's!!!

Laura-I love Imax 3 and hope I never have to give that up! I'm so looking forward to Combat 30 and Core Attack tomorrow morning. I doubled checked this morning and it should be delivered today!

Wendy-oh no, DH is injured now...GGGRRR. What do you think of Turbo Fire? I really like Chalene, but am guessing I will love Combat more. It's lunch time here, probably safe to make a dr. appt now.

Jacque-How are you doing? How's the back doing? Hoping you are on the mend.

Hi Girls

Checking in from my phone. Lets see how many spelling mistakes I can make!

I get to sleep in a little tomorrow cause the boys won't need dropping off :) by me anyway so I can probably sleep till 6:30. Getting up at 5:45 is for the birds. I'm suppose to be going to a girls night bday party Friday night but I don't know if I'll have the energy. I may have already talked bout this....I'm losing my mind these days anyway.

I don't know what tonight's workout will be. Maybe GS ub and a shorter cardio.

I met with the girl in accouting today and she offered me $2 more then I'm getting now and another $2, which will bring me to $19/hr in about 2 months. That's pretty good. I set out hoping to make at least $14 in a job. Apparently my old supervisor doesn't know anything about this yet. Upper management were the ones who suggested I fill the spot. Most of the girls here started out in this position so I'm sure they won't be surprised. I was suppose to be helping the accounting girls anyway so it's just as well I join them and make more $.

Wendy** I don't know whose stepping on whose toes but all I know is I said yes. I have to look out for #1 and I'm with the same company so it's not as if I'm quitting. When they both get back from holidays they will be told what's going on. I haven't said anything to anyone in the office cause I don't need to be a blabber mouth. Who knew asking for work to keep me busy would have worked in my favor so fast. Do you wake up at 3 to workout? Cause if you do, you can now be crowned the craziest of us all!

Laura** lol....keep the gun for practice! That's pretty funny! I'd have no trouble shooting someone if I felt threatened. Or my children. I'd be like the big ole mama bear! I'm looking forward to a run this weekend. That's if I'm not sick from something else. I figure by then I'll have a yeast infection from the antibiotics!

Diana** I'm looking forward to less busier days but I know then I'll be looking back and wishing my boys were small again. I don't know what I'll do with them this weekend while dh is napping. He's on nights. It's hard to take yhr baby to things he can enjoy. I think ab is one of my favs!

K...gonna scoot! I'm gonna run to the grocery store on my lunch break!

Hello. :)

I got to sleep in today util 6. Felt great! Today is either a rest day or a p.m. work out day. Depends on if I intern tonight or not. Chances are that I will which would make tmrw my rest day and another opportunity to sleep in! YEAH BABY! LOL :p

I am sore. IDK what body parts to work later coz upper and lower both hurt! :eek: Lower is still from power legs. Y'day's TF work out was supposed to help to keep me DOMS free in the upper body for tonight but dangit I have DOMS anyway! Probably from wearing weighted gloves for the first maybe 10 or15 minutes of the work out. I had to take them off after that! It was too dang hard! :eek: I guess I will just have to suggest that we work the least sore parts tonight! LOL

No time for personals now but I'll be back at lunch for that!

Today is my FRI - :cool: - yup I am on vaca tmrw :D DH and I have a fun weekend planned! Ready for 5 o'clock to get here .. woohoo!

Wendy - so these DOMS do they include the oh so coveted buttocks???? you have been soooo trying to get??? LOL - be careful what you wish for sometimes you might get it .. LOL!! :p have fun interning!!

Lori - oh Lori - always have time and energy for a girls night Bday party .. LOL .. go and have fun .. hope you are feeling better and no backlash from antibiotics .. eewww .. yup that would not be fun!!!

Di - report ASAP on your COMBAT - hope you got it and hope you were able to do it today!

Laura:: Funny you should ask that Laura coz NO, my GLUTES really are NOT sore!!! Going to have to ask for every glute burner known to man tonight I guess! :p So is a trip to the casino in your plans this weekend? We had to miss out on our usual Prez Day w/e jaunt because of our upcoming Vegas trip! Probably won't see AC until Memorial Day at this point unless we do really well in LV! Oh and no problem on the exercise dvd enabling. It's what I do best! ;):D

Lori:: Dang girl! Moving up fast! If upper mgmnt suggested it then there shouldn't be any issues. Congrats and let us know how it works out! :) Um no, I don't get up at 3am to work out! :eek: If I am up at that hour it's coz I'm having trouble sleeping like the other night. I usually get up between 4:30 and 5am and start my work out around 5:30...

