Hi all,

Today is legs and back for me and I'll probably do a long walk or some cardio before. It will be 'different' having just done plyox yesterday.

Jeanette - I have to agree with you. I think my body is getting to used to this. Maybe it's planned that way. I'loved Eion Finn's magically hips. I so need that stretching. Have you done any of the other routines?

If you are younger you might not want to read this....
Traci, Sandra, & Jeanette - I used to have terrible mood swings and breast tenderness. It started in my late 30s. I did a lot of reading and finally came up with this, which I take twice a day; 6 500mg evening primrose, 1 tbl flax oil, 400mg vit E, then once a day I take 100mg B6. It took me a while to figure out how many evening primrose I needed, but this number works; no less. I started getting night sweats about 4 years ago and added the flax oil in then. I hardly have them anymore. During the 1st two weeks of my cycle I can take a little less flax oil, maybe 2 tsp and occasionally miss a dose, but after that I really try to get it twice daily. One more huge thing. I rarely eat anything with CHEMICALS in it.

As far as the calories from the oil, I make my own salad dressing and I just naturally eat a very low fat diet. I started back when the low fat was in style and have continued ever since. I have to have the flax or I am a mess. All of that keeps my mood even and happy and I can deal with anything (I used to be an anxious, moody, mess). As a result, I'm able to keep going with my daily routines etc. and I really rarely binge eat, which helps to control the calorie intake. It keeps everything on an upbeat cycle and my thinking rational, instead of a negative cycle, if you know what I mean.

If you are having pms type mood swings, I would suggest trying giving up food chemicals for a month and seeing if it makes any difference; in addition to the oils. You might be surprised. It's not easy though, a real life style change. Traci you are probably close except that creamer you use. That would send me over the edge.

Happy Friday to all, bbl.

Tracy

Happy Friday Fit Xers!

Just read through yesterday's gab fest. So I think I'm caught up on everybody. Has anyone thrown out a tentative post X rotation?

Classic Hybrid/Ph1/Wk4/Day24

Well, Phase 1 is coming to an end and Don and I had a little talk/analysis this morning about "rest and recovery week". We both kind of felt that it was a "week off" and we now know that we were sorely mistaken. Don has been doing a couple of out door runs with the pup and I have done Yoga(60 minutes only), 4 mile outdoor run, KenpoX, and this morning I fizzled out on Core Synergistics. Our conclusion was that "rest/recovery" is continuation at a lower grade but not a "Time Out". We are going to be prepared next recovery week.

I have found that almost all the workouts, including the weight lifting, are burning 400kcal. I haven't done PlyoX with the HR monitor but assume it's close to HCE #3.

I just adore Kenpo. Don and I have been a little frustrated with the extended (I know, it's important!)warm ups. So yesterday I warmed up to Kenpo with Cathe for 15 minutes until her "lunge to the side, reach and pulls". Then I jumped right into Kenpo and loved the flow of everything. Wow, for some reason , this is a big dripper for me!

Man, I forgot how challenging Core Synergistics is from both a cardio and functional standpoint. I was doing it regularly for the 3 weeks I was trialing "Lean Rotation" and I think I'm going to plug it back in as a regular this next Phase. So Phase 2 of my Hybrid will look like this:

Day 1- Chest, Sh, Tri's / Ab Ripper X
Day 2- HCE #3 or Plyo
Day 4- Back & Bi's / Ab Ripper X
Day 5- Core Synergistics
Day 6- Legs & Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 7- KPC warm up, KenpoX

Hey, you long haired ladies, I also blow dry my sweaty head after multiple workouts. It works out just fine. I have such thick, long hair that it takes 30 minutes to wash and blow. I live in a pony tail or french braid!

Hey, throw out some Post X rotations to stimulate ideas!

Have a great Friday Xers!

