Hi all,

Just getting us started. I didn't sleep well last night and when I woke up at 6 I just got up. I've got a lot to do today, so no point trying to fight to sleep.

I hope everyone has a wonderful spring Sunday and it is as beautiful where you are as it it here.

Tracy

Happy Sunday to all!
Fever broke around 10pm so I am feeling like I might be human again soon. I do appreciate all the “get well” thoughts and have tried to keep up with current events.

Round 2: Phase 1 / Recovery Week / Day 1/ Yoga

Today starts RECOVERY week… good timing eh? I missed Legs & Back + Kenpo of last week but will just call that a wash. I’ve been doing enough “extras” so I don’t feel like I missed much.

Looks like we’ve had Wendy X & Nicole join us regularly….! Welcome to all!!!

Nicole: Sounds like you are off to a great start with Tony! Your pics are so darling… beautiful family. I’m sure they are very proud of mom for doing a tough program like X. Oh on KENPO- So glad you said that about sweating the first time… I think I was one of the few who got a great workout in with that one the first time… It cooks me by the final few moves.

Wendy X: I think you’re doing a BBC rotation? Cant wait to hear how that impacts your X results. I have that one sitting on the shelf just waiting to be used… I did each of the workouts 1X and must say I was impressed. I cant see myself doing the non TM cardio every day as it seems like doing Plyo daily but its AWESOME in terms of intensity and duration… work smarter not longer….

Tracy X: You seem to be well on your way to 100%! You’ve handled being on the injured list with dignity & grace- a true Xer!

Lea X: I see you are busy with your life these days… good for you- pop in when you can!

Sandra X: Don’t ya know I already have the honor of Miss !!!!! in posting! (see there I go again). Your trip must be coming up soon… Whats your fat attack plan this week? You could always get the flu & detox the carbs & sugars right out of yourself.

Jeanette X: Looks like we all need biking advice & tips now! Are you going to start charging us for your expertise? Hope you had a gallon of coffee on Free Friday night! Working is just like being in school… Different rules for “school nights”. Hope riding or DH time was wonderful this weekend. You fully embrace weekends more than anyone I know.

Debra X: Are you and DD wearing helmets???? How utterly fun for you! Why are you buying more “stuff” to move tho????

Laurie X: Lots of singing & dress up going on in your house these days! I imagine with the Faire getting so close you will be even busier now.

Wendy: Glad to see you still in fighting form! DH is doing terrific too!!! I LOL’d at your Recovery Week comment…I totally agree- recover from what exactly Tony?

Katie: Cracked up about watching infomercial… I do that with fit tv & cathe… while I was sick I watched her a lot! I think it helped me burn calories lying in bed!! So happy you are at the point of seeing Tony as a valuable asset in your training… He is by far the most inspiring coach for me… Cathe motivates me but Tony inspires me and takes away my self doubt.

Swift Amy: Enjoy Day 1 on Monday!!! Don’t ya think the X materials are a class act??? I found all the info to make a world of difference- I still read all the stuff!

TeddyGirl: I know you’re not connected on weekends but still hoping you are taking things easy (who am I kidding!)…

Amy: So lets have a contest as to who can spend the most money on workout stuff in April! We still have a full week! By the by…. The cheaper version of Bosu Ball arrived and will work just fine for me …. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Bosu Workout so it’s a great sub at a great price…. Do you need the link again????

As caught up as I’ll ever get gang…. Will try and post later but the house needs to be disinfected and sheets changed yet again! Trying to really ZAP all the lingering germs!

Good morning Tracy/i's and Gang!

I don't have any time to play today. I have a to-do list a mile long, including attempting to hammer out our taxes the old fashioned way with a form, pencil, and eraser. I enjoy doing math, but not when I know the results of my additions and subtractions could end up costing me money!

TraciX - Yay!!!!! You probably still feel weak and drained, but at least you're well enough to type! You poor thing; 2 days without coffee must mean that you're hammering it down today. :9 It's such a disappointment that you had to miss the concert last night. I agree that there's no need to go back and do KenpoX and LB. You're body probably worked harder over the past couple of days, just trying to zap all those germs. Obviously a dreadful sickness is terrific for weightloss, but I'll stick with the exercise and semi-clean eating, thank you. I don't have time to be sick! My plans this week are to just do some fun workouts that involve a mixture of cardio, and some lighter weight lifting. For some reason I have a bug to do Muscle Endurance, so I'll probably do that. And a high step workout. Possibly IMAX3 or Hi/Lo Extreme from HCE. I'm not sure yet. This girl just wants to have fun for the week. I have to figure out what workouts (if any) I'll take with me to Ontario. I'm not sure what my plan for that week will be.

