Best laid plans change again… We are only going to bay for weekend as it looks like Sun & Mon will be rained out plus Sandy’s hips are bothering her a lot as of last night. Shoot at this rate I may not be going at all…. Lets just say it’s a Play it By Ear weekend.

LaurieX:
I try and catch all the cooking shows too! I’m addicted to eating thru other people. Food Networks Next Star is my favorite. No BBC Cardio today… My body is tired and I want to try and keep myself in tune with its needs. Coming up on ttom so the cravings will hit me harder if I push too much with cardio. REALLY excited about doing only Kick today tho! Hope that beading is close to completed for you!

Wendy:
CONGRATS on receiving a lick from Eoin! I cant wait to hear your thoughts as you do a few of the premixes. LOVE a COLD COLD room at night! I actually sleep with my electric blanket on low because we keep it 76 at night… That’s REALLY cold for us. Sandy’s is waaaaay to big to be carried up & down stairs! She just weighed in at 75#’s both my boys are at 110#’s! She just has aging hips & takes meds but they are working less & less. Its kinda sad because if you didn’t know she had arthritis you’d think she was a pup. Full of life and vigor.

Jeanette X:
Good decision spending quality time with DH! That’s the most important part of life… This has been one of those weeks where I feel like DH & I had ZERO quality time… Just too much going on to stop and take a breathe to enjoy each other. Hope HILL CLIMB went extremely well! I just read your last post…. It DID go well! Congrats!!!! ROF about gramma being able to keep up with you! Your workout yesterday morning sounded tiring to me! Yep- Those are the standing KM drills…. I still struggle with tight hammies too but have to admit that yoga and regular stretching is helping me a great deal.

Cheryl:
LOL on Step Works! You must have a VERY high boredom factor! If I have to do same workout in 30 days I get cranky!! C&W just must get replaced! That’s almost like losing your BC! HORRORS!!!!

TeddyGirl: hmmmmmmmmmmmm does SOMEONE have access to a PC this weekend???? Is that our surprise???

TracyX:
I'm with ya on the set & clothes… I SWEAR I cant tell ya what music plays either… I think I focus too much on not killing myself ! Well Mr Blanchard is probably not exaggerating at all- look at you and your results. I wonder what would happen If I Yoga-‘d it every day plus lifted one part….. Then time wouldn’t be a factor….. hmmmmmmm AM I BRAVE ENOUGH for a change like that? I agree that PH, MIS BM1 is a great investment! I’m no computer software brain child… so sorry. Hope you got it all figured out

SandraX:
LOL about Jai- I watch her all the time in workouts… My idol! She is just so dang buff and lean and flexible! Hmmmmm 35 minutes of legs & I can call it a day? Yep- Gotta pull out SH! LOL on your passion for floor! Oh yes I do indeed recall you & TracyX having a bit of a discussion about your concerns as to WHY it was all necessary!!! I do think that you are a poster child for doing what you don’t like if it works tho…. PARTY TIME on the new grass! Don’t let children or animals near it for awhile!!!

Nicole:
OF COURSE you’re gonna make it you silly gal! You are certainly one of the most determined Xers I have ever seen. In a couple of weeks you’ll be thinking… that wasn’t so bad! LOLOLOL That’s FABULOUS about doing YogaX all the way too! There needs to be a special medal awarded every time someone does that! BB Series should be a fun one and really help you lean out! *thump* to that X boyfriend btw! ENJOY L&B for the last time today!

Swifty:
Glad you enjoyed your amusement park day! I have never gotten into those for some reason – we grew up in S. Cal and visited all of them but other than Sea World I had no interest. My poor DH- He loves all that – LOL on Strawberry Cotton Candy… sounds as clean as any food with candy in title!

Amy:
Enjoy SLEEP day… It has been a strange week for you hasn’t it? I find that when I am building muscle I could take 5 naps a day. It truly does take a lot of rest to support muscle growth.. I imagine that’s part of your fatigue this week.

Think I caught everyone else yesterday.... Happy day to all!

Hi all,

I lost my post twice on another computer, so I’m trying the laptop.

