Where’s Alan Funt? (For you young’uns- That’s Jamie Kennedy!)
FIASCO with dogs yesterday – I kept looking for camera I swear!

2 hours after dropping off kids I get a call that pleads for me to come help shave my girl! She is HALF shaved (literally) and has decided she’s done- won’t let anyone go near her – not biting mind you (she’s my angel) – Just barking and whimpering…. NO they didn’t hurt her but mommy goes flying to Petsmart in tears and pulls DH out of a meeting- (He’s no happy camper with me!)…. We both end up petting, kissing, talking, ear rubbing, booty rubbing etc…. while the groomer completes the job at hand….ALMOST- Sandy doesn’t want her to go below the torso to be shaved or near her neck…. SO I have two perfectly groomed boys (the goldens) & one partial …. She looks RIDICULOUS! So how long was this “suppose to be a wonderfully ALONE day for mom?” – from 7am drop off to 2:45pm arrival home with the 3! NOT A PLEASANT HH LAST NIGHT! DH is ready to ship both me & MY dog outta here!!! (See if you can tell how SILLY in new pic)…. I sent a pic to both my moms and my MIL writes back- Why did ya do that – they’re ugly- MEAN WOMAN!

Ok on to finer things in life- Like Tony and the Xer Gals!!
Doubles / Ph 1 / Week 2 / Day 5/ Rd 2
X: Yoga (mix of Yoga X & Eoin Finn/ Daily Dose of Bliss) + ARX (yep- no sub today!)
Cardio: Timesaver 4 (Kick)

*WENDY
Since you never came back I can assume the sink & faucet shopping took a bit longer than expected?... So do you recommend Kenpo barefoot? I wouldn’t see a proble with that actually- The crews shoes are more like little fashion expressions anyway- hardly any support from what I can tell… I may have to consider that- If I break my ankle will you come & clean/remodel my house?

*KATIE
So todays the big start day???? OMG OMG OMG… I’m so excited for you!!!! Details details!!! Which program????? What’d ya think????? Are you in love yet?????? DO TELL!!!! The soup recipes are good – but I love soup (just ask Sandra)…. TRY IT ALL! Experience the full Tony Flow….. You sound like a daredevil!!! What about Pics & Measurements???? Even if you don’t publish them DO THEM! I was so mad at myself for no pics first time around! I looked so different 3 months later- but had no pics to share….that’s why I humiliated myself this round and posted.

*SANDRA
I’m stoked about new workouts too! The 4 day split is a MUST HAVE for me – the others I’ll get of course but the split is PERFECT !!!!!!!!! I agree- I believe 2007/2008 will be the completion but dog0gone it I don’t care! I’m stoked! The only thing I’ll have to do this time (if a presale occurs) is STAY AWAY from boards…. It got so ugly, hostile & petty last time (my first experience) that I almost signed off permanently. It really just broke my spirit reading all that nastiness & “entitled to” cra*. Well I do appreciate you sharing the secret to lifting heavier every week… those little arrows! Hell- if I knew that’s all I had to do I’d be lifting 100#s (like you & TracyX)… Even this weenie can make an arrow! Seriously- I’m very very happy & proud that my fellow Xers are so danged strong! OMG on cathe/Tony Roadtrip! I’d sell my biceps to attend that one!!! Maybe a private roadtrip for the Xers????? Yeah- I’d like that better…. Would we have Peanut Butter for Cathe and put dollar bills in Tonys shorts????? BTW: WHY oh WHY is Yoga day AFTER Shoulders day???? My shoulders are always fried after Sh&Arms but then ya gotta turn around and do all those downward doggies?? Does it build muscle or character? Your Fast day sounds like more fun than my regular eating day! LOLOLOL- Did I FORGET to mention the low/no workout day???? Heheheheheh sorry! Your career is ready to take off woman! Get those revisions & edits completed and go save the world OK? Maybe you’ll get a job where you get to come to Houston for a meeting or class or something…I’d be so excited to have you over for dinner!

