your favorite rotation

So, I know we are all works in progress but I wanted to know what type of rotation has given you the best results? How many cardio/what type? How many strength training/what type? How many days per week and how long?

Strength training with moderate cardio gave me the best results of my life. I was leanest ever when I was doing a three day split routine with heavy enough weights for twelve to sixteen reps, ending with ab work on all three days. My weight sessions took me an hour to seventy minutes. I would fit in thirty to forty five minutes of machine cardio twice a week either intervals or steady state. My weight sessions were pretty grueling. I was working out at a gym and was recommended not to do longer cardio while doing resistance training, but was told keeping generally active or doing short sessions everyday was okay.

My best results have come from deciding to work out in the mornings aswell. I usually would work out for an hour and a half in the evenings. I decided to switch this to 30 minutes in the morning, and an hour in the evening. I am SO much stronger it's unbelievable. And I can do my Insanity workouts without breaks.. something I thought only superheroes could do!

My most recent rotation went like this:
Cardio in the morning except two days a week where I'd do Yoga

In the evening:
Week1: Gym styles split (only gym style + maybe abs in the evening) + total body workout
Week 2: Slow and Heavy Split + total body workout.
Week 3: 3 total body workouts and a circuit
Week 4: One total body workout and 3 circuits
(on evenings when no weights, I'd do cardio)

I have to say, apart from anything else, I had awesome fun!!!!

Every single rotation I've done since Oct. 2009, Cathe's beginner rotation, has had a place as favorite, while I'm doing them :). who would have thought I'd just keep right on going? hahahaha.....if I had to pick one:

Step-Kick-Jump & Pump from May & June 2010

it's the epitome of the success story that inspired me in the first place, contains the most inspiring dvds, and man, was my core feelin' it at the end.

Hi Vee, if you don't mind sharing, what was your split routine?

I seem to get best results with circuit workouts....recently I had great results with FF Summer rotation.