I got the elliptical put together yesterday with the help of DS and then did 30 minutes SS. It said that I burned 200 calories which is equivalent to about how many cashews I ate before I started. Hmmmm…..2 minutes to eat several cashews, 30 minutes to burn them off. I may think again before I eat those nuts. Then of course I did some yoga. It really makes the upper body muscles look pumped.

Today I’m going to the river for either a walk or run. I may end up doing a short leg workout and then some yoga.

Traci – Don’t they have arthritis medication for dogs? It seems like they gave me something at one point for Jessie’s stiffness. Are you anywhere near the flooding? Absolute Kickboxing in it’s entirety? Yes you could make the switch to more yoga. I think that you would be surprised at how it helps to define the muscles.

Jeanette – Glad you finished the windy hill climb. I always feel accomplished regardless of whether I better my times or not. Barring no more injuries, I want to do a century this fall.

Tracy

Good morning!

Legs & Back this AM with ARX. Completed! Enjoyable morning as DD had a sleep over at Grandmas house. Ahhhhhh.

Yes, I made a mistake. Today is leg and back not Wed. as I had previously posted this week. I was sweatin it up. L&B is a toughie. The legs are looking better than ever.

I'm so weird- when the child is out of the house I can concentrate more. I have a serious x( case of obsession worry. Seems I think about not groaning loudly when it hurts or turning the volume up too high on the stereo during wo's. DD's bedroom is right above my wo space! Oh, do I need some help?;-)

Hope to check back in later. Have a super duper day! Off to work. :7 it's Friday!

Good morning you perky and chatty ladies! Lots going on here yesterday. I am hoping to start working out again next week. I am really itching to workout, but I don't even have a dvd player hooked up yet! I guess moving and unpacking boxes counts for some weight work. And I got out of breath yesterday just walking outside since it was so hot!

The painters are back again this morning...should be doing the master bath and finishing up the powder room...I was walking around the house last night and I am really happy with it. I almost finished the diva's room yesterday. It still needs to be painted (orange and hot pink, if you can imagine!) but so far it looks great. DD is really happy with it and she said it looked "perfect". She was very cute unpacking her stuffed animals and putting them away yesterday. There is a small loft area in her room where her bed is and she is using that as her "stage"....very funny!

I also got a lot done in the dining room yesterday since it is fully painted. I am liking the gold I chose more and more...I think I just needed to get used to it since our last dining room was a chocolate brown color...this is much brighter. I am going to use blue and white pottery in there for a kind of French country look...

Okay...enough about my house for now! Except...I just have to add...last night I was looking out our back door and there were hundreds of fireflies out....It was the most amazing thing that I have seen! I have never seen so many all at one time before. I am really liking being in the South again!!!

I promise to start up with personals next week...By the time I sit down at night, I am too tired to make a coherent sentence...and I wake up with lots to do in the morning....anyway...Love you guys!!

Arrived at work. Lot's of copying to do.x(

Debra- Wow! Lovely home. Did you have it custom designed just for you? IL resident huh- my family had friends way back from Rockford. I fell in love with that town. Fond memories!:) Good luck in the new digs!

Good morning,
DH and I stayed up late watching "Man On Fire", so I overslept this morning. Did get in most of Jari Love's RTTC this morning. I have the worst time with these cheap DVD's freezing in my DVD player.

Traci, so sorry about Sandy's hips bothering her. We are watching my folks' boxer and she has a hard time getting up. I love watching the cooking shows too. Eating vicariously. DH gets a kick out of me watching them. Had a nice time watching a movie with DH last night. Been a while since we've done that. Now I can finally send back those DVD's to Netflix. Think they were all dusty, they'd sat on the counter for so long. DH and I'll get some quality time tomorrow picking out tile. LOL, hope it doesn't end in a fight. Actually, he seems to like whatever I like (smart man). I'm pleased with the hill climb as I pushed pretty hard at the end and that's what makes you stronger anyway. Have you started any personal training yet? I sure wish I lived nearer to you to have that happen.

Tracy! So glad the eliptical is together. How was the SS on it? Did you listen to music? The river sounds wonderful. I sure wish I had more time, but work gets in the way. When I'm retired in another 5-6 years, I hope to be able to mix up my workouts more and take time for longer walks and outings. I'll be doing another century in July if the weather isn't too hot. If it's hot, will probably do a modified route and do 70-80 miles. Starting early is the key.