*JEANETTE
LOL on the waiting game! Isnt that a pooper? All excited and cant do anything with that energy…. SO HAPPY YOU GOT THE NEW STUFF!!!! WooHoo! What did DH say? What’s this? DH didn’t help pick it out???? Can I marry him too? I’ll snoop out a good deal on Shiva – Is there a particular DVD title that’s really good?

*TRACY
So how was that 20th Bithday??? Does DS feel all grown up now? Hope you guys had a blast and that the “un-clean cake” was YUM-O!

*LEA
Happy you are finding a workout schedule that’s works for the family… I just don’t know how moms do it all! LOL on MW in NoPudge… I took my MIL (aka: MW Mom) a few Easter Boxes of NP – She didn’t seem all that into putting in the yogurt…. You get my drift…! Glad to see you back and posting a bit- I KNOW we take a lot of your time but dang it Lea- We’re worth it!! lololol

*LAURIE
^5 on digging out some Kathy Smith! I love her lower workout- Functionally Fit- Great 30 minute all standing… I like her Project You cardio too for lite/recovery days. Good for you blowing off the dust! You sound like you are enjoying running consistently again… Is your stamina OK doing doubles? I’m feeling great as long as I modify Cathe cardio and keep it 30-40 minutes… Daily is OK for me that way. GREAT JOB ON EATING!!!!! I’m pretty darn impressed!

*TEDDYGIRL
How was Day 1?????? I cant wait to see how long you stick with this girl! Just think of the character building it will do if you really stick with the plan! – Ya know I’m messing with you…. So happy you’re all better (or almost better) and that you are feeling feisty once again… Now heres the deal with lifting…. VERY VERY challenging to lift a heavy dumbbell or do a push up if ya got chocolate and/or ice cream in your hands…. LOVE YA!

*DEBFER & *AMY – Hope all is well on your end- missed you yesterday

All caught up from yesterday….. Sending Hugs & ^ 5’s to all the awesome gals in Xer land!

Hi all,

My son requested a lemon meringue pie for his birthday, so I was busy making that yesterday. It takes quite a bit more time than a cake, but it sure was good. I increased the recipe by half, made it deep dish, with lots of meringue.

Yesterday I did the following upper body workout;
Regular pushups, diamond, tricep, and decline 2X30, 1X20, 1X10, and then pull/chin ups between sets. I can still do a few unassisted pull-ups and several unassisted chin ups. If I wasn’t tentative with my back, I could probably do more, but I didn’t want to push it. I’m happy with that. Then I did about 40 minutes of yoga.

Today is again some light cardio, planks, and light leg weight work. I had a bad day yesterday because in the morning, I twisted my back wrong in the shower and that set off a nerve explosion that caused pain most of the day. I probably pushed too hard on the yoga the day before. I refuse to let it stop me from continuing my rehab process, but I must admit that DOMS is a lot easier to tolerate than straight up pain. I feel better today. Sorry everyone has to listen to my injury problems.

I’ll catch up on personals and bbl,

Tracy

PS, The new series look good!

Morning,

My goals for today:

Low Max
96 oz of water
Noooooo sugar

That’s it, I’m feeling better already.

Tracie: So far my day is going well, no knee pain, like always I really enjoyed low max. Man oh man, I WISH Tony would put out more workouts, don’t you guys. It’s has been two years since he did P90X, right? I keep hoping he’d make that announcement.

Cathe’s 4 days spilt can’t wait! Not buying anymore workouts till, well I lied, I still want hip hop abs :7

I very excited about BBC, the workouts look challenging. Don’t you worry your pretty little head, I’m going all the way with P90X this time, trust me:)

Eatery:
M1: 1 c oatmeal, 8 oz ff skim milk, 1 egg white
M2: veggie burger, mustard & onions w/2 slice of wheat bread
M3: med apple + vegetable soup
M4: whey protein w/water
M5: salmon w/asparagus ½ tomato

Doubles/Phase 3/Week 2/Day 4

Good morning,

Katie - great news that you're feeling so much better! Just in time for DAY ONE!!!! I look forward to hearing how you liked it. No, I haven't tried the soup recipes, but I've tried a couple of the scrambles, and liked them very much. The garlic-lemon chicken thigh recipe is tasty, too!

