Hi all,

Just starting us off. It's another wet day here in the east, but we so desperately need the rain.

Tracy

Good morning,

Tracy, I'm glad you're finally getting some rain! We got our first snowfall of the year yesterday. It's gone now, but I'm not kidding myself...there will be more! I hear you about the long vacation stress. I think I neglect vacation planning because it doesn't seem worth all the stress of putting our life on hold, and all the work that has to be done both before and after. It doesn't feel like much of a vacation.

Debra, How's the Morning After? Dropping DD at her grandmother's for the night is a better thing to do than to bring her along on the date, so I'll still give you the Good Mother title. Oh, those trails sound like fun! Pssssst. Here's a secret I'll only tell you. Everyone else, look away. (I've never seen the Wizard of Oz. When people talk about scarecrows, tin men, witches, red shoes, and Dorothy I only vaguely know what they're talking about). Okay, confession over. The rest can come back again. The next time I do PY4H I'll check out the woman you're referring to. My w/o yesterday wasn't quite 90 minutes, which I don't consider overly long. It's my preferred length, actually, if I'm combining weight and cardio work.

Carol, Does Cathe do LIS on the 6" step? That's surprising, she usually goes up to 8" for the low-impact stuff. There's a slight possibility that I might be doing X Round two around the time you do yours. My DH has just started P90, and I've challenged him to P90X when he finishes. That will be around mid-January. My family is relatively disease free, on both sides, but there are many cases of mental disorders on both sides. Not fun.

Nicole, Has DH gone on a business trip? Does he go away very often? The tv coverage of the fires has reduced dramatically, which gives us the illusion up here that things are under control. I'm sorry to see that it's not. Where has your mother gone? To stay with you?

This weekend I am sooooo pleased to say that we have NO plans! The four of us are just hanging around together for two whole days!! DH wants to go clothes shopping (the fact that he's pleading to go is an indication of the wretched state of his wardrobe), I want to take the kids swimming at the YMCA, and that's about it.

I'll be heading downstairs in a bit to do KickMax, without the leg conditioning drills. PLB stability ball floor work done twice this week was all the leg conditioning I need, thank you very much!!!

Hello to the rest of the Xers!!!!

Cheers,
Sandra

Hi again,

I'm doing legs and cario today. I'll probably try to run tomorrow if it clears up.

Sandra - I'm contemplating some KB, but I'm not sure yet. A relaxing weekend with nothing planned. That's unusual for you isn't it? Is the Wizard of Oz an American thing? I can totally understand your not having seen it. I hate to admit that there are some cultural American classics that I havn't seen or read either.

Debra - I hope you had a nice time on the date. I may have to order that Eion dvd just for the instruction on proper alignment.

Jeanette - I like the complex choreography too. It keeps me from getting so bored. At least there isn't a ton of repetition in the new dvds.

Nicole - Sorry the worst is not over. It must be so difficult to evacuate. How is the air? Continually breathing in smoky air cannot be good.

TG - I hope things are settling down. It usually takes me at least a week after I eat cra%.

Hi to all who follow.

Tracy

Happy Saturday Xers!

Today's workout will be BC from the 4DS later on. It's STILL raining, so no soccer games today (my 2 older kiddos both play, so we're usually at the soccer fields Saturday mornings). Later on I'm heading to my mom's 'cause my nephew's baptism is tomorrow morning. I'm kind of nervous about it after this week of crap from her, but knowing her, she'll pretend like nothing happened, which is ok by me. DH won't be with me, either, as he's a Penn State football season ticket holder and their game of the season is tonight. I hope my mom's on her best behavior. Anyway, BBL for personals. I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

Round2/Phase3/Week10/Day2/PlyoX – complete!

Not real peppy at start of the workout. The legs are strong, I looked in the mirror closely and good news! The area above the knee is no longer shaking when I walk. It’s firm! Yeah! I attribute this to the doubles (bike rides) during Phase 1.

Onward to some personals++++

=== Sandra==== Going to the movie was a rare treat. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting by myself, I know people who would consider it taboo to go anywhere by themselves. Not me. I too am in charge of the cupcakes for DD’s Halloween party. Haven’t made up my mind what kind I’ll make (thinking something sans icing and doing a crème filling). What type will you mixing up? Last year I dipped handmade caramel apples. That was fun. Enjoy your downtime this weekend with the family. The arnica gel came into my world after my bike vs. groundhog incident. It seems to work wonders on my bruise. It doesn’t grow in PA I think in the western US.

=====Carol==== The game is making news here on the other side of the state. Gee! That is some big rival! What team does your family root for in the NFL? We’re Steeler fans here. DD’s grandma just gave her the first Steeler apparel last night. A pink and white jersey with a sparkly logo on the front. No way will she wear the Black and Gold. Such a girly thing. Did you kick some butt with BC?