Swifty, sounds like you are a considerate parent, not obsessive at all. Glad the legs are shaping up nicely.

Debra, your home sounds so beautiful. I need to take at peek at your picture trail soon. Hope you post pictures of the new colors and furnishings.

Wendy, hope your cold is getting better and you haven't killed Phil with your raging hormones. Did I answer the question on the bike for you? I'm such an airhead sometimes, can't remember.

BBL,

Jeanette

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph3/Wk12/Day5/Rnd2
Workout: Legs & Back / ARX / 4 Mile Run (All of this for the last time) ;-)

Today we will be going out with some friends that we haven't seen in quite a while. We will be going to a place called Mitchell's Fish Market (I checked out their web page, and they have recipies on there. Maybe I shouldn't have looked, WOW on the fat I will be eating. Oh man Key Lime Pie!!!!!):9. So I'm thinking this is my cheat meal for the week. :9 I love sea food escpecially scallops. We are not going out until about 7:30 so I will try to get in as much of my workout as possible. If I don't have time I will get the rest in on Saturday.

Sandra, Yes visions of beading are dancing in my head. I feel like I have so much to do yet. But I have 3 days off next week, and I have time tomorrow also. Let me see third round of the X..... probably not until later in the year. I have so many workouts that I want to get through. Most of them kickboxing, I love that these DVD's all have premixes with them.

Traci, Have a great time with Absolute Kickboxing. LOL about eating through other people, that must be what I am doing too. Or I just like seeing people humiliated. :D Oh now I have to get to the food network to find Next Star.

Tracy, Top Chef is on Wednesdays on Bravo. I like watching Hell's Kitchen also. Gordon is very intense sometimes (no make that all the time) :D Haven't been watching any of the dancing ones. The girls like Idol and Biggest Loser also. I like the cooking and Shear Genius. Glad you got your elliptical set up. Does it have some pre-programed workouts on it? Will you be using your CC's also?

Wendy, The beadwork was through trial and error. I take the material and try making something work with it. It is fun to see what you can create. Sometimes it takes me a while to actually see what the material can give me. And what size beads I need to use. My DH always wants me to figure it out within two minutes. It can take a week just to see what beads work in the pattern. :)

Nicole, I like Bryan also. He talks a lot, but then so does Tony. ;-)

Swifty, Mmmmmm Cotton Candy, this is like my all time favorite food grouping. :) I can remember when we could get it hot from the machine. :9 We also had a little machine that we had when we where kids. That thing made great CC.

Jeanette, Did you get to watch one of those Netflix movies you have laying around? :) I have a DVD that I need to get back to Blockbuster. They even called about it. x(

Have a great day!

Laurie

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Absolute KickBox is completed……… Holy Cra*-ola! My entire ab region is on fire…. I did the Circuit Premix which is the entire DVD just in Circuit format including her LOVELY cool down & additional ab segments…and the nice stretch= 94 minutes . The time flew by. It’s a keeper for sure but I do have to say that the combat drills need to be done VERY CAREFULLY! The pace can get to fast for some (imo) to keep proper form if you are using a bar that’s got any weight to it. I kept switching from 3-5 #s … It isn’t really the actual weight that I was leery of it was the rotations in the upper joints that I found could be problematic.

TracyX:
Congrats on burning your first 200 calories! LOLOLOL…. I bet you had a blast testing the Monster tho! Sandy’s been on Rimadyl (sp) for 3 years now- it’s the only thing available and plays havoc on their livers but theres no options…. She is actually limping quite badly today- my heart just breaks because she is nearly 16 now and I wont allow her to suffer… once she starts showing signs of actual pain / unable to move I will take care of her immediately. Its been very difficult for me the past year seeing her struggle a bit more every month. It was just the two of us until 6 yrs ago… All that horrid flooding is North West of us…. About 100 miles away. We are safe and sound.. Thanks for asking.

Swifty:
AHHHHHHH The sounds of a DD-Less morning! Enjoy the solitude. CONGRATS on the lovely legs! I saw my best results with legs EVER doing X.

