Thursday:
CTX All Upper

Tennis Update: Threats of rain / thunder & lightening in distance caused a cancellation…..I was all set to go – Oh Well, just left me more strength to crank out a solid Upper W/o!

~~~~~~~~Road Trippers Question of the day: ~~~~~~~~
What day do you arrive in NJ & what’s the FIRST thing you’re going to do when you get there?
Back later gators:*
Good morning xer's! W/O - something upper body. Dont' know what it is yet.
Last nights 18 mi. ride was one of my best yet. Few people on the trail due to high heat/humidity. I felt relaxed and timed it as 63 min. best mph/20.5 going down and 13 mph coming up. I'm working on cadence.
Tracy - sorry about the rain-out. It's always good to avoid lightning. Yikes! Wish I had CTX All upper, I would love to use it this am with you. Do a cardio party, like Nicole said. Very cool! Enjoy!
Will answer RTQOD later and post w/o from workplace. My co-worker is out- She is recovering from plastic surgery. She had her eyes done.
}( Bye!
Thanks for spending your lunch break w/ me yesterday! Did we have anything good? I do hope your shopping list got completed on time! {{{{SSX}}}}
*Music* - Well I think I can save a few bucks here… maybe I’ll try just turning on the music option of my favorite DVDs… I could be on to something here!
*Fluid Power* - I sure hope I like it! I do find that I enjoy variety in my yoga. There are day I want the gentle flow with Shiva/Eoin and days I want athletic Yoga like Kest/Baptiste/Spreen – I just wish it wasn’t so expensive having all this variety! I can tell ya right now there will be NO HANDSTANDS! One of my greatest fears is a broken neck… I think it would be a self fulfilling prophecy!
*AF* - Do we have a guest today?????? Maybe you’re pregnant again! I am still crampy today but day 3 at noon is usually when I take a turn for the better… Tomorrow I should be good as new!
*CAKES* - LOL ! Your bday is 2 weeks away! I thought maybe you’d eat the practice cake and make another for the real day! (wait- that’s ME!)
*DH* - VERY COOL GUY! My DH built our deck for me on our first Valentines Day married… ahhhhhh Its nice having handy men around isn’t it? Does DD1 help him w/ the projects? How does she adjust to all of the sudden less mommy time?
TracyX
So sorry about the long conversation yesterday… I wonder if you feel like you’re going in circles with all the family dialogue about FIL. **********Those weights are Awesome from bi/tri yesterday… are you feeling a burn this morning? *****I am so looking forward to the 4 directional lunges- those sound like a challenge for me legs & core!
DebraX
Glad to hear you started feelin better yesterday- we all have “off” days. ***** That’s funny about competiveness, DH gets so frustrated because I really could care less if I win at all the games but I actually do “win” board games a lot. He gets mad because I use no strategy and I’m always cutting up and laughing- I just think life is way to short to be so damn serious about “play” stuff. He was raised in the shadows of an older brother and his father always compared… So sad how those things get engrained and alter personalities. I wont play board/card games with our friends anymore because he becomes a man I don’t like. I think that’s why golf & fishing are so good for him- you compete only with yourself.
SwiftX
I feel HONORED to see you 2 days in a row! Whats got you up and on the computer so early today? ***** Its so fun to see the gains from X using Cathe again isn’t it? I think that’s a real credit to both their programs. *****Congrats on being R/T ready! You must be so excited- I’d be busting a gut about now! ***** Thank you so much for the heated patch thought! I TOTALLY forgot I had one of those and used it last night… What a difference! BLESS YOU!!!! **** Havent heard of David Swansen Yogi- I’ll check it out since your tips seem to be great ones for me this week! *****Congrats on your ride last night! That’s Xer Power baby!
