Hey, all!!!

SURPRISE!!! Yes, It's your early (or late in this case) bird!! I am so ready to go home!!! I have had one heck of a weekend! I had to float out to another floor last night, but fortunately, I know the nurses that work there pretty well and they are nice to me, so they don't dump all the PIA patients that they are tired of dealing with on me!

I hope that you all have had a good weekend. Friday was my resistance HIIT session, Saturday was my total body freestyle weight workout and yesterday was a nice walk around the neighborhood! It was pretty decent weather, so the walk was nice. I hadn't done that in a long time, and it was interesting to see all the new houses up for sale in the 'hood!

Traci....Where are you, girl??? It's after 5a!!!! Did Sandy allow you to sleep in???;-) :p :+

Morning Gang!

Amers I'm alve and awake- sort of.... its been lightening storms here for 2 days now so sleep is when I can catch a napx(

Dont have a clue whats on my list today for workouts... Legs, 1-upper part, cardio......... Still slammin' java!

Off to read yesterdays tidbits- back when I can.

Hi all,

Yesterday was L&G Extreme. I went heavier than Cathe for most of the standing work, but at the end, was down to her weights. when the last bit of floor work came, I was seriously considering stopping if she did that twice through, but luckily she didn't. I felt good and no obvious DOMS today. I may feel some fatigue when I run this afternoon. Then I did magically hips.

Amy- You are up with the birds to start us off. Glad the people on the other floor like you. That could be ugly if they didn't! What is resistance HITT?

Traci - Storms all weekend? Is there flooding down there?

Nicole - I hope that you all are getting better. It stinks to get sick in the summer.

Everyone else, I hope you enjoyed your weekends.

Morning!

Off to do KPC. Going to do it circuit style: w/u, combo 1, int. drills, combo 2, high int. drills, combo 3, abs, stretch.

See you soon!

Good Morning:)

TraciX. Thank you for suggesting Strike Zone, the workout was awesome :) :)

I had a wonderful weekend, back later

Teddygirl~

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph3/Wk12/Day1/Rnd2
Workout: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps / ARX

Last week for the strength traning with the X. Then I have recovery before I get into a new rotation. Wait...... I have to sneeze. Ok now I can continue typing after my sneeze fest. Don't know what that was all about.

This weekend we went to the races on Friday and Saturday. Had a great time, and got a really cool T-Shirt. Doesn't even look like your run of the mill race shirts. :) I like different!

I managed to get Janis Saffell's Strike Zone in on Friday, and StretchX on Saturday. Since I knew I wouldn't be able to get my whole workout in on Sunday, I ran for 4.5 miles on Sunday morning. This weekend will probably be the last that I can workout. My schedule will be 5 days a week after this. There is just not enough time or energy on weekends from now on.

Will try and get to most of the posts from this weekend, and I hope you all had a great one.

Laurie

Good Morning, again! I am heading off to bed for a nap (with Traci;-) but I will be back later.

Tracy, resistance HIIT is something that I sort of made up because I am a "slow twitch" muscle fiber-girl. I am not good at sprints, never have been, but if you let me go at my own pace, I'll get there, I have stamina! Anyway, on my elliptical, I do a warm-up for 5-8 minutes, then crank the resistance and go as hard as I can for 60 seconds, then turn it down for 60 seconds. I cycle this for 7-8 cycles and then I melt into the couch because it about kills you!;-) :7 :p . My other HIIT is 30 sec sprints with 90 low intensity (I start dying around 20 seconds!...I told you, I don't do sprints well!)

Okay, gang, off to snooze-land...it's raining here so it's wonderful sleeping weather!

Amy: Check you out starting today's check-in. :)

Traci-X: I can only imagine how your dogs are dealing with the storms. Hope they are letting you get some sleep.

Tracy-X: Thanks for responding to my bicep form question after I left. I think you're right (again!). :D I'm going to lower my weights on a few moves and concentrate on better form.

Sandra-X: Have fun with KPC. I thought of subbing Kenpo with it. But, it's my last Kenpo for a long time. Might as well do it.

Laurie-X: It's the last heavy week!! I can hardly believe it's almost over! You should be able to maintain nicely with weekday workouts. Save your energy for the fun summer activities too!

