Hi all,
Didn't do too much today. After communicating with other members of our family re: Grandma's status, I showered and DH and I took the girls out to the desert to let them run a bit. I took a chair and just basked in the sun sitting in a camp chair. Felt good. Did a little grocery shopping on the way back and decided I needed to do a bike ride. Temp was about 33 degrees, though it didn't feel that cold. The ride was good, complete with lots of mucous from exerting at low temps. Yep, snot rockets were blown. My brother and my nephew are over here right now watching Court TV and then will watch some DVD's. We are a wild bunch for sure. Looking forward to tomorrow's bike ride. I'm itching to do my Christi Taylor video, so may pop it into the VCR if brother and nephew aren't sleeping on the couches in the family room where I work out. I'd also like to golf in the afternoon after the bike ride. Looking like starting Thursday we will be getting some serious snow. You can see, I'm not all that gung ho about taking the tree or decorations down. Goodness, took me long enough to get them up, what's the hurry to take them down?
Carol, I'm sending the last of the chocolate candy home with my brother. That will be the end of most of the bad nibbly stuff. I bought some healthier stuff at the grocery store today.
Sandra, did your DD make her cake? It sounded yummy, but healthier with fruit on it. Glad you got CST done. That one starts up on the Lean Rotation in Phase 2. I have done it once already last week, but this is a re-do week for me. Darn those pushups.
Tracy, good for you for starting up where you left off on P90X. Shows you are doing the right stuff. After I finish P90X, I think I would like you to design a rotation for me that focuses on legs as I've never had any kind of sculpted look to them at all. Seems like when I'm cycling, I'm afraid of working my legs too hard and then being weak with the cycling. Glad to hear that fluid around the heart can be removed fairly easily. I think right now they are trying to determine what has caused it (for Grandma). She did have a bunch of dental work done recently and I understand that can cause complications to the heart for some reason. Hoping we know some more tomorrow. It is tough on my Mom to be away from home with Grandma too. This stuff is WAY out of Mom's comfort zone as far as talking to doctors, making arrangements, etc. My sister did so much of it before Grandma recently moved up here.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!
