Morning Xers,

I'm taking a rest day today. I have to get some cleaning and baking done. Youngest DD and I will be heading out to watch oldest run in the sectional meet. Oldest is very excited and wants to go to the state meet. :D They have to be one of the top two teams in the sectional meet in order to go to state.

Debra, I'm surprised that you are starting this thread this morning also. :D Would have been even funnier if it have been me. :D So sorry to here about your day yesterday.

Swifty, Those bicycles in ARX are tough for me anyway. Don't need to add sore quads to the mix. I will have to remember not to do Imax3 and then ARX. :D

TG, When we where at the theater last week "Why Did I Get Married" was still playing in the theater. Seemed that everyone was going in to watch that movie.

Tracy, WOW on the rain. :D I'm guessing that you need more rain than that where you are? We have been getting plenty, and then you can add the cold to it too. :) I was also happy to see that the legs didn't involve any floorwork. So now I have another workout besides Leaner Legs that I will like to do. :D

Nicole, You just take care of yourself, and those workouts will be there when you are able to do them. Hey! you are more than exercise. Just look at your family, friends and your on-line buddies. :D This injury will pass quickly. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}.

Wendy, LOL about BBC. Oh I hear ya on the boobs!!! Makes me feel like I have an even flatter chest than I do. I have the music off option, because I can't stand it after a while. I usually don't mind to many things about certain workouts. I think the weight work in these are good. I have gotten to the point that I don't look at my TV, and just listen to what is going on. I'm sure someone will want those DVD's.

Traci, So your night of sleeping without the snoring must have been great. You or Tracy are the ones that usually start these posts. :D

DH and oldest DD just left for the school to catch that bus. Now my youngest is running around the house shouting hurray! :7 :7 Guess she is happy it will be just the two of us in the house for a while. DH is heading out to do a little paintball fun this afternoon. Guess that leaves me to clean this house. x( See how happy I am.

Have to say I'm glad DH got a new keyboard for this computer here at home. I can type really fast on this one. :D :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi all,

Today is some upper body and a little cardio, probably and some yoga. I think I'll do a 2 day split with the new workouts.

Traci - How was the HIS and chest and back? You are on your own this weekend aren't you. I must admit I do enjoy some time to myself.

Wendy - I hope that the flooding has cleaned up before you go. Are you going to a rural area?

Debra - No fun plans for me this weekend. I may go ride my bike tomorrow. I need to go and get some make up, but I've needed to do that for the last 3 weeks. How about you? We had the 100% humidity yesterday too. Today is a little better.

Nicole - I am so sorry. Did you try the ice? What about some gentle stretches for the muscles that surround and support the hips and back. I read on the internet to stretch 3x per day and did so religiously for the first few weeks. No yoga, just gentle stretches for the hamstrings, glutes, and hip flexors. What happens is that the nerve is getting pinched or has pressure on it (from disc material or misalignment, etc., mine was disc materioal) and then it sends wierd signals to the muscles and holds them in a contracted state, which puts more pressure on the nerve and it is a viscious (sp)cycle.

Hi Cheryl - I hope you feel better soon.

Swifty - I'm going to get the new P90X+ workouts. I regularly do dive bombers with the yoga, so they aren't a problem anymore. The Fluid Power has really helped me because it is a lot of moving around the body weight, which has helped develop my strength.

Laurie - I hope the new workouts will fit in with your rotation. I have never been a one body part per day person, so I don't know if I will use them that way.

Jeanette - I read about a good stretch for tennis/golf elbow. It has helped me. Not sure if I can describe it or not, but here goes while stand with arms at your sides and palms facing behind you, turn your palm up to the ceiling (like you are trying to have someone behind you put something in your hand)then rotate your hands, while still palm facing up, so that your fingers are pointing out to the side, away from your body. It really has helped my elbow issue.

TG - Glad you are getting some good results. That is always encouraging. Yes a rest day is a good idea.......

Happy Saturday to all,

Tracy

Okay...now I am officially worried about both of our Tracy/i's! Hoping you guys are okay!

