Xers........Workout Wednesday............

My goodness you ladies are chatty this morning!

All is going well with the eating. And yes, Traci is right when it's 80% of the game!!!

Today is a gym day, but I don't know if I am going to get there...just not feeling like leaving the house!

Traci- LOL on the skull crushers...I've been doing them once a week with a #30 barbell and have really seen my tricep definition starting! I have also been doing decline, close grip BB presses and that helps too!

Not much else to say....nothing going on here....and honestly, I like it like that! I didn't get the lawn mowed, but I still have the rest of today and tomorrow to get to it....;-)

I'll try to catchup after reading 2 days worth of posts.

Nicole, how are you doing? Chiro help is on the way -hope you are feeling much better today. Flag football games are twice a week? It will be fun to watch your little guy run around in a cute little uniform. DD won't go near an organized sport. Fine with me, no taxing yet:p Take care of yourself girl.

Carol, how is the Oct rotation? Slow and Heavy is a super great wo. I miss it, it helped get me ready for the x. Keep it up -You'll be ready for the x rotation in Jan no problem!;-) Whew! nice drive into the city huh? I hate rush hour trafficx( Keep lifting heavy!

Sandrax, your wo post for the week is exceptionally interesting! I want the CTX series now:p I have kickbox and power circuit only, got them on video sale. Would love to see your SH and BB T/S rotation. Get that elbow looked at;-) Have to get on and see the new cake. Yep, color out of the box. Goodness knows the stylists around here don't have 7AM clients. I love the time and cost savings. Cheers!

Debrax, ((((((hugs))))) on the upcoming visit from YKW (you know who). ;) You are doing so well, filling your day with things for you and DD. It's the only way to get through I'm afraid. Do you mind me asking, what kind of profession is the XDH into? I can only picture in my head a russian spy of sorts. Ha! Love your relaxed wo schedule. You deserve it:7 Just think, you can fall into a virgin bed tonight. Ahhhhhh. Rest peacefully and sweet dreams are in your future.

Lauriex, thanks for the post on Alan Finger. I'll check it out. ROFL with your slip of the tongue at camp.

Cherylx, your business travel Tue was fantastic! Wow!:p on the healthy snack and drink and wo. When I read your posts I picture/compare you to a 2007 version of Mary Tyler Moore. I loved that show growing up. :7 As a girl I dreamed of moving to Minnesota and getting a cool career. I think you're talented, cool and prettier than MTM ever! I wonder if she wore shiny spandex wo gear and worked out to Jane Fonda? Have a safe trip home.

Tracix, sit down and take a rest. Watch the man install the machine! I have a front loader (water economizer) and I love it for big items. Following your "machine episode" I was paranoid about leaving the machine running while I was out hanging laundry. It's all done now and no leakage. Hot water heater broke once and the water ran through the floor into the garage on New Years eve 2005. Ran to the HD before they closed and installed a new one that night. Happy New Year!:+ Agree with you on the casual face with dressy clothes. I can't wear mascara it gives me raccoon eyes -no matter what kind I try. I like the natural look. And who cares when they are all looking at our well toned body!}(

Wendyx, rest and relax your stuffy head and achey body. Now I know why I don't have any casual gf's - it's too difficult to get the to do list checked off. ROFL at Phil picking up the phone call.:p DH rarely leaves town. This month he leaves 2x. I love the feeling of having the mattress to myself, but admit it seems a bit empty at first. You need a warning light on the car dash when emergency brake is left on - I need one for the dome light. Have left the van domes on 3x in last 6 months. Battery went completely dead and without a ride for 1 day while it charges.

