WORKOUT INFO Having a bit of a challenge getting in gear here… May or may not take until Friday afternoon (new series arrival) & call it an extended recovery week. Yesterday was day 7 of no w/o for me ;( but honestly I ate so poorly in CA that I was back in craving & false starvation mode all day as I got back to my regular eating…If I hadn’t been so darn busy all day I would have eaten my arm! IF I feel like a little something it will be a SJP circuit Mix because I love the music… Now theres a new way to set a fitness goal for the week! :7 I am hankering for Shiva but just can’t trust this shoulder yet but may do the hip opening sequences that don’t require any upper body. We shall see….

Didn’t get to see Lea last week ;( & looks like she was AWOL from here – hmmmmmmmm maybe she was dodging me? – Anyway- decided to not try and catch up with writing from last week but did read every line!

Nicole X!!! I see you are still battling that back… Thank Heavens you are taking it easy! … Oh wait- that’s ME taking it easy… ;-) Do we need to bring the Xer Brigade out to you?

Cheryl!!! Today I shall answer your wonderfully generous emails from pre-vacation! :* My word you are an angel! Your business must be in Rock & Roll mode! I am so happy!!!

Tracy X!!! So glad you were feeling better and brighter after a half day! You re-coup mentally much quicker than I! You sound just like my DH- He has taken 1 sick day in 28 years and cant understand why all his employees aren’t like him- I told him it isn’t normal!;-) LOL ~ ROF about high waisted pants.. I burned mine long ago- most unflattering style I think ever created! Excited to see what you plan for the new series rotation… I think I’ll *TRY* sticking with just that & yoga for a full 6 weeks using all the DVD options & mixes… Other than Tony I have never used the EXACT same strength DVDs for that long of a period- we’ll see. ~ Shoulder still not “there” yet but I am being a perfect patient this week. Its only been 17 days since I started with rehab exercises so I guess I’m just being impatient- it feels like at least 30 days already!

Sandra X!!! I can always count on you to just keep plugging away at those workout everyday! Don’t ya get tired? You really are the most active person in Canada! Are you a Cake Maker Graduate now? :9 What’s next for you??? PRINT BUSINESS CARDS !!!

Amy!!! Where ya been girl???? Hope you are just busy & sleeping! Is life flowing or out of whack now? MISS YOU:*

Jeanette X!!! High 5 on that consistent golf swing last night!:7 :7 :7 Funny that just about the time you’ll get hit with winter you are in a groove! I think DH’s next project should be an indoor putting green in the house! ROF on Sinful/Simple! I thought it was sinful too! I totally agree that its time to lean out and drop a bit of body fat before holidays… I am much mushier than pre injury so if I cant have muscle I have NO excuses to be over fat! DISCIPLINE time for this Xer!

TeddyGirl!!! Sounds like you and Ted are still in Honeymoon stage! Why else would you help with carpet cleaning?! ;) LOL – I am so happy that you are happy! Life is indeed meant to be good. What are your w/o plans for rest of month? Hope I didnt miss that part of your post...

Wendy X!!! I just never know where to start with you and your posts! RANT!? That wasn’t a rant that was a paragraph that I read 3x and STILL had no clue what we were talking about!:+ ROFL! I do hope you feel tip top soon- that trip is coming up quickly and it sounds like you’ll need all the energy you can muster… We don’t want you pushing your sister under an Asian bus and blaming it on illness!

Debra X!!! Doing the WAVE for your calves!!!!:7 :7 :7 I LOVE when my calves are hot hot hot! Tony’s 3-way weighted calf lifts are a staple for me since X days… My clients kinda cuss at me when I have them do them but they are all commenting on how well defined the entire calf is- who needs to be able to walk! LOL ~ Hope things are still moving forward with PT training & your meeting goes well today! ( and hoping that XDH is settling down) How is DD? Is she talking much about the situation? ~ take care of that tweaky back!

