Good Morning Ladies!

It's 5:25 AM. I'm awake!!!

We're leaving tonight for the weekend. I haven't decided if I'll take my bike. I have to look at the forecast first.

BRB with personals!

Ballistic Hugs!!!
Wendy

Hi all,

I did just the cardio from LIS2007 last night. I can't say that I was impressed. Some of the moves were similar to stuff Pam Cosmi does, but a lot less comples. I'm sure I will periodically use it, but it will be in conjunction with something else. Then I did sun salutations, standing flow 1, backbend flow 2 & 3, and forward bends and hip openers from Shakti. That was good.

Jeanette - I'm glad the golf is improving and you are enjoying it. You are smart to find some activities that don't require as much physical umph! I know golf is a hard sport. I hate ball sports.

Debra - I ordered AMy's new stuff. I saw it was supposed to ship now. I'm excited about that. I think she does some different moves than Cathe and it might be a nice complement. Sorry about the fall. ARe you stiff today?

Carol - I'm agreeing with you on the rain, we really need it, but it sure is dreary and HIS. Not sure if I'll like that one, but I know I'll like it better that LIS.

Nicole - Glad you escaped the fire. Yes, a rotation that is easier on the back is probably a good idea. I ate out a couple of nights ago and I'm still paying for it. My stomach is not used to that kind of food.

Sandra - I think the new workouts are good, but not great. 50$ is a lot for less than 2 hours of cardio, 1/2 hour of leg work and an hour upper body workout, which is all it is for me. I won't do the core nor the calf work. I'll always buy her stuff, but hmmm......

Wendy - I think you might as well find a way to be happy about the trip. There's no backing out now is it?

Traci - Now that I have my new DBs I can do a workout of drop sets. That's not a bad idea. I might do that tonight.

TG- OMG a 600 car bill. It is always something isn't it? Maybe all of the crummy food is making the hormones go wild. It would for me.

Swifty - Enjoy your day off.

Got to go to work.

Tracy

Anyone preorder Amy Bento's new series?

:) :) :) :) :) Personals :) :) :) :) :)

Jeanette-X: Um, k, is it just me or does hitting the "sweet spot" sound like something a man quipped?;) How's your elbow holding up with the golf classes and games? About working hard, do you think it's because you already do!!! Think about it, you are constantly on the go with work, camping, golfing, biking, BBQing, tiling, chopping & stacking wood, and who knows what else you do! Maybe, you just need some fun low key stuff to do for awhile. If anyone deserves it, you do! Thank you so much for snapping me out of it. I'm doing better. I've only peeked at touristy sites yesterday. There's a ton of fun stuff for me to consider: hiking, kayaking, boating, diving, bird watching, etc. I'll try to have fun, even if it kills me, just for you!:7

Salutations Debra-X! What thesaurus have you been reading?:+ Thank goodness you landed on your tush instead of your fingers!!! How are you today? Feeling the aftermath of your fall more so today? How is the diva this morning? Is she ready to make an appearance for all her admirers? Speaking of which... It must feel so good to have a man want to look out for you. Even though Xdh doesn't realize he's going to be an ex, you never know. Phil was supposed to be my transitional boyfriend. At the time, I just wanted to have fun too. If he weren't so darned persistent, I would have never noticed his sweetness and fidelity. Just saying.}( ;) Yep, I can totally relate to what you're saying about Russia. That's where I'm coming from as well. Only, the corruption isn't as transparent. Just say, if a policeman came upon you fighting off a thug, chances are that the policeman would be more concerned about a foreigner hitting a local than the local trying to steal from you. It's crazy chaos in some parts. I think it stems partly from the myth that money grows on tress here.

Carol- Xer to be: What are you going to do when you start your X rotation? You'll need to check-in daily if you want to make it through 90 days!!!! Are you planning on subbing with Cathe? Shhh, don't tell Sandra if you do!!!:7 LOL on going with your mom. She'll fit right in! It's an entire country filled with Crazy Asians!!! }( ;)

Amy-X: Good for you-- an actual rest day! Did you get any buttered popcorn?:9 I haven't forgotten. I still need to forward you that email!

