Xers.......................Wednesday

Debra- Let me think on your main dish question. I love to cook and am very good at "experiments" that are super tasty....I will mull it over.

Okay....Just a question. Does ANYONE have a cigarette??? I just finished Kenpo (Teddygirl....NAKED feet!!!) and Magically Hips! Holy cow, my hip feel wonderful, but I almost need a cigarette!!!;-) ;-) ;-) :7

Oh, one negative comment about the MH workout....I really, REALLY could have done without that one girl's G-string underwear showing the ENTIRE workout! And pink! Junta, I think, was her name. The one in front wearing the white pants and the 70's halter top (not that she didn't look good in it, mind you).

Classic: Phase 1/ Week 2/ Day 3/ Round 1

Hi all,
Super late check-in but I had to pick up hotlunch for the boys school today so I was in town early. The drive to scool took me 45 minutes this morning instead of 20, yeah! I did Shoulders & Arms this morning which I love but I'm afraid I'll bulk up if I keep lifting semi-heavy. Did anyone else find that they were hungrier?

TraciX: Glad to hear you're still pushing play. I think what keeps me coming back are all of the strength workouts. I have a love/hate relationship with cardio. I love/hate doing it but feel like I have to to be lean. I guess we'll see what the verdict is in a few months.

Laurie: Tell your DD, "Way to go!"

Jeanette: Hope your lunch was yummy. As for your butt, isn't it amazing how having a sore butt makes you realize how much you actually use it during the day:)

Amy: Have fun bagging the lawn!

SandraX: Hope you found a good workout. If you have Oxegyn Magazine, they always have great "traveling" workouts.

Wendy: What did you take? I want some! As for Body for Life, I like the basic principles, especially the free day:) Hope you find something that works for you. You look great!

Debra: Here's a link for an easy, yummy meal:

Hope you all had a great day!

Hi girls,

Had a good day at work today. Administrative Professional's lunch was very nice. Many different kinds of salads and some skewered chicken and beef. Tasty! I also had a breadstick that was good. Sorbet too.

Didn't get a bike ride after work as it was starting to sprinkle so I hopped on my other bike on the trainer and spun for about 25 minutes. Think I got most of the lactic out of my legs. My chi-chi's are still sore from Squeeze. Good workout. Hope it gets me good again next time.

Laurie, congrats on your DD's time trial. Was she the one that had the really sore quads a while back? What distances does she run? I remember hating to run the "600 yard dash" in school. I never was a dasher at all. I was on the junior college track team, but with my amazing speed, they handed me a javelin and pointed to another field to play on. That's where I first hurt my knee. Glad you got a chance to relax on the couch. So you like Kimberly Spreen? I'll have to check out some of her stuff. Who'd have thought I would become such a vidiot? I think it all started with a YogaZone video for beginners. Hope you have more energy tomorrow. Core Syn can wait.

Amy, how was the new Sweatfest? Did you like it? Hope you got the mowing done. I was looking at our back yard and it needs it badly. Also have dandelions. I've never noticed that girl's g-string before. I'll have to pay attention next time. Love the little doggie sitting up on the mat.

Wendy, so sorry about the allergies. Hope you get some relief soon. Oh my gosh! Your pictures are amazing! I really see some difference, a very good difference. I can't imagine at the end of 90 days how you will look! You are really, really doing well! I'm with you on being thankful for this checkin, it really, really, really helped me during my time with the X. I did buy the timer guy a Starbuck's card today because he loves to go there. I think everything is in place for the competition. Hope we get more than a few riders. I know there is a race a couple days after the hill climb so some of the guys are foregoing the hill climb to save their legs for the race. And you silly, the time guy is NOT like the milk man. By the way, have you seen Casino Royale? LOL re: the I Dream Of Jeannie veil while riding. Hey, I bet it would really work too. I remember back about 8 years ago, I was out on the desert with a girlfriend and we were gathering and driving her herd of cows. It was this time of year and those gnats were merciless. I was in agony, digging and scratching at my ears and scalp. When we got to the branding grounds, I had to find a hose and hosed my head down, trying to put out the flame in my scalp. My head felt like it was on fire!!! Those little bugs had bit the tar out of me, also caused the glands in my neck to swell up. I hate those little buggers.

Teddygirl, hope you are feeling better now. Sorry you are not feeling like staying with P90X. The important thing is to just keep working out and ENJOYING IT! And if a person's not enjoying it, they either need to just take a break from it for a while, or find some workouts or activities that they do enjoy. The eating is the biggest part anyway. Think I told you earlier, but I love B&G!!! Oh, I see you are going to do KenpoX. Does that mean you are back with Tony?

Katie, good results. Congrats on the weight loss and BF% loss. I was also looking forward to more carbs as I love them.

Traci, LOL re: your DH taking pictures of you. Must be a guy thing cuz for some reason, my DH sure didn't complain as much as I thought he would about taking my pictures. So how do you classify Sculptfest? Hope the storms have passed and gone bye bye. Our weather was cloudy this afternoon, but they assure me it will be nice for a while.

Debra, glad the dentist appointment is over for you. So you are a clencher of the dentist chair arms, huh? When I used to drink diet soda, I couldn't wait to have a soda after having my teeth all clean for some reason. Self-sabotage. Hope you picked a good dish and had a good time tonite. I know what you mean about being tense when they are cleaning around a certain sensitive area in my mouth. I just hate that. If they zing me more than once, I get really mad. Sounds like another busy day for you.

Nicole, my arms did get bigger, but after P90X, I did a Slim Series rotation and they actually got smaller but had just as much definition. Loved that.

Got to go now,

Jeanette

Hi Gang,

Yup, it's late here (11pm) and I'm still up. Yawwwn. Just had so much to get done today. Am pleased to say I did it all. I'm heading to bed now, so don't want to write a long post and wind up staying up even later.

I wound up doing Rhythmic Step today, as per Jeanette's suggestion. It was perfect for a day like today. I'm thinking I might do BM2 tomorrow. I want a workout that will leave me needing a rest day (Friday).

I hammered out a travel workout schedule that will work, as long as I'm able to find and purchase a high-tension band tomorrow. I reviewed my notes and rediscovered that Cathe's Upper Body and Lower Body weight workouts on the Basic Step dvd use mostly bands, and light hand weights. I think they'll do nicely, as long as I can find a band that will truly feel challenging.

I'm also bringing along KPC, KM, DrillMax, PY4H, and SJP. I think the DM cardio would work just fine without a step, as she uses it primarily for jumping on and off of; not step choreography. For the little she uses it, I could just jump in the corresponding direction. It'll do. The weight work is completely modifiable for using dynabands and a stability ball (apparently my father has one!). Between these workouts and their premixes, I've got more than enough to keep me busy for 11 days. And if my plan falls apart, well, it's only 11 days.

Okay, I have an even busier day tomorrow, so I'd better go. I enjoyed reading all your posts today and wish I had more time to address all your comments. Off the top of my head:

Amy - I'm glad you enjoyed PY4H as much as I did!!

Wendy - your core is looking fabulous after only 30 days! Very impressive! Sparkspeople.com (free website) provides menus and grocery lists, tailored to your specifications.

TraciX - I hope the storms have finally subsided and your babies are calm again.

JeanetteX - the story about the gnats on the cattle drive....yeeeww!! Sounds miserable.

DebraX - yay on the clean, healthy teeth!

TracyX - how's the pee count these days?

WendyX, LaurieX, Katie, Debfer, Swifty, Teddygirl, and anyone else who's slipped through my tired brain: Have a great night. I'll see you all tomorrow.

Cheers,
SandraX
