Xers.....Whatever Tuesday........

Greetings from Luxembourg,
Well I did BM2- time saver cardio today. I just want to get some blood flowing and warm up those neck muscles. I can turn my head a little more. I'm praying I can get back to P90X Saturday. All in all it was a good workout. I managed to get all my errands done. I always have so much to do when I come back from the US after an extented period of time. The fact that I was out of commission Saturday through Monday didn't help either. And guess what... I've decided (or DH REALLY convinced me) to go to the US Sunday with him and that's for just 4 days x( But he's traveling so much in January that it's about the only way I can see him.

Tracy~~ You mind if I ask who's Eion?

Tracy X ~~ Thank you (also Tracy) for warning me about Kenpo X and the strain it could put on my neck. I'll keep that in mind. What I am worried about is CST (if I restart on Saturday). That's the one that gave me that terrible neck strain... Now I should know better than continue when your neck pops in the first serie of push-ups. STOP...}( }(

Lea~~ What a great mom you are, introducing your boys to Yoga. DH surely would have like to start a little younger than his 52!!! The poses are for some reasons a little harder to master LOL

Debra~~ How old is Diva? Yep they pretty much have a mind of their own. I remember the scenes DD use to do when she was younger LOL :p

Sandra~~ PLEASE be careful with those warning signs... I ignored mine and I am now out of commission for a while. As I said yesterday, your body is your boss... you might have mind-over-body but it will still win in the end.

Wendy~~ WOW! I'm impressed by your dedication to homeschool your children. What an undertaking it must be! As for your niece, I hope she can find some quality time with your family, it seems she doesn't get it when with her father... how sad! By the way, I am 52, so yes it makes me the senior within this group, but I certainly don't feel like it or act like it. DH and I have decided we are not aging anymore (ya right...:p :p :p ) As for missing Canada, I miss not seeing my family more than the country itself. Living in Europe is a lot like living in Quebec, the same mentality. As for DD, yes she does have calves muscles. All of them have huge leg muscles, it's the only way you can get those leaps off the floor. It's really hard to find boots that fit her.

Carol~~ Congratulations to you too for your dedication of homeschooling your children. It sounds like you are quite busy with the children in different directions. I had the same situation years ago...lol when Patricia was one way with dance and our son JP was playing triple A hockey and baseball. Then we also had Tae-Kwon-Do (as a family)... I feel for you. Been there, done that! :+

Jeanette~~ I am not familiar with any of these workouts. I had an insane collection of Firm, then I moved on to Cathe which I have a good assortment and a full collection of Stott Pilates and Yoga and that's about it. Of course P90X also.

Amy~~ Hugs to you too. I'll get to know you as I continue with this group. Must tell you ALL that I've never felt so welcome and drawn every day to chat with you...:) :) :)

Laurie~~ As I was reading the news online (the only way I know what's going on when DH does not bring me the newspaper at night) I saw about those tornados. Go figure; tornados in January then snow... Hello... Is something wrong with our planet or what?

Wendy~~ WOW Thailand! What an intriguing country, at least for me. I command you for considering adopting a baby. It must be so hard to put them down in their cribs after holding on to them and I am sure they must be longing so much for love!

AmyX~~ Thank you for your welcome. I'll get to know you better.

Night-night girls. I'll go study a little German for a while. Talk to you tomorrow. By the way, when I start those treads, is the day qualitative suppose to rhyme with the day, like Wonderful Wednesday!!!;-)

Hi all!! Back again for a chat. I got most of my errands and chores done today...except for the mopping of the floor...and I am still working on laundry. I also did GS legs, if you can believe that! Well, I started the longer time saver, but then it was time for my massage (which was lovely). I got through all of the timesaver standing work before I left...which let me add, is most of the standing work...there are only a couple of sets left out. So, I got home and did a few more chores...and I was talking to CB...I mentioned that I was heading up to finish my leg workout, which takes a lot for me since I really don't like doing legs....When my sweet man said, "Well, keep up the good work with your legs, 'cause they look great!! I love your legs!" Isn't he good for my ego?? So instead of just finishing up the timesaver, I went ahead and did all of the floor work plus the calf raises which are left out of the standing part. Aren't you guys proud of me?? I guess someone just needs to have CB call me on the leg days to get my motivation up there!

Personals....

Tracy...
I am proud of you for just staying with the upper body work with the X this time! You know your body better than Tony anyway....so whatever keeps you motivated. You're right, it is warm here today too...which is good since I got my outside Xmas lights put up...LOL.