TracyX - No, it's not beautiful here, so you must go out and soak up enough sunshine and fresh air for the both of us. Have a great day!

Yesterday I did Step Blast, but programmed my player to play it like this:
warm up
combo 1, challenge and blast #1
combo 2, challenge and blast #2
combo 3, challenge and blast #3
cool down/stretch.

I call this Step Blast B. It's fun, and intersperses the intensity throughout the workout instead of saving it all for the end.

I hope you all have a great day. If I get a chance I will do Finn's Magical Hips.

Cheers,
SandraX

Good Morning, gang!!!

Classic/Phase 1/Week 2/Day 4 (?)

Yesterday should have been Shoulder/Arms (I think), but changed it for the rest day since I tend to be wiped out after getting off my work schedule. So today is S/A. I still need to try StretchX just to try, so I may tack that on at the end.

TraciX- I am so glad that you are feeling better! I hear you about the April money going to workouts. I feel like I'm bipolar when it comes to that sometimes. I'll go MONTHS without spending money on anything, then, BAM, It's nonstop! I just ordered Powerstrike from Collage this morning!!! Yikes! I will look into the pseudo-BOSU again, but I will probably not get it yet. (Maybe I'll wait until May ;))

SandraX- Your new StepBlast combo sounds like a lot of fun! I know what you mean about the blasts at the end, too!!!

This morning is absolutely beautiful and my daylilies have buds on them!!! I just planted them last summer, so I've yet to see them bloom. My regular lilies are getting big as well. I planted them last summer as well, and was able to squeek out 2 blooms late last summer, one of which I didn't get to see because I was out of town when it opened! I hope that everyone else has a great day! I'll "see" you all later!

Lovely Sunday it is!

Traci-X: Relieved you are feeling almost human again. I feel bad that you weren't able to go to the concert last night with your friends. Did your Toxic Infecting DH stay home with you? I'm sure he did. With love. I'm always asking Phil if he'll do things for me... With love. "Honey, can you massage me? With love?" :D It's a shame that I now have to get sick in order to flush carbs and sugar out of my system. When I was younger and healthier, I always lost weight when I fought with my ex. Needless to say I was skin and bones!!! :7 Take care of yourself today! Better yet, have dh take care of you today. With love.

Sandra-X: Since you enjoy math, you wanna come over and teach dd mixed fractions? ;-) Paying taxes suck! But, I suppose not having roads, sewers, and clean water would suck worse. Just my poor attempt at helping you feel better about owing $. Didn't help, huh. Is today your rest day?

Tracy-X: Have fun soaking up the sun! Carpe diem!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Kitchen Floor: Check
Debris cleared: Check
Kenpo: I

Doing Kenpo as soon as I post. Phil worked till midnight last night. But, we have a fully supported, level kitchen floor ready to be tiled! I won't know how to walk in my kitchen. It's like learning to walk in tennis shoes after wearing heels all the time. (Seriously, that happened to me. Sneakers was a learning curve. With a bad fall!!!) Anyhow, I told Phil not to make-up Kenpo. He did enough work on his abs, arms, back, and legs.

Did CS make anyone's back hurt in a good way? Can one gets DOMS in their back? I feel it up and down the sides of my spine. I think the picking it up and putting it away on the shelf contributed. Did I do CS correctly? I had the boys take turns giving me a back rub. No, it wasn't with love. It was with threats and bribery. }(

Well, I shall get to it. Maybe after I buy more batteries for my camera, I can bribe the neighborhood kids into taking some family pics. ;-)

Hello Debra, Laurie, Jeanette, Nicole, Amy, Swift Amy, Jess, Wendy-X, Katie, Lea, Debfer, and anyone else who I might of missed. Have a great day ladies!

Wendy

Yes, I'm procrastinating!