Wendy - Where'd you go? To the 24-hour sink & faucet store? Are you back yet? What did you find?

TraciX - My, you're on fire today. Your post had me cracking up from start to finish. The dog shaving event sounded CRAZY!!! So you have a half-shaved dog now?? Poor thing! Has she acted this way in the past? Re: the "Thrilling Thursday" title - were you watching Oprah yesterday too? (I only saw about 10 mins). Yes, the 4 day split is what I've been waiting for since she first announced these workouts about, what, 18 months ago? Presales always get ugly. I've been around since the Intensity Series came out, and there are always flare ups of some sort of another. Just relax about it - SNM are a professional business and if they didn't benefit from the presales, they wouldn't do them. They know there will be "problems" and "issues", and seem to take it in stride. It's all part of dealing with an internet-based clientele. You mean you never knew about the arrows?! Oh my, they're critical! If you write an up-arrow beside your last weight number, it automatically lifts the weight for you. Caution: do not use a down-arrow. It magnifies the effects of gravity by 10-fold. LOL! PB for Cathe, and $$ for Tony's shorts! If we all went as an audience, it would start to seem like a sport: Extreme Workouts! Cathe vs Tony! Who will be the last one standing? Yes, YogaX after SA does offer a challenge to the shoulders, for sure! But I do think it's better than having to do SA after YogaX! I want my shoulders nice and fresh for lifting heavier }( .

Quiet group the last day or so. Where's Jeanette's evening post?

Today I'm going to do an advanced 45 min cardio, and the Baron Baptiste Level 3 yoga (45 mins). This is my replacement for CardioX and YogaX, as called for by the Doubles rotation. I'm not sure what cardio I'm going to do today. Does anyone have any favourite mish moshes that clock in around 45 min?

Hello to the gang to follow!
SandraX

Good morning,

Today was Yoga day so I did Eoin Finn's PY4H, Magically Hips premix and as usual, it feels really good to loosen up these hip joints and hamstrings. If the weather allows, after work I will do an easy spin on my bike. We have a dusting of snow on the ground right now.

Traci, so sorry that your day was disrupted with the shaving incident. So good that your DH went with you and helped comfort your baby. I had a horse that was terrible about having his mane pulled. I had to have him tranquilized by the vet and have someone help me pull his thick mane. Can't say I blamed the horse, I wouldn't want my mane hairs pulled either. Are you going to take her back and have the rest clipped off, or was that enough? I will check your pics after I get done posting, don't want to risk losing my post. DH liked the furniture and thought it was comfy. It's a different look from the formal Victorian stuff we had in there, but hey, change is good and this new furniture will be much more durable and inviting to sit in. the Shiva Rea DVD I have is Yoga Shakti. I highly recommend that one. What a beautiful production it is!

Tracy, the lemon meringue pie sounds so good. I've only made one once in my life and the crust turned out terrible. I tried to make it from scratch and worked the dough too much. My mom makes the best pies! I just leave that stuff to her! Our son usually requests a cheesecake for his birthday. That I can handle easily. Bet your pie was very tasty! So sorry that you woke up that pain. Hope it doesn't bother you too much today.

Teddygirl, I like your goals for today. I also enjoy Lowmax, what a sweatfest that one is for me every time I do it. I need to drink more water for sure. Thanks for the reminder. Your meals look great and I know you are committed to finishing the X. No one will let you off very easily on this checkin. I'm thinking it's been way over 2 years since P90X was produced, but I could be wrong. I'd say it's time for another go at an "X" like series from Tony for sure.

Got to go,

Jeanette

Back again,

Traci, LOVE your dog pictures! Which one is your female that didn't get the shave job completed? Is she on your right? What happy dogs and you are soooo cute!!!

Sandra, enjoy your Baron yoga today. Hope you aren't too distracted by his shorts to get the benefit of the workout. I didn't post last night as my brother came over and visited with me for a while. He took my old couch and loveseat and I helped him load it up. DH was over at our other son's house helping with a bathroom remodel. Poor guy, he goes and goes sometimes. He's always so willing to help others. He really liked the new furniture and lamps. Cardio, huh? Have you done any Christi Taylor? I think she's fun and like the music she has. I understand about running and just listening to the music at a steady pace. I like riding my bike with just some favorites on for company. It's all got to be enjoyable for me or I won't do it for long. I just keep balancing out fun and easier intensities with some "get down to business" thrown in here and there.