======Tracy===== The Wizard of Oz seems like you either love it or not. DM always voiced her disdain for Judy Garland, due to her drug habit, therefore my childhood was without W of O. What kind of leg workout is on tap for you today?

======Debra===== DD is dressing as Tinkerbell. The costume is one of those off the rack things which I hate. In the past I’ve sewn her costumes. I said “no” to it this year. It’s too time consuming and expensive. All I had to do was buy silver dance slippers as GM gave her the costume for her 6 birthday in Aug. What is your DD going as? Nice to know your dating and not sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. I jumped into the dating shortly following my break away from crazy XDH. I remember it fondly. Enjoy yourself today whatever you do.

=====TG==== Got your wheels back? How are the legs feeling today? Just think how good you will feel without all the sugar in your system. It’s worth it girl! I know because I’m a big sweet freak and have to watch my consumption very carefully.

====Nicole====Those darn fires! Take care of mom. Glad brother #1 is at least getting a deserved rest. It’s nice hearing from you.

Waving hi to Jeanette, Traci, Wendy, Amy, Lea and to all! Have a super charged Saturday!
:7 :7 :7

Just popping on to wave hello and let you guys know I am still alive...But I am headed right now to take a nap! I picked up DD from GM's this morning and we went to breakfast...then came home and did some chores since BFF is coming tomorrow and I don't want her to walk into my filthy house! DD is still feeling a bit under the weather...no fever or anything like that, but just a little puny and no appetite. I had a great time out last night. We went to the Bonefish Grill and had an ahi tuna appetizer and shared a blackened grouper entree...which was yummy. We also shared a nice bottle of white wine, which I am growing to like. I am usually a red wine drinker, but he has broadened my horizons a bit. He is such a nice guy...he doesn't really like rare tuna, but got that appetizer for me..and then proceeded to eat it. What a sweetie! It's hard not to compare him to XDH..but my XDH would have NEVER gotten something to share that he didn't like. XDH didn't even like me to have a bite of his food just to taste. He had a few strange eating habits...LOL!

I am planning on doing Squeeze later today after my nappy-poo. I really need a rotation to follow since I am all over the board lately with workouts.

Just one personal for now.....bbl to catch up with everyone else...

Nicole...So sorry to hear about your mom's evacuation....Glad your one brother is out of the fray a bit though. The news looked pretty promising last night, but haven't checked the reports today. Hope you and your little ones are hanging in there! Keep us up to date and keep yourself safe! {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Back after my siesta!

OK, I am ready for normal life now!!!

The night cool has slowed the flames once again so let's hope they stay down today. My mom is ok for now and I hope it stays that way. Since my brother is at the front of the fire he can call her at a moments notice and tell her to leave. I hope that will not happen. At least she is all packed and ready to go:D

I am resolved to avoid working out until Monday. That will be a week and a half and hopefully the smoke and ashes will be less by then. My throat and eyes burn a lot with all of this smoke so I can imagine it wouldn't be good to breathe hard in.

Tracy, Can you send us some of that rain? :) Happy(belated) Anniversary! What a milestone. How is your DH doing? Is it same 'ol same 'ol with your FIL?

Sandra, Snow? I can't even imagine that right now. I would settle for rain at this point. Rain would help with the smoke and ash. My DH went to Iowa for a hunting trip. We actually use the meat all year so it saves us money and he gets the camaraderie. He was unsure of whether or not he should go but I insisted. Enjoy your family weekend!!

Carol, Good luck with your mom! Maybe she'll be nice;)

Swifty, Congrats on firm knees! Of course, I'd settle for anything firm at this point;) Yes, I'm glad one DB is getting a break too. Are you all recovered from the groundhog incident?

Debra, I am so glad you are able to get out and enjoy yourself. It must feel nice to be doted on since XDH misses the mark in that area. My mom is ok for now but ready to go if mt brother calls her. There is less smoke coming from the mountain today and that's a good sign. I hope your DD feels better soon. How's that bum and back?

Wendy, Deep breaths;) How are you doing today? I hope you are relaxing and enjoying Phil's company before your departure. My DH is going to be gone for two weeks and it is so quiet around here without him and he's quiet to start with. I think Phil will for sure miss you big time!!!

As for all of you girls who were unaware I had a babe in diapers, he was a late one. My next is almost 5 years older and 7 years from my oldest. He will be 3 in January so I am getting close to the end............maybe}(

Must go clean........oh never mind, DH is gone:D

Hi all,

I did BC07 Wu and cardio and then all of KB07 except the core. That was a good workout. By the time I got to the KB, I was fully warmed up and able to give the WU my all which added to the intensity. I do like that workout.

Nicole - Glad you got a little relief last night. FIL is actually at home and GS is getting paid to live in and watch over him. Gs wasn't working, so this has worked out really good for him. Thanks for asking.