Laurie XX!!! What are the chances of getting that Carrot Soufflé recipe posted you talked about last week? }( See how long my memory is when food is involved? Hope grocery shopping gets done- an empty pantry is a sad thing!

Lea X!!! Hey girl!!!!!!! Where did you go the past few days??? Hope you and boys are happy & healthy - & DH too!!!!! The one time I thought I had a few minutes to call you my sister walked in unannounced and off we went…. I am going thru the entire perils of food detox again- the headaches are the worst part for me but much better this morning.x( It is SO not worth it to deviate!

Caroll!!! I’m just to jealous to write to you today:p

Swifty X!!! Gosh I can’t believe that DD can go back to school so soon w/ strep! I thought that was one of the most contagious things out there??? I hope she feels better soon. YOU GO GIRL on your bad-arss XX self! }(

Well thats it for this rambling fool this AM.... Hope to be back with a workout report of some sort later today... HUGGERS to all Xers and their families!

:7 :7 :7 :* :7

Hi all,

Yesterday I had a nice interval run. It's warm here again, but I felt good. Then I did a Yoga Shakti sequence from the matrix. My hips are definitely opening up.

Today is light upper body and legs. I'm not sure what yet. I'm in rotation limbo land right now.

Traci - I had to laugh at Wacky Doodle, since Doodle is what the kids have called me for years. You could probably do the hip opening sequence and even a back bending sequence. You have to balance the front and the back. I did two back bending sequences yesterday. They are not my favorite because they are so hard for me. Wheel? I'll probably never be able to do that!

Wendy - I have to agree with Traci, I never could figure out what you were talking about in the rant. Maybe the bacteria was affecting your brain, LOL! I hope you are feeling better.

Debra - By all means, send us some pictures of those calfs. You know we all understand!

Jeanette - Send us some rain or drizzle or anything. We just broke a long standing record for the number of days without rain; over 35. It is just horrible.

Hi to Sandra, and Swifty, and Amy, and Laurie, and Nicole, and Lea, where are you?

Have a great day!

Tracy

Waving hello before I start my busy day...I got a kick out of the "Wacky Doodle" too...We call our dog "the doodle" since she is a golden doodle...also because she is kind of dumb we call dumb people "doodles" too...especially ones that are driving too slow in the car in front of us!

Okay...off to take the diva to school then to the groomer (for the doodle) then to yoga then to my meeting...No calf pics today...But think of how strong they are getting by all my running around.

Later gators...I'll catch up with personals this afternoon.

Good Morning Xers!

This morning was Lower Intensity Step and it was fun :D The shoulder work was great! No dread factor for this one! Some great weighted calf work and innovative (as always) core work, too. I posted a complete review of High Intensity Step last night and I'll get one up for Lower Intensity Step in a bit, too. These are just the right amount of cardio and weights. I never used to like doing cardio and weights on the same day, but these are making me change my tune!!

I'm running late this morning so I promise to BBL for personals.

Carol

Hey, ladies!!!

Life is flowing (literally) and it's got me wiped out this week!!!

ATTENTION.....ATTENTION.....ATTENTION.....

We (DH and I) are the proud, new parents of a 2.8 lb baby kitty!!! We found him yesterday at PetSmart when we went there for a new electric litter box (#4). He's orange and white and his name is Peanut....because he's the color and size of one!!! He's the most adorable snuggle kitty!!!

I will be receiving my new Cathe's this Friday (at least according to the shipping notice) and I am excited!

I have a facial scheduled for today as well as a 'de-hairing' session....eyebrows, bikini line, and arm-pits. I think that I may stop by the nail place for a pedicure as well....if so, I need to get my workout in now!!!!!

Good morning,
Today was Butts & Guts Floorwork and abs/core. Tonite will be wood stacking if I don't procrastinate and wait until I have no daylight to see what I'm stacking.

