Xers ===Wink 'n Blink Wednesday

Okay...I'm back to talk about me again...I have been making a list of pros and cons in my head lately of being without a spouse or a significant other...and I just felt like sharing...Feel free to add you own thoughts to this.

Let me add, that I am listing things that just pertain to me and my past marriage....I am sure a lot of you would have other things that you would miss...but keep in mind my XDH has been very career driven (read...away) for a lot of our marriage...

cons...
no one to take out the trash
no one to help with DD's homework
no one to help with any sort of discipline with DD
no one to help with DD on a daily basis
no one to help take the cars to get repaired
no one to cuddle with when you are having a bad day
no one to kiss goodnight (besides DD)
no one to help with the yard work
no one to share those stupid stories that no one else would care about
no one to rub your back or feet
no one to share all of that past history with
no one to cook for (which leads me not to cook often)
no one to share the little triumphs of DD
no one to wake up next to
no one to watch movies with
no one to drive sometimes
no guaranteed date on national holidays
being responsible for EVERYTHING

pros....
no one to keep you awake snoring
no one to clean up after (besides DD and pets)
no one to complain when I wear my sweats all day
no one to cook for EVERY night (I want to cook some...just not all the time!)
no one to complain if the house is dirty
no one to do errands for
no one to take away the remote control
not having to watch sports if I don't want to
no one to complain that I have too many "doo dads"
not having to say no when you have a "headache"
no extra gross smells in the bathroom
a complete lack of arguments (excluding arguing with DD, of course)
no mind reading required
no dirty looks if I eat something I really shouldn't
no one to make comments about my driving

I think that is it for now...Just wanted to get all of that out...Comment as you want, ladies! I'm sure I will think of others later...Thanks for listening!

The clothes hanging on the shower curtain rod are still NOT dry! And, since I can't let those clothes wet with permethrin touch my delicate skin, I can't move them elsewhere to dry. And, since it's the only FULL bathroom in the house, I can't take a shower. And, since I can't take a shower, I'm NOT going to get stinky and sweaty before bed.}( That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :p :D

The PRO (Debra) is that I have time to do personals before bed.:)

Debra-X: What's up with this pro/con list? Why go there? If I had done a pro/con list for say, children, I might be childless!!!! Same goes for my dh and dog!}( If you love them or, in your case, him, you put up with the cons. My pro/con list would look different. But, I have to say if Phil ever thought about giving me dirty looks if I ate something I shouldn't, I'd better be eating dog poop or something he cooked at the time. Otherwise, that's just wrong on so many levels!!!! Kinda of like telling me I'm fat or need to lose weight. However, just to show you what a hypocrite I am, I think it's entirely fine, even noble, for a wife to give her dh dirty looks if her dh is eating junk food. LOL Because, a wife is culturally expected to watch over her husband's health. :) I'm glad that you had a good time with CB. It's hard to not get too emotionally attached to a guy. It's easier to dump them when you can spot the red flags early in the relationship. I forget how many transitional guys I dumped after I separated from XDH. Heck, I even told Phil off on the phone after our first date and hung up on him fully expecting to never hear from him again. He said something innocent enough, but offensive to me personally. But, he's a persistent one. Called me back and apologized for being an a$$. He was so humble that I gave him a second chance. I'm weak. I know!:+ Um, I can't speak for ALL churches. In the Bible believing church I attended, VBS was more evangelistic focused than fellowship focused. LOL about your mom being over protective. My parents were too. But, they just ooo'd and aaaa'd over Phil. By the time we married, I couldn't complain about dh to them. They would automatically take his side!!!! That's just wrong even if they're right!:+ Dh and the other swans will be painting their faces blue, donning plaid skirts and shouting "FREEDOM" the moment the plane takes off the tarmac!!!! Does that answer your question?:+ :7