Nicole-X: What's up with the smoke, ash, winds and flames? Have you heard from your brothers lately? Check you out! Refraining from the new dvds until you are healed. Very Wise!!! I don't have any back injuries, and I felt those deadlifts in my lower back. Yowza! I wonder if that show will air again before I leave. I will do my best to sugarcoat, ignore and gloss over anything remotely negative that I see or think before, during and after my trip!:7 Eww, if I waited to return with my sister, I wouldn't be home until Feb. I don't think that's going to happen!:p }(

Tracy-X: Hopefully the yoga helped solidify all your book learning.:)

Sandra-X: Oh, girlfriend... What! No news from the home front? Oh, I see a little, teeny sentence at the end. OMW! I'm surprised you can still breathe woman! How long did your morning workout take to finish?!? Yeah, I did have cervical cancer at 25. After the biopsy results came back (on my birthday!), I asked the gyno from the woman's clinic if I could wait until after finals to get the surgery. She says it should be fine considering it was at the earliest stage. Well, that couldn't have been further from the truth. In 3 months time, it had progressed rapidly!!! So, all you ladies.... Get thee your yearly Pap Smear!!! Your parents should be fine. It's not like they are going to be out walking at night. They are traveling with friends with a son in the know, correct? They are going to do the tourist stuff with hotel guides. They should be simply fine!!! OTOH, I've got Crazy Asian, who thinks planning is a waste of energy, as my personal guide. }( ;) Onto brighter thoughts... Anthony Bourdain. Ahhh. You must watch him on tv! I read his book after watching No Reservations. I could hear his tone of voice in every sarcastic remark. The reasons why I adore him: He's compassionate and kind to the locals (poor, hard working, people). He's sarcastic with prideful people who aren't funny. The man will eat ANYTHING! He's not fond of vegetarians. Well, we can't all be perfect. A good man is after all only a man.:)

Traci-X: Oh, I see you sneaked in on me yesterday afternoon. Hope I caught you before you left! Have a nice, relaxing weekend at the bay!!!! Glad you got in an awesome workout!!!

Hi to everyone I didn't get around to personally greeting!

Gotta throw some clothes in the washer.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!

Happy Friday!

Friday Workout
Boot Camp Cardio Only (I’m a virgin on this one) + Tony’s 3-way calf work with heavy weights & SB Tibialis work - I’ll be done in less than 60! :7

Miscellaneous Jibber
So excited to head to water, surf, sand, & new boat…. I’m payin’ the bill but have yet to ride! No computer or workouts for me- all just mindless reading, beach walks, boat rides, cleaning & maybe BINGO Saturday night w/ the locals at VFW Hall ` My PERFECT WEEKEND!

I hope all Xers are safe, cared for and happy this weekend – I have some work with my internet clients to whip out before I leave so I’ll read all your antics Sunday night. :7 Someone asked about our weather these days… Its high 70’s in day and 40’s in night… I call it Shorts & Sweatshirts weather!!! We usually have a hot & humid Halloween / Thanksgiving / Christmas but in-between days are 40-60’s – unless we get a warm front then its back to 80’s here & there. That’s about takes care of all our “Seasons” in Houston! The rest of Texas gets waaaaay cold…Dallas has ice storms & even snow – we are just sitting on the warm Gulf Coast waters tho so we are more Florida like.

:7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 personals::7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7

Jeanette :* X
Well golf just sounds like its going beautifully! How cold does it have to get before they close courses there? Ours are only closed if we’ve had 4” of rain or more – then they close half a day. ~ Heading a Fox Hunt???? OMG – You are full of surprises woman! What a great life you have created!!!!

