***Xers ***oh happy day Friday!

Hi all,

I just found out that they have wireless in the lobby, so I thought that I would check in for a minute. We usually cook out, but some friends took us out for dinner, so I have a few minutes.

We camped the first night and it rained all night long. We were planning on camping a second night, but I just couldn't bear to try to sleep and deal with all of the wet stuff. It has rained every day except today, but we are still having fun. I did GS standing legs only before we left, then we hiked 5 miles on Wed. and 6 yesterday, plus rock/boulder hopped/climbed a long stretch of a really cool creek that has a 125ft waterfall. My working out really came in handy and I was able to keep pace with the kids. If I didn't have the upper body srength, I wouldn't have been able to. Today is my rest day, and I may run tomorrow morning.

Weight seems to have fallen off in the last few days, which isn't good. I have realized how much snacking that I was doing at home.

Things with my FIL are not good physically nor care wise. It seems that no one wants to take care of him. It may end up being us. He still has the blood clot which could break off and kill him and his bladder is still bleeding. DH is beside himself; 5 silbings and no one wants to do anything.

Wendy - My deepest condolences for FIL and you and your family. It was probably a blessing.

Nicole - I'm so sorry things are rough. I hope that it is not with DH, I couldn't seem to find out what the cause is. I had problems with DH for years, it was no fun. I tend to internalize problems too. It's not good. Your pictures look great. Continue to take care of yourself.

Annointed - Tatoos huh? I'd never get one because I HATE needles.

Traci - Sounds like you are taking a recovery week too. I slept 12 hours Tuesday night. I think I needed a break.

Cheryl - Sorry about DS. DS's friend had that happen and they did a horrible job of setting the front teeth; root canals too. I hope your situation is better.

Sandra, Debra, Swifty, Laurie, and anyone I missed, have a great weekend. I'll be home on Sunday.

Hi, everyone! Quick fly by - I spent the early a.m. at the surgeon's office with my son and then flew to Tampa to pick up my daughter and her friend from youth camp in the morning for flight back to SLC.

Amy, I'm thinking about you! I'm in Florida, even though I'm still 10 hours away - heh, heh -

Traci, I e-mailed you - a tidbit about business -

Teddygirl, love the description of your tattoos, you saucy girl!!

Wendy, what can I say. I was so moved by your sweet retelling of your FIL's passing. Please be well, dear friend.

I am in La Quinta Inn in Tampa, Florida, and gearing up to do KPC from my PC. No workout yesterday. Hoping for Keep It Up/Slim in Six pack tomorrow a.m. before the flight home.

My son had 3 front teeth removed. I am very confident this surgeon will have him looking better than new, but it'll be a many months long process. It will be implants of his two front teeth and a third tooth "hanging off" on the side of one of those implants. Apparently they think the two front teeth can go very well but implanting one of the next two and not the other can leave an uneven gumline. My son has a very gummy smile (I love it) so that would show. He was very brave and upbeat about it. Debra, it was a bicycle.

As he retells it he says he feels really stupid. A car was signalling to turn and he felt the need to signal even though it didn't matter to the direction of the car... so while signaling he braked too suddenly with the front tire and went head over handlebars face first into the pavement. Black eye, both hands gouged up, lip split open and hanging (8 stiches) and three front teeth broken up and partly missing, but no broken bones.

He was very relieved when his baby daughter ran up and hugged him when he got home. She didn't even notice. He says he scared a small child in the pharmacy line - the child was staring at him so he tried to smile, and as he puts it, he looks like Rocky Balboa right now. Well, what a week.

On to workout - but had to check in on all of you first.
Have a great evening, everyone!

Hi there, sweet Nicole. So sorry you are feeling over stressed...I understand what you mean about keeping up a facade of happiness...and it is certainly tiring! Please let me know if you need anything....And sending some {{{{{hugs}}}} your way! Try to get some rest tonight...and hopefully things will be brighter in the morning.

And just keep in mind that your abs look great!! It may not help...but it doesn't hurt!