DebraX:
LOL on you and the “heat” comments! You HAVE been gone too long!! WOW on the fireflies! That is so cool! About 4 years ago we had a ton at the bay that we would watch every night – that was the first time I had ever seen them in real life! You are loved too! Happy unpacking and directing of contractors!

Off to get cleaned up and get some cleaning – correction get some MUCH NEEDED cleaning done.

Hi all,

I'm just finishing previewing Strike Zone. That looks like a challenging workout. I'm sure the legs are pretty fatigued by the time you get to the sculpt section making it extra effective. Ok, so I have a long way to go to get my hips as flixible as Janis'.

Traci - Do you do this one in it's entirity?

Tracy

TracyX:
StrikeZone... I used to do it as produced.... Now I use it as just the Kickboxing (shorter cardio days) and the Drills / Strenth Segments as part of my lower body focused days... I actually get more out of the drills doing them a) before the cardio Kickbox b)separate day.

Jeanette, Laurie you snuck in on me... I'll bbl to catch up with you 2.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Plyo done! B&B done! ARX DONE!

I still have a lingering cough that is starting to die. But, no more phlem! I couldn't believe how much stronger I felt yesterday. Maybe it was a combination of using too much weight while being sick last week that held me back, made me sore and feel bloated. It could also be that the house is cooler and I ate better than normal. I picked up some Thai food for dinner. YUM! I was able to increase my weights or reps without affecting my form. I only poorly attempted ARX once last week. It was so pathetic that I wouldn't even consider it as pushing play. It was probably a good thing I didn't push it more than I already did while sick. It was as if I never took a ARX break yesterday. :)

I'm debating on Eion or PlyoX? I think I'm going for PlyoX and subbing Eion during my recovery week. It'll give me more time to preview him.

Gotta open another window for personals.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

I only have a little time before ds and I talk to the recruiter. Don't worry. He's NOT signing a thing! He's only exploring his options.

Traci-X: Too bad you might not be able to get away. Yes, I'm saying this with a smile. Stay here! Play with us!!! ;-) I admire you and Tracy for listening to your body. It's so hard for me while on the X. I can modify. But, I feel so limited. Yeah, it's time for a new rotation. Soon!!! I can tell I like Eion already. For one, I can understand what it means to lick icecream off my thighs. Not that I or anyone else has done it before. just saying.:p ;) Yes, I have seen your HUGE babies! They do look young! Maybe it's their crew cuts. LOL Sorry to hear that Sandy isn't feeling as young as she looks. Baby is blessed that I can carry her when her lyme disease starts acting up. When it does, I take her into the vet for a round of antibotics and shots.

Tracy-X: YAY!!! YAY!!!! YAY!!! I'm so happy for you! LOL on taking 30 minutes to burn 2 minutes of indulgence.:7 Maybe if I considered this before I ate, I'd be looking like Amy and you by now!:) I'm so excited to try Eion. Which one should I do first? There's 270 minutes of yoga, I'm sure one of his premixes should work! Phil got his copy of Sports Illustrated yesterday in the mail. I thought of you when they featured some yoga poses. Interesting facts on yoga you found. I'm glad yoga is working so well for you! You inspire me to keep keeping on till I reach the bliss. :)

Swift Amy: I'm so glad to see you here more often! I'm amazed how determined and diligent you have been without a check-in. Since my dh had to stop the X, the check-in has been instrumental in pushing me forward. You're a sweet mother! My kids are used to hearing me groan, moan and complain. :7 }( ;) I wouldn't be suprised if my kids need help as adults. ;-)

Debra-X: Oh! The description of your dining room sounds so classically, beautiful! LOL on the diva's orange and pink room. They grow up so fast! She sounds like the perfect Southern Belle! We only have a handful of fireflies this time of year; enough for eldest dd to catch a few. It's a magical time of year! Take it easy. Your workouts will be waiting for you till you are able to get to them.

It's already time for me to go! BBL for more personals!
Wendy

Phase 3/ Week 11/ Day 4/ Round 1

L&B+ARX

Well I made it through L&B again. I hope I don't end up sick tomorrow and have horrible DOMS. No way! I'm going to kick Kenpo's butt and like it:) DH is home today and I have to be shorter than usual. I plan to soak up some sun and take a swim today. My aunt lives about 5 minutes away and she has a pool. I love swimming and getting tan. I may not like the wrinkles in ten years but hey, I'll enjoy it while I can.

