Yourself Fitness

Has anyone tried this? I saw it at the store and I almost bought it. I'm afraid the workouts might be boring or too easy. I've also been eying a playstation game called Kinetic. It's an exercise program that uses the eyetoy which is a little video camera so you need to move around and jump and kick and punch and stuff to play the game. Anyone try that one? What do you think?

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good

I got Yourself Fitness for Christmas. I was so excited about it but I think I used it four or five times. It's very easy and repetitive. I think the program advances the more you use it but I lost interest in it. I did the yoga exercises a few more times. I feel like that was the best part of it (but I don't usually do yoga so the moves are probably very basic). I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who uses Cathe consistently.

I have the Kinetic with the eyetoy. I enjoy it - but I can only use it when my kids are not around. They love it. My kids love the kickboxing. I love the cardio and the kickboxing - probably the kickboxing the most! You can program it to do any of the workouts consecutively or repeat. When kickboxing you can keep going as long as you pass each level - it keeps you moving - dodging, kicking, punching. It does require a well lit room from all angles. The punching and kicking are a lot of fun because you are actually punching kicking something that explodes when you hit it! I enjoy this and my kids love it - My 5 year old does the kickboxing until he can't move - all sweaty and red faced! I love seeing him enjoy the workout. Sometimes we do it as a family to as a game to try to get the high score - you would be surprised how many times my 5yr old has won! Also - if you have a memory card it will keep all of your stats - so it becomes a fun challenge to push yourself to beat your last score.