DEBRA :* X
Did you say Slo Mo shipped?????? Zippity! I thought that was a Dec ship! LOLOLOL – Lordy woman you are shopping a lot! Can ya order me some stuff? I want new equipment tho not more DVDs!!! ~ Hope your back and all parts are not sore today- that was just too hard of a spill you took after accident. {{{huggers}}}~ I had the same reaction this week on KB and lack of chaptering on the drills… WTF? ~ Guess we are just a tough group to please. I think some of us are so used to doing our own mish moshes that Cathe best put out workouts in miniscule chapter form vs all the premixes! I think the WTS FIRST mix is a waste of disc space – that could have been the microscopic chapters we all want! ~ So happy DD is coming back to life! Must be scary to see an active child go from 60 to zero in a few minutes! {{{huggers }}} .. On the meditation… Start with Hayhouse.com and/or go to amazon – the keywords will be “guided meditation”. After you get the hang of it- (took years for me but very natural to non Type A) – you can do start exploring just meditation music which is way cool. So many varieties out there… most refer to higher power vs God as meditation is a universal practice and not intended to be religious in any way… Its intended to help you quiet your mind- look deep into your own heart and connect with your inner intuitive peace & wisdom. There are many many different types… I can email you more specifics if you want. Lol in holding poses 5 minutes- the absolute BEST part (& hardest part) is meditation is done either walking slowly (really slowly), sitting in lotus, lying … no pain at all!!!!! ! ~ Thank you again for all the words!!! I feel badly you have taken so much time to do these everyday but I am also very THANKFUL! You are a wonderful team player! XXOO

Wendy :* X
I guess your extra sleep yesterday was un-done by todays lack of sleep! At least you are even now! I think you have too much going on in your mind. Nicole is right- this is unlike you – do you think something else is contributing to the high anxiety level? I think you need to reserve the right to come home early- that might give you some peace of mind. If this vacation doesn’t even start out as a good thing then why go? Life is short. ~ Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND and try & talk only positive things about your trip so you don’t get yourself worked up! I think you could be heading for an attack girl! xxooxoxoxoxo

Nicole :* X
Again- So happy you are starting to see light at the end of tunnel! I meant to ask about your kids… how are they emotionally. Fire was always (and is) my greatest fear on the planet so to be surrounded by it would send me over the edge. I hope they will be OK.

SANDRA :* X
What a silly huge grin I got this morning seeing your post! You really have been missed… Your lil’ sabbatical sounds like just what the Dr ordered! I love kick-back, easy going time- add food to the mix and it becomes HEAVEN! ~ LOL on 4DS vs 2007…. I think it was me that actually posted 2007 – I just was at a loss without a “series” name! I actually think in terms of series and am still calling last years LIC, BG etc… 2006 Series in my logs! I have reformed tho & gone with the flow now on 4DS as I see the OD is now consistent with that. ~ FABULOUS workout ! You are so dedicated… I think I took almost a week off “waiting” for new DVDs! I so hope they arrive ultra soon!

SWIFTY :* X
CONGRATS on doing an ALL ME activity THU- non sweat producing too! I’m impressed! Those days are so important- we call them Mental Health Days… People around here even call in sick saying “I’m taking a MHD!” LOVE IT

Carol
Congrats on nailing HIS! The difference between me and most Cathe lovers is that I could care less if I ever do step long enough to get the moves down.. I just don’t care for fancy choreography- I love things like all Cathes blasts in everything… It has a point. – work my legs to fry! (not crazy about the ones in HIS tho) – I’m a pretty straight forward kinda w/o gal… I think that’s why I love weight lifting… just get to it and work hard without fluff! LOLOLOL

TRACY :* X
That’s a bummer how you are feeling about new series & cost…. Funny I was trying to calculate my cost based on having a strength series + Kickbox + Boot Camp …. HIS & LIS will probably never get used! LOL You mentioned you don’t do calf work? Is there a particular reason – do you get great calves from yoga too? ~ I think you’d dig the Drop Sets. The first time I did them I did take the few minutes to determine what the heaviest would be… otherwise you can pump all day! Even being able to do just 1 rep w/ good form counts as the starting point. ~ My client was cryin’ for mercy using 5#’ers on her last set of curls- she started at 24… Hope you have an easy work day and a great weekend!

