Okay...I'm back to talk about me again...I have been making a list of pros and cons in my head lately of being without a spouse or a significant other...and I just felt like sharing...Feel free to add you own thoughts to this.
Let me add, that I am listing things that just pertain to me and my past marriage....I am sure a lot of you would have other things that you would miss...but keep in mind my XDH has been very career driven (read...away) for a lot of our marriage...
cons...
no one to take out the trash
no one to help with DD's homework
no one to help with any sort of discipline with DD
no one to help with DD on a daily basis
no one to help take the cars to get repaired
no one to cuddle with when you are having a bad day
no one to kiss goodnight (besides DD)
no one to help with the yard work
no one to share those stupid stories that no one else would care about
no one to rub your back or feet
no one to share all of that past history with
no one to cook for (which leads me not to cook often)
no one to share the little triumphs of DD
no one to wake up next to
no one to watch movies with
no one to drive sometimes
no guaranteed date on national holidays
being responsible for EVERYTHING
pros....
no one to keep you awake snoring
no one to clean up after (besides DD and pets)
no one to complain when I wear my sweats all day
no one to cook for EVERY night (I want to cook some...just not all the time!)
no one to complain if the house is dirty
no one to do errands for
no one to take away the remote control
not having to watch sports if I don't want to
no one to complain that I have too many "doo dads"
not having to say no when you have a "headache"
no extra gross smells in the bathroom
a complete lack of arguments (excluding arguing with DD, of course)
no mind reading required
no dirty looks if I eat something I really shouldn't
no one to make comments about my driving
I think that is it for now...Just wanted to get all of that out...Comment as you want, ladies! I'm sure I will think of others later...Thanks for listening!