Cheryl
ROF about wetting pants! I’m with ya woman!!!! I cannot imagine all the build up of excitement with all the R/T gals and THEN to have Cathe make a grand entrance! OH GOD- I just gave myself goose bumps & tears! I am so happy you are getting to do this! Next year we just gotta coordinate- designate 1 person to reserve multiple spots…
NicoleX
YOU GO GIRL! What a w/o day yesterday! OMG! I don’t think I would have considered any add ons to the leg marathon! YOU ROCK! **** Hope the decorating party was productive and great fun! **** There is NO WAY you would fall behind on a bike ride woman… You’re an Xer now- We can do ANYTHING!!!
WendyX
WHEN YA COMIN’ BACK??????????????????????????
AMY
Yeah on the cute new cut! That’s always a grand feeling. What a WONDERFUL brother you have! Getting flowers is such a rare occurrence in my life- I LOVE them! Enjoy yours for the next few weeks!!!
Teddygirl
GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!!!! Nice to see you so early! Enjoy those arm burns this morning! XXOO
All caught up folks and ready to crank out CTX UPPPER!
Hugs to all who follow!
Hi all,
Today is cardio, not sure what yet, but probably a mish mosh, just for fun! Then Fluid Power yoga.
I did Shakti last night and tried the handstand sequence again, as per Sandra's comments. That one is definitely easier and handstands really work the back and shoulders. She is so strong.
Younger DS is trying to get in shape, so I've had him running and yesterday he did BC. He was dying and he's in pretty good shape. That was a nice reminder that most of Cathe's stuff really is advanced.
OK, I have to vent. It is pretty much He** around here when DH is home and then evidently when he was working yesterday he chewed out DS and his friend who are working with DH for the summer. Unfortunatley, DH doesn't realize that he is the common denominator for all of the disputes, and blames it on everyone else. I'm sorry that he had to care for FIL all weekend, but that is not an excuse to treat everyone badly because he feels we are all insensitive.
DH won't go on the trip out west because of FIL, so we had decided that we weren't going to go, but with everything that has happened in the last 3 days, the kids want out of here (yes it's that bad). So the trip is on, and DH is REALLY mad, but it is his choice not to go. OK, enough of that.
Annointed - Tooth better? I really had no swelling when I had mine pulled and was back at work the next day.
Swifty - Glad to see you here two days in a row. My comments aren't so pleasant today. Sorry.
Traci - I'm doing one more heavy workout, then recovery while on vacation, then some more endurance oriented workouts for a couple of weeks. Maybe by then the new stuff will be here. I'm not competitive at all. DH is, but kids aren't. It makes for an interesting mix.
Off to do cleaning and miscellaneous yucky stuff that I can't get done when I'm working.
Tracy
Good morning,
The rotation today calls for a 45 min interval run, so I'm going to give CC#6 a whirl. Everyone seems to rave about Coach Candace, so I'm going to see what she's like. I'm not looking forward to working that hard this early in the morning, but I'm telling myself that when I get out there and start moving, it will be fine. I'll have a blast....right? At a bare minimum, all I'm asking of myself is to get outside and do some kind of activity for 45 mins. That doesn't sound so bad. Then I get to come back inside and do Fluid Power: Meditation. This is 26 mins of her various meditations sequences strung together. Not an active yoga session today. I'm looking forward to it, though. BTW, yes my glutes and hamstrings are tight this morning, from BG Leg Blast premix yesterday. The run should do them some good.
TraciX - No, no visitor this morning. Grrrrr. Let's hope I'm not pregnant, thank you very much!! I'd be very shocked if I were. More likely it's just my semi-irregular cycle being semi-irregular. Sorry you didn't get your tennis match in last night. Dang weather. Good idea on using the music-only option on the dvds. I accidently hit that feature once when using Fluid Power and thought, isn't this lovely. But then I had no clue what she was doing, so had to turn her voice on again.
TracyX - God, your DH needs someone to tie him up and force him to sit still for a while. Maybe if he'd just take some time to think and regain some perspective, he'd see that a good portion of his stress is of his own making. The way you describe him reminds me of how my children sometimes get themselves all wound up about something, and then it feeds off itself until they're out of control. I'm glad you're going to take the trip and get away from the stress. The kids deserve it, too. So, the Shakti handstands are easier than the Fluid Power ones? Good to know!