:7 Morning X’ers! So happy it’s a “Go to the Bay” Weekend! Sunny & 60’s so we’ll be outta here by 2pm.
I am always highly motivated to get my workouts done on bay day so I’ll be hitting KENPO early! Also have to do Legs/Back as it just never happened yesterday. I don’t mind doubles (or is it triples) w/ this combination. Yesterday I was just so dog tired from no sleep the night before & my muscles have been so fatigued this week that I really felt I would hurt myself if I attempted Legs/Back…. At least it was a conscious choice to take that extra rest day.

:7 MONICA: Anxiously awaiting your update. Do hope that you are good both mentally *physically…. I know yesterday must have been a bear… at least now you can move forward with taking care of whatever the MRI found.

:7 TRACY: My goodness I appreciate all the info you shared! I will look at the dosage amounts I currently take and start a new regimen this weekend. At least I will have a starting point. THANK YOU again. You are right that except with occasional slide -processed foods are out of my life EXCEPT for creamer. I may go ahead and change to Soy Lite Milk in it although that isn’t my fav…. Shoot maybe if I don’t like it as well I’ll stop drinking so much too! Congrats on getting Plyo X completed! I too feel like my body is getting used to workouts (12 weeks may be a bit to long for me) … I was at a plateau for about 2-3 weeks earlier in month and then I tweaked my diet regimen again and started seeing results. I guess the good news is that I know that I am better off fine tuning diet portion of life rather than adding endless hours of exercise. At some point for me the effectiveness of exercise just ceases and it’s all about diet from that point on for significant changes… RATS... LOL, unlike most people I think the majority of us here would love to be able to eat poorly and just workout more! Lol we are a rare breed here eh?

:7 X: LOL… Thanks for swooping in last night! LOL on first recovery week…. I was exactly the same way… sadly mistaken! Yes I soon learned that I’d rather lift weights than” banana boat” & Dreya Roll it! Since phase 2 I have warmed up in other ways (Cathe, Dancing w/ dogs) other than Tony. I think it was more of a diversion plus it takes about 10 minutes off the actual workout! 40 minutes looks better to me than 50-58! It’s all a mental game isn’t it? So happy to hear you talk about your long hair! I really thought I was the only one on the planet that behaved in such a barbaric manner! hahahahaah:7

:7 Debra: ^^^^ 5 on Core Syn yesterday! How are those banana boats coming along? What does DD think of Mommy when she’s flopping around on floor like that? Ha

:7 Jeanette: Your catnap was obviously what the doc ordered! Just so wonderful to not “fight” those needs/desires, good for you! So are you looking forward to Phase 3 on Monday? I recall being extremely excited but I was excited EVERY new Phase! Just like seeing the calendar countdown! Your Garage Boys sound like quite the group! My spinning instructor last year was a competitor as well. Opened a small studio and introduced me to spinning. He always tried to get me to do the MS 500 (I think 500) from here in Houston to Austin but I never wanted to invest in all the “stuff”. I just can’t have the basics you know… gotta be the best dressed last place finisher too!:7 Regarding the workouts & body getting used to them…. In addition to comments I put in Tracy’s post … I am really thinking that my “P90X Get Ready for Summer” will be an 8 week’er vs. 12. I think that once you reach a certain threshold some bodies will need less duration. What are your thoughts on that? Am I delusional and trying to get out of 12 full weeks? I am open to all feedback as I am thinking out loud here.

Happy Day to Laurie, DB, Deb, Lea, Steph & Sandra!

Have a great morning X’ers…. You are the best!

Hi all,

Just a few thoughts on our topic of getting used to the workouts. Maybe it is as much physical as it is mental, I don't know. Do you all think that people who seriously train can consistently make gains or that they too plateau and then start to make gains again? All I know is that I don't think that I can safely lift heavier right now, so unless anyone has any other suggestions, I guess I'll continue at the same weights and try to increase reps.

Just an FYI for post p90x rotations. I was lurking on the hardcore fitness maniacs thread and one of the posters commented that she has 1/2 the strength for pull ups compared to when she was doing the X. I can't remember how long its been since she did it. I know she regularly does Cathe weights.