TG, mmmm cornbread, love it! Never tried it late at night. Good luck at the dentist. Is this a followup to all that pain you went through last month? You are so strong. 80 on the toes, WTG! :7

Amy, nice job on keeping the #'s off. I'm afraid to step on the scale. I eat fairly clean but the portion size is XXXXXL. Yikes! Got my lawn mowed Sun. The hot summer killed some patches. Living in FL and you have grass? I thought all yards were sand down there:D We're fertilizing on Sun. which will make it grow. Hmmm. What's wrong with this picture?;(

Netta, have fun tonight with DH. I'd do anything for a generator. A neighbor told me she tests her each month, do you? Power goes out here often. I dread it. x( I'm such a baby when I can't do what I want like see in the dark.:p

Tracy, you are one fit and fine lady! Keep it up! I want to go run today, but I'm afraid. Only because I don't own running shoes. Did you decide on a new pair?

Lea, hi! Enjoy your leg wo today!:)

Hello to anyone I may have missed. I know I missed someone sorry.

Ta Ta and Adios!:+

Well I managed to finish without incident:D My DH was not happy I was going to workout today. I don't have constant pain though so I felt ok to do it. It almost feels like something is compressed back ther in a funny way so I'm praying it's just a pinched nerve, thus the numbness in my right leg occasionally.

TracyX, I hope work doesn't due you in today. It's never fun to have potentially bad meetings on the schedule. At least you got some of your aggression out with a good leg workout this morning. I have Step Blast on the rotation next week, love that one! Hope your day goes better than planned:) Are you all adjusted to life with your FIL? Has DH lightened up a bit or just surrendered to the idea?

Traci-X, Thanks for the concern:) I know I am playing Russian Roulette with my back but I am so afraid of missing a workout. The last one I missed was 5 years ago when this same thing happened. DH tells me to get a clue and take a break but it's so hard for me to do. It is the one constant thing I can control in my life so I do, to my detriment:( And so goes the psychology of Nicole;) A run and stretch sounds nice! I almost did yoga this morning but I have a hard time doing sun salutations. Maybe next week I'll take a break and do some SM and yoga or...gasp...nothing!

Anointed, So glad you're getting goos sleep without pills. Ted is a much better alternative I'm sure;) I hope the dentist is an easier trip than the last round of dental nightmares}(

DebraX, Yeah! A new mattress:) It will be so good for you to get a comfortable night sleep. Anything fun planned before XDH arrives? I vote for hours of yoga and massages then farmer's markets and fall shows until his arrival:D What does DD think about his coming home? Will he be gone again for a long time? Way to go on the thigh shrinkage! ^5 !! I need some of that. I have gained 2 inches in my waist since April and I am not too happy about it. DH says he likes me better at the size I am now, so I should just be happy I guess:p

LaurieXX, I think we are all teetering on the edge of a recovery week:) I know I need one and with all my family coming into town I just may:) My DB is getting married and it will be the first time all 7 of us kids have been together at the same time in two years. We are quite a loud bunch when we're together:) CS is a goodie and tough at the same time}( How's Cameron adjusting? DH still walking his weight right off?:p

Carol, B&G Leg Blast Premix is tough! I usually avoid B&G and I know because it works me. Glad your body is adjusting to fasted workouts. I read an article about it once and I think it's 6 of one 1/2 a dozen of the other when it comes to a small snack beforehand or nothing. I eat two peanut butter protein balls before I workout and it gives me more energy to put into the workout. How is school going? I have to take my DS to the ortho today and I always think of my partner in crime, you:)

JeanetteX, Oh, no bike ride? What a nice wife you are:) I bet a bunch of college guys had something to say about your pink clubs:) Are they feeling better than your other ones? Glad your power was back on today. I wonder what made it go out. I hope you get out on your bike soon to enjoy the outdoors before it's cold again.

SwiftyX, So happy you are back and raring to go! Those big bruises take a bit to heal, ask Debra:p So much accomplished and so early, way to go! Enjoy the time with your Yellowstone friend. She's the one you met when you worked up there, right? I am so looking forward to going back next year. You snuck in on me. Thanks for the healing back wishes:) Today the chiro will fix it, I pray!