Traci, sounds like a good plan to extend the recovery week until you are ready mentally. I just got my notice and I'll be receiving my new Cathe on Tuesday!!! Indoor putting green, hmmmm. I have seen those online. Also the net where you can drive balls into it so you don't have to use the range or risk hitting the neighbors windows. I'm really enjoying the golfing and the people that I'm playing with. No one is too serious about it. We just appreciate any good drives or putts right now, don't expect them all the time at our level. Can be such a humbling sport for sure.

Tracy, we won't share the rain yet as I think we've had many more rainless days than you have out here in the dry west. We desperately need a heavy snow season, though I hate driving in it. I should get my X-country skis out and try them. The last 2 times I tried them, my knees hurt for some reason. That was a few of years ago, before I started doing step and strengthening my knees. Maybe I can get my DH out on snowshoes this year. Now that can be a workout (snowshoes).

Debra, when we were in Hood River, Oregon in August, I got to see a Golden Doodle up close. So beautiful and wacky. Seems to be a great cross. My DH had a large poodle when he was a teenager. He said that was the best hunting dog he ever had. That dog would point at pheasants out in the corn fields of Oregon. Who'd have thunk? Have a great busy day today.

Carol, I really enjoyed your review of High Intensity Step and looking forward to your next one of LIS. Hear it has some tricky moves to it. Can't wait to get mine.

Amy, congrats on the new addition! Sounds like a real cutey!

Jeanette

Good Morning,

Rotation: S&H/week II
Am: Imax 2/completed
Pm: S&H chest back abs

I did get plenty of rest yesterday, in the bed early, no sleep tho, but I rested. I can’t wait till you guys get Cathe’s workouts, can’t wait to hear the reviews.

Debra: You are bad woman. I’m going to try to fit in as much cardio as I can. I should see how this works for me.

Tracie: Workout plans for the remaining of the month. I started a 3 day split with S&H series.

Amy: Peanut nice name. I bet he is adorable.

Morning Xers,

Rotation: LGI8 Week5/Day5
Workout: WFW Circuit Shaping / Yoga Zone Power Yoga for Strength and Endurance

Got the grocery shopping done yesterday. Now my children can eat. :D

Traci, LOL about the Wacky-Doodle. I love it. I can't wait for Thursday to arrive. And now that Carol has given us her review on OD I want to do the weight workouts. I was hoping that these would be more X like. :D Here is the Carrot Souffle recipe.

7 cups chopped carrot (about 2 pounds)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
Cooking spray
1 teaspoon powdered sugar (Optional I didn't use this)

Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook carrot in boiling water 15 minutes or until very tender; drain. Place carrot in a food processor; process until smooth. Add granulated sugar and next 7 ingredients (granulated sugar through eggs); pulse to combine.

Spoon mixture into a 2-quart baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until puffed and set. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Yield
8 servings (serving size: 1/2 cup)

Tracy, Ok so now I know that taking a half day is well worth it. I planned on taking a day off on Friday of next week. Maybe I should just take off two days. (Teacher convention) Get my house all nice and cleaned. Then get ready for my DD's confirmation. Would make for a less stressful weekend. :D
Sandra, I just chose MSB because I haven't done it in years. I made a commitment to myself that I would pull out some workouts that I haven't done in a long time. :D The workout was a lot of fun. :)

Jeanette, I have been checking out a lot of places for sports training on the web. Now I just need to call some of these places. I don't want them too far away. But it would be nice if they had a pool, since DD likes to swim also. I know that she has said that some day her and I will be doing a Triathlon together. :) This means that I have to learn how to swim better. Maybe we should be training together. :) Guess if we start doing this then DH and I will have to spend the money on a good bike for her. :D Oh the joys of staking wood. Don't miss that one bit.

Debra, Yep we are usually busy with the girls. :) I will be happy when Xcountry is finished. Then I won't have to stop in the middle of my workouts to pick someone up from school. :) The Tastefully Simple party was good. We bought some things that DD said she would eat. :) Apparently they are now shipping right to your house. That way they don't have to deliver everything to people.