Traci-X, Well, bummer about the rain:( At least a couple of days away will be nice if you can get them. My DH and I have a Rottweiller/Lab That we got before we were married and he lived at his parents house and he is there now. His hips are getting really bad and he has trouble going on his walks now. It's so sad to see because he was such an active dog. Last year he saved my boys from a rattlesnake and was bit himself instead. I have a big soft spot for him now. Oh, no another DVD on my wish list, Absolute Kickbox:)

Tracy, LOL! I know what you mean about the nut intake. So small yet packed with goodness and lots of calories. I'm glad you got your machine all set up. I wish I could have one but I don't have a place to put it.

Swift Amy, I am the same way about working out when the kids are sleeping. Now that school is out I do it when they are watching a movie in their room. I am definitely working out harder now:)

Debra, I am so glad you are liking your new home. I am so envious of all the new paint and decorating coming from there. Have fun and get back soon. We miss you!

Laurie, Key Lime Pie:9, yum! Have a great evening out. I love those too, but they make me nervous. What to eat, what to eat? We're on the downhill now:)

Wendy, So glad you are feeling energetic today. I hated feeling bloated and tired in Phase 2. I am feeling much better in Phase 3. I get to have Thai food for my birthday in a few weeks. I am so excited. There is a great place about 40 minutes away and DH will take me:) Our anniversary is a week later and we might go to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse:9 I get to do Y4H in two weeks:)

Jeanette, Well at least you get to do the hill climb again in a little while. It's a bummer to train for one and then have the weather not cooperate. Glad Tillie is doing well. Read my post to Traci-X, I too have a soft spot for my dog:)

Cheryl, I am so glad your work is going well and your workouts. It sounds like life is treating you well as of late.

See you all later, DH is almost back home.

Hey, ladies!
Yes, we R SOOOO happy it's friday!!

Traci, sorry things didn't go as planned for the trip to the Bay, but sounds like you're in good spirits. Whooo-ee, what a workout! 94 minutes! I'm jealous!

Tracy, I'm laughing about the cashews. You sound so much like me it's not even funny. Let's see, cashews/workout, cashews/workout, cashews/workout.... I would probably avoid the cashews, work out, then be so famished I ate the cashews anyway, after the fact :) :)

Amy/Swifty, nice workout. Hurray on progress on legs, too. That's gotta feel nice. Good luck at work.

Debra, good luck with all the painting. What a nice upper. It sounds like you're settling back in.

Netta, we loved Man on Fire. Nice choice! Congrats on Jari's RTTC.

Laurie, nice workout! Mmmmm, good thing, from the sounds of that restaurant. Yum! Hope you have fun!

Wendy, wow, great workout! Especially the ARX... nice combo. Sorry your cough is still giving you fits.

Nicole, L&B is P90X, right? Looks tough. Yayy for nice DOMS!

This morning I almost took a rest day - but couldn't quite bring myself to do it and instead did Power Hour for the first time. Loved it! Definitely a keeper in the mix.

Traci, I agree with you on C&W - won another copy on eBay last night. HURRAY! Can't live without it. New one on the way.

Have a great Friday afternoon, everyone!!!
Cheryl

Back from the recruiters. Eldest ds took the practice test and aced it!!! The recruiter was more shocked than I was.:7 I always knew he was smart. He can diagram a paragraph long sentence in his sleep. And, he self taught himself algebra 2 and trig. Ds is what they would nickname an Alpha: able to pick any job he wants. Ds seemed pleased with his scores. It made me feel good when he told the recruiter that he learned a lot when he was homeschooled. He just needs some direction in his life! Boot camp wouldn't hurt him either!}( Maybe this will motivate him to find an interest and pursue it; be it in the reserves or in the private sector. The recruiter is showing him around some local units this afternoon. Don't worry, he isn't signing a thing! LOL

MC (middle child) will be coming home next week from a flight camp in Virgina. Looks like I won't have to worry about him needing motivation or direction post high school. Now, I can concentrate on youngest son and the girls. Disregard me ever saying I wanted more children. I don't think I have enough last nerves left to do the job properly!:D