SandraX, My back is a little better but not much. I'm hoping that the chiro can adjust it enough to get the nerve unpinched. I may take a total recovery week next week because I haven't had one in 5 years. I am a little OCD in that area. I was so hoping it was fall baking time and now it's warm again:( I have my Laurel's Kitchen bread book out and ready to go. Now I just need cooler weather. Sounds like you had a great time in Jasper! Glad you could get outdoors while the weather is still ok:)

LeaX, Thanks for the {{HUGS}}! Chiro will make all things better today:) Great job on the workout! You are so good being active with your boys that you get your cardio in, that's for sure! You know, my boys would love to go to Legoland and I have yet to take them. It's only an our away but both of there b-days are in the winter so we don't go. Of course our winters are pretty mild but walking around in the rain is not my idea of fun. Maybe we'll go one day:)

WendyX, I sure hope your car is fixed by tomorrow. What a drag to be carless. I would be in big trouble if I didn't have mine. {{{HUGS}}} Sorry your cold isn't any better:( I am starting to have drainage too. Not the outside kind but the back of the throat kind}( Chiro will fix all my worries today, I pray. Maybe next week I'll take it easy but this week is slotted for CTX and there will be no diverting from said plan:) Oh, I recorded a show on food tv last now about Thailand and I am going to watch it later. I am now intrigued by all things Thai;)

Off to lunch with BFF. I hope it's better than last time. She has such huge walls up that it's hard to get through them:(

Hi all,

Well, my meeting went sour at one point and dad did the FU sign and looked straight at me, then said your silence is duly noted. I'm not sure if he was directing the body language to me or the group. These are very angry parents who have a child with an IQ below 40, who runs from staff and masturbates in school.

Anyway I'm just vegging out until I go and workout.

Nicole - I hope that the chiro fixes you, but rest might be helpful too. DH has FIL all next weekend. He hasn't had a free weekend in weeks. It's getting old.

Traci - I would never pick up for the repair guy! I'm always more hungry when I lift than do cardio. I think that subconsciously I don't want to gain weight either. Pain kills my appetite too.

Annointed - Strength for push ups builds pretty quickly and so does definition. I enjoy LM. It is really good if you add in a few squats and lunges with weight. I hope the dentist goes OK.

Lea - Glad you got your workout in today. I think that it is smart to build some strength before starting the x again.

Sandra - Your rotation looks good. I will have to keep that in mind. I can't build any more upper body right now; I have enough. That rotation should build some good strength and definition. An avalance over a frozen lake sounds so spectaculr. We love to hike up to high altitide lakes; they are absolutely beautiful. I'll have to upload one of our pictures.

Wendy - I hope that you feel better soon. I used saline to wash my sinus once and ended up getting worse instead of better. I hope the netti pot works. Yes, I can grab my hand when I do twists; sitting and in lunge. It took a while though.

Swifty - I am in running shoe limbo. I wouldn't run without good shoes. The ones I ordered are on back order. I guess I'll go and buy some.

Debra - Enjoy your yoga class.

Jeanette - I am careful with my elbow too. Too many fast reps really irritates it.

Laurie- I really believe weight loss is about food. Exercise helps, but food is the real key.

Later guys,

Tracy

Aren't you ladies chatty today!!! Back to say hello and catch up a bit. I had a great time at my yoga class. Things are starting to move a bit faster which is good...and today he had us stand against the wall to practice some of the standing poses and it really made a difference in my posture. He adjusted me a couple of times with other poses and I could really feel the muscles work much harder. I just love this instructor...with his background he is sooooo knowledgeable about they way your muscles work...I am really learning a lot. I got some great stretching too.

I have to just say that my MIL just called, and I didn't answer the phone...does that make me a bad person??

Then after yoga, I came home and did the rest of RS that I didn't finish the other day...at least I got it done this week! I am not sure what I am going to do tomorrow. Maybe Squeeze or Pilates since I just did cardio today.

My mattress is here and very happy in it's new home. I am still washing linens right now so that I have a nice clean "virgin" bed to get into tonight...who said that, anyway? Attorney visit went well...now I just have to tell XDH that I have seen her.

Okay...onto personals....

