You bunch of ENABLERS!

HA! I've instated a self-imposed SPENDING FREEZE, after last week's bill from the auto shop. My car, which is in GREAT shape and has NEVER had anything wrong, cost me almost $800 for 'something'. It's the first 'something' that I've ever had to spend $$$ on besides your normal routine maintenance.

BUT.....

I am sooooo tempted to just go and buy several things:
***Inclined Risers
***Pace Weights
***Cardio Coach with that sale/offer.

STOP POSTING ABOUT GOOD FITNESS DEALS! LOL

Gayle

p.s. Now I'm wondering who is going to be the first one to say, "just go buy it all"! LOL

i am so interested in the incline risers myself but once school ends i don't get a paycheck until school is back in session. and with all these snow days i don't get paid for, its going to hurt. so between saving to be prepared for the summer and to make up for lack of pay i have to be thrifty with my spending. i also want NROWL although not expensive really, its something i don't NEED right now.

I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE PUT MY MONEY ON YOU, SHELLEY! I KNEW IT!

Kassia-I'm in the exact same boat. Exactly. But in the back of my mind I keep thinking, "I ALWAYS find a way to make it work".

Pish-posh, Gayle ahead and order! You deserve it!

Plus, you'll have the happy feeling knowing that you spent less than me, who just pre-ordered STS, 4DS, and Low-max, not more than an hour ago!! }(

Gayle, don't buy it all...right now. Go buy the Cardio Coach deal, though. It's just till the end of the month. The other stuff will still be there later.

I was on a fitness spending freeze, too (saving for STS)...until I saw the CC sale. Had to jump on it. Just too good to pass up.

April

Coming here and expecting people to discourage you from purchasing new fitness equipment is like going to church and expecting them to tell you not to pray.;-)

So with that said, go for it:p

No seriousl, I agree with April, go for the Cardio Coach now and the rest can wait.

I don’t think I have spent so much on fitness since I joined these forums. I never thought a Free Forum would Cost so much. LOL!!! It is all good, what is life without health!!!

Debbie

LOL on this thread. If it helps, I ordered the risers yesterday even though I'm not sure I need them... okay, well I'm not sure I can justify the purchase is what I mean.

And April is right; the Cardio Coach thing is great. I've got them and although I *rarely* have an opportunity to use a cardio machine, I'm glad I have them. }( But I think I got them all for a deal when they were $60.

What I don't understand is why people aren't sharing the $20 gift card that comes with it so the next person can order? Maybe that $20 thing only has certain days it is valid?

Anyway, just know you will buy them all. Eventually. That should help! :p

Honestly...I think people (including me) get caught up in buying something just for excitement of buying something. Some times we have to focus less on that excitement...and think about the excitement of one day having enough money to cover medical bills, maybe have a retirement home, or just have a few bucks in the bank "just in case"

Yeah, I know...total party pooper (maybe I need to see that Cleanse Dude) but I think it's easy and often totally unnecessary to get caught up in the buying new and shiny stuff mentality.
Now off to poop on someone else's partaaay :7

Yes, Beavs, somebody has to be the sense of REASON, right? I have to admit, some of you DID talk me out of the risers. PLUS I'm not buying CC because I just prefer iTrain workouts and barely use the ONE CC I already have. But I think I'm giong to buy the Pace Weights as a BDay present for myself. I'm all maxed out on the dumbbells I currently have, and to buy a set of 35# dbs will cost me about that much, plus I need 40#s.

SO......out comes the ATM card for a purchase, but not BEFORE I check the used sports store in my area here!

(All that, Beavs, to say thank you for talking me down from the ledge!)

Gayle

I never thought I'd see the day Beavs would be the party pooper.

I leave it to my husband to be thrifty and sensible. I spend for a while until he scolds me and reels me in. I'm fortunate that I married an accountant who's really good at saving and smacking my little hand when I whip out the debit card too often.

I find it very difficult to resist the great fitness deals after a hubby-scolding, but I manage. I know he's right that I can't have everything.

Sometimes I think I want so many things it becomes so overwhelming that I decide to skip it all. STS, slanted risers, a new high step, bosu trainer...blah blah blah blah......I'm thinking what I really need is a fabulous vacation...it's been a rough year....and I'd like to sip a margarita and forget about it all for a little while. Would anyone care to join me?