Wendy, Hey you are entitled to have a bad day. And you have pnemonia on top of that. DH went to the doc yesterday because he had that wonderful cold, and still continued to cough (and I might add that it was annoying! :D ). He was given an inhaler because he irritated his lungs. Go figure.

Amy, I can understand the wiped out feeling. Today I actually feel really good. :) Congrats on the new Kitty! Love the name peanut. Sounds like you have a full day of making yourself pretty. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Morning all,

I had LIC scheduled for today, but decided to I "felt" like doing Cardio Fusion instead. I need my head examined. Anyway, it will be LIC tomorrow. CF was great, though. I'm glad I did it. I have to go do Motherly Things now. BBL,

Sandra

Tracy -- I'm glad you're feeling better today :D Mental health days are definitely worth taking!

Traci-X -- LOL! I do hope you get your eating and workouts back on track soon. It's so hard to get going again after vacation.

Wendy -- I think you should only WATCH the new ones for quite awhile until you're feeling MUCH better! YIKES! Rest up and I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon. LOL that you can't understand your own mother through her accent. How much longer until your trip?

Jeanette -- Cathe definitely goes heavy on this series, and it sounds like you're about ready to get back to that! I thought HIS was more complex and harder to get (especially the 3rd combo) than LIS, but that's just me and my two left feet ;-)

Sandra -- CF is so fun!! It's such a great workout!

Hi to everyone else! I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

Round2/Phase2/Week8/Day6/Shiva (subbed for YogaX) Not sure how long the session lasted but it was good and stretchy!

WoW!:7 Wild Wacky-Doodle Wednesday! My day off work. Much needed following DD being off school 2 days!

Tracyx, yes, it takes just 24 hrs. on the antibiotics and post no threat to others. DD was raring to go back to school! Totally know where you're coming from on the false starvation mode. I've lost those dizzy spells from consuming 1/2 bag of M&M's at a sitting. The clean eating is lovely feeling for me. Well, I cheat a little. I've been baking up a storm but using as little sugar, white flour, and fat as possible. Found a lovely breakfast cooky recipe with oats that is out of this world! DD even loves them. Enjoy your week of rest and healing!:p

Tracix, Shiva is so amazing isn't she? I really took my time and concentrated today. Chose movements from the matrix (tried to remember your suggestions to Debrax) and it was great! Backbends were a bit hard toward the end. Must get another block and band soon to see how far I can go. I see lots of practice in my future. Thanks for the recommendation. Yoga rocks!

Amy, welcome to peanut kitty! Allergies don't allow a cat here. ;( Will you have her declawed? Hubby is a cat lover huh? He must have a sensitive side for sure. Most men don't like 4 legged felines. :7 Just the 2legged kind.;) Mucho fun to you today while you get gorgeous!

I so want to see "Into the Wild" movie. Shucks! I just checked the listings and it doesn't start till Friday. D&*^%$! Anyone else interested in this flava of movie? I love personal stories of the oddly obsessed and strong adventure. I've seen interviews with Emile Hirsch (lead actor as Chris McCandless), Sean Penn director and Eddy Vedder, song writer on The Charlie Rose hour. After reading the book years ago, I don't see Chris as a hero, but as a young man with a strong conviction to be free, sadly not with tons of experience in or caution to consequences in the outdoors.x(

Heading to the shower now. Try to check-in later!

Hello to Sandra, Netta, Lea, TG, Wendy, Nicole, Debra!! And to all those I forgot- Mwah:*

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Rest week continues. I still do a pull-up or chin-up before walking in the bedroom!:7 I also feel the need to do a set of squats without weights first thing in the morning. Why first thing in the morning you ask? Because that's usually when I see my thighs naked! LOLOLOL

Traci and Tracy: You T-ladies are too nice!!!!! Basically, I was ranting about an argument I had gotten into earlier. Let's see if I can break the argument down.