Jeanette

Well what are the Xers up to today??????

Got my cardio completed…. Actually turned Timesaver 4 Kick into an interval (45 minutes) don’t ask- just nod and say something pleasant! Yoga is next but I wanted some Butternut Squash Soup (got it yesterday!) YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! I think I’ll make it from scratch next time and just follow Sandras pumpkin-cauliflower recipe & puree it again…… Lets see who joined me for Breakfast today
I see **TRACY** up early and off to work but also having pain???? Oh no – this just cant be a setback…. WTH **TRACY**, you can upper body yourself / Pull Up yourself and Yoga yourself but ya cant take a shower without injury…. I must ask dear, Were You Alone?
OK- SMACK ME – I deserve it….. Your pie sounds DREAMY! Thanks so much for sharing those lovely details on my low calorie day….Lets look for **TEDDYGIRL**- There she is …. Sweetie- ya do understand that you have to DRINK the 96oz of water not just flop your hands in the pitcher, don’t ya???? Well after 5 days of dehydration I do believe you will not be able to post today.. Unless of course you have a computer in the ladies room! So WHEN exactly are you starting X? How can I play Follow Up Queen if my calendar keeps changing…..Your “eatery” looks FABULOUS! Not a piece of chocolate anywhere! Oh my look who just joined our breakfast group….Good Morning **SANDRA**! I also missed **JEANETTEs** regular sign off last night…. Nothing this morning either…. Perhaps she and DH are “breaking in “ the new sofa??? Ok – 45 minutes advanced cardio…. Well why don’t you throw together some mish mosh of HiLo’s & Blast Segments from Imax 1 & 2????? Isn’t that the yoga with the funny shorts guy? My little Sandy is an angel… of course she never acts that way…. OK- maybe every time DH tries to discipline or train her… She’s almost 15 years old- I say everyone LEAVE HER ALONE! Thanks for coaching on the Presale Strategy…. I guess I just take it all too seriously and dislike all the fighting. I’m a truly the most emotional gal you’ll ever meet. I caught sub conscious portions of Oprah yesterday… I was making din din for the kids and DH was home so noise factor was higher than normal…. Did they say Thrilling Thursday???? But yesterday was Wonderful Wednesday????? I’m sooooo confused!
OH THERES **JEANETTE! Yippee!!!!! Oh dear girl I like MY VERSION of why you hadn’t posted so much better than yours! Lets stick with mine for today OK? Yes – Sandy is sitting on my right… the parts that got shaved are almost white- she looks utterly nerdy!

OK- YOGA ‘s calling my name!

It is strange I never been a water drinker, once I’m on I’m on but once I get off track like I just did, I’m off. Water isn’t easy for me to drink. My girlfriend drinks like crazy, I know over gallon per day. Me, I do good if I can get 96 oz in. The summer time I’m much better but the colder months, forget it:-( :-(

I’m all over the place, just join a group at BeachBody.com sick I know.

Jeanette~ my middle name is vernette :D nice pictures. I can definitely see progress. Keep up the great work:D

Tracie: starting this Saturday You know :D I’m excited, going allllllllllllll the way. Your little or should I say big babies are something else :) :)

Teddygirl~

Good morning everyone. How the heck are you? No time for personals right now, and don't know if I will have time today(shock I know), but wanted to jump in and say hi.

I did shoulder/arms and ARX yesterday and loved it!! I am feeling so much stronger now. I think for a few weeks that I am going to switch my Thursday yoga day to Sunday and take Thursday as a rest day. What do you think of that? My DS has an art class on Thursday's that last until 5pm and by the time I get home and cook dinner it would be way too late to do an hour and a half workout.

So that is that. Not much else going on. Have a great day and I hope that I can chat soon.

Lea

Hi Ladies in Waiting ;-)

We got the faucet, but drove all around for the sink. The one we finally decided to commit to at 9PM needed unloaded off the truck. Phil will be picking it up after work tonight. Phil and I surfed the internet for island legs since Kraftmaid wants $600 for one spindly 42" spindle! Outrageous!!!