Well, I'm off to get the girls ready for music lessons. Then I have to go pick up the tiles from the fabricators. I also need to set up an appointment with someone from Craigslist selling a girl's Trek 220 mountain bike.

Tayler went bike riding with my friend and me this weekend on a regular child's bike. She had to push her bike up the hills. Poor thing. She's got stamina though. She made it the full 10+ miles. Anyhow, I'd like to buy her a decent bike with gears. I have no idea what to look for.

Sorry, I wasn't able to post yesterday. We had to pick up the farmhouse table I bought before we left. It's been crazy here. Never a dull moment!

Today I'm doing a doubles since I wasn't able to workout yesterday. It's Kenpo before music lessons and CST this evening. Still waiting for Eion to arrive.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!!!!
Wendy

Me Back:)

I did lots of eating over the weekend, Sunday Golden Corral, end meal with bowl of ice-cream and two slices of carrot cake. Saturday Steak & Shake, I was so stuffed when I got home last night, I couldn’t do anything but go to bed. I couldn’t get up this morning to save my life. But, I am rested.

Tonight’s workout, will be Strike Zone and Leg & Glutes (standing) if I have enough energy after Strike Zone will do L&G the entire workout. I shall see.:D

Hi, everyone, Happy Monday!!

Amy, you're up early (or late) - enjoy that nap!!

Traci, didn't realize you were having lightening storms. Scary! Sounds like a fun workout planned for today.

Tracy, L&G sounds like a good one I'm going to have to pull out and re-discover... sounds fun...

Wendy, a new bike??? What fun! The farm table sounds nice, too.
We'll want to see pictures, of course. Good luck with the music lessons.

Teddygirl, yummers on the good food over the weekend. No wonder you're sleepy. L&G for you too, I see... now I am really going to have to rediscover that one.

This morning's workout was really fun. B&G standing leg work (tough) followed by Step Works (a total blast). I'd forgotten how much fun Step Works is. A total 85 min workout.

When I was successfully losing weight my workouts were generally 75-90 min a day and almost always included some cardio, even on weight days. That's what I'm going to have to get back to. Eating was clean, all weekend. It's time to get serious! Now that I have the workout mirror I'm realizing how much I don't want to see a few pounds of fluff over my hard earned muscles!!!}( }( }( :+

Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

Cheryl

Is anyone preordering Cathe's 4 day split? I'm considering it. But, I'd rather buy Tayler a better bike first. Then I've got to pay for the remainder of the roadtrip and hotel. I might not be able to splurge on the new dvds. Waaaa! Oh well, life does go on...

Teddygirl: Sounds like my kind of weekend! How's your lower body rotation working for you?

Cheryl: How do you figure out what to do in less than 90 minutes? I can be a bit anal when it comes to dvds. I'll want to do all of it. I'd be interested in adding cardio to my weight days post-X. Do you do your cardio before or after the weights?

Well, Kenpo didn't get done. I might high tail it over to West Chester and pick up the tiles before music lessons. Wish me luck!!! I'd like to make it back in time for lessons.

Wendy

TGIRL: Go to HOME page (hit refresh if necessary)

OK- I was feeling MAH-VA-Lous after a 3 hour workout.... Then I started reading posts about Psale in ASK Cathe- Think I'm logging off for the day... makes me physically ill to read the hostility...
Ridiculous- childish and plain mean. If I'm logged in I'll read-

Sorry ladies... Yoga relaxed me - I gotta go get in the happy zone again.... see ya all in AM! Have a fabulous day!!:7

Hi all,

I'm waiting for the truck, so I can take the dogs with me to run. It's really hot here today.

Amy - Thanks for the info about the HITT. I'll have to try that when I get my eliptical, hopefully tomorrow.

Sandra - Glad to see you checking in. Is something up? I think that some of us, me included, fade back a little in times of stress.

Teddygirl - You must have better metabolism than I do. I literally would have gained 5lbs if I'd eaten all of that food.

Traci - Glad the workout was Mah va lous. I try to stay away from some of those threads. There was one a while ago that was ridiculous. They just confirm my opinion that some women/people can be bi%ch*es and will never admit it. I really don't understand it. It is a choice to visit the website and purchase the dvds. And then some of them will say that the website is stuffy because they can't speak their mind, and blah...blah...blah.....It's like going to someone's house and then openly commenting on what you don't like. What's that old saying that many should practice? "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?" That's my last comment on this cr*)!

