Sorry, Laura. Just don't think about it.... ;)

But, hey. Like I said--thanks to this thread I will no longer be enjoying pork chops and applesauce. Only applesauce... :(

Ok, I live in NC so some of you may not know what I'm talkin' about but when I was dating my now DH, he would make brains, gravy and eggs for breakfast - The brains and gravy come in a can with a little picture of brains on a plate and he would make Liver Pudding sandwiches for lunch - The liver pudding is shaped in a rectangular block. It's green and you slice it and can eat it cold or fry it up.
Never tried them nor will I ever! So these don't count, but I just wanted to share!
1. Cole Slaw
2. Eggplant
3. Squid
4. Okra
5. Asparagus

I am sitting here eating lunch and reading this thread!

1. I agree with tpf and Carolyn and everyone else regarding organ meats and various animal parts.

2. I totally agree with Lauramax regarding okra. I ate it once expecting to like it, and was absolutely disgusted by the sliminess.

3. Beets. Probably the only vegetable I don't like aside from okra.

4. I've never tasted Spam, but I don't like the looks of it. I agree that it was a wonderful invention for war time, though.

5. Pickled tomatoes. My DH loves them, but for some reason the sight of them makes my stomach turn.

1. Sushi of any kind
2. Oysters or mussels
3. Squid
4. Collar/mustard/turnip greens
5. Any "parts" of an animal like feet, tongue, brains, liver etc.

Purple,

I am no longer a practicing Seventh Day Adventist-my relatives are though. But I kept the disgust for red meat/pork!:)

I still get cravings for those "VegeLinks" hotdogs:p Yum.
But chocolate? Wow, wish I hated chocolate!}(

I didn't mean to ruin anyone's "pork chops and applesauce"dinner!
:)

Oooh, I have smelled chitlins cooking, and about gagged. Gross. And what is that lunch meat that comes in those little cans with the devil on it?That just cannot be good.

1. Any kind of offal/organs - jsut can't do it. Oh, and cured meats
like salami, etc. yuck (mammals, in general, actually)
2. Beer
3. Chocolate (literally, if I take a piece of Godiva or something,
I inevitably spit it out) yuck - even the smell is gross
4. Cakes/brownies/most doughnuts and cookies (there are occassional
exceptions to the cookies, but few)
5. Generally, ice cream (I eat it maybe a few times a year and only
specific flavors - otherwise, I can walk right in and out
of the ice cream shop)

Ok. Here is mine:

1. Sour cream, mayo, cottage cheese, ranch dressing, and anything made with these in them!! I must have an aversion to white, creamy stuff!! (But I love frosting, whipped cream, pudding, etc.!!)

2. Pickles and olives.

3. Any kind of raw fish.

4. Beer

5. Nasty meat parts like tongue, eyeballs, brains, etc.

3. Any meat in a "loaf" shape, such as pimento loaf, bologna or Spam

NY25,
These last 3 items on your 'hate list' would be MY 3 major food groups IN A PERFECT WORLD!! }( (Aren't I just pathetic...)

I am lucky that chocolate is not my thing. There was a time someone got me this chocolate cake for my birthday and I started shaking, a friend ask what was wrong with me. A coworker went to Dubai and brought me this chocolate in August that is still in my house, I keep forgeting to give it away. According to him its the best chocolate in the world.