Tonight is C&B and ARX. Whooo Hooo last C&B for Phase 1! For all that asked about barefoot Kenpo, I will never go back to shoes. Thanks Debra! My joints are fine; landed like Catwoman. Batman would be proud.

Talked to my best friend from High School last night. She's tempting me to go to the 20 year hs reunion. I told her about Cathe and P90X. Since she's no longer breakdancing in the bathroom :), she may be lurking here, so give an X-shout out to Trecia if you have any energy left in ya.

Traci-X: So glad you are feeling better! Tell me Dreya isn't on any phase 2 workouts. The sad part is that I don't think $100,000 and a personal visit from Tony would be enough to give me the self control needed to give up junk food. I would have to move to some remote island, and that would probably cost me more than $100,000. We must be twins, I'm bored fighting with the staples. But, I have to keep on keeping on. I have no choice but to finish now. My kitchen will leave me penniless. I would shave your dogs for free. About 8 years ago, Phil wanted me to clip his hair. He kept asking why I was laughing till he looked in the mirror. Scattered areas of his skull were hairless. Needless to say, he ended up bald for a couple of weeks. Oops!

Tracy: Happy Belated Birthday to your son! How'd he enjoy his not so healthy cake? Remember when Bill Cosby talked about feeding his kids cake for breakfast because it had eggs and milk in it. His kids sang, "Dad is great. He feeds us chocolate cake!" And then everything hit the fan when their mom came downstairs. LOL We found a place in NJ that sells and fabricates imported granite for $14.26 a slab. We can get by slabs because our island will be two tiered. After figuring how much we'd need and the cuts, it comes to $1400 (not including installation). Do you have any advice on what I should ask when I visit their showroom?

Debra! Congrats!!!!! :) :) :) :) You're moving to NC!!! I'm so happy for you! Now the adventure can begin! Too bad Jennette doesn't live near you. I hear she has experience moving furniture. ;-)

Lea: How are the PM workouts going? I'd love to do the opposite and workout in the morning. Our evenings are so busy already.

Teddygirl: Yay! You're mending up well. Watch out Tony! Here she comes! I'm excited for you!

Sandra-X: Glad your meeting went well. I'm too embarrassed to say how far I've gotten with the settee. In my mind, it's a substantial amount. On paper, it's pathetic! Our homeschool hours vary. When I first started homeschooling, we spent 5 to 6 hours a day. No kindergartener needs that much one on one time!!! LOL At the beginning of the year, we were doing 5 to 6 hours a day. It was hard because I was doing science and history every day in an effort to cover more ground. Well, that's level 10: crazy. ;-) Elementary schools usually do one semester of each, or 2 days of science and 3 days of history each week. After we finished the texts and all the supplemental materials, I decided they had enough for one year. Also, I had 9 year old outline her entire science book and write a 3 to 5 paragraph report for each chapter. I have a tendency to go overboard! Now, we are just needing to do the 3R's. I spend a couple of hours a day total going over new concepts. My 9 year old can do more independent work. She has a computer typing program, latin dvds, spelling lists on cd, and does most of her reading by herself. My twins only have to do BJU Math, Spell to Read & Write, and First Language Lessons every day. Well, that was probably more info than you wanted to hear. Thanks for the egg and yoga explainations. Now, I'm wondering which half of YogaX to do. Which one is easier? Ha-Ha

Jeanette: A major congrats to you too!!! :) :) LOL You had visions of X'ers cheering in your head! I hope it was a good hair day for us! LOL Oh! You should have seen the cabinets that were in this house. The previous owners painted them white and sponged painted the recessed panel blue and painted the outer moulding blue. People would comment that they like what I did. I was mortified! I did NOT go country crazy in my kitchen! If we didn't change the layout, I would have refaced the cabinets. It's a good alternative. Did your furniture arrive in splendid condition? I'm jealous that you're getting new furniture!