I am planning on attempting the new Cathe BC...we'll see how that goes..LOL! Yesterday was an unplanned rest day due to my driving issues...and subsequent mental meltdown. So cardio today with bis and tris...and then yoga tomorrow...and my first week of one body part a day will be done. Dinner was fun last night...we just had burgers on the grill, but good to have some company. DD and I are heading to the State Fair later this afternoon...so that should be fun. We will be spending the night with some friends up that way, too. So I won't be checking in again until late tomorrow afternoon.

Now I need to catch up a bit with personals since I was just a crazy woman yesterday....maybe ttom is around the corner...who knows!

...Laurie...Good luck to DD and team at the sectionals! She seems to be a pretty driven kid. Have fun with that housework while DH is having fun out of the house...not! I have to drive XDH's car today since my muffler is hanging off the car a bit...Oops!

.....Jeanette...Hope you busy grasshoppers got all of that wood stacked. Good you stayed at work to help the priest...you will need those prayers for your golf game. My kitty rarely hits this litter box...which is a bit of an issue! I rescheduled her appt. for next week. Darn regulations on the marriage certificates! Like any woman would live with a man for 28 years if we weren't married...LOL!! Still haven't found mine. Are you seeing Grandma this weekend?

....Swifty....Glad you are still enjoying the X on this round. I am impressed that you are doing doubles at all...so any you do are a good thing! My hip flexors always gave me issues with those bicycles.

....Wendy...Glad you are taking it a bit easy since you are still sickly...Did the Dr say how long it would take for you to heal all the way? Glad DD handled the shots well...what a brave girl! Hope you guys are able to avoid all of the loose crocs! My BFF has a gator that lives in the pond behind her house...She has to be careful when she lets out her dog! You are cracking me up about the fake boobs in BBC...The main girl just doesn't look healthy to me either...too skinny and of course the added cleavage. Worse than the ta-tas is the incessant counting. That drives me insane! Obviously, I will not take your dvds!

Just refreshed my viewing mode to find out that at least one of the Tracy/i's is alive and well!!

....Tracy.....Have fun on the bike ride if you get a chance to go tomorrow. I have got to get back on my back this week...it has been too long. I love that you are the resident guru on stretches and help our IL folks! Our weather is great here today, which will make for a nice trip to the fair this afternoon. Make-up, hunh? I always buy it, but rarely use it!

Okay...I must head up and hit play....wish me luck! I will bbl to check on you guys before I head out of town.

Hi all,

Debra - It's really not make up, it's wrinkle cream. I do use that regularly. I think it helps. As for makeup, I only use an eye liner pencil and some lipstick. I have to or I would look like a ghost. None on the weekend though. I hope you have a better day today.

I'm wondering where Traci is? Helllooooooo...............

Round2/Phase3/Week9/Day2/PlyoX

The old legs came up with the stuff- YES, PlyoX is done!

This AM was the 2nd annual 1/2 marathon on our local trail. DH left early to round up volunteer bikers who assist with leading the runners. DD and I manned the water station at mile 3. It's the most gorgeous morning for a run. What a joy!

Happy Saturday to all xers!:7 :7 :7

Good Morning Girls!

I am on sabbatical yet again:( I am getting lots of cleaning done but that may be why I'm still on the IL. Still more cleaning to do today and I'll rest fully tomorrow, I promise.
Thank you all for the encouragement, it means a lot:*

Tracy, 100% humidity! Yuck! I thought it was yucky weather here. It's supposed to be 94 by Tuesdayx(Thanks for the insight on the back pain. I have not stretched yet but I will start. I am usually really good about stretching but have been avoiding all for the past few days. Enjoying the new DVD's? They seem very versatile.