Anointed - I hope you're feeling better today!
Swift AmyX - nice to see you 2 days in a row! I replied to your post yesterday, near the end of yesterday's discussions.
Okay, bbl.
SandraX
Hello,
P90X I am really starting to like Shoulders & Arms the workout is very well put together, I think. I wasn’t able to complete ARX, I ran out of time, so tonight abs :)
When I got home yesterday I did a jack knife into my bed LOL, couldn't even take my bath. I was sleep around 8 but I kept waking up every 2 to 3 hours looking at my clock, however, it was a good night, time was moving slow. I was sick, like now. I need to be home me feeling so weakx(
I just taken another Tylenol I hated to do that it makes me high:p :p but the pain just shoots up in head its almost unbearable;( it is awful;( My throat starting to feel much better cant wait to get all the crap out of me it’s making me feel bad, ttyl
My Friend the Squirrel said hello:D :D :+
Good morning, crew!!!
Well, it looks like pretty much an upper body day across the board! Mine is going to be at the gym so I can get some assisted pull-up/dip in! I also like using the high cable weight machine to really get into the chest.
Traci- Sorry that the tennis was a bust! Oh, I forgot to let you know that the rotation that I sent you, all of it's based on 4 sets of 10 reps.
SwiftAmy- Great to hear about your ride. I used to ride a lot when I had trails to ride on north of Chicago. Here in Florida, at least where I live, there are no trails and no road shoulders and drivers tend to aim at you!
TG- I hope that your tooth/throat start shaping up! I'm glad that you've reconnected with Mr. Squirrel!
Sandra- Wow, you've got so much on your plate now! I hope that you like Coach Candace! I haven't tried her, but already know that I probably wouldn't do as well as with Coach Sean tickling my eardrums! He's got a yummy voice!!
Jeanette- I haven't ignored you, but I did forget to answer your question. DH has had a long history of insomnia since coming back from Desert Storm. He'll go several days with minimal sleep before truly passing out. I just get frustrated with him until that time!
Everyone else! I hope that you have a great day. I'm off to the gym!
ETA-
QOD- I found that it was cheaper to fly into Philly on the 9th, so I will head into Jersey that day, find a place to sleep and hopefully hit Cathe's gym Friday morning....she's due to teach a class that morning and I want to see if I can make it for that.
Good morning,
No time to post last night, had a nice bike ride with 2 girlfriends and then did some housework and to bed a bit earlier. This morning, we are having a new, beautiful garage door installed (remember when I couldn't open the old lousy thing and had to crawl in head first thru the tiny, high up bathroom window)? I also need to pick up some Forest Service road maps as DH wants to go camping this weekend. I probably won't get in to work until noon or so. Have a golf game on tap for tonite too. Anyways, I have a little extra time this morning to post!! Woohoo!!! Lots of posts from yesterday I see.
Today was KPC Cardio Conditioning premix, with KPC Stability Ball abs. Yep, I skipped the Legs & Glutes premix, but will do it tomorrow.
Tracy, I think this heat is just making me slower and want to not exert myself so much. No, I'm going to stay active as long as I can in some capacity or another. Sorry things are so bad with FIL. We got a phone call from DH's sister re: DH's mother. She lives down below but wants DH to go down and haul her trailer house up here. He may have to do that. I hate to say it, but she is one crazy woman. Been married 7 times, 6 kids with that many different fathers. DH in no way wants to be around her, but I hear her health is failing. Of course, it has been for the last 20 years. She's in her 70's but get this, she still wears little short shorts, halter tops, bleached blonde hair, always with a skinny cigarette and can of beer in one hand. She squandered all of her retirement funds away on her other no account kids and now wants someone to take care of her. No wonder DH wants to go camping this weekend. I wouldn't mind helping her, but she's been so irresponsible all of her life. So sorry about what you all are going thru with your DH. I'm glad you've decided to go on the trip anyway. No sense everyone being miserable.
