Hi gang- getting us started... Storms since 2am so mommy and "kids" up and busy! Today is StrikeZone !
Shall get back later with personals but happy to see everyone doing well. Tracy.... I have no experience in this type of injury but I sure hope you can get a referral ffor a specialist soon!
Back to chat it up if DH gets out today to fish.

Hey gang. Up early. Hold on, coffee just beeped, yay!!! Mmmmm:9 . Yesterday was busy busy busy. I hope I finally got that toilet fixed. How much fun it is to get the water out of the toilet and take it off of the floor. You just don't know what you are missing;-) . I get to go "healthy" food shopping today, finally as I have been giving myself permission to eat and eat whatever I want. And baseball finally starts(DH's favorite sport) and his team is playing tonight, so SIL is coming over to watch too.

All right, enough about my exciting life:

Tracy X - OOOoooooo...I sure hope that storm passes soon. You poor thing. When do you ever get any sleep? You are working out today? You are not going to take a rest day before starting XX tomorrow???

Wendy - Ahhhh..what a sweet thing to say. We love having you around. You seem like a very sweet lady. Plyo X is a tough one. I think I felt that one all over, but I can let you know on Tuesday!! I totally agree with the past is the past and we are better people for it. The teen and 20's were rough for me too, but fortunately I met my DH and he has supported me all the way to become a better person. I agree that the teenagers these days don't give a hoot about their bods(and they should, since the styles are so skimpy). My cat does have diabetes and we just found out because she went into diabetic shock two weeks ago. But she is better now. LOL on shoving your 6 year old to the end of the bed.

Jeanette X - Look how tough and in shape you are getting. Not sore from B&G? That is so unheard of. You go girl. I order you to do double firewalkers!!! Your outings sound really fun. Kind of reminds me when I was growing up and there was nothing really around but dirt and mountains all of the 4X that us kids did. Dangerous, but fun. Thank you for the explanation on the English and Western riding. I always tell my DH that I wasn't meant to be a Cali girl. I LOVE watching all the rodeo's, monster truck races and want a ranch. Have a great ride today. I hope that the weather cooperates for you!

Debra X - Have a great time at the flea market. Gosh, haven't been to one of those in ages. What a great idea. I hope that you find some deals. Did your DD have fun at her party last night?

Tracy X - Oh Tracy. I hope you can get your problem taken care of very soon. How frustrating that must be for you. Thank you for all of the information though. Very interesting. And don't worry about talking about yourself, we love hearing about you. That news story in Texas sounds AWFUL. I really don't understand some people. I agree that the environment is messing all of us up. Especially with the weather being so funky these days. Hope that you are feeling a little better today and that you are actually able to sit.

Sandra X - No. I didn't tack on the tricep extensions, even though I should have. I had fun with segment 5 though. That was the extra 6 minutes of cardio huh? Very fun. Thank you for all of the info on the programmable mixes. I don't have a programmable dvd player in my workout room though. How was your guest visit yesterday? Only one more day to go and back to normal life with the kids eh? I hope that you and DD are feeling better today.

Hi to Laurie, Monica, Steph, and Katie.

Lea

Good morning,

TracyX - I'm very pleased to hear that you got some cardio in yesterday, although sorry to hear that your back is still giving you so much grief. I have never heard of the body part that you are talking about. I'm afraid I can't offer any suggestions about where to go for help. Like a couple of other people, my first thought was to go to a physical therapist. That's very interesting about soft tissue injuries. I kind of figured something like that was happening, as people so commonly reinjure the same muscles.
An allergy to citric acid? How did you figure that out? That's a hard thing to avoid, I would imagine? And does that mean you can't eat fruits like oranges, apples, etc.? It's hard to "eat clean" if you can't eat fruit! I agree that our environments are making us sicker :(

DebraX - I like your combo of PP and PUB! Neat! Sounds like you had a great workout! Yes, I survived the playdate, but again, overindulged a bit, which then triggered more overindulgences after dinner. That's my real problem: a "reasonable" treat in the afternoon turns into "unreasonable" treats after dinner. I sure am tired of beating myself up every night. I've got to change something. Today is the LAST social event of the week: dinner at a friend's house. I haven't decided yet whether to make this Clean Eating Day 1, or wait until tomorrow, when I won't have to deal with social eating. I will probably go to the grocery store this morning - like you, not my favourite way to spend the day.