Laurie...Are you really missing Dreya that much that you need to do Core Syn...LOL! Recovery week is a good thing, though...I start mine tomorrow...although I have no plans for CS!

Carol...I love/hate BG...it does the job, though doesn't it? I always sub SH legs too...I do it once during my SH rotation, but then I am pretty bored with it. I really enjoy lifting heavy...but heading for a break for a week or so.

Jeanette...What is up with your power? It does seem to go out pretty frequently. That would drive me nuts! Don't know exactly why I have seen the loss in my thighs...it certainly hasn't been from eating clean...LOL! I did try to do legs a couple of days a week this month...but mostly I just split up floor work and standing and just did that on separate days. I have definitely upped my yoga, too, which may have something to do with it.

Traci....Thanks for the tri link...I actually noticed mine flapping at yoga today...BLECH! Hope you didn't see too much of your repairman's buttocks today...and hopefully he showed!

Okay...gotta run for a minute...back in a sec to finish...

Debra

Okay...back again!

Sandra...Good to see you today!! I am sure you enjoyed Power Circuit today...I always like that one. Maybe you could tell my XDH that I have seen an attorney...He is still thinks he can manipulate me into getting back together...even though I have explained dozens of times that this is not going to happen...But I am afraid he is going to get nasty when I tell him about the attorney...so maybe you could take a little verbal abuse for a fellow Xer...LOL! Just kidding..I wouldn't wish the tirade I am going to get on anyone. Your core is going to be FABULOUS after this rotation!

Lea...Hello, you sweet woman! You picked a toughie for a workout today! I bet you are stronger then you think. And isn't the X supposed to improve your strength anyway? JK...I would never press the X on anyone!

Wendy...I tell you what...my yoga guy today got my hip flexors better than they have ever been gotten before! Glad you enjoyed Eion...I think he is my first love...LOL! My XDH actually had a similar problem with his brother...like your sis....only he borrowed the $ from us and never paid it back...It's been about 4 years now. It has actually caused a lot of problems between them. The old mattress was given to a friend who needed it. XDH will have to find another when he comes back to the States, I guess. Hope the cold is really getting better.

Amy...Hope you are having a nice few days off...and the nice thing about the grass is that it will still be there when you get to it!

Okay...gotta run again...if I don't get back tonight...I'll see you all in the morning!

Hey girls,

Just wanted to update you about the chiro visit. All went well and he said it is probably my sciatic nerve, which I hate to even say out loud. I have always associated that with large, lazy women who use it as an excuse to be inactive. When I worked at Jenny Craig I knew quite a few women who used this very excuse. He told me my right hip is a bit less flexible than my left and that may be why it's pulling and making my leg go numb. I will go again on Friday and get it adjusted again. It is still sore from today's adjustment .

On a sad note I went by my M&FIL's to see my DH grandma and she is not doing well. We just found out she had cancer a month ago and she came to live with them a week ago. Her cancer is really having it's way with her. I was really trying not to cry while there but lost it when I came home. She is the sweetest most affectionate woman and has been such a light in my life for the past twelve years. She asked me for a kiss and hug today and said how much she loved me. It was so special. Her Alzheimer's is in & out so she has brief glimpses of reality and I was so glad I was there for one of them.

The nurses told us she has the death rattle in her chest and it may be only a week more. It was an accident that my in-laws even found out she had cancer so to find out and see her go so quickly is hard for us all. I pray that she goes in as little pain as possible. She is such a dear and so full of love for her family.

Good evening,
Not a lot of time for personals right now. DH and I had a nice time with our friends. The friend had shoulder surgery for a large rotator cuff tear (horse accident, he's a cowboy for a living) on Friday. He's doing well and didn't seem to be in much pain.

Traci, of course I was showing off for the youngsters at golf. They were lots of fun to golf with and were pretty complimentary of my marginal golfing skills. Wonderful that Wendell loved his boat trip. Is he going again this weekend? I've heard that elbows take a while to heal. Well, with winter coming on, I'm sure I'll be irritating my elbow less with the golfing action. I wore my tendonitis brace last night and I think it's a winner. How's the washing machine? Hope it got fixed today.