Debra, you are smart to take a rest day. Sounds like you need it. Glad your DD is enjoying her art camp. How fun that would be!!! So you like the board games and such? I don't have much patience and find myself wanting to do something else. No way could I play a whole game of Monopoly when I was a kid. I sure wouldn't trade the freedom we had as kids for the lifestyle that kids have today. We were so free riding our bikes to other neighborhoods and places back in the 60's. I have good memories of that.
Swifty, way to go on tearing up that trail. I definitely need to get out my mtn. bike and do some trail riding. Riding in the high 90's is tough, even out here in the dry west. The grouting turned out really good, just need to seal the grout lines now. Do you have a full suspension mtn. bike? I'd like to ride one someday and see if that makes a difference with control on the rocks for me. Your arms look fantastic! Love the lean look!!! I have a cadence meter on my road bike and like to use it on my recovery days.
Cheryl, how was the cardio party with HeatherB? Is it Beloved Heather? She is such a special lady!!!
Anointed, has the squirrel come back? I sure hope so. How's the tooth today? I see that the pain is terrible, is the antibiotic not working? Big hug to you, hoping for some relief.
Sandra, the haircut is a little bit short, but highlights are nice. I can't do the levitation holds and don't even try. I think my arms are too short. PP 3X was what was called for on the rotation. It moves along pretty well. Nice using these premixes. Thanks for the encouragement on staying active as I get older. No, I haven't done any yoga lately. That would probably make me feel younger. I am looking forward to the golf game. DH really doesn't want to go tonite, but I think he may enjoy himself anyway. I told him he could bring his beverage of choice along. No hanky panky on the golf course, my golfing partner is almost 70, but has been a good friend for DH and I for the past 10 years. We go to the black powder shoots with he and his wife, love them both to death!!! Golfing partner is so laid back, his nickname at work before he retired was Lightning. Is AF still MIA? Hope it comes soon. I'm almost 49 now and showing no irregularities yet. Menopause can't be too far away for me. Maybe I'll just ease thru it without any discomfort at all. I've never done CC#6, but I've listened to it. Does that count?
Traci, yes, PP Upper Body 3X was actually one of the premixes in this rotation. The heat has been sapping me a bit more lately, especially riding bikes in it. That hill climb last week was an absolute killer, really makes my heart rate climb. So your DH is competitive? Mine is far from it. I'm hoping he'll try the golfing. It would be a fun thing to do with him I think. Sorry the tennis was cancelled.
Nicole, you are right, I avoided Legs & Glutes yesterday, avoided it today too, but will do it tomorrow. I just don't like to ride bikes on the same day I work my legs. Hey, no wonder I don't improve, I baby myself too much!
Amy, happy early birthday to you! The roses must be absolutely gorgeous! What a thoughtful brother you have. Glad your haircut is cute! Oh, that explains your DH's lack of sleep. Hope it gets better soon. Is the road trip next weekend? I need to look it up.
Got to run, may be able to get back on this morning before going to work later. It's not like I will have to help the garage door installer.
Jeanette
Morning Ladies,
Rotation: Cathe's July '07
Workout: Week 2/Day 5/MM Premix #3 Lower Body and Yoga (Probably something Bryan Kest)
I had forgotten how good Muscle Max was until yesterday! :D I did sub back exercises. Instead of doing the BB Rows I decided to use my band like I did in P90X. The one thing that I was so happy about was the fact that I did all the push-ups on my toes with no problem at all. In the past I was never able to do push-ups with Cathe, no matter how many times I had done a workout. A big THANK YOU TONY!