Debra, Way to start the thread today! Because I am West Coast I know that will never happen for me. Dinner sounded fun and yummy:9 What a fun time you have planned! We'll miss you but have a great time and forget all of your troubles for a day or two, and that's an order;)

Laurie, How nice to have some time with your DD. I know I need to do that with my own sometime soon. Enjoy cleaning and know I will be right there with you:) All this talk of baking is making me envious! It's a bit too hot to start just yet. My DH took the AC out of the window last week, who would have guessed we'd have a heat wavt this weekx( Thanks for the encouragement. I am so blessed to have so many friends and family:)

Wendy, My, oh my! You are just selling this Thailand trip hard aren't you?:) I think you're all up on catastrophes too. Glad DD did well with her shots. She must be really excited to go. I actually have been able to take more time to read devotions. I know God is trying to teach me something through all of this. I am just resistant to listening right now:p How are you feeling today after your little workout?

Swifty, Sounds like the marathon was a wonderful time:) Glad the weather cooperated and no groundhogs were injured;)

Teddygirl, I hope you are recovering from the pizza:) What did you think of the movie?

Traci-X, Yoooohooooo, where are you? Are you sleeping in and relaxing while Wendell is gone? No, you're at the spa aren't you?:)

Hi Cheryl, Amy, Carol & Lea

Afternoon :) :)

Rotation: S&H/week II
am: hour jog + B&G floorwork/completed :)
pm: upper body/endurance ME

When I got home last night straight to bed I was super tired. I got up so early this morning had coffee and started my workout. Tomorrow I decided to take a rest day, been working out for 24 days straight:D Ted is waiting for me were going to watch Transfomers

Nicole: The movie was excellent, funny too. Janet Jackson was excellent. ttys

Hi all,

I just completed the all upper body from the new series. I decided to that since I didn't preview and know what weights to use. Now I know where to go heavier. It was a good workout and I WAS pumped by the end.

There are some clips up for the new Amy B dvds that I ordered and they look promising. Maybe I can come up with a rotation using both to use for the next couple of months and then the new X workouts will be out and I'll be set.

Nicole - After being in pain for a while, I realized that there were certain angles that I was leaning over that really irritated my back. The worst one for me was when I was working in the kitchen over the counter. I was like the 10 degree tilt Cathe used in some of the routines. That was not good at all. It's just something to think about, especially since you are cleaning.

It looks like rain again. Yeah!

Tracy

Hello Debra: thanks for starting today's thread.:)

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Surprisingly, I only have inner thigh DOMS and slight lower hamstring DOMS from yesterday's leg workout. I'm not working out today. I don't want to overdo it. I was wiped out last night. I still have 5 more days of nasy antibioctics. The side effects aren't too bad. They're more annoying: bad taste in mouth, naseau, and another one that women can get from a weakened immune system and antibiotic use. Needless to say, it's the first time I've had to deal with it. Not fun!

Tracy: Check you out! Did you do the upper body premix or each upper body segment? Are they one and the same? I haven't checked out the premixes yet. Do you think the upper body would be good subs for the X or would you recommend adding on to the upper body in the series? We are mainly staying in a city not usually visited by tourists. I'm not sure what the population is. There are some retired Westerners living in the area. When we go visit my grandfather, it will be in a rural area. I plan on meeting the homeschooler who lives in Bangkok. I'm bringing some books for her children and spices for her since import tax is expensive. Our other destinations are popular tourist areas. I've decided to not go to Cambodia to visit the Angkor Wat. I might change my mind though.

TG: Enjoy the movie!

Nicole: Take it easy. If your boys are anything like mine were, you'll never get a moment of rest if you're cleaning too. I wasn't sure how dd felt. Then yesterday, out of the blue, she told me she couldn't wait to go. I reminded her that she might not have many children her age speaking English, and she may have to converse with me and the Crazy Asian for long stretches. LOL You'd think that would damper her spirits. But, she's still excited nonetheless. I know what you mean about being still and listening to God. Sometimes I pray for a gentle Shout Out from him because I can be so stubborn. LOL

Amy-X: What a fun, active life you have! Good job on pumping out PlyoX!!!!

Debra: Will miss you until you return. Have a great time!!!! You've been married 28 years!!!!!!!!! Wow! What did you do? Get married in utero?}( Are you sure? Positively sure you don't want my dvds?;-)

Laurie: What a pleasure to see you here this weekend!!!! Best wishes for your dd!!!! The way you use BBC sounds doable. If I don't have any takers, I might try them once before deciding what to do.