Nicole, what did the chiro say about your back? You silly girl, you really need to rest it as it doesn't sound good at all. My new clubs do feel better. They have graphite shafts so when I get a mishit, they don't rattle my hands hard like the other clubs that I had borrowed (steel shafts). I think I will really like them a lot and pink will eventually not even be an issue. What is Laurel's Kitchen?

Swifty, you have energy for days!!! I've got a couple loads of washing to do, they'll just have to wait until tomorrow. I was lucky to fold the ones out in the hall that have been there since yesterday morning. Power was out last night so that was my excuse. You made me nod my head about leaving the dome light on. Have been there and done that, running down the battery before. Sometimes I just blame it on the dog hitting her head on top of the ceiling of the car. No, haven't tested the generator, but we did use it a couple weeks ago. Starts nice, it's a Honda, one of those quiet ones.

Anointed, WOW, 106 years old. You must have good genes in your family!!! Grandma has always liked to look good. Her SIL (my father) used to call her a "preening peacock", but not to her face of course. At 93, she doesn't care so much about wearing clean clothes everyday, you have to remind her to take a shower, guess you just get tired. She still looks beautiful for her age. Think I have a picture of her in my Picture Trail under Family Pictures.

Sandra, glad you had a great time at Jasper. I'd sure like to hike more, but I get lazy and want to ride around in the Rhino instead. Do you have any cakes to decorate this weekend? I absolutely loved looking at your cake pictures! Yep, a pink golf bag. Not me, but it was with a set that was a good price. I'm just going to deal with it. Yes, power out again, why, I don't know, but it caused a fire too. Something about the lines crossing or sparking or something. Yeah, we are pretty isolated up here. The big fire finally got put out, but it took about 3 weeks. It is devestated there for 100 square miles. They say it was so hot, the ground is sterilized. Others say it looks like the surface of the moon. So tragic.

Lea, I can't hardly stand for a workout to last longer than 60 minutes. I'm just funny that way. What do you do for your elbow? There is a lady on the Hardcore thread that has an elbow problem that comes back again and again. Mine feels better tonite, though I have golf again tomorrow. I missed not riding my bike today, but it was really windy this afternoon, wouldn't have been pleasant. I hope to get to ride Friday but they are expecting rain/snow on Friday so that may be out too. Sunday looks like the day. I do pack a lot in a day sometimes, other times, I just ride the couch. Of course, my house can be a mess a lot of the time due to lopsided priorities. Good thing DH is so easy going about stuff like that.

Wendy, hope you got the car back and can hit those spots that you never had to go to before. Grandma still spends lots of time putting on her makeup. She does look great for 93. I've never known her to have a hair out of place, or not have a little lipstick on. Maybe she doesn't want to have dentures like you say. Might work against her chewing. How is your cold? Do you need to see a doctor? I hate colds, I really, really do. I wonder where in the world does all that mucous come from? That situation with your sister sounds difficult. Hope it won't be a drag on your trip. I love the generator for plugging in my electric coffee pot during an outage. A girl can't go without you know.

Tracy, what a difficult meeting that must have been. What a drain. I can't imagine how difficult it is to have a child with special needs. Difficult for all parties involved. Hope you can relax tonite and have a nice rest of evening.

Debra, sounds like the yoga class is really good for you. Bet you are in your new mattress right now and sleeping like a baby. I'd love some thigh loss. Think I had the same size when I was in 2nd grade, I swear. I think they are like country music, here to stay. I'm doing lots of unweighted or light squats with Slim Series and Jari Loves.

Got to do some more reading, hope everyone has a good night's sleep.

Jeanette

Nicole, big ((((((HUGS)))))) to you right now. I'm so sorry about your Grandma. I will pray that she doesn't suffer. Hope you can spend some more time with her in the time that she has left. Bet you are a joy to her. How long will the sciatic be a problem? Any exercises that you can do to help it out?

Take care my friend,

Jeanette