JeanetteX - BG leg blast didn't leave you sore?? Go back and do it again! ;) Strikezone was enjoyable, was it? Okay, I'll definitely do it some time this week. I agree with you about the colour scheme on the video- looks like something out of the '80s. I usually find, though, that when I'm working out I barely notice that kind of stuff. I'm too busy working out! I'm trying your banana-cut-up-into-oatmeal thing this morning. I have Steel Cut oats simmering on the stove as I type this. We all definitely have a cold, except DH. Myself and the 2 dds are coughing, sniffling, and complaining about sore throats. I actually prefer to have a cold over allergies. Colds are over quicker than allergies. And I love Sudafed :) Did you get the new pics up on the trail yet?

Wendy - Hello! I love having a couple of first-rounders with us this time! It helps make it all feel fresh for the rest of us. I remember that chest/back DOMS very well! And I have a hunch I'll be feeling it again myself in a couple of days! PlyoX didn't give me inner thigh doms. I think I felt it in my core the most. Or maybe that was ARX. Who knows - they all work in concert. How did you like KenpoX today?

TraciX - Good morning! How is life by the bay today? It sounds like you're not getting much sleep! When do you come home?

I'd love to do either yoga or stretching today, but have a feeling that it won't happen. DH is going to sand the drywall in the basement and plans to hibernate down there for the day. Given that drywall sanding apparently makes an atrocious mess throughout the house, I might take the kids and leave. Maybe grocery shopping. I'm not sure yet what the day will hold. Me and the girls are going to a friend's house for dinner, so we'll be gone by mid-afternoon at the least.

I've got my new dumbells for the back portion of tomorrow's workout. I love the looks of Cathe's April '07 rotation! I was tempted to do that instead, but no I'll force myself to stay on track with you all. Maybe I'll do that rotation when I'm done with this one. I'm thinking, however, that her 15 min cardio blast might be a good thing to tack on to some of the P90X upper body weight days. Not sure yet.

Okay, time to go. Have a great day,
SandraX

Good Afternoon TraciX, Lea and SandraX,

I don't have my P90X book here. I think Day 4's classic rotation calls for YogaX. I could be wrong. It could be KenpoX. Dh is ready for a break from weights. ;-) We'll do whatever Day 4 calls for when we get home tonight. I'll be back late tonight for personals and a PhilZX report. :)

Wendy

Hi ladies...You are very quiet today! Hope you guys all all having a great April Fool's Day...with DH in Russia...no one here for me to play tricks on! DD and I went to the flea market this morning until it started raining. I didn't get anything too exciting...but I did find some sheep for my mom who collects them...so now I have some for the rest of the holidays this year. I was heading back to get this great birdcage...but then I saw 2 guys walking around with it! GRRR! Of course, I got home and realized that I should have gotten a couple of hat boxes I saw...but oh, well. They have this flea market once a month...so I'll just head back in a few weeks. There is also a great antique show here in another 3 weeks that I am really looking forward too. I love this time of year!

I am planning on getting in some cardio today...I am either going to do CC#4 on the treadmill or I have an Amy Bento step video from flickety fit that I haven't tried yet. I have a showing on the house in an hour, though, so it will have to wait until I get home after that. I am also going to start a healthy eating diet tomorrow. I have not done a good job lately of controlling my snacks or even my meals for that matter...and I can tell a difference in my waistline! ACK! So...I will be cutting carbs some and trying to eat a lot of lean protein and veggies...I did a really good job at it during the first few weeks of the X...but then my life took a turn, and I really didn't concentrate on my diet and have just been eating what I want...And although I have only gained a couple of pounds...I just don't feel good and am bloated all the time...So it is time to buckle down and get serious about eating healthier.

Enough about me...on to some personals!

Jeanette...Thanks so much for all the info on equestrian riding....I imagine DD will be more interested in English...but we'll try both and see what she has a feel for. I'll have to try the Janis kickboxing to see if I like it. Glad you enjoyed it yesterday. Hope you had fun on your club ride today. I got a great mental picture of you dogs in the shower yesterday!

Wendy...LOL about the Cesar Milan comment...I watch that show all the time...but it doesn't help me! DH is really good about doing all the things he says...but I'm too easy going to be too strict on my pooch! You should be doing yogaX today...I will be curious to her your and your DH's comments after that one! My DH is just like a board...he can't even touch his toes!

