Xers........Typical...............Tuesday

Phase 3/ Week 11/ Day 2/ Round 1

PlyoX

So glad to get some cardio in. The last sweat fest was PlyoX last week. But hey, throwing up and not eating have to count for something. I guess we're looking for negative calories to lose weight and I definitely did that:) Another warm day here so I am hiding inside. I only lay out every other day so as not to get too wrinkly:)

Tracy, Don't you just love sweating a ton? I'm glad you had a good run. We had a great time on vacation. So much so, that we'll probably go again next year. I think this year was kind of an exploratory trip and next year we'll be pros:) Good news, only took 15 minutes at the DMV! I think that's a record:)

Traci-X, Such fun sounding workouts! Of course, I'm not doing them now, but it sounds fun:) I'm right there with you on the bra situation. I know my body fat is low when my boobs are sad little bumps disguised as breasts. I get happy because my body fat is low but sad because I have nothing to fill my bra:( I have steared clear of the boards since starting this check-in. I used to get so worked up at the "advice" some people would give. I'm sure with all of your training you get worked up to. Carolyn has had my blood boiling a time or two.

Debra, Way to go on maintaining! I'm glad you're almost moved in. I'm so excited to see the new pictures!!!! Miss you and hope you'll be back full time soon:)

Swifty, How wonderful to have such an energetic DD. So many kids these days don't even want to play outside anymore. When we went to Yellowstone and went hiking we were so proud of our DS's. We hiked up one trail that was 7 miles round trip and 2000 ft. up in elevation. There were adults who couldn't do it but the boys did awesome!

Laurie, I have to look at my sheets to see my improvements. I hope it's better. I can do a lot more push-ups now as well. My back sure gets sore but I hope it will work itself out when I'm done:) Way to go sticking with it!

Wendy, You sound just like I felt in Phase 2. I think my mini beak helped me get pumped for Phase 3. It feels a lot better then Phase 2 that's for sure. How nice to get picked up on. Makes you feel good, hah? I haven't had that for a while but in San Diego I have a lot of competition:) Needless to say I didn't do doubles either. I have to take it "easy" these last few weeks:)

Cheryl' Are you always so organized? I just get that feeling when I read your posts. I'm glad you make time for yourself and have your priorities set. Good luck with the longer workouts. I can't wait to get back to that again:) Hey the X just isn't for some people. If I didn't have all of these great people supporting me I might have stopped a long time ago.

SandraX, How wonderful that you are decorating cakes! I have always wanted to work with fondant. It looks so beautiful but labor intensive that's for sure. I love taking baking classes to improve my skills. I have always said that I want to be a baker and a personal trainer when I grow up:) I figure it's a good mix because I can work off the baked goods!LOL!

Amy, I'll keep your DH in my prayers.

Jeanette, Where did you go? I miss reading your posts and hearing about all of your fun rides. Hope we didn't scare you away!

See you all tomorrow,

Nicole

Hi all,

I ended up doing MM upper body split with some extra push ups and 5 rounds of pull or chin ups. My forearms were so pumped it felt like old X back and biceps days. Then I did Tone and it was hard for the upper, but legs felt great.

Swifty- I have the memory of an ant. I can't hardly remember what I ate for dinner last night. I usually open up a Word document and go back and forth. It corrects my poor spelling too.

Nicole - I love a good sweat. I probably went 5 weeks without breaking a good sweat and it just felt so good when I could finally work hard enough to get one going. I truely do feed off of the endorphins and the biking has let me push as hard as possible and not stress my back. Thank goodness for bicycles. Of course, the running has improved because of the cycling. I no longer get so stiff in the back and hamstrings. We've driven cross country the last 5 summers and are going again this year. We have had soooo much fun and seen so many things. Last year we did 10000 miles in 3 weeks. It was wonderful. I'm in the process of trying to figure out where we'll be heading this year. We only loosely plan and then just wing it. This year will probably be Vermont, NC, then on to probably CO.

Well, older DS said he'll put my eliptical together, so off to get a shower and help him.

Later gals,

Tracy

Hi Gals- DH offered to go mow the WET grass since it may NEVER stop raining – so here I am! We were dry until 3pm when I had scheduled the big mow…… best laid plans! We are getting between 2-4 hours a day of good hard downpours.... MUD everywhere... The saving grace is my house is 90% ceramic tile.

STILL LOOKING FOR JEANETTE-X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where’s our gal?????????? Did we miss a post????