I'll BBL before I head out and to give my 4DS BC thoughts

:7 :7
:7 :7

Wendy; I preordered (see post above) - I thought Amy was shipping December! DUH!!!! I am actually VERY excited to see her Slo Mo stuff- I love her creativity although at times I do modidfy a bit for safety! I didnt order ant cardio - why bother- it'll never get used! LOL Glad you are starting to turn things around about your trip (see post above)
xxoxoxoxxo

Thanks for all the hugs, ladies! My back is feeling a bit tight today after my fall, but I think Eoin can fix that! I will be doing my new dvd of his today. DD is feeling much better today and we are heading to school in a bit.

Traci....Slo Mo is supposed to ship on October 26...at least that is what Collage says...And yes, please email some info on meditation. I do think it would help me with becoming more centered....just want to make sure I got you before you headed to the bay! If I don't catch you again...have a wonderful relaxing weekend! I'll miss you!

Okay...gotta push the diva out the door...bbl to catch up with everyone else!

Happy Friday Xers!

I'll be doing LIS later on today. It's just been too dark this week to get up for morning workouts, but at least I've been getting them in. I'm actually looking forward to having daylight savings time end so it's ligher in the mornings.

teddygirl -- I feel ya on the car repair bills. UGH! We had our one car repaired (which was mostly maintenance-type stuff) and it was $2200!! :-O I hope your car runs like a dream for a long time now!

Traci-X -- LOL about step. I don't care for complex step, either. I took one look at Christi Taylor and started cussing her out immediately ;-) I don't care for the more complex stuff in HIS, either. I prefer more athletic combos/blasts. I'm with ya on the straightforward :) I hope you like BC, it was probably my favorite of the new cardios! And it sounds like after you work hard you have a great weekend lined up. Enjoy yourself!

Wendy -- 5:25?? You know that time only comes around ONCE on the clock, right? ;-) I'm impressed you were up so early this morning! And I PROMISE to check in daily during "the X" rotation, k? ;-) Do you want workout photos and stats daily, too? ;-) Thailand sounds perfect for my mom!! Maybe I'll just mail her there COD!!! lol. As for Amy Bento, I tried her out and just don't like her, so I didn't pre-order. Have you done her other stuff? I hope you have a great weekend away!

Hi to everyone else! I'll BBL with more after I workout.

Carol

Round2/Phase3/Week10/Day1/CST & ARX

Howdy lady xers! Welcome to Full of Felicity Friday. I'll have to go to a dictionary to look the meaning of that up.

Completed this workout and I feel good. Man! This is an extremely intense upperbody workout. ARX felt good this morning.

Traci, ahhhhh. I can hear the sound of waves calling you.

Wendy, take the bike (raincoat too). How far are you going? Have fun!

Debra, nice way to bounce back after the fall.

I have to go to work, lots to do today. Hope to bbl for another check-in. For now.....

:) :) :) :) :)

Good morning all and Happy Friday!

Today's workout was HIS. I enjoyed the step routine, though I didn't get the 3rd combo. That one will take some rewinding to get, though I think it will be fun once I get it down. The chest and back work are probably the best I've done with Cathe, I like the variation. I went about 50# on the barbell for the underhand rows. Don't want to irritate my elbow and I think that was as heavy as I should do for a while on that. Also for the one armed rows where you put the DB horizontal, I went lighter as it felt funny to have my elbow bowing out with the 20# DB, didn't feel safe for my shoulder me so I went lighter with the 15#s.

Tracy, I can see where LIS and HIS wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. I need more complex to keep me interested and figure I'll burn a few more calories doing something else during the day. I've always been interested in golf, but figured I'd be older when I tried it. I think now is perfect for me. I plan on still riding the bike but no way can I do 2 sports with as much intensity. We'll see what happens. Of course winter is coming and then I'm sure the golfing will be out, though it depends on what kind of winter we get. What is Pam Cosmi like?