TG: I know you're busy with all the planning and cooking. But, could you send me an airmail package of leftovers. See, I'm not crashing dinner. Just asking for some scraps!:+ Don't make me beg. Okay. I'll go shoe shopping with you!LOL

Traci-X: What?!?!?! I happen to LOVE Core Synergistic!!!! You've gotta do Dreya Rolls with me! Come on!!!! Okay. Fine. Do ARX every day and you can skip CS.:p Yes! I seriously didn't realize I wasn't leaving on Thanksgiving until my sister told me a few days ago. I was thoroughly crushed when I realized she was right. My PC can hold a 2.5 hour charge. So, I'll probably compose a post for my blog in real time to avoid any violent outbursts.

Carol: Don't listen to Traci! I ate and ate and ate during the X. Okay, so I didn't see a huge difference until I stopped eating. But, I didn't gain any weight either.:7 :7 :7 I leave around 9:30 on the 22nd and arrive in Bangkok at 12:05AM on the 24th. I think it's like 23 or 24 hours in the air. I'll have to look at my plane ticket.

Nicole-X: What?!!?!?!?!? Why? Oh Why are you all doing Lean Rotations? I doubt y'all will be able to talk me into a lean rotation!!! Go ahead. TRY! You and dh are still in the Honeymoon period? How long was he gone? And did he return while you were PMS'ing it? I calculate Phil will be fine for ONE day after I return before PMS hits. Then the honeymoon will be OVER! Oh, I'll probably be sleeping the day I return due to jet lag. So, the honeymoon will be over before it can start! Poor guy. He just can't win. Nicole, you guys act as if I'll be in another country without computer access! I'll have my laptop. I might not be able to chat all the time, but, I'll be sure to read the drama here at least once a week! :)

Sandra-X: I don't know why you question our sanity. I saw what you did today! Girl! I would rather pick ANY X workout over what you did today!!!! Can you still move? Have you talked to your parents yet? Do you know where your parents are?

Amy-X: You are such a morning bird! Let's see. It's almost 9:30. I didn't workout. I didn't make dinner. (Phil did.) I did ONE load of laundry. (with Phil's help... he put the clothes in the dryer.) And, I still have to load the dishwasher. (Where's Phil!!!!) Time for me (Phil) to get busy.:7

LaurieXX: I'm so happy you are joining us for your threesome X rating! Will you be taking pictures this time????? Nicole and I will be on you. Be prepared!:p :7 Enjoy the new furniture before Cami does! Does she know she's not allowed on the furniture?

Jeanette-X: I don't care what Debra says or you either!:p I'm still the LAZIEST Xer! I'll be using bands. Do you realize how easy it is to cheat with bands?:7 ;) I'll be surprised if I push myself to get DOMS!!!! What! Nicole had me when she went through it. Remember, my extended recovery week and extra day off each week!:7

Well Ladies, it's getting late. I've got a dog keeping my spot warm. Time to kick her out of it!:+

Sweet Dreams to ALL!

Evening,
Just finished watching Ratatouille, cute movie! Anyone else have problems with the Netflix DVD's freezing? I have to clean my DVD player every time before watching and clean the DVD's up good, otherwise they stick, freeze, stutter. Almost makes me want to quit Netflix.

Very, very busy day at work today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Got a lot accomplished.

Laurie, can't wait to hear the results of your LGI8 rotation. Did you take pictures beforehand? So glad you are doing P90X with us. What kind of furniture did you get? Did you get lamps too? My inner thigh is some better this morning, thank goodness! What an odd kind of sensation too. Not just sore muscles, but a crampy, charlie horse type feeling. On my century bike rides, I've gotten cramps in just that exact spot. Feels similar. Other animals want to get Tillie because she's a weinie dog maybe? So you have bands for doing your backwork in the X? I have the Bowflex for lat pulldowns. I never attempted even one chin or pullup the whole time. What a lazy Xer. I did a regular rotation last time so want to see if a Lean rotation gives different results, though I'm thinking that clean eating is the key.

