Xers :::: Jan 2 :::

Oh Jeannette, National Treasure(as long as you don't think about the plot too much;) ) but definitely not as good as the first one. DD was bored but the rest of us enjoyed it. Had a good Disney cartoon at the beginning. Kim

Hi all,

4ds legs and wu followed by kenpox with pull/chin ups during the breaks, done. I'm not sure that is a great combo, but that's the best I could do this week. I focused on the form and not the cardio because I'm getting extra cardio.

Just some quick personals, because I need to go cook dinner.

Laurie and TG, glad to see you guys back.

DH and I were all set to watch The Biggest Loser last night and then heavy GF came over and DH whispers to me, "We can't watch TBL now!" So we had to tape it and I only saw the last hour. I wonder how much they monitor HR etc, because some of that activity looks really intense for people who obviously are pretty sedentary. I have to wonder if that is healthy.

Kim - In case you didn't notice the intensity builds. I thought plyo x was hard when I did it.

Carol- I think I tried higher impact cardio after plyo x and quickly decided against that. It's harder than it seems and I think it gets deep into the muscles.

Sandra - Glad the rotation is what you are looking for. It's not too hard to layer on some upper. You really could go total upper once ever 5 days and have plenty of time. I did that for quite some time and just changed the order of the exercises. I got great results. Sorry about the tight back. Lets just hope it is ttom and nothing else.

Sandra & Kim - Health insurance in the US is such a big deal. It really is a shame.

Traci - Happy BD to DH. Is there a BD surprise from you???

Debra - Sorry about XDH. I guess he couldn't help but show his true colors. I'm sure the time can't pass fast enough. Trying to send good vibes............

Wendy - Did you take many pictures?

Lea - Hi, glad you stopped by. I know you said something, but my brain is fried after having to actually think today.

Nicole - Hi

Sorry if I missed anyone. I'm so bad at this when I don't open another window.

Later,

Tracy

Jeanette - I knew I forgot someone. I was just about ready to go back to work. The weather has been crummy and I'm not very domestic; I'd rather be dealing with issues at work. I hope DGM is OK. She doesn't sound nearly as sick as FIL. His fluid was partly from congestive heart failure which I think is common as you get older, well that old. And I can't imagine what his hospital bills have cost. He was in ICU for months last summer. I would say hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's why people freak out when they don't have insurance.

Evening ladies,

Just finished Ab Ripper X. Feels good to complete a workout day. Was supposed to get my hair done after work today, but stylist called and has a bad cold, so cancelled. I rescheduled for next week. Went to the bank and book store after work, then visited Grandma. Grandma looked great sitting in her dusty pink velour outfit, with a Nora Roberts novel by her side and knitting at the end of the couch. Her hair even looked good. She gets it done every Thursday and is looking forward to tomorrow's appointment. My sister wrote me and said that my mom wants to find Grandma a little lapdog. May call the shelter and see if they have anything. Prison doesn't have anything that small right now.

Laurie, thank you so much for the Christmas card and photo of your family. Think I've only seen you in your Renaissance clothes. What a great photo! Looks like it's a good thing we didn't get rid of my old PC as that's what I'm typing on now. I can browse okay on the laptop, but the keyboard locks up. I've decided I want a completely new one, not replacement parts for it. Bet the pork tenderloin was good. Our prime rib was excellent. I will definitely fix another one, but not the huge 23#er. It tasted so good. LOL about the tire changing incident. Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it! I've never fixed a tire on a car in my life. Plenty of bike tires though. Sorry that the flat happened during a snowstorm. What are the chances of that happening?

Wendy, must feel pretty good to be doing laundry and cleaning in your own house. I can't wait to read the details of your trip. How was the Thai food today? I've never had it before, but so many people really like it. I like Chinese food and spicy food. Is it like that?
Good going on Basic Step. You did just that for a whole month? You CA!

Kim, I've never used the recovery drinks before. PlyoX was always fairly hard for me. I remember doing it during Week #3 and about dying. Ab Ripper X got fairly easy for me and I got really lean in my stomach area. It's not that way now, thanks to the holidays and such, but hoping to get back to that stage. My Grandma lives with my mom & dad, about 3 miles from my house so I get to visit often. When my DH did AbX, he made so many grunting and groaning noises. Guess that was cuz his gut was in the way. He likes crunches on the Bowflex a lot more, though I don't think they were effective for him and just made him hurt his back. I'll have to check out National Treasure soon. We had Netflix, but due to my DVD player not playing well and the DVD's freezing a lot, I got mad and cancelled the other night.

Nicole, looks like you switched Tuesday and Wednesday? I've got yoga on tap for tomorrow, but will do a little step first and then about 30 minutes of yoga.

Sandra, I'm surprised that you say it's been a strain for the past 10 days with this rotation. Sounds to me like you've been kicking this rotation's butt real good. I ordered Amy Bento's new hi-lo dome workout the other day. Looking forward to that one. Tracy seems to really like it a lot so sold me on getting it. LOL about your DD and only eating the top part of the cake! Where did she get this idea? I like how she thinks outside the box. Me, I would definitely make a cut from the top to the bottom of the plate, never deviating from that plan. Yep, crazy for me to be on the phone for so long with the Indian techs from Dell. I let them know today that I didn't want this laptop, that I would be sending it back and that I would be getting a new laptop from them. First of all, we have to get this laptop registered into their system. It doesn't show up on the records yet as it was bought right before Christmas. You'd think that computer people would have all that stuff immediately. The support people are good about returning calls so that's one less frustration. The health insurance situation is just so sad. That's one good thing about retiring from the state, I'll have health insurance for life, though I'll have to pay a fee every month. I hear that a lot of seniors like the Wii games too. Maybe GM would like to play tennis or something that doesn't require too much standing. Between she and my Dad the TV volume is up so high, drives my poor mom out of the room.

Traci, glad you are feeling the burn, but hope it's only in a good way. I'm being careful with my shoulders as I don't want to ruin my golf career and all LOL! I've done more pushups on my knees than last time, but oh well. Wrists felt better today during CST. How was the party for Wendell?

Debra, ((hugs)) to you and your stressful time with XDH. Take a deep breath, it will soon be over. How much longer before he gets on that plane? For your sake, I hope it's soon, for your DD's, I hope she gets plenty of quality time from him.

Latrese, the bath sounds nice. I had a super busy day today at work too. I swear I have ADD and have about 6 projects going at the same time. I need to get more organized.

Tracy, how was it going back to work today? My day was just plain crazy, one phone call after another. Hoping tomorrow is better. Great workout for you today too. How long are your workouts usually, minus the yoga? Nice that your DH was sensitive enough to realize that your DS's GF might have been offended by TBL. Not all guys would feel that way. Is GF still going ahead with the surgery? Is she getting counseling? We are glad that DGM is doing well. Hope we don't have any more episodes. Maybe she needs a Wii to get her moving around a little more, maybe that would help some of the fluid leave.

Better go now, see y'all in the morning,

Jeanette
