Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered the Ryka Enlight II shoes from Zappos this week. When I received them, I realized that they were the Enlight I, not II. Long story, short, ALL of the stock was mislabeled and they do not have ANY Enlight II! I am so upset because I loved the Enlight II and haven't been able to find them anywhere!

I just wanted to give you a heads-up if you happened to order them this week as well.
 
I just got a pair delivered 2 days ago... I just went and checked inside and they don;t say Enlight II like the other pair I have, just "Enlight"... I am going to e-mail them right away.. Thanks for the info!
 
I ordered the Enlight II also and I got the Enlight I also. Part of me just wants to get my money back but then I have a pair of the Enlight I that are getting worn out so I feel like maybe I should just keep this pair since the Ryka N-Gage are a lot more expensive. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to figure it out after I get a response from Zappos.com.

Oh wow! Thanks Kara for the heads up! I actually just ordered some this past week. I already have them packed to send back so I can't check if they are really Enlight II's. I was so bummed that they didn't fit right because I'd heard such great things about the Enlight II's...so maybe I should still try to find them after all :)!

The Enlight IIs are awesome in my opinion. That is how I realized that the shoes I ordered weren't right. They didn't fit well at all!

If you can find them in your size somewhere, they are definately worth it, IMO.

I e-mailed them to let them know that a bunch of us purchased these in good faith, believing we were buying the Enlight II's. I compared these to the actual Enlight II's that I bought, and there are slight differences. The kicker is that the large picture that they have on the web site, is, in fact the Enlight, not the Enlight II ! I wonder if they were had by some distributor or warehouse that happened to have an overstock of Enlight's and sold them to Zappos as Enlight II's knowing how many people out there were bummed because the Enlight II's were discontinued. I am waiting for my reply as well, and will let you know what they tell me. I am keeping these anyway, just disapointed in Zappos because I really like their site.
 
I noticed the difference right away, but I'm keeping mine. Heck, the tongue doesn't move around on these at all when I work out (I constantly have that problem with my Enlight II's). I'm one very happy customer even if what Zappos did was a major boo boo.

Here is the response I received from Zappos:

"I apologize for this confusion, but you most definately received the Enlight II, for the Enlight, is not in production any more. The Enlight II has a bit more color and more air vents also the additional nitracel pad in the forefoot, for added cushioning in the crash area. It also has a small area of web detail which makes the shoe more flexible. The only place you can find the Enlight, is ebay, which is pretty good evidence, people are trying to purchase the first shoe and it is no longer available.

If you look at the tag it doesn't say Enlight II like the original I own (it just says Enlight) and the model # is 0508y117314 where Enlight II I own is 0412y111144, but as I said before...I am keeping whatever model they sent me...the tongue doesn't move around like the old Enlight II :) Interesting response from Zappos. So I guess they changed the model number too and took the II off the the tongue tag...hmmm.

That response is interesting. Hmmm, I know that mine were just the Enlight because I have my old pair of Enlight II and they are not the same shoe and unfortunately did not fit me well, either.

The rep I spoke to told me that all of the shoes were mislabeled. I guess it doesn't matter as long as they fit you well. I was just so disappointed because the Ryka-N-Gage doesn't fit me either. Back to the drawing board!

I really do believe they honestly changed the model (for the better IMO)...I just did a online search and I noticed on other websites the Enlight II now has a different tongue color just like I believe we all received. In my old model the tongue was white (now it is navy). The fit for me is exactly the same without the tongue defect. I love working out now ...I no longer have to stop to move the tongue back in place after it slides halfway down the side of my foot :)

You may want to try another brand...I like Ryka because I have a narrow heel. You may want to check into maxair. Those also have great cushioning (many aerobic instructors like them). I have a pair of those as well and I use them for Kickboxing. They are also cut small so you have to make sure you buy a big enough size;)

The ones that I just got have a grey tongue not blue. I have the old Enlights and these are exactly the same. These can't be the Enlight II's.

ETA: If you look at the wedbsite for Rogan's Shoe Store www.rogansshoes.com they have the Enlight II's on there and they look totally different than the Enlights that we got from Zappos.com. I found this website and they do have my size in the Enlight II but I guess I might just keep the ones I have because I don't want to go through all of the hastle of returning them and then ordering from someone else.

I have the exact same ones from Rogansshoes.com and I tried to tell the Zappos customer service person this, however she is sticking to her "story" which is a differnt "story" from the other one who claims they were mislabeled.. oh well, my last response to them was that I would now be leary ordering from them since you may not get what you order!