Gotta go,

Tracy

Tracy: Interesting topics to ponder...

I do find with my body that "lifting" strength plateaus. For me I can tell because I know I could do a "bit" heavier for say Biceps but my forearms cannot handle the extra weight. Perhaps its because so many muscle groups are involved w/ lifting? Since doing P90X I think for me what I always considered weak biceps were more a weak back... as my back is stronger I am able to do more wt than ever but have certainly hit my plateau. This is one of the reasons that I am so concerned about going back to Cathe's Strength stuff without modifications. I'm going in circles thinking that maybe for a week or two it would be good to lift lighter but faster ... But I do not want to lose the muscle momentum as that is what is re-shaping this post 40 body. A QUANDRY!

I recall Shelley saying that about herself & the weights too post P90X. More confusion as to what to actually do next!

I feel like I'm going out into the world after a year with a good therapist and now I gotta go it alone... SCARY!;-)

TGIF ladies!

So much to comment on, so I think I'll just have to make some general comments this morning. Man, you ladies have some energy!

About getting used to P90x... For me, who's only done Firm and Cathe-type lifting, this program has gotten progressively harder as the weeks have gone on. Don't get me wrong, the DOMS in the beginning are not comparable to anything that I've ever experienced (even in my 2-3 hour swim practices a day in high school), but I've definitely seen HR increases as the weeks progress. Not that HR tells the whole story, but I definitely think I'm working harder at the weights than I ever have before. It makes me wonder exactly how I'm going to like Cathe weight work after all this. Will I have adequate rest between sets? Will I be able to work each muscle group to exhaustion? I think most about w/o's like Muscle Endurance that focus a little on all muscle groups with lower weights. I was able to really push it with ME before, but now if I upped my weights for the workout, I'd probably poop out mid-way through.

On weight increases... I think a lot of that's mental. It's all about how much burn is TOO much burn for one person. For some reason, I'm so focused on going for the WHOLE time per set that Tony gives in his videos vs. doing less reps with a higher weight and fatiguing early. Was that too confusing? Mentally I need a switch up to help me break that thought process. I've had VERY limited weight increases with this program, but the progress is staggering! Maybe in the next round, or when I fit various tapes in to my post P90x rotation, I'll try the "less reps, higher weight" idea.

Last night was rest and tonight I'm going to bring it with L&B, Cardio X, and ARX. Although that's a marathon session (and hubby's chomping at the bit to have his lovely wife chill out with him on a Friday night after 2 hours of intense working out), it always motivates me to start me weekend off with a bang. NO EXCUSES! :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I'll be reading!

Morning Everyone,

Classic/Ph2/Week8/Day4

Today will be X stretch for me.

All I can say is that I don't think I'm going to be spending $200 to join the curling club for a year. Of course I could have all the beer I can drink. :9 I'm not a big fan of the cold. Why do I live in Wisconsin? Had a great time getting my hair cut, I so enjoy how they pamper you. They made me a nice hot cup of coffee, :9 :) and that is when I really started to unthaw. My stylist put something different in my hair, and I really like the way it looks this time. I have to find out what it was and buy it. Made my hair soft and didn't frizz my natural curl.

Sounds like everyone is doing great on their workouts, and I'm so glad it is Friday!

Have a good one!

Laurie

Morning all,

Classic/Phase 2/Week 4/Day 5 (Recovery Week)

Today was Core Syn for me and though I wasn't as rarin' to go as I was on Tuesday, I still brought it pretty well, especially at the end of the workout. For some reason, my arms burned a bit more today and I felt the cardio effect more too. It kicked my butt more than on Tuesday I guess is what I'm saying. I "flopped" more on the Superman to Banana's, heck on all of those type, I flopped more (sure using the word more today). BUT, I tried unassisted Dreya Rolls for the first time and did 20 of them, no hands touching at all. Think it's because I'm bottom heavy LOL, like a weeble wobble that keeps popping up. Made it through the Plank/Chata Iso's too. I think the prison cell pushups are tough, tough. Actually, I was at work the other day watching the inmates working out in the yard and one of them was doing these prison cell thingies. Made me think of our dear Tony.