Swift Amy: Fun when your “doubles” is a great activity with DD! Good for you! Doubles was not easy the few weeks I did it. LOL on implants… I am one of those crazy gals that actually prefers smaller “girls”. I have never been comfortable with large ones… I thinks its because men stop talking to your face! Have fun with L&B tomorrow!

TeddyGirl: the good thing about over indulging is that with a little hard work the damage gets undone…. I don’t think you stress too much about that stuff- wish I were more like you ! I LOVE LIC as well! Actually the entire last series is just exceptional imo! Congrats on the scale! What a nice gesture!!! JumpSnap looks interesting enough but I doubt I’d stand there jumping for 30 minutes regardless of the gadget…. YOU GET IT & share!

LaurieX: Hope that new color is BEAUTIFUL! I am waiting til end of summer to color- it all just gets bleached out at the bay anyway… LOL on subbing! OF COURSE you will be a double XX’er…. I don’t think any of us DIDN’T sub at some point round 1! You are still the Queen my dear! Hold planks forever? I bow to the oh Queen!

Wendy: ROFL about the bike “ride”! You can tell I have no children…. My first reaction was OH SH** The car! LOLOLOL I think all your hardships the past few weeks has played with your mental ability to LOVE X rd 3… No worries… The good part about exercise is that even if you don’t like it you will see results if you DO IT! You will in no way NOT look awesome! You already do!!! Shake those cobwebs from your brain and full steam ahead! We are the Xers! That’s the mantra! If Tony shows up call me & I’ll hop the first plane out!

DebraX: CONGRATS on the scale holding! Hows the poochie? Was she traumatized?

Cheryl: WOOHOO on your strength with PUB! AMAZING what the diff is when we eat enough of right foods isn’t it? LOL on selling Tony! My heart is so sad…..

Sandra X: How TOTALLY cool is this cake thing!?!?!? I see you doing GRAND things in the future!!! Will ya ship me one to taste? Chocolate PLEEZE! FABULOUS news about your project as well. YES life is in a good flow right now…. No one deserves it more. Those first cakes are absolutely ADORABLE! Do DD’s get all excited? Who is taste testing? Cake is my most favorite food group! I watched the Cake Baking Challenge on Food Network this past weekend and MAN is it hard stuff working with that Fondant! I’d be throwing it across the room in minutes!

Nicole: LOL on DMV! Isnt it just the most exhausting experience! Glad you survived and its behind you now. Lol on the boards…. Its really not a safe place to visit daily for me. When I can “sense” a sarcastic tone in a post it ticks me off… Just don’t post if you have nothing productive to add I say… I think I must have been raised like TracyX- If ya cant say something nice….. ANYWAY… At least here I know that if I need a *thump* it is done with respect and best of intentions.

Amy: Hope lower body was GREAT today! Smart move putting it early in the week. What type of rotation are you doing these days? CONGRATS on shrinking woman! Spit on that scale- IT LIES!

TracyX: I put L&G Extreme on my rotation – a couple of weeks from now I think… It IS one of the finest lower workouts in my collection. Hope you are starting to “enjoy” your floor work a bit more…. I’m not but I’m doing it! CONGRATS on the new arrival!!!! Will you stay up all night playing?

See ya all in the AM! Its nice to have everyone back but I do miss our Bike Mama!

Hi again everyone -

Don't think I could have sold Tony if I hadn't known the Cathe pre-order would start... and I did have DH burn me a copy of ARX before I packed up the box ;-)

But here's some of what I bought - the Title 9 Sports Paradigm tank and Just Right Runners pictured below the tank top. I got 3 of the tanks and 2 of the shorts. A pretty good exchange, eh? No?????

Sandra, great workout!! Gonna have to pull out Cardio and Weights again, so many people love it.

Wendy, doesn't sound like you're too much a fan of the X right now either... ;-) We all have those days!

Amy, I'm sure your scale gain is muscle. It has to be if your size hasn't changed and your profile has actually improved }( }( }(

Amy/Swifty, I look forward to meeting you at the RT too! Did you see the form today? I just filled mine out and e-mailed it back in. This will be so much fun.

Nicole, amazed you could do PlyoX while not feeling your best. Kudos!

Tracy, love that MM - especially the ab section - it's one of Cathe's hardest, I think.