Diana:: AB! That's it! That's what I need!!! LOL Thanks for the idea! That work out promises to deliver glute DOMS for me so if I don't get some soon I will be popping it in my DVD player so I can tell Miss Laura that I finally have glute DOMS! :p I am really enjoying TF! I swore I wouldn't like it but I was so wrong! Glad I found a good deal that enticed me to give it a try. The work outs are lots of fun and definitely provide a great sweat! :D

Hi Ladies,

I did like Combat 30 and think that is a perfect disc to start with. It was a bit slower paced allowing me a few reps to pick up the moves. I loved Core Attack though!!! The boxer shuffle, can't do that so I marched in place. On the bright side, I have an appt with a Dr. tomorrow to check out my knee and tell me what I can and should not be doing.

My day has been spent testing, not my favorite...and all day tomorrow will be the same.

My first triathlon is scheduled for June 9th. The tri training starts on April 9th, and my swim lessons start on March 16th. I'm also taking ViPR in March as well as my bootcamp class. My intention was to sign up tonight, but I'm going to wait and see what the Dr. says. The second triathlon is in August.

TG-Glad you are back. CC is a good w/o to start with too! So Laura and Wendy suckered me in to order Combat!

Wendy-Well I have glute DOM's from AB, an sore hammies too! Gotta love how this w/o really hits the back side good. I like turbo fire too!

Laura-enjoy your long weekend. I'm sure your girls are starting to see that you can get a great w/o at home. When I tell people I exercise at home, well they pretty much think I just walk or whatever. They don't understand that we kick our butts every day with fun/sweaty w/o's...and let's not forget...we enjoy them too!

Lori-yay for moving up so quickly! You can save up your money for a new house...or more lulu. :)

Good Morning. :)

Well last night was a bust. Trainer ended up getting caught up in flight delays, etc on the way home from his biz trip so we had to cancel our appointment. :(

That being said, I decided to work out after dinner. Here's what I did:
TF Lower Body 20, Upper Body 20, Core 20 and Stretch 10. :D

Today's plan is A1 Vertical Plyo for the first time (Oh Lord help me! :eek:)

I still have to try Upper Elite. I was going to do it last night but I just didn't feel like pushing THAT hard and didn't want to waste my time doing it if I wasn't going to give it my all. :rolleyes:

So y'day afternoon the mgr at my job who I had my 2nd interview with (the one who ultimately hired me) called me into his office. OMG I was petrified! LOL Anyway, they let someone go on Friday (she called out like 10 times and was late to work or left early like 6 times...all in the span of one month's time! :eek: I was telling DH this and he thinks that she wanted to get fired....if she did it certainly worked! LOL) But anyway, I digress...so he calls me in and tells me this and explains that they are trying to decide how to fill the position so he was asking me about my background and if some of her job responsibilites would be something I'd be interested in doing! Bottom line is that I could end up working for accounting (Lori, I think you and I are on parallel paths! LOL) in addition to what I do now OR he mentioned it could also mean moving over there f/t if I wanted instead of staying in the file clerk position! He said he has to talk to the girl who is in charge of that dept, etc and he will keep me posted on what they decide. I'm excited! I think I would like that kind of work! Fingers crossed!:D

Di:: Wow you have quite the tri schedule set up there! Good luck at the doc's! I hope it's something minor that's a quick ez fix! So you liked Combat? Wait...it gets better! :D

TG:: Welcome back! Where have you been hiding? Great work out!

Ok, well I have an errand to run at lunch today so not sure I'll be able to make it back but I may stop in quickly after my work out this morning to cry about how my w/o almost KILLED ME!:eek: LOL

So surprised to see new workouts coming from Cathe; Im in:rolleyes: This morning, I started with a steady 15 min run than onto 4DS all upper.

Fit mommy. Even still you got in your workout, awesome! I'm back.