Lady blames Sunday school teacher for not getting services a year sooner because the SS teacher kept her mouth shut by not telling her that her child was exhibiting odd behavior not typical for her age until she asked the SS teacher a year later after early intervention therapies started. (illogical deduction)

(Let the fight begin.) I call her on it with a series of questions. Okay, some may have been loaded questions in an effort to point out that she and her dh should claim some responsibility (if she feels the need to blame) because they ultimately LIVE with the child and the SS teacher sees her child maybe ONCE a week if that. Come on! The SS teacher is professionally unqualified. It's not her responsibility. And she doesn't probably doesn't want to offend by saying, "I think your dd is strange." (Not really, but you know what I mean.) I conclude my evaluation with stating: That it was harsh and unjust to blame the SS teacher.

Instead of backing up her deduction with facts or supporting evidence, she uses a couple of red herrings (dodges the root issue) by pointing the finger at me: I'm being harsh; I've slapped her. She further dodges my challenge with implied appeals to pity (Can't question a mother of a special needs child. That's cruel and harsh.) Wrong! Just because I may sugarcoat my words and relate to how difficult it is to raise a child with special needs doesn't get her off the hook and give her the right to blame the SS teacher.

She then tries to disqualify my credibility by using an ad-hominem attack: assumes that I don't have a child with special needs. Um, as we all know: WRONG answer! And, it's besides the point.

When she finally does try to explain her deduction with supporting evidence, it's a sad peek into her mind. She changes her story and basically says that the pediatrician wouldn't approve needed services because no one else notices her child is exhibiting strange behaviors except her and the early intervention workers. Um, yeah, right. The pediatrician won't listen to you and EI, but he'll listen to the SS Teacher? (I know that's a loaded question.) Now, if she would have said that the SS teacher was her insurance agent and wouldn't let her switch to another doctor, then I could see blaming her. LOLOLOL Well, it would have been cruel of me to pick apart her illogical thinking. So, I didn't. I do have some heart. Not really, I was just too tired. Instead I simply say that she should have gotten another pediatrician.

She then leaves in a huff claiming again I'm attacking her harshly. I point out that maybe I am attacking her. Hey, if it helps her sleep better. But, she made it soooo easy! So, I leave with saying that I don't agree with her thinking, and I think she's not logical. Cruel? Maybe. Harsh? Probably. Blunt? Definitely!

So, does that make my rant more understandable? She's crying foul. I'm playing hardball.

In the end, it didn't matter. She only clung tighter to her poor defense and probably considers me a Beeatch! All I wanted her to acknowledge was: The SS teacher wasn't to blame. And.....

It is what it is.

That's not true. All I wanted to do was tell her she's full of it. If I wanted her to agree, I would have sugar coated my words while stroking her with sympathy. I wouldn't. sigh.

Personals will have to wait until after homeschool. Lunch is over.:(

Ballistic Hugs!
Wendy

Hi Gals!

Ok I am officially the stubbornest Xer! :p My back is a mess! I feel like a puppet with legs separate from my body:( It's hard to sit here and type but I wanted to quick check up on you all. I have been trying to get into the doctor but to no avail:( I am going to the chiro on Friday since he has been out of town.

I did "Cardio Only" from C&W thinking I could make it through but now I'm even more sore:(

My back started to feel better Monday because I had taken two days off but I see now I need to take more. I am so afraid of gaining all my weight back and that's what keeps me working out even with pain. My thyroid is the bane if my life.

Ok, I'm done whining;)

Tracy, Thanks for the prodding, I really need it! Everyone around me knows that I don't quit or slow down so I feel I have a reputation to keep. Thanks for encouraging me to let it go:* How is life with no class? Do you wonder what to do with all your free time?:)

Traci-X, Glad you are taking time to recover. I hope I can let go enough to do the same. I think I have set a standard for myself that is so rigid and I find it hard to deter from it. Lucky you getting your DVD's Friday. I haven't even received a shipping confirmation yet:(

Debra, Can't wait to see those toned calves:) Enjoy your massage, maybe that's what I need:D

Amy, Congrats on the new kitty! So fun:)

Jeanette, Oooh, B&G floorwork! Glad you got that in. Is it getting too chilly to ride? The BBQ last weekend sounded great! Congrats & Happy Birthday to all:)

Carol, Way to go on sticking to it! You're doing awesome:)

Anointed, Looks like your keeping on track! Any fun plans for the weekend?