Sandra...Thank goodness this is your last day of vacation...I don't know if you could stand much more! Sorry you guys all have colds...don't cough all over DH. Good luck on your new rotation tomorrow!

Traci...Hope you are having a good time at the bay today...You must be psyched to start your beloved X tomorrow! Tell those pups to settle down and let their poor mom get some sleep. I used to have a cat that was terrified of thunderstorms...but he just hid under the sofa...he didn't keep me awake.

Lea...Hope your potty is all better! Pick me up some healthy food while you are at the store. Have fun with baseball tonight...And good luck on your new rotation tomorrow!

Hi to Tracy, Katie, Steph, and Laurie...Hope you are all well and have had no major tricks played on you today!

Hi gang! Well DH & I packed it up and came home a day early due to weather... Its GORGEOUS in Houston today tho so that s agood thing. DH will go ahead and work tomorrow and take Easter Monday off so we'll still get a long weekend starting with Good Friday!
I decided since I start P90X Doubles again tomorrow that I would take a rest day... All the loading of cars and stair climbing make it an active rest day tho!

I PROMISE personals tomorrow before dawn!!!! I just gotta get all this stuff put away and laundry strated before its time to feed "kids".

Happy to hear how "happy" everyone is on "Fools Day!" (I like that better too!)

I'll post my alraming starting stats tomorrow toox( and will NOT be calculating the damage I did in my 60 days after X round 1! I know the numbers are better than pre X last time but not as good as post X. Can this much damage really be done in 60 days???????????

ANYWAY! I am so READY for Day 1!

Hi all,

Today was low impact cardio, ie walking and maybe some floorwork. I am desperate. Yesterday I did HSC upper body only. In between exercises, I subbed a set of 20-25 complimentary pushups. It was a nice workout.

Jeanette – I didn’t get DOMS from the leg blast premix either, but my legs did feel fatigued. I used to ride horses years ago. At one point we might have had 8, but I haven’t ridden in 20 years. It would have to be a really calm horse for me to get on one now! I hope that your ride went well.

Sandra – To me, there is nothing worse than drywall dust. It goes everywhere. Good luck on the clean up. I don’t envy you. I’m allergic to processed citric acid, which is in a lot of foods and products, but I can eat all fruits except lemon. It is a challenge to manage, but it helps me to stay away from lots of processed foods. I liked the looks of the April rotation and when I’m better, I think that is what I’m going to do.

Lea – I hope that you found some appealing healthy foods. If you did, please share. I am definitely in a food rut. What project is next?

Wendy – Have fun with yoga X. I can’t wait to here your DH’s reaction to 90 minutes of yoga. It too, is much harder than it looks.

Traci – Sorry it wasn’t nice at the bay. You survive on much less sleep than I do. I don’t know how you do it. It’s interesting that the stats change so quickly. The older you get, use it or loose it surely becomes true; in so many ways.

Debra – What’s that old saying? He who hesitates is lost? I’m very indecisive when it comes to buying stuff too. I’m not much of a shopper. It is hard to eat well when you don’t have a goal in place. My protein intake has gone way down and I feel kind of mushy.

Happy Sunday to all who follow.

Tracy

Well I do have time for personals after all- DH has another 1/2 hr of golf watching.

Tracy: Your modified workouts sound like my full blown days! Ya know its so true about how much quicker we lose "it" as we age. Thtas probably the most noticeable part of getting older for me. Actually the "damage" I did was all in March. February I actually continued to show improvements. I think I just slacked off on the heavy weights and my eating was much more lax. I really hope you find out exactly whats wrong and how to correct it very soon. You love your hardcore workouts far too much to be down for long. I will continue to send positive vibes your way.

Debra: Sounds like you & I will both be cleaning up our eating acts this month! I congratulate you for sticking with workouts while DH was home ... I give in so easily to "extra rest days". You and I will help hold ourselves accountable this month! You do seem like you have lots of fun outdoor activities going on now! That must be a blast for you to share with your DD.... Take care of that wrist!

Wendy: LOL on being a bit "lost" without your manual! In about 4 weeks you'll have it down and then he changes the workouts on you! I think its WONDERFUL about you & DH... I doubt todays YOGA will feel much like a break tho...}( Its murder on me and I think its harder for men. Cant wait to hear the "choice words" that may get uttered! Oh YES I do indeed get sore from Plyo X! Everything from waist down feel that one!