Tracy, hope Legs & Back goes okay for you today. I think the order of these workouts makes a big difference, whether we have time to recover or not. I think all of the premixes are good on Eoin, even the quickie one. I love to do pigeon stretch and anything that focuses on loosening up the hips so I usually pick Magically Hips and it is less than 1 hour. Thanks for the info on the primrose and flax oils. I am fortunate not to have too many PMS symptoms, but I may try bumping up the primrose oil to 2 gels a day. Creamer I have not been able to give up. Love the French Vanilla.

X - I think Core Syn is a great workout that I for sure will be incorporating into other rotations as it just hits all over for me. So nice that you and your DH discuss the workouts. Mine just does what I say, doesn't really analyze anything, but maybe he thinks I overdo everything anyway.

Traci, know you will enjoy going to the bay today. Hope you have the best time!!! Weather in the 60's! We've been getting into the high 40's lately and I'm loving it. Re: the eating and exercise, yep, we are rare. Yes, I am very much looking forward to Phase 3, also like that you get a change of workouts every week. I really don't mind AbX at all (sick, huh?), but may throw a Cathe ab workout in there or maybe a Gilad and have DH do it too. I can't wait to see your 8-week workout rotation! I'm hoping I haven't plateaued strength-wise. We'll see in the coming weeks. Re: 8 weeks vx. 12 weeks, I think sometimes that it's just mental. Even at the end of 8 weeks, I would maybe be burned out, just knowing that we are at the end, whereas if it was at 12 weeks, the 8 week point wouldn't bother me. Hope I'm explaining this right.

DB, enjoy your workout tonite. Weight increases are definitely mental. I tend to be really afraid of hurting myself so I tend to not up my weight as often as maybe I should. With the worksheets, it's been awesome to make that decision to go up or do an extra rep from the time before. Very, very mental for me. I just can't seem to focus like that with Cathe's weight workouts. I love the structure of working on my own and challenging myself. I'm really wondering how I'll do when I go back to Cathe.

Laurie, getting pampered is wonderful! That's why I love my massages so much. No curling competitions for you? Bet it was fun to go to anyway.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Hi Tracy:) I'm lurking over here this morning to see how you all are doing on the X. and caught this. I was the one over on the Hardcore checkin who said I have lost half my strength in Pullups. I finished the X rotation in Nov. I haven't been doing pullups at all since then. I tried them the other day and have gone from doing 11 unassisted chin ups down to 6 and from 8 unassisted close grip pullups down to 4. I sure wish I would have kept doing them now. I also could do pulldowns with 100lbs and could only do that with 80lb. After I finished my X rotation I was clueless as what to do next. I was like a puppy that got kicked out of their home. Completely lost. LOL! I can honestly say that going back to Cathe weight workouts has been extremely difficult for me. I'm still having a hard time with all the reps and following along, she goes so fast! I think I'm finally getting used to it and am starting to enjoy her new DVDs, mostly enjoying the circuits. I wish I could help some of you with a post X rotation, but I just don't know what it would be. I almost think doing Cathe for a month and alternateing with P90X the next month, might not be a bad idea or even having a post X checkin might really help with ideas. Good luck all of you Xers, you are doing great so far!:)

Hey there X'ers!

Sounds like you're all doing fantabulous! I, on the other hand have slacked on my recovery week. I felt like I needed more cardio (like I know what I need more than Tony knows what I need!), so that's what I've been doing this week. But I did do Kenpo X today and after reading Jeanette's post today I think I will tackle Core Syn tomorrow (that's such a toughie for me). That's funny about the guy in your prision.

Jeanette, what week are we on starting on Monday? I'm so confused now. :)

I hope you all have a great Friday and keep up the great work!