Swifty, Sorry you didn't get to see the movie you wanted, maybe next week;)

Laurie, Thanks for the recipe, I always love a new one:)

Sandra, Enjoy being motherly:) Both CF & LIC are fun. I am looking forward to doing all of those soon.

Wendy, Oh my, how fun;) I am the same way about standing up for people who are right and calling out those who are out of line. Way to go!

Ok, my back is now killing me! Gotta go,

Nicole

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

WHOOOO HOOOO!!!! My dvds are shipped. They're scheduled to arrive tomorrow!!!!:) :) :) :) :)

Gotta open another window for personals.

Wendy

Traci-X: LOVE the pictures!!! Who are ALL those people. I need Captions!!!:7 I do want to say that you and Wendell are a cute couple! Your forearms look hot in the one picture. Why are some of the pictures a bit grainy. Yes, don't worry about another rest day. Your shoulder needs time to heal. Shiva can wait for you to feel better. You could always do what I do, watch Shiva in bed and try to figure out what she's saying and how she's moving. Oh! I had a talk with sister. I told her that I wasn't going to let her ruin my vacation. If she gets into one of her moods, I was going to ignore her. I told her there would be plenty of time to fight when we return. LOL

Tracy-X: Yeah, it's warm here again too. What's up with this weather? I'm hoping it makes up its mind and chooses to stay warm!:7 I'm sure you'll make a wise upper body/leg workout for today. You're much better with rotation limbo than me!!!!

Debra-X: LOL on calling people Doodles! I can wait for pictures. I've got Traci's too look at for the moment.

Carol: I read your reviews on OD. Good reviews!!!! Maybe I'll try the Low Intensity Step this week. Yeah, it's hard to understand her over the phone. When she yells, it's almost impossible to deal with her! Much easier in person so I can watch her lips move.

Amy: Well, Hello my Flowing Sista! Congrats on the new arrival. I bet Peanut is adorable!!! Luke wanted to change Baby's name to Dinner. LOL Have fun getting pampered and pulled today.;)

Jeanette-X: Is the wood stove your primary means of heat during the winter? You guys are so diligent and good about preparing for winter. If I had to cut, chop and stack wood, we'd be frozen!!!!:7 You are more than welcome to join me, my dd, my mother and sister in Thailand. You can restrain me from throwing sister under the bus! LOL

TG: Did you read Carol's reviews of the new dvds on OD?

Amy-X: Hope you enjoyed your day off from work. I see you haven't emailed me any pictures of the reunion yet!:p :+ Please post the cookie recipe when you get the chance. Sounds divine!!!!:9

Laurie-XX: Ohhhh! Your carrot souffle looks like a keeper! Must try it before I leave. I hope the inhaler helps your dh's cough. I haven't noticed any difference with my coughs using the Advair inhaler. It's so nasty too. It leaves a powdery mess in my mouth. It's not enough to gargle and swish water around, I've gotta brush that stuff out!

Sandra-X: I hope one of the motherly things on your to do list included kissing dd's adorable cheeks!!!! LOL on switching from LIC to CF. I would have done the opposite if CF was on the schedule! LOL

Nicole-X: Oh Nicole! Get thee to a doctor ASAP! We don't need you on the IL forever!!!! Now, I can't imagine you being as mean as me. But, I can see you telling people how it is with love.:* This would be me: Stop working out! You're a MESS! This would be you: Oh, dear, you should probably take a rest day. You work so hard and do so much. You deserve it. Whichever approach you like better, I don't care. Just take a break!!!! :p :7 ;)

Hi to everyone I've missed. Gotta go and order take out.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Thanks Wendy:) You must be taking over for Sergent Sandra:D

Traci, Love the new avatar!!!!!! Wendell looks like a sweetie:)

My DVD's will be here on Tuesday:D:D:+

Hi all,

Nicole please take care of your back. Your symptoms sound way too similar to mine. Unfortunately, I couldn't sit for weeks. Please don't let it get that bad.