Sandra: well you are all set & ready to go tomorrow! I'm with you & Tracy- loved Cathes April rotation... Oh well... another time & place! Hope you and girls escaped the drywall mess! Sorry about the colds in the family! You are REALLY battling uphill starting X Rd 2! Perhaps a nice hot cup of tea tonight? BTW: DH got me the indoor grill I wanted plus another gift certificate to the Aveda Spa. I think rather than a facial tho I am going to wait and use it for one of those P90X weeks where I can hardly move and go for a massage!

LEA: ARE YOU READY!!!???!!! ... What is your plan for doubles ? I am starting with Intensity Series DVDs so tomorrow AM I'll be doing ARX + Cardio & Weights as produced. In Afternoon I'll do our beloved Chest & Back (aka: pushup hell!) Oh yes I see you on a ranch! A very upscale one of course with loads of eye candy as the hands. HOORAY on the toilet victory & the healthy shopping.... READY, SET, GOOOO!
DH taking my before pics as soon as Golf is over....URRRRRRRRRRRR

Jeanette: So glad you liked StrikeZone... I had to laugh because I didnt notice walls! I hope you are out on a long wonderful ride today!!!

Katie: Dont know if you'll back paddle on Monday when you get a computer but just wanted to say HI! Hope your weekend was terrific! 7 more days!!!!

Laurie: Hope you are having a little "down" time this weekend! I know you are very busy these days.

Steph: Are you still with us???? Maybe I've been passing you in the night or something. MISS YOU!

Thats it for me.... Gotta go take those before pics.... NO LAUGHING... See ya all in the morning!

Good afternoon,

Today was our club's group bike ride. Only 5 of us showed today, think because it was pretty breezy out. We did lots of hills (short ones) today and I got a great workout in. Think we did 30 some miles, but to me it's like doing more when you are battling the wind and doing hills. My legs weren't fatigued at all, so pleased with that.

Lea, I know that toilet is fixed now. It wouldn't dare cause any problems any more. Hope the healthy shopping was good and that you are excited about the change. Yesterday's 4-wheeling ride was fun, but very, very dusty. Alkali dust, yuk. Thought I'd be coughing up stuff today but no. I did wake up with swollen eyes from the dryness. They are much better now. Bike ride today was great and all I wanted. Pushed myself on some of the short hills.

Sandra, I must admit, while doing B&G Leg Blast, I only used 5# for the high step work. I've been enjoying the results of Slim Series so much that I didn't want to do too much weight. Still, I thought I would be sore. Maybe it's because the floor work isn't in that premix? Hope the cold is better today. Knock on wood, I haven't had one since... oooh, better not talk about it and jinx myself. Steel cut oats, they always seem to spill over onto the stove when I cook them. Have you ever tried cooking barley and eating it like oatmeal? It's good too. I try to stay away from Sudafed as it keeps me awake at night. I am soooo wired when I take that stuff. Thanks for reminding me about posting to my Picture Trail. Got to do that. Yep, drywall dust is awful, awful. It will be covering everything. I went thru that at Christmas time as DH patched some cracks in the ceiling and sanding is always involved with that. The rotation for April looks fun, but more cardio than what I've been doing. Less is still working for me :7, but that could change. Just when I figure it out, it changes.

Debra, the flea market sounds like fun. Maybe I will start collecting sheep too. I bought a picture the other day for my kitchen and it's of a sheep and I have a Willaraye figurine of a sheep that I love too. Whatever your daughter decides re: the riding will all be good. I don't think one is better than the other at all. It was such a passion for so many years and now it's gone, and not really even missed. Funny. I still have my horse trailer, saddles, gear all that stuff that I'll keep for a while. Who knows, I may get the hankering to bring a colt along. That's what I really enjoyed, the training of a horse, much more than the riding. Hope the showing of your house goes well. Clean eating, hmmmm, I do okay some days, but not so well when DH brings chips into the house. Love the salty stuff.

Traci, glad you are getting a rest day in today. You will be rarin' to go tomorrow!

Tracy, have you made a decision to see someone about your hip? Sounds painful. Could it be sciatica? Glad you got to do some type of workout and way to go on getting those pushups in.