Sandra-X: Was it you who asked why one of my twins didn't look happy after her haircut? She HATES getting her picture taken. It's the flash that bothers her. I actually have to get all Alec Baldwin on her to get her to smile. Honestly, if I don't sharply tell her to smile, she won't! Maybe, it's not the best way to induce a smile. I doubt I'll be getting a job a Picture People anytime soon. Ha-Ha Anyhow, she looks like she's bored with life in most of her pictures. She really does love her new haircut. I love it too. It's so much easier!!! They wake up and it looks great!

Okay, Kenpo is staring at me. Gotta go hit it.

Wendy

Hey Girls!

I will come back for personals later but I just wanted to let y'all know that my 90 day pics are up if you are interested.

TraciX: Glad you are feeling better!

Hi to all,

Not much time today. I just finished L&G extreme standing minus the second round with ankle weights and then Tone. I have to go shower and get going. I hope everyone gets everything accomplished that they have on their list for today.

Traci - Glad you are feeling a little better. Yoga will be just the right thing to gently get the body moving again. It must have been some bug.

Sandra - I never add without a calculater, but I am counting the seconds while I pee.

Wendy - Clean some for me will you?

Wendy fit mom - I'll have to catch the pictures later. I wish I'd taken some.

Amy -Glad you are having a nice day too. I was beginning to wonder where spring was.

Later,

Tracy

Good morning,

No workout this morning, yet. I was hoping the drizzle would stop and I could get in a bike ride. Don't think that will happen today, but tomorrow after work looks like a good day for a climbing ride. Our first bike club hill climb series begins on Thursday. I'm looking at the wine kit and should get motivated and start that. Seems like a good day for it. Also need to dust and clean a bathroom.

Traci, so glad you are doing a little better, but don't push it too much today or you will relapse. A very gentle yoga sounds good. So sorry you missed the concert. Know you really wanted to go, but stuff like that happens occasionally. I'm feeling soreness in my triceps and chest from I think Squeeze. Who would think 2# weights could do that kind of damage? No charge for any of the bike tips at all. I actually know enough to be dangerous, like most of my fields of expertise.

Sandra, your Step Blast workout sounds good. If I only knew how to program the DVD player... Making wine sounds so much easier.

Amy, enjoy those flowers today. It's very drizzly here right now and looks like snow on the hilltops. We so need the moisture up here so guess it's okay. I ordered some bulbs from my nephew who's school is selling them for a fundraiser. Hope they get here soon.

Wendy, you are cracking me up about the back rub. I used to ask my DS to rub my feet and he'd say, okay Mom. He would rub them for a little while, then he'd run his fingernail down the bottom of my foot, sending me up the wall!!! He'd laugh and say he wouldn't do it again, and like a sucker I'd believe him. He is still such a little tease. I was getting massages regularly, the kind you pay for, but now have quit those and using the $$ to have my hair highlighted. Miss the massages though. DOMS on the side of your spine I think are a good thing. Probably something so different in CS that you were doing. That's a great workout and I need to get that one out sometime to "shock the system". My nephew ALWAYS makes some kind of face in a picture (just like his Dad), or if he's in the background, he's making a face in someone else's picture.

WendyX, great results and your 90 day pictures are awesome!! You definitely got leaner!!! We'll be seeing you on P90X (the sequel). Way to go!! Thanks for sharing.

Tracy, be careful in the shower!!! Just kidding! Good workout today and hope you cross lots of stuff off of your list.

Jeanette

Hey!

Workout is done. I really did my best to push myself for Shoulders & Arms, then tacked on the Arms/Triceps portion of Squeeze. Holy cow! I started out with #2 weights and quickly dropped all the weight and my arms were still quivering by the end!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Hi girls!

I just finished BBC Full Body. No cardio for me today.

Tracy: Sorry about your lack of sleep. That happens to me too so I know how you feel. I hope you sleep better tonight!

SandraX: Hope you got everything on your list accomplished! I went to the beachbody website and found out that you have to join their milliondollar body club to enter the contest. Ofcourse it costs $ too! Needless to say I did not enter. I DID however, try to post my pics on their forum but kept having trouble. I will try again tonight or tomorrow.

Amy: How was S&A today? That's a great work out, isn't it? }(

Wendy: I agree that Phil did not need to make up Kenpo after all of the work he did!:) Did you enjoy your work out today?