Tracy

Hi there everyone! I had a good day here...Had my yoga class this morning...I really like my instructor...He is so knowledgeable about your body structure, he does a great job explaining how to get into the proper position. Although the class definitely moves slowly...You do hold the poses for a long time once you get into them...and you really have time to adjust your form. I can already see how that translates into my home yoga. I was in this pose today and the lady beside me said, "It's not fair! You don't look like you are straining at all!" That made me feel pretty good since, although she is older, she has been a regular in this class for a long time.

Let's see...then I had my appointment with the PTA director which went fine. I actually have more classes transferring from my previous bachelor's degree than I thought. It will still be another year and a half before I can get into the program full time...If I even get in...they only take 24 students per year. I am going to have to get through 2 physiology/anatomy classes plus 2 physics classes...plus a communication class (the only one that sounds remotely easy) and then at least 20 hours of observation...but I will probably do a lot more than 20 hours since you get more credit for doing more...I am sure I will need all the help I can get!

After getting done with all of that I did CTX chest and Shiva's hip opening section. My legs are pretty darn sore from Tony yesterday. But my calves are feeling good...LOL!

Okay...now for some personals...

Traci...It is always he!! coming back from vacation. Between the poor eating habits and lack of exercise...your poor little body is have a hard time adjusting. I did Tony's calves on a step yesterday...which I seem to feel more and at the same time seems to keep my feet more stable. XDH is still crazy as a loon...and I am kind of dreading the end of the week since one of his coworkers (and best friend) was back in States last week...and I am sure he heard from his wife that I have seen an attorney and that I have been out on a few dates...I hope his friend doesn't blow any of this out of proportion since XDH will go ballistic. DD is taking everything better than you would expect her to. Thanks for asking about her. I bet your babies were so excited to see you home!!

Tracy...It cracks me up that your kids call you Doodle! Hope you had a nice workout this evening, no matter what you end up doing. I guess your new running shoes are working out well.

Carol...Very jealous you have your workouts...I may not wave at you anymore...LOL!

Amy...So glad you have a day of pampering ahead...All girls need that every once in a while! So glad you have a new baby to dote on. We are thinking about getting a kitten too...Although that will really put my older cat through the roof.

Jeanette...Grasshopper...get busy with that wood! Day light is a wasting! Seriously...I think it is more important that you work on your golf swing. I bet that wood will still be there when you have the time to do it. My XDH also had poodles when he was a teen. My doodle is incredibly sweet...wouldn't hurt a fly...she may eat a cricket though! She is just a sweet, big, goofy dog who loves everyone.

Teddygirl...Ted must be keeping you busy...we don't hear from you as much anymore...Good to see you fly by!

Swifty...Glad DD is feeling better and is back at school. Kids always get so bored at home even if they are sick! I haven't done Shiva's backbends yet...I would probably not be able to get up after!!

Laurie...Thanks for the recipe! Hope those girls don't keep too busy to workout tonight!

Sandra...Waving as you fly by on your way to be a good mother.

Wendy...I have a long post for you...but I am too tired right now to do it...I promise a long note tomorrow. You crack me up, though, with your tirades!

Nicole...I know it is difficult not to workout...but your body is screaming at you to take a few days as a break. Yes, a massage would help. I also think that yoga would be fine as long as you had someone coaching you through it. Other than that and seeing your doctor...nothing for you!! Listen to Tracy. She is the voice of experience on this subject!

Okay...gotta run...I am very, very, very, sleepy. I have my DL test first thing in the morning...and then I am hoping I have time to workout before my massage...If not the workout will have to wait until the afternoon. Sorry for the typos...too tired to check!

kisses to all!