Traci....
Hope you enjoyed CardioX today...Why the core work 2 days in a row?? Just curious. I guess DD figures she is entitled to her moods since she witnessed the throwing of the glue the other day...LOL! I did think about what I am going to wear tomorrow...LOL! I don't want to look like the oldest person on campus, but I also don't want to look like I am trying to look 20 again. I always talk to myself at the grocery store...I know I get some strange looks sometimes. CB talks to himself all the time too...He'll be in another room just rambling and I am asking, 'Are you talking to me, 'cause I can't hear you.' But, no...just chatting with himself...lol.

Lea...
I bet your boys will enjoy yoga...My DD always comes in to do yoga with me. I wish we had a kids yoga here...but she is busy with gymnastics and dance...so I guess she gets plenty of stretching.

Sandra...
I am getting out my new communications textbook out so that I can tell you what it entails...since I don't know...LOL. One of my communication options was public speaking which I avoided. Hmmmm...looks to me that this is 'interpersonal communication'...there seem to be a lot of big words that basically say that people talk to each other verbally and non verbally. Cultural differences also seem to be noted...we also have the stages of listening as well as conflict in interpersonal relationships...Maybe I should have read this before I separated from XDH...LOL! What is cracking me up as I look at the contents of the text book is that extra long words are used when something shorter would be just as good. I guess I better dust off that thesaurus! I know....that CB is a pretty good guy! I am surprised I got that lucky my first time out...LOL! I always assume anyone is talking about football...just one of those American things! Email when you get the chance about the Webkinz thing....my DD always asks about all of you guys and where you live and what color hair you have and kids, etc...she will love it! Glad you had fun with your workout today.

Wendy...
You crack me up talking about how your sleep cycle is messed up...You always sleep at the strangest times anyway...LOL! No telling when you are going to just fall out during our retreat. Gracious! That does not sound like a good environment for your little niece to be in...I hope she gets to stay with you guys for a while. I am looking forward to school...even if it is a bit nervously.

Carol...
Missed you yesterday! Glad you have the whip back out, though! Sounds like you are getting back into the swing of things, though. Those kids can drag you here, there, and everywhere! I will have to check out the link for the role playing thing since I haven't heard of that.

Swifty...
So glad to see you crawling out from under your books! I feel your pain about the studying. I will be with you soon enough. I am not looking forward to all the memorization I will be doing over the summer and fall. UGH. So nice that DH and GF are willing to help you out! Visit us whenever you get the chance....even if it is just to blow off a little steam.

Teddygirl...
Thanks for the compliments on CB...We have been happy...It is really nice for a change...LOL!

Christiane...
Eoin is Eoin Finn who is one of the Xers favorite yogis...You must check him out! He is very calming...and has a great section that loosens up your hips like you wouldn't believe. Here is his website http://www.eoinfinnyoga.com/ My diva is 6...she is turning 7 in March...but sometimes she acts like she is 12! I am sure you will be glad to spend the time with DH even though you'll have to travel more. Good luck with the German. I studied Russian for a while...OMG...what an incredibly hard language!

Jeanette....
I am glad you like the harder choreography...I usually just can't keep up with intricate moves. The Democrats were great today...the ones I actually talked to were really nice. I felt very proud of myself for participating in our democratic process...lol! I laughed at your pedicure story...I went to a place like that once...and the girl just beat on me for a while...I found another cheap place that does a great job, though. A guy did my pedicure yesterday...and he gave me the best foot and calf massage! Bless his little heart. I am sure you will get back into cycling shape in no time. Those Garage Boys will whip you into shape.

Amy...
Waving as you fly by! Miss you!

Laurie...
Did you ever see the movie 'Day After Tomorrow' with Dennis Quaid about global warming? Crazy hurricanes and tornadoes...and even though it was dramatized hugely for the big screen, sometimes I think it is happening on a smaller scale. So sorry DD was scared yesterday...That is another thing I don't miss about living in the Midwest...those darn tornadoes...always hiding in the basement! Good for DD for working out some yesterday...she better keep in shape for track.

Wow....I guess I caught up for now...DD is going out to dinner with one of her friends and I am having a Kashi frozen pizza...so at least that is taken care of. I must get to bed early so that I can be well rested for my first class tomorrow!