Traci, hoping that you have a very nice time at bay. How is Sandy handling the ramp? Wish we had more warm weather around here, but I do enjoy our seasons. Fall is probably my favorite. I'm hearing that some people play golf here year round, but the ground does get frozen and the balls bounce a lot. They use some modified rules to cover that. Yep, foxhunting I did some years ago. I did horses for many moons, hunters, jumpers, eventing, dressage, then went to western riding with team penning, reining, a little cutting and lots of rounding up cows out on the range. I still have the horse trailer, all the gear, etc. Who knows, maybe I'll go back to it, but it's such a time and money commitment that I can't see dabbling in it. Never thought I'd get to that point.

Wendy, I've heard "sweet spot" for so many different sports that I don't think anything of it anymore. I'm shameless! For golf, the sweet spot would be the center of the club face where the ball just really comes off it nicely. The elbow is doing well with golf as. Hands and elbow are getting better as I has less mis-hits on the ball. Think that's how I injured it to begin with, striking the ground hard instead of the ball. I really don't feel like I hit it that hard with the sports/activities in my life compared to others. Just been not so "on fire" for my workouts lately. I am down 2# today from yesterday so my mood is better. I really need to keep weighing myself daily as that keeps me on the straight and narrow with my eating. Just works for me. Glad you are perkier about your trip. I know you will have a fabulous time. What would your ideal trip length be for this one?

Debra, glad the back is better today. By the way, I fell the other day, right next to the computer here. I think I hooked my foot under the chair when I stood up, had that panic feeling and went down. My neck was a little sore the next day. Dumb move on my part.

Anointed, I love Denzel Washington! Might have to order that one on Netflix. I have 2 that have been sitting here for quite a while. Better watch one tonite with DH.

Carol, enjoy LIS today. I'm disliking the time change myself. I like it a little lighter in the evenings. Boohoo!

Swifty, glad you enjoyed CST today. I remember liking that one myself.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Back for a quick chat before I have to head to pick up the diva from school...She has a short day on Fridays. I have been busily organizing closets this morning and doing laundry. I did the my new Eoin dvd, too. I really liked it, but as you all know I have a thing for him. It is very calming. There is a meditation section included as well as a whole section explaining each of the poses in detail. His wife (or partner...not sure which) does the poses while he explains how to get into the pose and how to modify it. I think this section alone is probably worth the price of the dvd. The yoga poses section is about 40 minutes long...and there is a beginning and intermediate option for all of the poses. It is definitely easier than PY4H, but I enjoyed it. It would also be good for someone who is just starting out with yoga.

Alright...enough about Eoin....I am going to start personals, but I will have to return later to finish....since the diva doesn't like it when I am late.

....Wendy...Did you say where you are headed for the weekend and I just missed it?? I can't believe you were up so early...or did you just not go to bed? A thesaurus is a lovely thing! It does feel nice to have a man take care of me a bit. My XDH was never that kind of husband. And XDH knows he is going to be an ex...he just doesn't want to talk about it....or deal with it in any shape or form. I ordered the Slo Mo from Amy. I hope you are busily washing clothes so that your children have something to wear this weekend!

....Tracy...I figured the new Cathe stuff would be as long as what you normally want...or the weight work as challenging...although I do think that if you double up on the reps the weight work is good. I like the shorter cardio (possibly because I am lazy), so I have liked all of the new series so far. A little stiff today, but not as bad as I thought....I will have a couple of nasty bruises on my back though.

Okay...gotta run...back in a bit!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Traci: You snuck in on me again this morning! Your weekend plans sound divine! Can I go? I don't eat much.:+ ;) I previewed Amy Bento's new series. It looked interesting. I'm with you on her cardio. She's fond of spinning around isn't she!?!?! I got dizzy just watching her! I thought that some of her weight moves looked like an injury waiting to happen. But, without doing them, it's hard for me to say. First timers would have to be careful with their weight selections!!!! I don't feel anxious. More like, WTF did I get myself into!!! You know my motto for life: Fools Rush In! (Remember power heated yoga!) I feel very foolish for not thinking before agreeing to go for 2 months. Then again, I might be pleasantly surprised once I get there. I wish I could afford a new laptop before I go. That would help me feel better. I could still feel connected to the world.