Sandra, Nope legs are pretty good today, but with MM lower body today they probably will have some more pain. DD stated getting her eyebrows waxed at about age 12. She suffers from the uni-brow just like me. Poor girl, actually both of my DD's have this problem. No CC for me yesterday, I did a steady state 4 mile run. I hope you have a good time with CC#6 Candice, one that I have yet to try. I think you are right on the endurance of CC #5. All I know is that when I start those workouts, the time seems to fly by and I'm running like the wind. Ya right! :7 :7 :7
Swifty, I serve underhand also in volleyball. Never was able to get the accuracy with an overhand serve. But I have perfected my underhand serve over the years to just skim over the top of the net, and then they drop on the other side. Playing with the wind does change how I have to serve sometimes. But it is always fun for me to play. :D
Tracy, All I can do is offer you words of support. This is a hard thing for your whole family to go through. Sounds like you all need the vacation, and enjoy it. Handstands, YIKES! Ok that is probably something that I will never do. :D :D You and Sandra are like crazy women! Oh Ya (before I forget) Absolute Kickboxing is a great DVD. It has the workout and three additional premixes. First the workout is described from yesterday. The first premix is an interval, she does a KB section then a Combat, repeat... Then the Core work. The next one is all KB and then the Core. The last is all Combat Drills and Core. The core work in this one is great!
Anointed, Glad to hear that your friendly squirrel came back to greet you again. Determined little thing! At our previous house we had black walnut trees, and it was a popular place for squirrels. They would sit out on our deck and tease our dog (who was inside the house)! :D Still remember the time I slowly opened the door and she shot out of the house and scared those teasers. She almost caught one! They would then just tease her from the picnic table that was in the lawn. :D :D Hope your pain starts to let up soon.
Traci, Ya, I'm really like a porn star! (Insert porn music here!) :7 :7 Great question for the road trippers, can't wait for tomorrows. Too bad about the rain out on the tennis match. Guess you don't want to be holding an aluminum tennis racket with lightening around. ZAP! ;-)
Debra, Did you have a good time with your friend yesterday?
Amy, Sounds like you are really going to be ready for whatever Cathe throws at you on the Road Trip. Now there is a QOD for Traci. :D
Jeanette, Oh how I wish the price you paid was what I have to pay! I had a 10% discount coupon for my B'day, but forgot it at home. I will be using that one for my appointment next week.
Nicole, I had to LOL at your post indicating that L&G was killing you. Are you walking straight this morning? That one is really tough.
Ok so sometimes working with a bunch of men isn't so great. My boss just came in and the guys must have put green marker on the inside band of his hard hat. Boss had a green stripe on his forehead. While funny, this just prooves to me that men are little children. And here he was meeting with vendors this morning. Now that is not funny! x(
Have a great day!
Laurie
CTX Upper completed and I am PUMPED! was able to really bring it today...ttom must be nearing its end- fast & furious this month!;-)
I so love the intensity of CTX- I can only imagine the new series will be even better- can anyone say 1 part per day CTX + New Series?}(
Off to run errands- suppose to rain all afternoon so I'll be on laundry duty- good to wait for rain for that large task.
TRACY:
Gosh I am going to just bite my tongue on DH situation. Its so hard I'm sure- he must be in alot of emotional pain & turmoil and taking it out on the people he loves the most... kinda like being a proverbial punching bag:( I think its good you and kids take some time away- maybe he'll process his emotions while alone. On a brighter note- how does one even begin to learn to do handstands? Seems VERY dangerous to me without a spotter. Should I just not worry about that segment since its a non-issue for me to say I can do it? I think I'm caving next week and going back to 1 part per day. I am thinking about using tony + cathe for each part and working them about 40 minutes. I just feel like I cant bring exhaustion to every single part when I do splits. Will take this weekend to think more about it.
Sandra:
Hope Candace was able to motivate as Sean does... I'm w/ amy tho- no desire to have anyone but that yummy man talking in my ear! LOL on baby3 - I think you need DS to make your little family more balanced-too much estrogen ya know;-)
TeddyGirl:
Glad you went to bed early- fighting off this nasty infection is taking its toll- Be extra careful lifting too! We dont want our gal on the IL (injured list) :*
Amy
COOL to see you this morning! What a fabulous plan to attend a live class with Cathe!!!!!!!! OMG I doubt anyone in the class will realize what an icon she is. Have fun with those pull ups! You must be gaining a TON of back strength too! Any little lat muscles peeking out at you? Your rotation looks KILLER and then ya tell me 4 sets? Oh dear girl are we going to have a new body builder competitor amongst us soon?