Enough about my dc. Time for personals! :D

Jeanette-X: LOL about your grandmom crawling faster. I'm sure you weren't that slow! If you ever need to feel good about your riding skills, you can bike with me for an hour. Any more than that would bore you to death and cause cramps in my hiney down to my toes!!! LOL Your dh must have enjoyed spending time with you last night more than the movie. Phil is counting the clock down to TTOM. Poor guy. I kinda lost it last night about all the projects that need to get finished. The kitchen got put on hold for a busted sewer pipe repair. He was outside digging a trench when it started raining. He couldn't fix the pipe in the rain. So, on top of all the other chaos, I have a huge hole in my yard filled with sewer water.x( That's when I sorta lost it! I was one step away from walking out the door and not coming home until the kitchen was DONE! But, I would have missed you guys the year I was away! }( Well, you recommended a mountain bike. Which brand? What should I look for? I'd like to find a used bike if possible. Philly's craigslist seems full of them! Too many for me to choose.

{{{{Traci-X}}}} I didn't realize Sandy was that old and not doing very well. It must be heartbreaking to watch! I'll be keeping you and Sandy in my prayers!

Laurie-X: Enjoy your seafood dinner and pie. YUM!!! Unless I see the kitchen and how the scallops are stored, I avoid them. It only takes one bad scallop to ruin me for days!:( I never knew that beading took so much forethought. Gives me a whole new respect for those who can do it!!! I'm not paitent enough for it! I think that's why I enjoy embroidery. I can see progress immediately. Once you get your picturetrail set up, I'd love to see some of your beading work. I bet it's gorgeous!

Nicole: Girl! You are NOT a quitter! In fact, you're the most diligent Xer! I love your get up and go dedication! Hope you enjoy the Thai food for your birthday!!!! I'm blessed to have three Thai resturants nearby. Each makes their dishes differently. The one closest to me makes their dishes the traditional, like my mothers, non-American, way. At least they do for me since they know I'm Thai. LOL You're such a good wife remembering your anniversary ahead of time!:7 Enjoy a big juicy steak! You'll be celebrating recovery week by then! Wow on the ex bf. Isn't it funny how the older we get, the faster we can spot red flags!! Hopefully, our dc will seek our advice when they're contemplating a serious relationship. HA-HA like that'll EVER happen! I'm not sure why I disabled my profile when I first signed up. I think I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. I'm in PA about an hour's drive outside of Philly. It seems that I have the same sort of weather as Tracy and Laurie. I think we harped on you for so long about subbing. You're not a wee bit tempted to sub Eion for YogaX? Not a smidgen????}(

Cheryl: I can't wait to meet you on the RT. Glad you're doing so great!

I do believe Teddygirl might be getting a PC and a new profile name. Hmmmm????

Well, I'm going to hold off on yoga till eldest ds comes home. I don't want the recruiter coming inside while I'm in the middle of crane!

OH! ALMOST FORGOT! I do believe I was being checked out by a lady!!!!!!!!!! NOT LIKE THAT!:7 No! I think she was checking out my uterus!:7 We got to talking about doctors. She thought that I might have taken fertility treatments since I have twins. Well, then she tells me that she doesn't have any eggs, but would like to get a second opinion before she undergoes in vitro. Then she goes on to say that she wants the donor eggs from a Thai person and that she would pay. That was my cue to find a fast excuse and hurry out of there!!! Phil says NO WAY! I think I'm too old. I'm kinda partial to eggless Thai ladies wanting babies vs. just any eggless lady. Still, I think it would be too weird. I'll give her phone numbers to fertility doctors I know. But, that's about all I can give.:p :7

Off to clean up!

Ballistic HUGS to ALL!
Wendy

Wendy, Oh my! Hi nice to meet you can I have your eggs? ROFL!!! I can't say as if I've ever had that happen to me:)

SandraX, Where are you today? Busy with the girls I'm guessing. No maybe your making seitan:) Hope you had a good workout today.

Good evening!

Sure glad it's Friday. DH is out with a friend looking at dead trees to cut down. Thought I'd get out Christi Taylor's Stepsational and learn some more of it. It is so much fun. Movemaster really makes it a lot easier to learn. With Christi, there's no such thing as a 3-knee repeater, unless she's first easing you into a move. No, a 3-knee repeater would be too boring. She has to change it into something much more complex with turns, ponies, etc., which definitely keeps my mind occupied. For now, I'm doing it without risers as I stumble plenty anyway.