Debra

Hi Doodlers,
Never got around to stacking the wood after work. I had to run into town, then decided to stop by and visit my parents and grandma for a little while. DH was waiting to help me winterize the trailer and when we got done with that, it was getting darker outside and the house was warm. Was easy to talk myself out of stacking. Again. Golf tomorrow night so it will have to be Friday. Promises, promises.

Carol, I enjoyed reading your review today on OD. What will you be doing tomorrow? Can't wait to hear! Yep, I'll be going back to heavy, but modifying for my right elbow.

Swifty, hope you enjoyed your day off from work today. I'm looking forward to next week taking a couple of 1/2 days: 1/2 a day to play golf on Monday and 1/2 a day to be here while the carpets are cleaned. Into the Wild sounds familiar, but I can't really remember what it's about. Can you tell me?

Laurie, the carrot souffle sounds yummy. I was thinking the pumpking muffins that were posted on the OD sound good too. Triathlons are pretty exciting! I wish I could swim better or I'd do another one in a heartbeat. My first (and only) triathlon experience wasn't too good swimming wise. I forgot that I used to swim well back in 5th grade. Been many moons since I've hit the pool. Anyway, I didn't finish the swim and had to go back to the shore. But... I did get to do the bike and run and had a blast! I also was on a team triathlon relay this year, where I got to do just the bike. Really, really fun! Oh come on, don't you want to finish stacking that wood for me. I's really, really fun too. Just like a toothache.

Nicole, I feel so bad that your back is terrible. Friday can't come soon enough, can it? I'm so hoping he will be able to help you out. Here lately, it's been windy when I get off work, though there is enough daylight right now to get a ride in. Golf takes up 2 days so basically, here lately I've only been riding on Sundays. We have a really nice "Annual Fall Color Ride" scheduled for Sunday in a neighboring valley (Indian Valley). I really love that ride. So many pretty leaves to look at, rolling little hills to climb and curvy, quiet country roads.

Wendy, yes, our wood stove is all that we heat with in the wintertime. I wish we had an oil stove or something for backup. That way, we'd be able to go somewhere in the winter instead of having to keep a fire in the house all the time to keep the pipes from freezing. I hope your sister behaves herself. I really want you to have a fabulous time, even without me!!! Someday, I'd like to ride bikes in Italy or France, drink wine, eat fabulous dinners, drink lots of coffee. You get the picture. Of course I do all of those things here, but you know, the grass is always greener... Are the antibiotics kicking in?

Debra, I'm so happy that you agree that my golf swing is more important than keeping warm this winter. You are a girl after my own heart. I loved the Golden Doodle that I saw in Oregon. I would consider a dog like yours and think DH would like that breed/s too. Your massage reminds me, I'm getting a massage and a facial in early November with DS's girlfriend (we're going in together). I'm so looking forward to it!!! Get a good night's sleep tonite and wishing you well on the Driver's License test!! You can do it (voice like Arnold)!!!

Hi, everyone!!

So sorry to be AWOL for a few days - it's been a crazy time - but had to check in to see how everyone's doing.

Traci, welcome home!!!!!! So glad the vacation was wonderful, and I'm sure you'll feel like normal again very soon! And I'm sure it was worth it, every bit!!

Tracy, yes, mental health days are the best!! Always a good idea, whenever you can get one.

Nicole, watch that back, girl!! You have me a little worried - but yes, your insistence on working out makes you a girl after all of our hearts.

I've been working out hard all week - extra cardio every day - and eating has been crystal clean. I can look forward to staying home until Nov 12 now (YIPPEE) so life is looking quite good.

Can I just say I can't wait for the new workouts??? Mine don't get here until MONDAY. I was too cheap to pay for expedited shipping when I pre-ordered. What was I thinking???? x( x( x(

Have a wonderful night, everyone!
Cheryl