Swifty, glad you got to enjoy the scenery of your DH mowing shirtless. My DH has a paunch so shirtless is not so enjoyable for me to see, but doesn't bother him in the least. Guys are so funny about that. They will lovingly rub a big gut. Kind of like they are so proud of what they grew. Has your DH ever done any of the Cardio Coach workouts on his bike? Bet he knows all about Spinervals too. I thought about you today and wrote myself a note to take the fish home. I did, cooked it up, and it was good. There are leftovers so maybe I'll have some for lunch tomorrow. Bet the lasagne was good. I haven't made that dish in years and years, unless you count Stouffers.

Anointed, your Thanksgiving meal sounds wonderful! I'm waiting for my sister to plan the menu and tell me what I need to bring. Wish she would hurry. Part of the fun of Thanksgiving for me is thinking about the food ahead of time. Hope the back is feeling better. Wish I could have you find me some golf shoes. I need to get to Reno to look for some. I've never had sweet potato pie, but anything with sweet taters is good in my book.

Sandra, good workout for you today. My rotation calls for Imax2 tomorrow, but I think I'll do the LIS/HIS step workout. Maybe I'll nail that 3rd combo in HIS like you did. I'm definitely doing the X this time with some variation (Cathe, Tracey) to keep me happy.

Nicole, your new Meez really makes me happy! That scene looks so inviting, a nice fire and a book on the couch. Heaven! I know just what you mean about being tired from not pushing enough. The laziest Xer is known for that big time. Enjoy that nice stage with your DH. How long have you guys been married? LOL about the gear. I remember when I started horses, it was first the horse. Then I needed a new saddle. Then a horse trailer. Then the truck wasn't powerful enough to pull the trailer, so a new truck. More lessons, competitions. On and on. Wendy tried to tell me, she did. But no, I didn't listen. Tennis shoes were going to be good enough for a little beginner like me. Now I've GOT to have golf shoes. I did see a picture in our local paper today of the ladies golf club here in town. They all look like they are 60 years on up. Hmmmmm...maybe I'm starting this a little young. Yep, Traci talked me into doing the X again. I feel like we are all a team now, we've been talking on here so long, it's going to be even more motivating to read all the posts. I'm thinking it's going to be something special and fun! I love Thanksgiving too. Are you cooking for your family, or going somewhere else? How was the chiro today? Is your back getting better?

Traci, I'm thinking the thigh muscle pull is lower than the groin. It's much better today, was pretty darned sore last night. I took a nice walk today during work hours and really stretched it out. Don't know what to tell you about Sculpt Sweatfest as I don't have it. You are one enabling gal for sure. A regular pied piper!

Wendy, glad you got to talk to your DS. Bet he misses you! Will he get to come home for Thanksgiving? Any weight loss for me starts at my ears, then face and neck and might make it down to my thighs. Might. LOL, I do remember your extended P90X. Did seem to take a bit longer than most of the rest of us, though I think you took apart a piano and were in the middle of various projects. By the way, I've never seen pictures of your kitchen. Do you have some? I'd really, really, really love to see!!!

Debra, so happy you had a good time hiking today. Did you take any pictures? We would love to see what CB looks like too. You are smart to tell yourself not to get too serious. Lots of fish in the sea, but I never was good at dating more than one guy at a time. You and I like the floor work, huh? I always give up the standing stuff so I can lay down. Anything laying down is good for me, except pushups. Nice that your dog will take pills easily. Tillie is very tough to fool. She's such a suspicious sort. Yep, I defected (thanks to Traci), so why not join us? Come on, you know you want to be a part of this craziness! Even if you modify it'll still be good! I'm not a huge lover of cardio, but mostly I have gotten where I don't like much jarring like those nasty tuck jumps. Hate those. They make me grumpy. Really, though, my left foot starts to bother me after over 40 minutes or so. A numb feeling in the sole of it.

I'm getting sleepy, got to hit the hay.