Jeanette:
Glad you got to come chat this morning! All set for golf I'm sure!LOL on LG Mix- Why is EVERYONE doing that w/o this week? I think my party invite got lost! HOORAY on the garage door- That will make life just oh so convenient. LOL- your description of your MIL had me ROFL! I wonder if that will be me in a few years (minus smokes & beer!) Have a FABULOUS DAY!!!
OK Xers - gotta get moving in a forward direction-
XXOO
:*
In for a quick hello! You ladies will be so proud of me since I have already done my workout for the day...a 40 minute bike ride. WooHoo! I will definitely be investing in a mirror for my helmet (thanks Jeanette). I was able to ride on off road trails in Illinois, but there are none of those here, so there I am pedalling on a country 2 lane road...with all of the critters...and cars are flying past me...and I kept forgetting which way was up and down on my gears...and all I could think about was Nicole's husband being stranded! But other than that, it was a great ride. There are lots of small hills here, which we also didn't have in Illinois...so it was definitely more challenging!
Okay...gotta go for now...I need to get my toenails done since it looks like a mini mule has been chewing on them!
Back later for personals!
Hi all,
Thanks for all of the words of encouragement about the situation with DH. This too will pass, but it is so miserable when you are in the midst of it.
I do handstands against the wall. Once I got the feel of actually getting my legs up, it wasn’t so bad. I’ll have to get a spotter to try them on my own.
Traci – You can’t work to failure with the split? Why is that any different than 1 BP per day? Maybe you should stick with it just for a change. I just find that it is more time efficient and allows for legs and cardio. Maybe you are not going heavy enough. By the end of my split on Wed. I was done. I always have to go lighter on the extra total upper day. It’s worked great for me. Yes, you can always skip the handstand segments or in Fluid Power, you really could just do the moves on the floor (that one is hard).
Laurie – I love MM. Haircuts and highlights here are ridiculous. Thanks for the info on K. Spreen, I think that I’ll get that one. Kids are doing all sorts of cosmetic stuff so much earlier these days. DS’s girlfriend gets her little sister’s eyebrows waxed and I think she is 4. I don't think people were that into the whole "look" thing when I was a kid, or maybe I was just oblivious to it.
Jeanette – I can just picture your MIL; skinny, bleached, hair, cigarette. I agree with you, I have trouble helping people who can’t help themselves. Having parents close or moving in is such a strain on everyone. I should go ride today, but this week is high 90s and 80% humidity. It is just brutal.
Amy – Will we see some pictures soon? Is a bodybuilding competition in the future?
Sandra – I think that I need to buy some CCs. I know that I don’t push myself hard enough with the cardio and that will force me too. Yes, DH is acting like a child. I just don’t deal well with children anymore
Off to go workout, then run some errands.
Tracy
Hi! Just checking back to let you know I did it! Woohoo! CC#6 (Candace) is done! And she sounds as great as Sean. Seriously. I didn't miss his velvet tones a bit. She's a great motivator.
For the 4th challenge, which was supposed to be 2 minutes level 3 hill, into 1 minute level 3 or 4 sprint, I did 2 minutes walking lunges, into 1 minute of however fast I could run with glutes that had nothing left to power them. It got the job done.
Afterwards I did Shiva's Fluid Power Meditation mix, which is 26 minutes. It was very nice and relaxing. I was looking through the booklet that comes with the dvd and noticed that Mandala Namaskar II is not actually included in any of her programs, although it's under the Hip Opening Flow in the matrix. Ergo, I've never done it, I love Mandala Namaskar I, it's only 10 mins long, and it promised to open my hips. So I tacked it on. Nice!!!