Swifty - My BIL swears by arnica for bruises. I'm trying a new leg thing yet again. I have gotten lots of definition in my legs, but want more strength, so I'm doing legs every other day for 5 days and then a 4-5 day break. I started this cycle with KB, will probably do PP lower 3x on Monday and then a circuit using the butt workout that Cathe posted a while ago.

Carol - Sorry about the rain, but sometimes an excuse for a day with not so much to do is nice.

Debra - How did you meet a nice guy so fast? I just can't imagine where I would even start if I was a freebird. I'm glad you had a nice time. I hope that you will be telling XDH over the phone though, or have someone else in the room. Seems like that temper would surely flare when he gets that news. Happy napping:)

Off to shower and then do something productive, maybe.

Tracy

Evening :)

How is everyone doing this rainy cold day. Quick check in expecting my GD and my sister over in a few.

I was pretty tired yesterday, when I got home I went straight to bed, slept a good 10 hours:)

This morning, I did a 30 minute jog on the treadmill and B&G minus abs getting ready to hit the floor and push out 500 cross cables. I will talk too you guys later, have a wonderfuld day.:9

Okay....finally back for some personals...after my 2 and a half hour nap!!!! And then a trip to the grocery store. DD is over at a friend's house playing...she seems to be feeling better this afternoon. I am going to try to take her to a haunted trail tomorrow...assuming I have the energy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.............personals..................
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

.......Teddygirl....Glad you got some much needed sleep! And a nice workout too! Have fun with the family this evening.

.......Tracy......Just met my boy out one night while I was with BFF...Kind of a fluke thing. Glad you liked the workout today. I really liked BC07 too...which is completely unlike me...LOL! I am sure Cathe's new cardio will work for you if you double it up like that. Interesting leg rotation you are doing now...How long have you been doing it? Let me know what kind of results you get. I have pretty much decided that it isn't really my job to tell XDH about my dating...He knows that I go out each weekend...He will hear at some point from one of our mutual friends that I am actually dating...he probably assumes I am dating out now, but doesn't want to admit it to himself. How is FIL doing? Is the nephew still staying with him?

......Nicole...Glad life is returning to normal a bit. Good that mom is packed..but doesn't have to leave yet. Sending prayers for your dear brother out there in the thick of it. I am sure you will be able to start working out on Monday again...How is the back by the way? My buttocks and back are just bruised pretty good...but no real muscle trauma. Hope DH's trip is going well...and it's nice to take a break from cleaning once in a while.

......Swifty....WooHoo on the lack of knee shake! That is always a good thing...It is amazing how saggy we get as we age...even if we take care of ourselves! My DD is going to be a Goth girl princess for Halloween...It is her first year dressing as something scary...She has always been a princess or something like that...but she picked this one out...It is actually a pretty cool costume. I'll post picks after Halloween. Our dog is going to be a vampire...pretty cute, too. Is your pet rat dressing for the occasion?

....Carol.....Waving as you fly by on the way to your mom's house...Hope all is calm there! I picked up LIS07 by previewing and doing some of the trickier moves a few times and that seemed to help. I just don't need to fall again!

.....Sandra...Thanks for letting me keep the title...But I am still not making cupcakes! I can't believe you have never see the Wizard of Oz!!! How could you have missed that? Your girls would love it! Is it some kind of American thing? As a child that was my FAVORITE movie. DD dressed as Dorothy last year for Halloween. I just thought, do you guys celebrate Halloween or is that an American thing too? I don't seem to have time most days to do a 90 minute workout...or maybe I'm just too lazy! Congrats on DH starting P90! How is he liking it so far? So nice not to have any major plans for the weekend and be able to just leisurely do what ever you want.

....Traci....Waving as you glide by in the new boat!

....Jeanette, Laurie, Amy, Lea, Wendy, and Cheryl...Hope all is well! Have a good evening ladies...I am heading upstairs (finally) to push play...At least I'll be done before dinner...LOL!

Hi Ladies!

So I did BC this morning. WHEW! That's the most intense cardio of the new series, IMO. So now I'm at my mom's house, where she's ignoring me, but whatever, as long as she's not starting stuff.

Sandra -- I, too, was surprised she did LIS on the 6" step, but that's ok, I can break out of the mold ;-)

Swifty -- lol at the pink and white jersey :) We're not really NFL fans, but growing up outside of Baltimore, I am a fair-weather Ravens fan, lol. The Eagles hold no interest for me (we live close to Philly), especially since the TO fiasco. Oh, well. We're NCAA people here ;-)

Nicole -- I hope the flames STAY down!!

Debra -- I hope you stay on TOP of the step!! I've done my share of tripping over and falling off that thing, lol. It's not pretty.

Hi to everyone else! I hope you have a great day!

Carol

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just felt a sprinkle come from the sky. It wasn't a lot but it was moisture. All evacuations for my mom's area have been lifted:D

Maybe Monday will be the beginning of a great week! :D

Thanks girls for all the support and concern, you are all so caring and wonderful:*

Nicole