I need to make up next week's rotation. Hmmmm, hoping my Jari Loves show up soon. Still doing a Slim Series type rotation as it's been working wonderfully for me. Shhhh, don't tell my body, it'll change up.

Jeanette

Hi ladies...I'm back with thanks to all of you who recommended Cardio Coach...I did #4 with Sean today and had a blast...and felt great. That is saying something from a person who really doesn't like running! I need to do some tweaking with my HR numbers...but I thought it went well for my first time...Of course, I am already thinking which one to get next...I hear good things about #6...Give me some opinions. I previewed Amy's workout..and I don't think I am going to like it...Her style is SO different from Cathe's....which is okay if your aren't choreographically challenged...but as you can all imagine...I am not so quick at picking up new steps...so, it's good that I rented it instead of buying it! I think I have some Tracey Stahles (sp?) coming next...one is the core conditioning. I am planning on doing PLB tomorrow + lower body from push pull and abs from somewhere.

Also...I will be posting..maybe later tonight...my DVDs that are up for grabs...I don't want any money for them...just continuing on with my spring cleaning.

Traci...Sorry the weather at the bay wasn't good...but at least I'm not jealous! You have a long weekend to look forward to, though. You are already so good with your eating...and much more strict than I am..I can't even believe you have room for improvement! I am going to keep a food and exercise journal, which I am hoping will keep me on track. I want to follow the phase 2 eating plan from the X...but I will probably order the Tosca book from Amazon....I have a couple of gift certificates I found while cleaning out those drawers!

Tracy...Sorry you are still in so much pain...I am usually not so cautious on my purchases...I actually tend to be too impulsive, but of course, not at the time I should be! I am planning on using my Cathe calendar to help me keep track of my weight and measurements...I will be measuring in the morning...after the bloat of today is gone. Hopefully this will also help me keep track of my progress...and keep me honest too!

Jeanette...Glad you had a good time on your ride today. The sheep I got today were really cute...I may even keep one for myself. It is a chenille tea dyed stuffed sheep with sassafras stems for legs...all hand made in Illinois. I also have a sheep wall hanging in my dining room which my DH hates...but I love! Hope those Jaris come soon...Let us know what your rotation is going to be.

Okay...I'm off for now...gotta cook dinner...hugs to all!

Hi everyone. Catching up before baseball starts:

Sandra X - Thanks for sticking with us all for tomorrow. I know you are prepared. Have to go check out the April rotation just out of curiousity. I am happy that you got new dumbells.

Wendy - Happy April Fool's to you too!!

Debra X - YAY for CC #4. It's a toughie. I love Cesar Milan too. He is such a doll. Have him come over and train my kids darn it x(. Thank you for the good wishes. Sorry it rained on you today.

Tracy X - So sorry that you have to go through all of this pain. Believe me, I know how frustrating it can be. I did go healthy shopping and it felt good not to pick up any wine or beer and to see all of the fruits and veggies in my cart. The project I have next is deciding what color to paint the living room. It blends into all of the other rooms so I have to be careful. But, please take care of yourself ok?

Traci X - I am SOOOO ready. Have my sheets printed with ROUND 2 on them. I think I am going to stick to the schedule. Do doubles on weeks 5 and so on. My body will be in enough shock just eating healthy. Sorry you had to come home early(NOT). But bad for you. Can't wait for those pics girl!!!

Jeanette X - WOW, the ride today sounded really tough. You must have some strong legs woman!!! Thanks for your encouragement with the toilet. We will see tomorrow. Just waiting for that caulk to dry. But I think I am getting to know the toilet intimately, which is probably not a good thingx(. And I have to say one thing...mmmmmm...chips......love love love and will miss the salt:(.
Good luck planning your rotation.

I think I am all caught up now. Looks like DH want to use the computer. Everyone have a grand night, and good like to all of the XXers and Xers. New round a coming](.

Lea

We didn't get home until around 8:00 PM. Had to tune dd's harp and unpack before DH and I could start YogaX. It was different. Some of the core moves reminded me of Callenetics. Some of stretches were familiar ones. I just feel tired right now. Dh was breathing deeply for the most part. He didn't have much to say except for, "This is NUTS! But, I LIKE it!" :7 We both broke a sweat doing it. It is tough!

I hope y'all can forgive me for not doing personals right now. I just finished doing personals for the RT check-in. I'll be back tomorrow to chat and check in with everyone's Day 1. My bed is calling for me.

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy
