~Xers~ Saucy Saturday

Ok, I'm back:)

I'm trying to clean but son #3 is working against me:p He is so feisty!! He is napping now so I thought I'd stop by an say hi.

Yoga, check! Cleaning, half check!

*Traci-X, If you lived closer I'd have my DH come and fix your tech problem. That's what he does for a living. Internet, cable, phone, you name it. I'm glad you figured out the shorter cardio yoga mix. I may try that next week before the big X rotation. I'm with you on the Lean rotation. I was writing out a modified version of sorts. Only the cardio days though. I slipped some Plyo in there and a day or two of Cathe step:p I think it will work nicely. We'll all be fit and trim by Christmas!!

*Tracy, I'm sorry to hear your FIL is not doing as well as you thought. I hope this does not mean your DH will be weighted down with the responsibility again. I suppose DH's brother will feel that if his son has been caring for FIL that he doesn't have to now. I hope I'm wrong. My sister has had several Chihuahuas and they all have had very different personalities. The two she has now won't come close unless you lay on the floor, which is actually nice because little dogs can really get under foot. I am excited about the new series too. I have to remember to set aside some Christmas money to pay for it. Have fun with the boys tomorrow!

*Lea, Did I miss something? Marriage license for what? Ok, I just read your reply:D I understand about trying to be with the boys more often. My boys loath my computer time. I have to say, "This is mommy's little box, stay out until I'm done!" I don't think they like it. #3 tries to turn the computer off:p Don't you just love Eoin? I love my Holy Yoga even more, but I think it's because it's not as hard and is better for refocusing. Have fun with Eoin and your girlfriend tomorrow! Thanks so much for the prayers for my little sis.

*Teddygirl, It sounds like you and Ted have a great relationship. I bet it's nice to have someone to talk to. Have a great Thanksgiving with your boys. I heard that Madonna does yoga only and she has a great body.

*Swifty, I hope you haven't drowned under the mound of ACE papers!

*Laurie, Congrats to your DD for getting the lead role! LOL, I can picture what your DH would say if he knew you were X-rated:p My goodness, you get new furniture and all of the sudden you're redecorating:) I bet it looks nice! Did you get your workout in today? How much longer do you have the "house guest"? I hope not too long. Is Cami getting along? Thank you for the prayers, I know my sis appreciates it.

*Carol, Sorry your too far away from Wendy to join in on the fun:( Well, she would have gotten you started then deserted you anyways;) One more week and we're off to X-land:D I'll pray you stay well and avoid the sick germs. Don't tell Debra or she may not talk to you;)

*Jeanette, I did the same SJ&P yesterday:) We must have been talking telepathically:) You have to watch out for Wendy, she's trying to get all of us to eat CC so she'll be smaller;) Glad to hear that the Warden has approved the promotion! Golf shopping, here you come!! How funny, we watched Click with Adam Sandler. I cried at the end:( How did you like Happy Gilmore? That is a funny one:) I hope you had fun chopping wood:p I think you'll be set for winter. Have you been using the wood stove yet? We are not there yet. It's supposed to be in the 80's again next week. On Thanksgiving we're supposed to have 60 mile/hr. winds}{ Glad you like the meez:)

*Wendy, Isn't it nice to be sore from yoga? I'm glad you ended up getting a good workout. I am loving my Holy Yoga. You should look at it on her website when you get back. It's: holyyoga.net. I read your discipline examples and it sounds just like me:) I told myself long ago that in order to respect me, my kids would have to be a little scared of me:p How fun that you'll get to see a friend in Thailand. She looks so nice and her kids are too cute! Enjoy the time:) My sister is 3 months pregnant. I am always glad to hear positive outcomes to these situations so I can relay them to my sister for encouragement, thank you! Have fun at yoga with Jenn!

*Sandra, ^5 on kicking the little kids bums at the Jump & Pump class;) It sounds like we're all going to be doing a little bit of a modified P90X rotation. I am doing the Lean and mixing in Cathe's cardio only and doubles of yoga. I think it will be a perfect fit for me. I'm going to post the rotation I wrote out next week.

*Debra, The nerve of children! I can't believe one coughed on you;) I can tell you have a girl, lol! I have one son that is an excellent reader and one that could care less. I never had to work with my oldest on reading because it came naturally. I really have to try harder with #2 but he's getting there. Thank God for private schools! I am so with you on Christmas! We are going to decorate the house tonight if I can ever get off this computer:p Glad you enjoyed your night with CB. I'm surprised you didn't go to your house since DD was MIA;) Thanks for the {{{HUGS}}} for my DS. I need to call her and make sure she hasn't worried herself into a tizzy. Her DH is a firefighter so he's gone nights a lot and I know she lays there and stews.

*Go Amy, Go Amy!! HIIT is the best thing for you. I have been reading a lot about it lately and I may try it after the X.

Oh my gosh! That'll teach me to skip a day!!!:p

I must go clean a bit before my DH gets home so we can decorate tonight:D

Nicole

Bring it!!!

