Xtrain All Out

I'm loosely following the 90 rotation. Now that I've done all of the workouts, I am playing around with the premixes. Some of the workouts, even though I honestly adore them, I want MORE. I feel this way about some of her other workouts and the premixes frequently deliver that "more" I am looking for. So this morning I did All Out Extreme--the last premix. I used 8 pound dumbbells instead of the 5 pound ones used on the DVD.

That did the trick! Wow! It finally got my heart rate into the HIIT range. I thought it was intense before, but it had "HIIT" in the title, so I was expecting more. When I do the main workout with 5 pound dumbbells, my heart got up in the anaerobic zone a few times, but most of the time it was just an intense cardio workout. Which is fine--but I wanted some HIITing! Well, I got it this morning. I loved this workout before--but I love the Extreme premix the most! It wore me out!

I plan to do the extreme premixes on Cardio Leg Blast and Super Cuts, too. I love both of those workouts, but want a bit more from both of them. Can't wait!

Cardio leg blast is awesome so far its my fav but i havnt done tabatisize or supercuts as of yet. But love CLB so far, so id love to know what the extreme premix will be. CLB is challenging as is but each time i feel stronger and hope i can handle the extreme on this one so id love to hear what its like as soon as you do it!
Have you done tabatasize yet?

Yes! I love Tabatacise! So far I've only done it once. I did premix 5--all 5 tabatas + core #1. Now that workout is INTENSE! I was wrung out by the 5th tabata and in my anaerobic zone the whole time. That workout seriously delivers. One of my favorites.

I honestly love every workout in Xtrain. They are my all time favorite workouts I think.

I also did the All Out Cardio premix - WOW! I got more from that workout that I expected... Cardio - absolutely; but the real surprise came from the super DOMS in my buns and thighs!

Thanks for sharing your premix story - I will give that one a shot:)
Premixes are a great way to change the workout with out actually changing the workout:D

Try 3 risers for All Out Low Impact Hiit step portion. It will give you what you are looking for. I never considered going higher than 2 until Cardio Leg Blast, so I tried it with AOLIH, and it did the trick.

Oh - that's a good point; especially because I'm tall I always use 3 risers:)

All out low impact Hiit

Hi Everyone,

I did all out low impact Hiit and had the same demanding feeling of more.

I will give the extreme premix a try at some point.

Thanks Jen for sharing your thoughts on this,

Kind Regards,

Ohhhhh that premix sounds great. What's in the extreme premix for "All Out"?

You do all 3 rounds, then you go back and do round 1 again. It's 53 minutes. I love it! And to make it even more intense--use heavier dumbbells and a higher step than what is used in the DVD and you will really get an awesome workout!

All Out LI HiiT Extreme

Wow. Just did this DVD for the first time, and I chose the Extreme premix based on other posts, and I had the time for a full hour of work. I used 5# weights and two risers.

This was a great workout for me. I definitely got my heart rate up. My legs were still tired from my "leg exhaustion" workout on Saturday, so I had to take a few extra breaks during HiiT to catch my breath and shake out my legs. I am going to work this into my own rotation, alternating this workout and Afterburn on Mondays.

Nicely done Cathe and crew!