Tracy-X: Don't know who Pam Cosmi is. Glad you are able to make LIS007 work for you!

Debra-X: I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new Eoin!

TG: UGH! cars can be so darn expensive. If I were single and childless, I would have to live in the city and use public transportation. Yeah, I know. It's easier said than done! Agreeing, Denzel is handsome!!! LOL, I was wondering how you were doing without sugar. Wondered if you killed anyone yet!:7 Good to know Ted is safe around you still!:+ I vote for ME. That one always gets me good!!!!

Carol: Oh, lookie! I have a partner to do LIS with me this afternoon. I need a cardio high today! :) LOL You too funny! Of course I want photos (front, back, side) and an excel spreadsheet progress report!:p :7 ;) Sure mail her to my family's village. It's named after my great-grandmother. Remind me to give you my relatives address after I come home!:+ I didn't pre-order or have any of Amy's stuff. I did like her cueing and personality on the sample clips. I'll have to wait until I hear every one's reviews before I decide if it's something I'll want.

Amy-X: You must be getting strong! ARX never felt good! LOL We're going up to the State College area. I just got off the phone with my sister. She says it's supposed to rain till Sat. night or Sunday. So, I think my bike is staying home. Otherwise, you'd hear me shriek, "I'm melting. I'm melting," while I shrivel up into a puddle of water.LOL I'm leaving late tonight to avoid football traffic. It's a home game with Ohio State.

Jeanette-X: Good job modifying the workouts again! Sometimes, I have to wonder if instructors are on edge trying to come out with new moves that the ones they use aren't the most effective. Who knows? LOL! You didn't need to explain your ball's sweet spot.:7 Glad you are able to hit it consistently!!!! How much more weight do you want to lose before you feel back on fire? I'm like Tracy these days. I try to gauge my body by jean fit. Oh! Just remembered! I have to see if my new jeans still fit. I washed them this morning. LOL

Hi to Lea, Sandra, Cheryl, and Laurie. Hope you ladies are doing well!!!

I'm off to shop for a birthday present. Eldest dd has a party to go to tonight.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Hi Debra,

Oh, I hope you didn't think that I meant you were sneaking around behind XDH's back! Looking over my 5:30 AM post, I could see how that might be interpeted. Noooo! Only that this new guy might be more than a fun fling. Thanks for the Eoin review. I might get it just for the instructional segement. Have a good day! Stay safe!!!!

Wendy

Wendy: No chocolate and NO WINE. I told Teddy I’m done! let me be, pleases………True that. If I lived closes to my job I’d caught the bus too, but, I don’t x( I work in NO MAN's LAND, buses don’t run here.

Debra: Great job. Eoin, oh my, I checked out his website, whatcha talking bout he’s a cutie.

One more report to go, and I’m out of here, I’m tired too with meeting in all. I think I’m going home and lay down a bit. I may even listen too my body, my legs are DOMS from B&G and than KM last night. I’ll see maybe I’ll just do upper body tonight, who the heck knows, I’m going though chocolate withdraw syndrome:-( :-( x( not nice either, moody bout now.

Hi all,

I did C&W (no abs) and then added on BM2 upper only and went as heavy as I could go. I did pretty good considering I didn't have any strength on Wednesday. I think the db set will really help to maximize my workouts.

TG - It's probably partly sugar withdrawals. That stuff is addictive.

Off to shower and maybe go to the grocery store. I hate to go when it's raining.

Tracy

Good day ya'll!

This morning I hauled my butt out of bed and did PLB, PUB core, SJP step, and SB stretch. 90 minutes, and a good time.

I was thinking a nice steady state 30min step routine would be SB warm up, SJP step, and SB c/d & stretch. I might do that the next time I want something nice but not killer intense. A sub for All-Step sort of thing.