Good Saturday evening:

No formal workout for me today, though I did get up and dress for it. Then decided it would be nice to go out with DH for breakfast before meeting my Dad to go woodcutting. That's what we did. The 3 of us cut 2 loads of wood. I stayed with my Dad and helped him. He's got COPD so gets very, very winded picking up the wood. I got a great workout, the weather was unseasonably warm and enjoyed watching the dogs play and dig out in the woods. When we got back to town, I put my golf clubs in the car and played 9 holes by myself. Took about an hour and a half so not too bad. DH had the BBQ going when I got back. Baby back ribs and they were tasty. Tomorrow will be the group bike ride in the morning. Reno weather said it would be 70 degrees tomorrow. Warm for this time of year. Guess they are expecting high winds in southern California again so lots of inmate fire fighter crews were sent down to be on standby in case of fires. Hopefully, there will be none.

Traci, sorry 'bout the bloat, but I'm confident those pounds will drop off. I'm always worried that THIS time it won't come off!! And yet it does. Even my little perimenopausal pudge is about gone too. LOL re: the truth about happy marriages. I'm the world's best at changing the subject when it gets too close to something I don't want to dwell on. And he usually falls for it. We WILL be fine doing the X again, all together. I'm actually looking forward to it. I just needed to wrap my head around it and stare at the calendar like Anointed. I'm still Zappos surfing for those golf shoes. I'm sure they will take some strokes off of my game. Our Thanksgiving is going to be a smaller affair this time, all right with me. I'll be playing golf again with the prison priest on Friday morning. I'm hoping to pay a visit to the driving range before then. I tried to hit some balls today before my 9 holes, but the guy was out picking up balls on the range. Sure hope you get the internet thing worked out. I remember that happening once when we had a different provider. They never did discontinue service. The name of the company was Digitalpath.

Tracy, I sympathize with the housetraining of the little dogs. Our German Shorthair I think only had one accident in the house when she was a puppy. She was so easy to train. Now little Tillie was much more hardheaded about it. If it was cold outside, she didn't want to have to go out there to do her business. Good luck on the training. I think the 3 month restriction is a good thing for your son's GF. She will certainly be restricting her food after surgery. I'd really still like to get a laptop so I will at least be in the same room as DH and he won't feel so alone watching TV. How did the brownies turn out? Glad your older dog is doing okay. My Dad mentioned today how much he misses Annie, his boxer that died a while back. He sure loved her. Let me know how the rock buggy testing goes. Does it make you nervous when they start getting into hairy situations? It does me, I'm a nervous Nellie.

Debra, I've had a few days where I just wasn't motivated, but I just subbed something else for it instead, like a heavy shopping day, or rolling up the garden hoses, or running a large load of laundry and selecting "super" for the size load. What movies did you watch? I got Happy Gilmore today so will have to watch it sometime soon. Please do my holiday decorating for me. I'm never all that excited to start it for some reason, though I do enjoy Christmas if it's not too hectic and I get done shopping in plenty of time. I always end up doing the wrapping like the day before Christmas. I've got to push myself to do better, but a lazy one I can be sometimes. Have you started the meditation yet?

Sandra, sounds like you've got the P90X rotation all planned out. I'm going with the Lean because I've got to do something different than before. I plan on subbing whatever cardio I want. This way, I'll know if Lean works for my body too. I think the main thing that helped produce changes for me was the muscle confusion. Wow, good for you for adding in all the yoga. Wish I had more time during the day for that. Now, if I could lock my door at work, close the blinds and let the phone calls go to voice mail...it could work, but then maybe I'd better wait until my probationary period with the new classification is over. Don't want the Warden walking in to see me doing "crow" or "wheel".

Lea, good for you for doing ARX. I haven't done that one since I finished the X. I was pretty tired of it by the end. Enjoy your Magic Hips with Eoin.

Wendy, LOL re: the kids wanting to be paid for giving massages! Mine would want that too. Actually, I used to beg for DS to give me a foot massage. He would, but he'd "accidentally" run a fingernail down the sole of my foot. Would send me thru the roof! He'd apologize and say it wouldn't happen again and like a dummy, I'd have him start over. Out would come the accidental fingernail. A couple times and he had cured me. Was the new baby your friend's first one? How exciting/scary to have one at home. Hope they are both doing well. That will be so cool that you get to visit her. Please take lots of pictures. I'm hoping the salary increase will be effective 12/1/07 so more money will happen at end of December. It's all good. Okay, you were absolutely so right. Why did I think I could get by with just some old tossed aside cross trainers and jeans? And DS's clubs that were too big for me. And no cart. Of course I had to have new clubs and a new cart. New shoes are a must from what my instructor told me on Monday. You were sooooo right. When will I ever learn?

Nicole, I'm praying for your sister, hoping all will be well. Got to be a tough time. Hoping to watch Happy Gilmore tonite if DH is asleep. Not sure it will be something he wants to see. Yep, we've been using the wood stove, though it really hasn't been real cold. Very unusual year. Sounds like high winds are predicted for so. Calif. Hopefully, there will be no fires. You are decorating for Christmas too? Seems so early. I haven't even got my Thanksgiving decorations out yet. I'd best get on the stick.

Laurie, so sorry that Decoy was homesick and not happy. When does he get to go home? I think he would have been happier if you'd let him lay on your new couch, don't you think? How's the Picture Trail going?

I'd better get back to comparing golf shoes on Zappos.

Jeanette