Carol: Where you at? Bouncing and pumping with the new series I suppose.;-)

Okay ladies. Off I go to do something productive AKA laundry.

Ballistic Hugs To All

Wendy

Good evening,
Didn't get to post last night so will catch up now. Went woodcutting with DH today. We got a nice load of pine wood. This morning's workout (besides getting wood) was Christi Taylor's Core Cardio and then CT's Stepsational (for about 70 minutes total). Tomorrow will be our bike club's Fall Color Ride, which I am very much looking forward to. Not sure how many riders we will get. Weather should be nice for it too.

Laurie, our family's Fall Festival (with the chili and cornbread) will be next Saturday. I have a recipe for cornbread that I do in the dutch oven that has cream style corn, onions, green chilies, cheddar cheese, sour cream and some other stuff thrown in too. Makes a very moist cornbread and I love to make it. I put the charcoal underneath the kettle and on the lid. I just emailed everyone about the menu, asking what all they can bring. You would be proud of me today, I hauled lots of wood in. My back is tired now. Have you done the Kickbox workout yet? Funny about the UPS man putting your DVD under a badminton racquet. What kind of stuff did you get for your Tastefully Simple order? Hope today's rest day was enjoyed by you. What did you bake?

Teddygirl, you made me laugh about your food comment to Ted. I've been over at my folks house before and have witnessed my Dad finish breakfast and not long afterwards ask what they'll be having for lunch. It's like when you get that old, food occasions become pretty important. How was the pizza? How was Transformers? I just saw a commercial for it. We finally sat down and watched a movie: Premonition. Was pretty good, but sad ending.

Swifty, asparagus soup sounds wonderful. Hmmm, you may be one of those that asparagus doesn't work on like it does me. Your putzing in the kitchen sounds wonderful. I so rarely do anymore. I do like to cook when we are camping though. I was thinking of those breakfast cookies this morning when I has packing wood back and forth to the pickup. Sounds like the 1/2 marathon was nice. Did you have a good turnout for it?

Debra, so sorry about the accident. Glad no one was hurt. Hope you are feeling better now. It just wasn't a good day, was it? Hope today's was better for you too. Have fun at the fair! Eat some kettle corn for me. I need to keep on with the stacking at home. I have that bike ride tomorrow so will try to get some stacking in when I get home. Should be a nice day so no excuses!

Tracy, I'm not a huge fan of kickbox either so your review gives me hope. However, I do like floorwork, maybe because I get to lay down LOL. Thank you for the tennis elbow stretch. I will keep working on that one. It really hits that area good. Sometimes I see my DH lean way over at the bathroom sink and prop himself with his forearm while he's brushing his teeth. That tilt gets to him too.

Nicole, I need to go check out your photos. I'm hoping that today was a better day for you too, painwise. I get my DVD's on Tuesday also. Pretty excited for them. Really, the elbow isn't improving as quickly as I'd like, but it's only slowing me down on my weight lifting. It didn't hamper my wood stacking and packing either and I remember it did about a month ago. Hang in there girl.

Wendy, you must have been so proud of your DD to face those shots like she did. Sounds like you have your mom all lined out on the paperwork. What a good daughter you are. My mom has 4 daughters that help her with her paperwork, but she is learning to do more for herself. I sometimes wish that she'd had a part time job somewhere in an office where she would have become more comfortable with talking with people, making phone calls, arranging things. She's better than she used to be though. I'm not real sure why my sister's kids aren't motivated to go on with their schooling. Yep, a very rural area here. I just remember when I was growing up, I wanted to see my name near the top for grades, compared with the other kids in the class. Maybe LIS will help my funk too. So glad you loved it! Hope you don't have a YI from the antibiotics. I've never had one before, but they sound nasty. No, it's not Debra that's been married 28 years you silly, it's me! I'm probably old enough to be her Mama!

Okay ladies, got to go now. I'm off to make a pot of coffee. By the way, where is Traci today? I'm sure missing her.

Got to go,

Jeanette