TraciX, I suggest you start with Mandala Namaskar II. It's a great introduction to the concept of the 360 degree circle. She moves slowly, there are only a few moves (so not complex), and they would all be familiar to you by now. Just a suggestion :)
Okay, bbl,
SandraX
Back again- trying to keep up with this group this week! Like Tony on speed around here:p
LaurieXX
WooHooooo GIRL! Thats aesome about the pushups! The thrills never stop around here! Isnt it crazy what we get so jazzed about?! LOL on QOD- I'm running out of them... tomorrow might be- What color undies are you taking? or how about- Will you be in ttom? :+ ROFL about the men in your office! Here's one for ya.... DH went out to his truck after a board meeting only to find one of the partners had slapped a bumper sticker on his truck... I LOVE gay porn..... MEN!
DebraX
WooHoo on the bike!!!! You are back girl! be careful on those open roads- ya remember how southerners think about bike people.... ROADKILL- 10 points!}(
TracyX
LOL on the handstands... think I'll stay grounded thank you very much! Here's what happens to me in splits (when i want to lift heavy) Lets say its Biceps/ Triceps- I start with Biceps because thats what I'm working on increasing mass.... I lift so heavy that when I go to do Triceps my arms are tired. Even tho the triceps arent themselves fatigued my arms are weak and often shaking from the bicep work. Thus- I cant use heavy weights at all. Does that make sense? When this happens I just feel like the 2nd part of the day is just going thru the motions as it never feels that worked. I dont know- I'll keep thinking about it. Thanks for giving me food for thought- I appreciate it:*
SandraX
So glad you loved Candace! Thats terrific- just more options!!!! Thanks for suggestion on Fluid... I will definitely need some guidance if her booklet doesnt tell ya where to start. The 10 minute Hip Opening sounds wonderful! i could tack that on several days a week!
OK- All caught up again- NO MORE COFFEE for this group! :+
Hey, gang! Wow, another busy morning!
Well, back from the gym and freshly showered. Just waiting for DH to finish getting dressed for his dr's appt
Traci- LOL on the bumper sticker....a couple of guys at work have a standing joke about a t-shirt they saw once, "I love midget porn!" Like you said, MEN!!!
Tracy- I am sorry that DH is being such a bear! I hope that he starts to see the forest for the trees soon!!
I don't know about bodybuilding competitor, but I would like to look like a figure competitor at one time! No new updated pics, though. I met a trainer at the gym this morning. She was trying SO hard to teach a client how to do squats and the lady just wasn't getting them!!! I felt bad for the trainer because you could tell that she was getting frustrated with the lady not doing what she instructed!
Okay, off to the appt.
Hi all,
I ended up doing Cardio Fusion as produced. Considering I haven't done more than 30 minutes straight of step in at least 5 months, it was difficult. When it suggested lowering the step to 6" for the last part, I was thrilled. I got through the entire thing without stopping, but there was some serious dread factor when the DM drills started.
Traci - I know what you are talking about with the split and doing all of each body part before moving to the next one. I think that there is some benefit to working tired muscles. Plus, if you do a split for more than one week, you have to change the bodyparts that you work together or at least the order. Another option is to superset the exercises, like Tony does, and Cathe is doing in the new stuff. That way the muscles get fatigued at the same rate. I think to maximize your results, you should change for 1 BP per day at least for a little while JMO.
Sandra - I love the Mandala Namaskar II and the prep sequence before that. It's 23 or 24 minutes, but so nice. It really opens my hips, so I surpised that it is not on the hip opening sequence. I hadn't noticed that it isn't on any of the premixes. I usually use the matrix. I'm changing jobs this fall. My other job was actually boring, the new one won't be. I'd much rather be busy.
Nicole - I hope the workout works out good for you. I'm trying to use SS/PP more often, they really are good workouts.
Annointed - Glad you are feeling better. Do you have a date to have the teeth removed? You'll probably feel alot better after that.
Debra - The DVD was sent today.