Laurie: You're so sweet mailing me your needle nose pliers. I'm hiding mine from Phil. Phil used it last and doesn't even remember that we owned them! I can't wrap my brain around how you plan and eat healthy. It seems so foreign to me. How were you able to do it? I really need to buy a book and ease into it.

Hi to all the rest of you strong Xers! Personals for yesterday are done. Gotta get some things done around the house. BBL

Wendy

Morning ladies!!! Well, I made it through my first Tony torture! OMG!!!! I thought the push ups would never end!!! I hope no one expects me to raise my arms over my head today. You know it's bad when you have to lower your head to your hands to wash your hair. :p I am doing the classic and I am going to try the diet. So, today I ate my carbs for breakfast and will not get any more today. :-( The ab workout was pretty tough too.

Traci-X - I did take pictures last night. I was going to measure too, but I couldn't find my tape measure in the mess that is our temporary home (everything is in boxes). I'm more concerned with the pics anyway. Feeling pretty good. I've already had more the eat this morning than I usually do by lunchtime. I feel like such a pig! :D

Sandra - I made the Veggie soup last night to have with my lunch today. I tasted it when it was done and it was very good! I was so proud of myself for making my first homemade vegetable soup. :7

Tomorrow is Plyometrics...eek! I'm a little scard. Tony is kind of a dork and seems to like himself a whole lot, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for me.

Katie

Katie,

OMG! Love it! Your first day diary is priceless! I've gotta do C&B tonight too. It gets easier the second week. By easier, your muscles aren't screaming as loud.

I love plyo! I love how it makes my legs look. I was surprised at how fast the time flew by. I really appreciated and needed his little 30 second water breaks. It seems so real compared to workouts that are edited to not include the breaks instructors and their crew take. Are you going to wear a heart rate monitor for it? Can't wait to hear your comments on it tomorrow.

Agreed. I thought the same thing about Tony at first. I'm used to him now. His antics don't come across as self absorbed too much anymore.

Wendy

Hi everyone,

Been working on my rotation as far as my add-ons for the week. I have a question, I am NOT a yoga gal tried it once, but those down wards dogs just about killed me. First of all, I think its just to long if remembering right, I believe 30 minutes of DWD-ing:+ What could I sub YogaX for? any sugguestions :) or do I just bare it with a smile x(

Teddygirl~

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph1/Wk2/Day4/Rnd2

I don't have much time today, my parents came while I was in the middle of YogaX. Of course I ignored them until I was finished. :+ Dad asked what Yoga was, can you tell he doesn't exercise. He has been waiting for his baby elephant to birth for many years. :D :D Love him though.

Yesterday we had about 3 inches of snow, and it was slippery. I picked my girls up from MIL and got stuck in her driveway. Shoveled that out and when I got home my car couldn't make it up the driveway. I left it there for DH to take care of. My DD's where wonderful and shoveled the driveway out. :)

I have to give a yippee to myself. 12 lbs for lying tricep extensions. No pain in elbows when lifting, so happy with my progress.

Traci, I can't believe how much more energy I have with this round of the X than I did the last round. Building the muscle the first round really taxed the energy level. This round I feel extra strong.

Wendy, I started with BFFM program, and that was a handy tool for me to understand what my body needed. I just fell of the wagon, and now I am motivated to get myself back on the good eating. All of you are helping me more than you know.

Katie, Way to go on the first day, it is tough but it is so worth the effort.

Tracy, I'm coming over for pie, that is my favorite. When I was PG with my DD's, I sent DH out for lemon meringue pie from Bakers Square. :9 :9 :9

Have to get going and visit with my parents,

Laurie

Good afternoon Xers. I didn't check in yesterday as I was off work and did some shopping for spring time clothing and shoes. I scored big time. I used my gift cards from Christmas. :7 Can't understand sizing in clothing now days. x( Takes forever to try all sizes on to get it right.

My Wed workout was cardio TS#4 and GS BSB. I was really sweatin' and fighting to get those #15's up on the last sets of bi's. It rocked!

I'm getting frustrated with the shipping of my P90X. I just left CA Wed. I ordered the 6th. It may be another week before it ever arrives.;(

I need some motivation. Thos rainy cold weather is pure Arhhhhgggg!

