Good evening all you fab ladies!
Busy day at work today, as usual. I sure miss my walking break during the day. Maybe by the end of this week the snow will be gone and I can listen to my 70's soft rock hits, walk briskly and clear my head. I sure miss it. Right now we have frozen snow and you have to tread carefully. I don't feel top notch, still like that head cold is trying to develop. Had a headache this afternoon, not usual for me to have.
Laurie, sorry you didn't get a very good sleep last night. What kind of work does your DH do? I totally detest driving in the fog. Hate it almost worse than a snowstorm whiteout. I am so glad this eating is done! "Hey there, Georgie Girl, da, da da da da da da..." Is that the one? Tillie isn't a very small dachshund, kind of a tweener, between a standard and a mini. Just couldn't bring myself to do CS today. Core Cardio is not near as hard as CS, but felt good to do something different.
Sandra, Edmonton sounds pretty neat with the downtown part and all. It would be nice if they had a bike trail here that was completely covered. Just can't ride with snow and ice on the ground, while 30 degree weather is okay with me for a little while. I'm hoping the beans and cornbread were holding a bunch of water. We'll see tomorrow. I'm going to start weighing myself every day again. When I get away from it, up the weight goes. I think I will try to get AbX in at least once a month. It was pretty effective for me last time. I love the hi-low in CIA 9801. I only got to preview a little bit of the step, but I shall pretty soon. I think Amy is going to occupy my mind like Christi's step does, but be more intense cardio wise. Loved the Hi-Lo of Amy's that I did today. Cycling wise, I'm planning on doing the 1/2 Ironman bike portion of a triathlon in May. I think it's around 60 miles, lots of climbing. I better be hitting the Garage Boys regularly this winter. I have a 60 miler planned on Super Bowl Sunday down in the valley. Guess between now and then, I need to extend my miles up to at least 40 some. So far, my top mileage in the last months has been only 20 or so.
Latrese, so glad you are feeling better. We want you feisty again! Can you get a picture of your hair? I'm trying to picture how you want it to look. You did CC#5 AND a 30 minute job? Hats off to you! I have done CC#5 a few times and really liked that one.
Debra, glad you had a nice time last night and glad your team won. No, my DH isn't from the South but I bet he'd fit in nicely. The beans he made were super tasty, with little chunks of ham and lots of flavor. Cornbread was good too. Trouble is that kind of food makes me swell up like crazy. The pedicure sounds good. Did I ever tell you about my first and only pedicure? It was awful and funny at the same time. It was a Vietnamese family that got you in and got you out. No pampering of the feet for me! I was almost in agony and my sister was just laughing so hard at my face. When it was her turn, I did the same to her. Silly me for fantasizing at the wonderful pampering my feet would receive. Garage Boys will be on Wednesday after work. I need to get with that program and get back into better cycling shape for sure. Been doing too many nice conversational rides with my friend John. Got to get my bike cardio fitness back and get my mind back where it was.
Christiane, way to modify! I like doing the step only in Lowmax, love some of the music in that one. Can't remember which but I really like a couple of the intervals a lot. Does your DH work out with you? Is he doing P90X right now? Have you decided if you will come to the States? Boy, that doesn't seem like much time at all for all the time you have to be in a plane. Core Cardio is nowhere near as difficult as Core Syn. Tony does drool over Dreya in Core Cardio, but he's also goofier. It's still a good one but probably about 60-70% of what CS is. It's a slower pace too. I am in awe about your DD leaving at 16 to pursue ballet! She must have quite a passion for ballet!
Kim, glad the calf is getting better. Little by little, right?
Tracy, I'm really impressed with Amy's Hi-Lo DVD I just got. I will probably get her step too. Which one do you recommend? I like the lean musculature in her arms. She does well with her cueing. I really enjoyed the variety in her moves today. No endless repeater stuff.
Have to finish the dishes, drink some more water and check back here.