Traci, your poor Sandy. 16 is well on in years for a dog, especially a larger dog. It just breaks my heart to see my animals hurt so know that it's hard on you. Hoping that her day wasn't too bad.

Laurie, I'm going to check out the Fish Market place you ate at as you are probably in a different time zone than myself and way past dinner time. Hope you got to enjoy the seafood. Key Lime Pie sounds fab too. I got to have clam chowder on the coast on Sunday and that was pretty tasty too. I put in Rocky Balboa last night and DH said he'd already seen it. I sure don't remember seeing it. I must have started it for him one night and then went to bed. Man on Fire was really good. Love Denzel Washington. I think we will use Netflix more in the winter months than now. Need to see if I have anything left in my queue. Congrats on your last time doing Legs & Back. I certainly admire you ladies for sticking with P90X even though a bunch of us weren't doing it. I don't know what I would have done without all the motivation from this checkin.

Wendy, so glad your cold is leaving. Hate it when I get a cough and mucous, mucous, mucous that just won't leave. It's like, where does all that slime come from? Nothing like a good old coughing fit in the middle of a meeting at work. Believe me, I was VERY SLOW on the hill climb on that tough section. Hope you are okay with Phil. So frustrating to not have the house finished, but my gosh, he is sure the worker!!! Please don't leave us, I mean Phil LOL! At the rate my DH and I are going with our tiling job, the snow will be flying when we are laying tile. Will be picking it out tomorrow so I'm excited. Re: mtn. bikes, if it was me, I'd buy a decent entry level bike (like Debra did). We both have Gary Fisher Marin's. I bought mine new around 1999 and it was around $379. Think they are probably higher than that now. Most of the bike brands are pretty similar in price for entry level. Trek, Giant, Fuji, Gary Fisher, Iron Horse, Raleigh. If you have a favorite bike shop near you then I'd go with whatever brand they carried. If you find you like biking, then you can upgrade later. If you are going to ride on the streets or bike path, you can change your tires to smooth ones with no knobbies (smoother, faster ride). If you are going to be riding on dirt, then the knobbies can stay. You'll also need a helmet, bottle cages, water bottles, seatbag with spare tube, tire irons, patch kit, pump. Oh it's never just the bike, there's always all the stuff that goes with it. Just like when I was into horses. Not just the horse, then you have to get a saddle, horse trailer, pickup powerful enough to pull the trailer, goes on and on. Then a barn and arena. So really, a bike isn't so bad. Oh my gosh on the lady wanting you to provide an egg. Maybe she just should have asked you to be a surrogate mother and had you take care of it all. I'd have been blown away. I'm sure she said it in a good way as dang it, girl, you're looking good!!!

Nicole, I hear you about shorter workouts when your DH is home. I usually work out for about an hour right after he leaves for work at 5:00 a.m. I used to have to go to work earlier than I do now so I worked out from 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. So nice to not have to do that anymore. My DH thinks I'm somewhat crazy, but he's pleased with how I look from working out. If I ever started doing workouts that were way longer (while he was home), I think he would probably say that I have gone overboard on the exercise. Of course the biking is overboard when you are in the saddle for 7 hours, but he doesn't complain about that. He knows that whatever I get into, I jump into wholeheartedly and with a lot of enthusiasm. Just my personality I guess. Wow, that is something about your dog saving the kids from the snake! These pups are really something, aren't they? Yep, the wind sure plays a part in bike rides, good or bad. A nice tailwind would have been nice going up that steep hill. I might have actually hit 5 mph instead of 3.

Cheryl, I'm a cashew lover too. Dang, if I could just get the eating under control. I'll be 49 in November and sometimes I struggle with the "hey, I'm getting older and darn it, I'm going to have that piece of cheesecake." But of course, one leads to another and another. Got to put the brakes on it. I think Jari actually looks better in RTTC than in GR1000. She's pretty thin.

Well, I'd better finish this. Will get some kind of workout in tomorrow morning before we head to Reno.