Well, have a great night, everyone!!
Cheryl

Everyone's probably asleep or watching the BET awards. :)

My chatty Xers are back in FULL force!!! I'm waiting a bit to press play. Phil still needs to install the air conditioners. He's busy right now putting a new exterior door in the kitchen. We discovered the old door was rusted out at the bottom when he moved it higher to accommodate the tiles. I think we, I mean PHIL, just built ourselves a whole room from scratch!!! The only thing we didn't replace was the window! Anyhow, we'll be up to the wee hours of the morning. I won't let him hang a sheet for a door while I sleep. Hey, before Traci calls me a slave driver, I did NOT tell him to put the door on tonight. He could have waited till this weekend to install it. But, he wanted to start on it since it's holding up progress.

Can you tell I'm procrastinating!

OH! SANDRA!!!!! I need a naked double! No! Not for Phil! Ha-Ha It's for Kenpo!!! I got huge blisters on the soles of my feet below my big toes from doing Naked Kenpo on my bedroom carpet. It was the first time I worked out in my bedroom. I didn't feel like kicking the kids off the X-box. So, you can just pull yourself away from Brad and tell Angelina that one of your X-Sisters needs you more than her. ;-) Isn't it great that you found something that can make you feel passion. Cake decorating is so much fun! I have to take a look at your creations ASAP. I can't take a day off to relax. When would I ever finish the X if I took a day off whenever I wanted? How's that for a rhetorical question! LOL Oh! I love your workout for today! Cardio and Weights plus a circuit of push/pull ups! I want you as my body double for the Road Trip! I could just go to chat and you could do all the workouts in my place. That way, everyone would think I'm strong and tough! ;-)

Nicole: Stupid question that I should know, but my brain isn't cooperating... What is the DMV? Division of Motor Vehicles? I checked out your picturetrail vaction pics! Sooooo Cool!!! Loved the pictures of Wes sleeping and him holding onto you for dear life. Y'all tuckered him out! You guys looked like you had so much fun. The scenery is gorgeous!

Teddygirl: Yes, I've got six children. :) It's actually easier with all of them than when I only had two except when my youngest ones were born 4 months early. My youngest are identical twin girls. They are so easy to take care of now. They are so well behaved. My gf thinks they never sin. LOL I don't have BBC. Thinking of getting it though. However, I'd rather build up my Cathe collection first. Not enough $ to spread the love yet.

Amy: Sounds like all your hard work is paying off. You are getting muscular and tight! You deserve it too! With taking care of your dh and paitents at work, you must be close to becoming a saint. You shame me with how much you do and still find the time to workout!

Tracy: LOL on your son riding again. Kids are so much resilient than adults! The thrill of going downhill wipes out all memory of the hard work from getting up it. I don't think I'm seeing things. I purposefully have stayed off the scales these past couple of days because I can see my gut pushing out and the way my clothes fit. I'm okay with how I look. But, I need to really bring it on or else invite Aunt Flo for an early visit if I want to see any positive changes this phase. Keep me updated on your next round of the X. I just may join you depending on Phil's workout status. He wants to start a new round as soon as the kitchen is finished. Which might be a year from now. LOLOLOL Keep the gray strip of hair. If my hair only went gray in strip, I'd keep it. But, my hair is predominately gray around the frame of my face and scattered randomly everywhere else. I started going gray when I was 16. So, I'm waiting for it to be close to 100% gray. When that happens, I'll stop coloring my hair. I guess I can't be that vain. Cheap would be a better description. ;-)

Swift Amy: LOL on your memory and boobs. Are you posting on Internet Explorer? I open another window and toggle back and forth for personals. One window will be opened to the checkin and the other (smaller window) will be open for me to type my post. If I'm on AOL, I open up write mail, resize the write mail box, and toggle back and forth between the mail and checkin. When I'm done, I copy and paste my personal into a post. ^^5 on riding 15 miles up hill! You've got a lot of them in your area!

Traci-X: Wendell is such a KEEPER! Oh! I'm totally with you there! My car was my FIRST thought too!!!!!! Does that make me a bad mother? :7
If you and Tony show up at my house, I'd hold you both hostage and make you work on my kitchen.}( Tell Wendell not to worry, there'd be NO hanky panky allowed.:p I think I have enough supervising experience from having teenagers. ;-)

Cheryl: Did you read both of my posts to you??? LOL I'm chatty tonight! You are forgiven! Those are CUTE outfits worthy of X-funds. :)

JEANETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED YOUR EXPERTISE!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU???????????? COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm off to push play. Procrastinated long enough!

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy

Wendy, Department of Motor Vehicles. I thought it was the same in every state:) Silly me, couped up in CA too long:) You are a little slave driver, aren't you? Sounds like lots is getting done around there! I hope it's close to picture time.