Hi Suz,
Just a quick one before I leave for prison. Think I will do prison pushups all morning in my cell..er cubicle. We will be starting Phase 3 on Monday, that will be week 9. Hey, we can do this. I'm seeing it thru until the end. I like my upper body when I look in the mirror in my bedroom, guess the light is just right. I don't look ripped, but my skin looks thinner and I look really lean, then I look in the bathroom and the blob is back LOL! Dang, pictures coming up and I'm not sure if there will be any diff. We'll see. Definitely feel leaner this recovery week, not near the puffiness (if I only could stay away from the tortilla chips. Darn DH for buying them.)

Got to go the joint now.

Jeanette

:7 Well I am back & happy to report that today’s workout (yesterdays) of Legs & Back & ARX for the LAST TIME! Is indeed completed….:7 I decided to do Kenpo tomorrow as we will be at bay and I won’t need the rest since I had it yesterday… May help to help me stay clean as Bay eating is always challenging!
I did try to mix things up a bit w/ Legs & Back…. I did all of ARX (found it tough even for last one of a thousand we’ve done)… Went to L&B and did all the Back THEN did all the Legs. WHAT a different workout it was!:7 My back muscles were bulging out like week 1 (had I had any to bulge that is)… and Legs… I did the workout from end to start so my legs were REALLY confused. What I found was that I was able to bring it a lot more to second part of leg work as my legs weren’t fatigued and that means that sneaky lunges were REALLY low and long! YEAH…. By the time I got to exercise 1 (Balance Lunges) I could only do 20 vs. 25. My quad muscles & cut lines are quite impressive this morning if I do say so myself.:7 Also with Legs all together the HR never came down as only rest was the rewind time. Really had a ball doing it this way and think it was good to confuse the muscles a bit after 12 weeks of this one.

:7 Dallys – Thanks for visiting and giving us additional input. So no pull ups for 2 months? Oh my…. Just like starting over?...I personally plan on adding pull ups to my regular post 90X rotations. I know that I cannot go back to old format of wts. I am planning on using Cathes stuff but doing my own pace on wt tapes…. Circuits as a change will be good I think but the fast lifting or push ups etc…. got me no-where fast for a full year. I think w/ sound off or mind focused I will get best of Cathes moves combined with “style” that suits my body more.

:7 JEANETTE: Sure sounds to me like you were on fire w/ Core Syn today! Such amazing gains in all those tough moves? Oh my you are really building strength in new areas… Good for you ! Funny about inmates/Tony! Ha Bet those inmates would LOVE our little Tony!!!!!

:7 LAURIE: Enjoy stretchX today…. I am taking that to bay as well – I skipped it last week and can really tell by my general tightness that I did! Happy Happy for you w/ hair… LOVE when it feels & looks so good. The few times a year I “get” my hair done I always tell DH its date night! Gotta go show it off!

:7 DB: Quite the marathon tonight! You go girl!!!! I started week one w/ doing the 12-15 and found that once I switched to 8-10 with heavier wts it broke a very old limiting thought system I never realized I had about weights. It’s been mentally & physically awesome for me to continue to grow in this area…. Just another life/P90X lesson for me.

:7 :7 I’ll be in & out til we leave for bay but if I miss anyone HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY ! I’ll be back Sunday late afternoon and will check in as it is that very important day for me…. DAY 1 of FINAL RECOVERY WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CL/PH2/WK4/Day5: CoreSyn

Good morning,

Just a quick hello to you all. Day doesn't seem complete without a quick chat. Had a terrible sleep last night, am very tired. Also desperately want to shower, but am forcing self to wait until after workout. Want to workout just to get the shower, but am too tired to workout. Will have a 2nd cup of coffee and try to do some writing, and ignore the grimy feeling. Not exactly sure when will do CoreSyn. Wouldn't care if I didn't get around to it until last afternoon. Just wish I didn't feel so ucky (no shower yesterday).