I'm back to say that Vertical Plyo did not kill me but it came close! :eek::p I enjoyed the work out though...as painful as it may have been! ;)

So I got called into a meeting with the big manager I talked to y'day and the accounting person early this morning. I am going to start training with her this afternoon! I will split my time between the 2 attorneys I was originally hired to work for and her. Should keep it interesting for sure! As time goes on they will decide if any additional duty changes, etc need to be made.

Tmrw afternoon (after my hair appointment-getting my totally overgrown roots taken care of!-and lunch!) I am going to the gym to intern for a bit. I'm hoping he still plans on a work out b/c I won't have time to do one on my own AND intern tmrw b/c we are headed to the bowling alley after dinner tmrw night. My schedule is off the wall this weekend! On Sunday we are crazy busy too! :eek:

TG:: I pre-ordered the new Cathe's right away through the FB link last night mysef! :D

Hi Ladies,

I was not feeling very good when I got home from work, so I went straight to bed...and missed my class. I felt better this morning. Selected DWP since I was short on time.

This afternoon I'm heading to a new dr. to get my thyroid checked and medication refilled, and have him check out my knee. It's only getting worse, not better. My cardio/circuits plan isn't working out too well. I may end up back on Xtrain after all.

DS put Ride on DH's Ipod and I may try that after bodypump tonight. I haven't tried spinning and have no idea how my knee with respond. Staying for BodyStep is out of the question though.

Wendy-I'm preordering Cathe's new stuff too! Glad to hear you are loving A2, Shaun T rocks!!! Good for you, is this new position a promotion also? You must have some accounting background if you've worked in collections. I think splitting your time between the 2 sounds like a good place to start. You can determine if you really want to move into that department or not.

TG-All of 4DS UB, how long was that? I love the shoulder work in that series, but not all the pushups!:p

Hi Ladies,

The Dr. said I most likely have an LCL tear and possibly an MCL tear as well. Due to my new insurance I can't go straight to an MRI like he would prefer. He did an X-ray and is sending me to physical therapy for 4 weeks. After that course of action my new insurance should approve an MRI. I'm not digging this new insurance at all. Additionally, I need to reach my $2000 deductible before my insurance pays for anything.:mad: I'm also back at my highest weight and am not having any luck in the weightloss dept. He said that is most likely due to my thyroid issues since my diet and exercise routine hasn't changed much. I should have my results back next week and a new thyroid prescription. Unfortunately that doesn't mean the weight will just fall off.

I made it to the rec ctr for BodyPump this afternoon and then did about 1/2 of RIDE. OMG, I thought I was going to die doing ride. I was wiped after about 10 minutes but turned down the tension a bit and rode at my own pace. I may try this one again on Sunday. It's so disappointing to not be able to finish a w/o. I only had 30 mins for RIDE but had no idea what a butt kicker it was.

Guess I should be figuring out what to do tomorrow. We are going to Dave & Busters for Jerod's Bday with his buddies. It should be a good time for sure!

Man are my quads and calves sore from V Plyo! :eek:

I think I am going to end up doing Upper Elite after lunch today. I am supposed to intern but he has an offsite meeting at 1 and isn't sure when he'll be back. That being said, if it's too late I won't be able to do it so I want to make sure I get a work out in. If I go and he wants to do a work out I will figure it out at that point...

In the meantime I have my 9:30 desperately needed hair appointment this morning....

So I started training in the accounting dept y'day afternoon! Looks like something I will enjoy so I am excited! I will be helping her 3 mornings per week to start and go from there.

Y'day I got an email from a local training facility (not sure if it's a gym or a pt studio) asking me if I'd like to come in and interview for an internship with them. They got my name from WITS and WITS gives out grads of the program with the higher test scores when gyms/etc approach them for people. Knowing this is a definite confidence booster for me! :D Needless to say, I will be contacting this place and seeing what comes of it!

I think I am just going to let the YMCA internship go. I have no motivation to do it. It's simply too much of a pain to set up the appointments and the one guy I did that little bit of time with I wasn't impressed with at all. Oh well.

Diana:: OMG so sorry about your knee. Do they think PT will help solve the isues or is it strictly the way to get insurance to pay for the MRI? Spin is not easy so don't get down on yourself for having a hard time with that work out.

TG:: Great work out!!!