I'm buying, I haven't yet, but will. I want to take advantage of the free freight for other dvds, so I have to transfer some more money into my bank account. I can't wait for the blog to start. It will give me something to read and look at when I take a break at work.

Phase 3/ Week 11/ Day 1/ Round 1

CS&T+ARX

Hi all, Sorry I'm in so late today but I've been a busy girl as usual. Glad to see most of us are checking in:) When is Debra getting back and what happened to Jeanette? I actually felt pretty strong today considering I was so sick this weekend. I am glad I was able to get down time but I did not enjoy the throwing up.

Tracy-X, Three hours! Are you crazy? Who doesn't have small children? Give me a few years and I'll up your three hour workout for a four hour one:) I didn't find the negative comments on AskCathe. Trust me I looked. I hope the frenzy dies down and everyone settles a bit.

Tracy, Thanks for the well wishes. We all seem to be back to normal today. I didn't have an appetite at all Sat. or Sun. Today it's somewhat back but I think I'll take advantage of this time and keep my food intake lower. O.k. imagine having DOMS from your leg workout and then getting dead sick and laying down and not moving for 24 hrs. You can imagine the leg cramps and DOMS that would ensue. Horrible! What a way to spend a weekend:)

SandraX, Hope you had fun with KPC. How are the girls doing? are you all enjoying your summer? What is the weather like this time of year? It's a bit hot here this week but it's manageable:)

Laurie, We're almost done!!! Yeah:) Which workout do you think you will forego these last few weeks? I think I could live without Plyo but I don't think that would workout:) I'm so glad to be almost done and on to slimming workouts for the summer. I'm glad I still have an X buddy!

Amy, Sleeping in the rain, I'm so jealous:p

Wendy, You and your deals:) Hope you sell the bike quick. Aren't you almost done with the X? You shpould be, I think you started before me. I thought about doing Doubles today to make up for the lack of Kenpo on Saturday, but DH said he would choke me if I did. It's probably a good idea to take it easy after being so sick. Darn! I have to wait a bit to pre-order. I hope she keeps the pre-order up for a few weeks.

Cheryl, You go girl!!

See you all tomorrow. I hope Debra is busy being photographed and Jeanette is showing a hill who's boss:) Hi Swifty and Katie! I always forget someone so I'm sorry in advance:p

Good gracious...it seems like forever since I was able to check in with you guys...has it only been 2 weeks?!? I will have time over the next few days to catch up on all of your lives and workout excitements...A pre-sale?!? Now, I have to head over to the main page and check out all of the Cathe happenings! Who knows when I will get a chance to actually workout again...although I did do yoga on the deck at the beach and it was heavenly...except, I had all 4 kids walk by and talk to me...not all that conducive to a relaxing workout, but good none the less. I have not gotten on my scale yet...I actually don't know which box it is in...so, too bad!! And yes....for all the inquiring minds...(Nicole!!) I do have pics to upload. I have some of DH and DD and even me in a bikini (or as close as I come to one of those these days!)

Okay...I am pretty beat....I drove about 5 hours from Charleston to our new house to find the phone and the AC not working....then I had to shower and get ready to see a friend of mine from elementary school...and then home to unpack a few boxes and start with the laundry. Tomorrow I have the painters coming, the people who are hooking up the dvd player and the speakers, etc and the guys who are putting in the sprinkler system...and I have to pick up the dog from the kennel..and of course in between all of that I have to unpack boxes and suitcases and I have about 3 weeks worth of laundry to do...I will try to check in again tomorrow evening...

Love and kisses to all you lovely ladies....Missed you guys!!!

Wendy - I can usually fit in 2 workouts in 90 minutes. I like to do weights first (to give it my whole focus) but it doesn't always work out that way. If I cut the cooldown off the first workout and skip the warmup for the second one, that's a good 15 minutes cut out... and sometimes I make the cardio only 45-50 minutes. (or the weights only 45)

A perfect day for me is a strong one hour weight workout, minus the cooldown, plus 45 minutes on the treadmill. That's a nice day! :)

Wendy, didn't realize you'll be going to the RT too. I'll get to meet you in person :)