DH did very well with P90 Circuit 1-2 last night. It's in this workout that I realized how GOOD of an instructor Tony is. His demeanor is serious, encouraging, and respectful of the beginning level of the participant. Even though he obviously is in super shape, and can do so much more than in this workout, he doesn't flaunt it for the camera. Not a drop of machismo in this video. Classy.

DH needs much work on his form, but my approach was to just let him do it. He needs to learn what muscle he's supposed to be focusing on, and how to hold the rest of his body while he does that. His most aggregious form problems are in any move that requires core/back strength (back rows, push ups, etc). After his third time through this workout I'll spend some time with him in front of a mirror, showing him proper form.

I found it very exciting to record his weights and reps. His ## were quite light, and he can't do a push up with straight legs (the few bent knee ones just about killed him!), but I think it's so exciting to know that as the weeks go on he'll get stronger and better. It's going to be very rewarding to look back at this first week and say, "I can't believe that felt so hard!".

Okay, I didn't mean to spend much time on here this morning. I've got to get some stuff done. Workout or writing, not sure which. But something!

Traci - have a super dooper time at the Bay!

Jeanette - thanks for all the cycling info.

Tracy - thanks for the supplement info.

Debra - still looking foward to hearing about the tat.

Monica - thinking of you; hope you post soon.

DB, Stephanie, X, Lea, and, ah, everyone else I missed, have a great workout. I'll BBL for more detailed conversation.

Cheers,
Sandra

Classic/Phase 3/Week 4/Day 5

Hi there gals. I had an awesome workout today with back and legs. I felt like I totally brought it and I was sweating up a storm, which I don't usually do with this workout. I high fived my DH after it was over because yay this is the very very last intense weight workout. I know I still have recovery week, but it's almost over. And I also did ARX first thing this morning (don't know why I haven't been doing this before). Got my hands up in the air doing in and outs and bicycles and actually did all of the backward bicycle. Guess I felt like I had to do my best since it is almost done.

Jeanette - Stay away from the mirror in the bathroom!!! My darn bathroom mirror does the same thing to me too, big blob(not saying that you are)!!! I much rather go to the other mirrors in the house as they make me look a little nicer.

Time to get ready for my day. I should probably run around a little to burn off the few glasses of vino I had last night:9.

I will try to bbl for personals. Have an xcellent day!!

Lea

Oh, 1 more thing I thought you'd all get a chuckle out of. After the 28 minute total body workout was finished last night (including warm up and cool down!), DH looked at me and said, "Well, that wasn't so bad. Pretty quick. How come it takes you so long to do your workouts? It seems like you go on for hours some days."

My jaw about dropped to the floor. Once I stopped belly-laughing I tried to explain to him, without sounding patronizing about his beginner workout and ruining his satisfied glow, that his workout was really just an introduction for his body to the world of weight training.

Too funny. All this time he's seen me working out, and never really had a clue....

Sandra

Good morning ladies!

It looks like you all have been very busy already this morning! I still haven't gotten up off the couch! I am feeling very pooped today for some reason...and am thinking about putting my workout off until tomorrow. I did Core Syn yesterday which I like and it went well for the most part. I need to get my eating back on track. I think that since my vacation that I have been eating less and my body is rebeling a bit and I am feeling pretty fatigued.

And to answer the questions about my tattoo....I got a butterfly with a scrolly thing on each side of it on my lower back. It actually bothered me a bit doing the Dreya rolls last night. lol. My DD is really into butterflies, so this was kind of a dedication to her. Let's see...the best thing I ate was probably the She Crab Soup...it's also oyster season down there and had lots of oysters prepared in different ways (including raw). We went on a horse carriage tour of downtown Charleston which was great. We also spent the night in Savannah at a historic inn there on the riverfront.

Let's see...on to some quick personals...

Traci...Have a blast at the Bay...Sounds wonderful!! I was glad to hear about how you switched things up with L&B...I thought about doing the same thing, but I thought my legs would be too fatigued to finish. So glad to know you made it through.