Cleaning up my diet is proof to myself "I can do it" and still have what it takes. It's been a loooooong time since I used restraint when eating throughout the day.;)

I'm looking forward to starting the program. And also to Cathe releasing her new set of DVD's. She is awesome!

Wishing you all well and keep up the great workouts!

Hi Gang,

I ended up doing Low Impact Circuit cardio timesaver premix today: 43 mins of just the step portion, if you don't include the cooldown & stretch. Then I did Baron Baptiste's Power Yoga Level 3. In all, a workout that fit the bill for today. I realized as the morning went on that almost every muscle in my body was sore, stiff, and fatigued to some degree. The thought of any kind of blasty jumping really seemed like too much for the old body. So, I went the low-impact route. I'll be glad I did, I hope, because tomorrow is a long day of cardio, legs & back, and core. Right now I think I'll do 10-10-10, Butt's n Guts standing legs, plus the three bonus leg/glute exercises, and BG stability ball abs. I'll insert a round of LB pull/chin ups after every 2 BG leg exercises. That's the plan....so far.

JeanetteX - yes, I have 6 of Christi's cardios, and I do enjoy them. She has great music, I agree!! She is good for a mild-impact step day. Hm. Now you got me thinking. Snow?? I thought that I was the only one "lucky" enough to be getting that at this time of year. I hope it melts before you get on your bike tonight. Enjoy your ride. Were your legs any worse for wear, after the TT on Tuesday?

TraciX - interesting stream of thought you had there. You're funny! Oprah was promoting some British guy's book about how to be happy. She had some guests on, "regular folk", and they were evaluated on how "happy" they are. One guy, who came out with a high happy score, had a positive nickname for every day of the week. Yes, even Mondays!

Teddygirl - so, are your back teeth floating yet? LowMax is one of my favourites. Glad your knee didn't give you grief! Only 48 hours until Day One! Lots of people subbed the yoga. It's 93 minutes. If you really can't stand it, then sub a 30 minute low-impact, mild cardio (like Basic Step or something like that), then do XStretch. That's 90 minutes that will give you a light cardio workout, and a lot of rejuvenating stretches. Hey, this sounds good. I might do it myself next Thursday :)

LeaX - I think your plan to switch Thursday and Sunday is a great one. Is your son the one painting the nudes? No, wait, I think that's Wendy's DD. But you're the one who paints IN the nude, right?

Wendy - $600 for a piece of wood that has some carving done on it? Is that what you mean? That sounds absurd. Are you on your last round with CB already?? This month is flying by. Are you seeing any progress with either your weight loads or your push/pull up numbers? Dreya's still around for Phase 2 - you do Legs & Back every Friday for the whole 90 days. Also, she's rather central in Core Synergistics, which you do twice during the recovery weeks. Heh heh. Enjoy. }( I trimmed DH's hair once, but then everyone at work asked him if his wife cut his hair, so I never did it again. Thanks for all the details on the homeschooling. I'm curious enough now that I think I'll start researching the Alberta homeschooling guidelines. It's a huge thing in this province, in particular. The first half of YogaX is MUCH easier than the second!! Definitely do the first half!!!

Trecia - If you're lurking, here's a shout out!! Hollllllaaaaa!!!! Go on, order. You know you want to..........It's as easy as getting out your credit card.........

Katie - Welcome to the "Mother of All P90X workouts"!!! Nasty, huh? Believe it or not, by the end of this thing, you'll actually be trying to figure out how to add all these glorious push ups to Cathe's workouts!! It gets easier. It really does. Glad to know the soups are good. I'll have to try one. I haven't had tasted a bad recipe from that book, yet. The protein smoothie is yummy, as are the chicken salad, and the tuna salad. I'm guessing that tomorrow you're going to do PlyoX and think "Huh? What's all the fuss about?" It seems easiest the first week. You'll do great!

LaurieX - 3 inches of snow for you??? Car getting stuck all over the place?? Is this April in the Northern, or the Southern hemisphere? Everything's gone upside down. I can't believe you ignored your parents during YogaX, THEN took the time to write an email to us LOL!!! I guess we know where your priorities lie (and I have to say I can relate) ;)

Amy - Great to hear from you today. NICE job with BSB! The Gym Styles are such terrific workouts. I look forward to the new heavy weight series she's just announced!!! Hopefully your package arrives really soon. So, is this "free expedited shipping" thing just a load of horse manure? It seems like everyone who's received it hasn't gotten their workouts any quicker than via regular mail.