Good evening,
Had a good day at work today. Got the word that we will be having a new boss on Monday. I hear that he is open to flex hours so think I will ask to have my lunch 45 minutes eliminated so I can work 8-4 each day.

Just got back from Mom's. My sister and I went over to see if there is anything we can do to help Mom with Grandma's needs. My chore will be to find Grandma a dentist in the town of Chico (2 hour plus drive away) and get her teeth fixed. My mom just doesn't want to have to do that so guess I will. I can take time off from work and get paid Family Sick Leave. I also brought up about the Prison Pups. They did say they want a small dog. Currently, the program at the prison only has a few medium to large dogs.

Back to personals:

Sandra, please take care of the elbows and shoulders. Those elbow problems are pesky for sure. Mine took a while to get rid of. Hopefully getting back into golf in the spring won't reawaken the injury. Thanks for the tip of right clicking on the reply to open a new window. I was just opening a new window from my desktop. Your way is a lot easier. I meant to say Ab Ripper X once a WEEK, not month. Month sounds better though. I'm not sure what the music was in 9801, but I liked it. There is one song in Christi's newest Cardio Conditioning that is kind of rap that I don't like. Other than that one, I've liked everything (especially Oooga Chucka, Ooga Chucka, Ooga, Ooga, Ooga Chucka) so far.

Wendy, okay, State College is a town. I thought it was an institution. I kept picturing you staying in some dorm for the weekend. So the BIL that drinks is the DH of your sister that is in Thailand now? Have you heard from her yet? Thank you so much for praying for us gals and our family members. You have a big heart. When I saw Grandma tonite, she looked so good!!! Very perky for a 93 year old. All dressed up and her hair was neatly done. So your friend cooked for Baby? I can tell when DH starts feeding Tillie his leftover sandwich from lunch. She looks like a stuffed sausage. You are really thinking of adopting a baby? Wow, I can't even imagine. I am a bad mom I guess. I couldn't wait for my kids to get out on their own. Love it when DS comes to visit though. I've had the pictures on the trail for quite a while, but recently added a few. Thanks for compliments on the face. However, I just started wearing sunscreen in the last 7 or 8 years. All those hours of riding horses in the hot sun without sunscreen is definitely taking it's toll. My skin is looking like the leather on my western saddle LOL! Today I looked at myself and my face looked tired. I really need a haircut (and a facelift) badly. Have to wait until Thursday after work. I did make the chai tea recipe. Actually doubled it and have been enjoying it. Bad me, I made it with Splenda.

Carol, you are one busy lady for sure! Hope you are not too sore with doubling up on the workout. Yep, my DVD player is working okay now, but my laptop is still not. I received the new keyboard today and installed it. Still no workie. I emailed them and let them know. I expect them to call me tomorrow. The externally hooked up keyboard works just fine.

Amy, glad you could stop by. Life is crazy, huh?

Laurie, must have been so scary with the tornado. I tell you, the world's weather is getting crazier and crazier. Makes me wonder what's up. That's pretty neat about your DD working out to Cathe. You must inspire them. Are you looking forward to volleyball this summer? I'm going to check out some more of Amy's workouts. I like her way. Hopefully, Tracy will recommend another cardio workout for me to get.

Latrese, good going on the 3# weight loss. I'd like to lose at least 3 just to get back to where I was before Christmas. Can't wait until I can walk during the day again. I've never done CC#6 (Candace or Sean) or CC#7. Have done the others. They are all good.

Swifty, so glad you checked in! You will do fine with your studies. Sorry there is baggage from earlier on. I think we all have some of that in some form or another. I know I do. Wonder if the run will make you sore tomorrow.

Debra, ooooh bet you want to kiss that CB for the nice compliment to your legs. What a treasure he is!!! Guess not all pedicures are expected to be relaxing, huh? Yep, I've got my work cut out to get back into cycling shape. Hope the snow melts by Sunday so I can ride.

Christiane, glad to hear your neck is getting better. I hate that hitchy feeling. You can do a search for Christi Taylor workouts on the internet. She is a wonderful cuer of step and hi-lo. Tracey Staehle is also good. If you like more dancy, intricate choreo, both of those ladies, and Amy Bento (I'm finding out) are good for that. I need something trickier to keep me from getting bored. Amy and Tracey are stepped up in intensity from Christi Taylor. Do you do step workouts? If you start the thread first, you can do whatever you want, just so long as it has Xers in it. Surprise us!

Watching a Pink Panther movie right now with DH. Love those movies.

Jeanette
