Hi everyone! How are you all doing?
TraciX - how's the recuperation going? How's your lower body doing with your new assault? I'm curious how you liked BM2 today? I know your attention span doesn't usually allow for you to do an entire 96mins of the same workout
.
NicoleX - My friend, take care of your back!! Pleeeease consider taking a few days off in order to prevent having to take weeks or even months off from serious injury.
WendyX - Why, you appear to be acting as someone who is doing another round of P90X!! Is Phil joining along this time, again? I'm excited to read that you've entered the Land of Unassisted Pull Ups! Between that and the levitation holds you learned to do, you're kicking butt. When do you leave for Thailand?
DebraX - Oh dear, things are sounding very stressful for you right now. I cannot express how impressed I am that you continue to do serious, consistent workouts when going through so much turmoil.
Enjoy your massage.
JeanetteX - Is cycling season winding down? Do you plan to join the Garage Boys again this year? Or has the Golfing World fully engulfed you now?
TracyX - How is the busy professional in our group? Is your morning yoga/evening workout schedule working magic for you? Did you see the desired changes in your lower body that you'd hoped for, with your last rotation?
LaurieXX - Do you plan to do a 3rd round of the X?
Amy - Are you enjoying solid food again? Did you accomplish what you'd hoped with your shake-month?
Anointed - I'm not following everything that's going on these days, but I see frequent references to Ted. I hope it's all good.
Here's a huge shout out to Cheryl, AmyX, LeaX, Carol!!
We went to Jasper last weekend (national park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains) and spent time hiking through mountains. Lovely, lovely time. The kids had a blast.
I'm doing another week of the SH series, but this time I'm combining it with the CTX series. By the end of the week I'll have hit every muscle group 2x (legs 3x), and done some cardio each day. I'm pairing the SH and CTX weight work in a push-pull fashion. My week looks like this:
MON: SH Legs; CTX All-Step (incl. shoulders & abs)
TUES: SH Triceps; CTX Kickbox (incl. biceps, planks & abs)
WEDS: SH Chest; CTX Power Circuit (incl. back, planks, & abs)
THURS: SH Biceps & abs; CTX 10-10-10 (incl. triceps)
FRI: SH Shoulders; CTX Leaner Legs (incl. abs)
SAT: SH Back & planks; CTX Step & Intervals (incl. chest)
SUN: rest
I may do the same thing next week with SH and the Body Blast Timesaver workouts.
Can you tell I'm more than ready for the 4-Day Split?! In the mean time, I keep thinking about P90X, but I'm forcing myself to hold off on that until I've had a dose of the 4-Day Split. Plus, my elbow still needs to improve before starting all those P90X push ups and pull ups. With the help of Ibuprofen, the lump has gotten much smaller, but it's still there. I may go see a doctor soon just to make sure this really is just an inflammed bursa sac, and not something more serious.
Thank you sooo much to everyone who commented on my cakes! To answer Wendy's question (I think?), the flowers on the basket-weave cake are made from Royal Icing, which is very stiff, and dries hard. You make them days in advance, then just position them on the cake when it's ready. The basket weave didn't take very long at all, which is probably why it's a bit sloppy in places
I need to practice my patience. I've frozen that cake, and we'll probably eat it when my parents come for a visit in a couple of weeks.
Cheers!