Tracy...I think it is impossible for your body to always make large gains in strength. At some point everyone plateaus...I think it's your body's way of catching up. I think the X is GREAT for breaking through those plateaus and making your body guess about what is coming next. But I can tell now that my body is not making the huge gains that I was at the beginning of the program. I am sure that part of that is mental, too, because I am getting bored with doing the same videos all the time. I think you are right to keep with the same weights and just raise your reps a bit.

Jeanette...Congrats on keeping with the program so far...I know you will be able to finish in a blaze of glory. And I just love that your DH let's you plan his workouts! Glad you felt good about CS..It's a toughie, but I really like the functional fitness aspects of it.

DB...It sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you this evening!! When reading about your weight work..I was wondering if you have Cathe's Slow and Heavy series. I really feel like that is going to be a great transition from the X since it focuses more on lifting heavy, but at a reasonable pace with plenty of rest between sets.

Laurie...Have fun with Stretch X...And congrats on your non-frizzy hair! I have the opposite problem...My is stick straight and thin!

Suz...I'm sure you know a bit more about your body than Tony...Everyone is different, right? Good luck in your final phase!

Hope I haven't missed anyone!

Hi to Monica, Lea, X, Steph and Sandra!! And to anyone I forgot! I'll let you guys know what I end up doing today. I may just need to stretch and then start phase 3 tomorrow with a positive attitude.

Hi to Sandra and Lea...we were all posting at the same time!

Sandra...DHs can be so clueless sometimes! God bless his little heart! I need a shower this morning too, but can't seem to get off my lazy a** and get going! Have fun with Core Syn!

Lea...Congrats on the upcoming end of your journey with the X! Way to go!!!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted sooner. I've been laying around in pajamas watching television -- I have the day off.

Well I had my test yesterday, but did not get to talk to the Dr. yet. I am waiting for a phone call either today or Monday. Hopefully I do not have to wait until Monday!!! I will call my Dr. this afternoon so she doesn't forget about me.

Yesterday morning was Yoga X -- and what a perfect workout for a stressful day. Honestly, I am feeling bored with Yoga X. It is difficult at many points, but I have a hard time staying focused for 90 minutes. I will probably start subbing another Yoga workout every other time for variety and less of a dreading the workout factor.

Today is Legs & Back, ARX and possibly Cardio X. I have been eating extremely bad, I think it is from stress. Seriously, I have had many many spoonfuls of Butterscotch sauce (ice cream topping) already this morning. Can't stay away from the stuff.

I am so excited -- purchased a bread machine!!! Last night I made my first loaf, a fat free basic wheat loaf. It is delicious. Tonight I may try to make challah. So in addition to the crap I have been eating, I will also be eating lots of bread. Oh well! I just better keep up with my doubles, eh?

May check back later for personals, no time right now, going to the grocery store today so I don't have to go during the Saturday crowd.

Take care everyone and thank you for your kind words,

Hi all,

I finished L&B for the last time for a while. I did a few extra squats and lunges before with moderate weight. For my grand finale I was able to do 8 unassisted chin ups in a row. I probably could have done a few more but I was scared to. I figured out how to really engage the core and it helped a lot. Then a couple of other whatever singles thrown in. My goal is at least 2 sets of 10 chin ups and 2 sets of 7 pull ups for next time. That may be a little lofty.

Not a lot of time for personals because the family is hungry. I'll catch up tomorrow. Just a couple that I can remember without having to open two screens.

Dallys - Thanks for posting your comment. You seem to workout consistently so I wasn't happy to see that you have lost strength. I'll definitely be incorporating pullups, chin ups, and pushups, in my post p90x rotation. I love what they have done to my upper body.

Monica - Glad to hear from you. I hope you get the results back sooner rather than later. I was eating a spoonful of Nutella last night for no real reason, so don't feel too bad. Oh, and I made white bread last night and ate a piece. I've been subbing yoga for the last couple of weeks. I just couldn't bear the 90 minutes.

Everyone enjoy Friday and your weekend.