Well, it's time to hit the showers. Wendy, if you've made it to the bottom of this email, I'll confess that I lied to you. The second half is much easier. The first half is a sweat fest. :* :*

Okay, now I'm really going, before Wendy throws some big words at me.

Wendy - Yes, I wear my HRM for all my workouts. I was very surprised to find out I burned over 500 calories today. I was happy about that. I shouldn't have been that surprised though, considering I was out of breath for the majority of the workout. :) I'm looking forward to Plyo tomorrow. Is it anything like the IMAX intervals?

Sandra - I bought the stuff to make both the chicken and the tuna salad. Looking forward to trying them. I bought a lot of romaine because I have a feeling I'll be eating A LOT of salads. I also bought the stuff for the protein smoothie. That's my breakfast tomorrow. I hope it keeps me full until my snack. I'm trying to choke down my enormous lunch right now. Ugh. It's going to take me awhile to get used to these huge portions of protein.

Hello ladies...I am still alive...just going crazy with plans and looking at houses online in wild anticipation of everything going as planned...I have been keeping up with my workouts...kind of. I did GS Legs yesterday...and I can tell you my hammies were talking to me today! I did a short session of yoga today...and I wish I had the time to do more...I may try to do a little more tonight...wait...who am I kidding? I also did abs from LIC. I am planning on doing Billy's Bootcamp DVD that I got from flickety fit tomorrow...I previewed it today and I think I can use it as my circuit for the week. Let's see..where to start with personals...they may be brief today...but be sure I read all of your posts!

Traci...Next time I go to get my hair cut, will you come and rub me? I enjoy pets and ear rubs, too! I got a kick out of the way Jeanette called it the "shaving incident." I LOVE the pic of you and the kids...Precious! MW-MIL just doesn't understand! Glad you got in your cardio...and I am sure that Yoga is done...I haven't done that one of Eion's yet..Is there lots of nectar talk?

Sandra...Glad your meeting went well. Is there a reason you don't want to stay in academia? Did you mention this already and I missed it? Thanks for the heads up yesterday about Cathe's new vids...I don't always check out the other boards...and just knowing she is in the process of making new ones helped me get my big buttocks off the sofa and workout!

Tracy..Sorry you are still hurting...You poor woman! Happy bday to DS!

Teddygirl....Hope you achieved all of your goals today...I, too, have a hard time with water consumption. I call it a really good day if I have 48oz. If I were you..I would do yogaX through at least once...Just to see what Tony is getting at...but then I subbed Eion Finn and Bryan Kest power yogas...You could also sub Baron Baptiste.

Jeanette...Hope your hips were feeling loose and of course, very sweet after Eion. Congrats on you TT the other day. I know you must be excited with your improved number! And glad the furniture is working out well...have fun and enjoy it...You'll have to sit in your living room all the time now.

Lea...Hope things are going well in neck of the woods...I love Sh+Arms...always a favorite.

Wendy..So glad you liked Kenpo that way...I really enjoyed it much better too...I am doing all my kickboxing that way now and it feels much more natural for me...especially on carpet.

Katie..WooHoo!! One down...what 89 to go?!? Just kidding! Good luck with those arms tomorrow! I don't think plyo is anything like Imax...more boy-type moves and sports related moves...I used IMax to sub towards the end of the X.

Laurie....Have fun with your parents..And I hope you have lots of peanuts, in case that elephant gets delivered early! Also...I am sending out your DVD tomorrow...And what's with the snow up here? We had a ton here too..Yuck! Ready for a real spring!

Amy...Keep you chin up...get it, "chin up"?!? Your X will come!

Okay...I really have to go and make my super healthy dinner...halibut and roasted veggies...except of course, I read in Women's Health to only eat halibut a couple of time a month because of the high mercury levels...I didn't read it until after I bought the halibut. C'est la vie!