Jeanette: TY re X pics. Cleaning a bathroom today? Want to come and clean mine too? ;) LOL

Hi ladies...Hope you are all having wonderful Sundays! I had planned on doing yoga today, but I was really wiped out after my trip to the antique show...so, I just counted all the walking I did as exercise...Maybe not cardio, but exercise none the less. Also, my buttocks and legs are sore from B&G the other day...and the 45 minute bike ride yesterday. It's been a while since I was on a bike...and I had forgotten about the whole sore butt thing! It was beautiful here today...and I actually got sunburned at the fair today!

TraciX...So sorry you missed your concert! That really su**s! Glad you are on the mend, though. I promise I won't go antiquing again if you promise not to buy any more workout DVDs...LOL!! And, yes, DD and I got helmets and wore them yesterday. You are one to talk, though...LOL! Hope you got the house completely fumigated and got rid of all of those pesky germs!

SandraX...Hope you got those taxes done today...And that Eion helped you with the nectar and hips. I, too, have bladder issues...and am sure that I visit the potty way too frequently....and beware my bladder is remotely full and I sneeze...not a pretty sight! I love your SB idea! I will try that next time.

Amy...Glad you had fun with S&A...it's one of my faves. Don't you just love when the flowers start to bloom...especially the ones you planted yourself!

Wendy...WooHoo!! Congrats on your kitchen...and kenpo, too!

TracyX..Hope you had a good day with the great weather.

JeanetteX...Hope you got a ride in today and your weather improved some for you. I got a bike yesterday, if you didn't see. A Gary Fisher Marlin. I am very excited with it and am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it. I also got DD her first 2 wheeler (with training wheels, of course)...It is a Trek...pink and purple complete with a basket and streamers..and a matching helmet! Hope the cleaning went well...and what was that about a wine kit?!? I must know more!

WendyX...Wow! You look amazing! Kudos to you!

Okay ladies...off for now...DD has no school tomorrow, so we will spend another day together tomorrow....she has a gift card for Limited 2 that she wants to use. See ya! And happy workouts to all! Sandra, did I use enough !!!! for you today?!?

Good evening,

Today was a strange day. No workout and no bike ride. Drizzled all day and then this afternoon, flat hailed hard!!!! And lightning too!!! DH and I went out to breakfast (guess what I had?) The oatmeal was good with brown sugar and raisins. I kept thinking I might get some kind of workout in, but our DS and his girlfriend's son were here so no workout. It was okay though. Tomorrow should be beautiful and I'll get in a good bike ride after work.

Wine making. It started out a complete disaster. I kept getting different ingredients mixed up and washed all the winemaking items in the wrong packet. Don't even ask. Finally put the juice into the big fermenter (6 gallons of red liquid) and then I notice that there is juice leaking on the kitchen floor, coming from around a spout that just won't seal. Of course I try to get DH to help and he has to scrub up his arms because he has to reach into this big vat of fluid to tighten a nut that I'm thinking I didn't tighten enough. Still leaking. We take it all outside and try to silicone around the spout. No workey. I ended up driving over to my mom's and getting another glass container and siphoning all of the contents to it. I'm hoping it will work. It looks like it is fermenting and bubbling so that's good. I hope this stuff isn't too touchy because we had it out in the rain and cold. Oh well.

Wendy, I did not clean the bathroom. Did not dust. Did not do a thing. I feel blah today. Will actually be glad to be going back to work and back in the fast lane.

Debra, glad the antique show was good. All that walking and standing and shopping really tires me out. I think it's as good as a workout for sure. You will not believe this... my mtn. bike is also a Gary Fisher Marlin!!! It's a blue one. I bought it in 1999 and still ride it. My DH bought a bike at the same time and his is a Gary Fisher Tassajara. My Avatar is of me on my Gary Fisher Marlin. I am blown away that you and I have the same one!!! How cool!!! Your DD's bike sounds really pretty, I need streamers too!!! Hope you both have many, many good, fun rides together. There's just something about riding. Freedom, the wind in my face, the tailwind at my back. It's all good. Except when it's drizzling today and I don't want to be out in the weather. Oh yeah, the wine is an Australian Shiraz. I think the kit is by Vintnor's Reserve (hope I have that spelled right). We've made a couple of batches in the past but it's been a while now. Kind of fun to do. We've got all the equipment so why not? It'll be complete in around a month or so I think. My other sister has a BIG corker and it really goes fast to cork those babies.

Got to go watch a movie now. Casino Royale I think.

Jeanette