Debra (aka the good mother) - how's DD today? I loved hearing the details about your new friend. No, I sure wouldn't want to be the one to tell XDH that you're dating again....and I sure wouldn't want to be the boyfriend when he finds out!!! Should my dvds ever arrive <frustration is building> I'll be joining you in that November rotation. It's such a sign of age that 24 year old boys are no longer in my potential dating pool (should I ever become single again). I married a 25 year old, but somehow I'm suddenly married to a 40 year old. Depressing! Thanks for the review of the Pure & Simple. Is his partner the blond woman wearing the red thong in PYFH?

Nicole - this rest is exactly what you need, so don't feel guilty about it. Keep up the good recovery! The pumpkin smoothie is a keeper, is it? Hmmmm, maybe I'll try that today or tomorrow. Another good recipe from that book is the rapini with figs and pine nuts. Cut the olive oil in half and use less pine nuts if you want to make it less calorically dense. A super tasty recipe from Laurel's Bread Book is the Deep Dark Date Molasses Bread. It's not as sweet as it sounds. I'm not taking a cake course right now; I finished level 2, and am taking a break. The next level gets into making fondant flowers and apparently requires a lot of time at home, preparing the icing and flowers for the week. Maybe I'll do it in the new year. For now I'm enjoying my own concoctions. I have to send cupcakes to DD's class next week (halloween party). I'll do something fun with those.

Carol - when are you starting the X? I'm in Canada. We're all still waiting for our workouts. Normally I order through a Canadian mail order company, and would have had my workouts last week. However, they've closed up and this is the first time I had to order from Cathe.com direct. The wait is ridiculously long. I don't know what takes so long? Debra ordered a video from Canada and got it in less than a week. Why does it take so long coming in the other direction? Ah, enough whining. It will get here eventually, right? I had an aunt with pschizophrenia (sp?) who always felt so good on her medication that she would stop taking it, 'cause she thought she was better. It was a terrible struggle for her family. She eventually committed suicide at the age of 41. So sad. I hope if your mother is truly ill, she will get the help she needs.

Amy - Arnica!!!! Well land's sake, I've never heard anyone mention that before. I was introduced to it by my midwife a few years ago, then our new British neighbour brought it with her from England. Is it common in your part of the world? OMG, you went to a movie!! I'm jealous beyond words! How nice!!

Jeanette - cornbread? Mmmmmmm :p What's the occaision tonight? Are you still thinking of doing X Round 2? If so, when will you start? As a Christi fan, is the choreo of HIS similarly complex as hers?

Wendy - Have a great weekend! My Cathe workout y-day and today both took me 1hr and 26mins. I added on Eoin's yoga later in the day. I hear your hollow assurances about how "fine" my parents are going to be in Thailand, and return you a skeptical glance. I'm "sure" you're right. They'll be "fine." I imagine you're panicking so much because despite your ultra-busy life, you're very much in control of everything, and 2 months in Thailand, dependent on the Crazy-non-planning-Asian doesn't suit your personality at all. Plus, you have to release a lot of control over your current life to other people (DH, relatives), who are going to do Just Fine with looking after/schooling the kids. Okay, so I'm transferring my feelings to you, but what other explanation could there be?? Really, it will all be good. Take 2 months and just go with the flow. Sargeant Sandra says so!!!!

Tracy - Do you think the premixes that combine the cardios will bring it to an intensity you'll like? It's too bad that you feel so disappointed in them. I have a feeling I'm really going to love the step workouts, based on the reviews, especially some kind of mix of the two step workouts.

Traci - Hmmm, I'm still waiting to hear how you liked today's workout. Or have you left already? Your weekend sounds like so much fun!! B-I-N-G-O!!!! I wish we had a weekday that started with the letter B, so we could have "Bingo Bowday". I think it would fit in well right after Friday. I'm glad you were happy to see me yesterday. Now you go and leave (shakes head). Was it something I said?! I've come to love doing my weights before cardio, and think I may use that premix feature more than the as-produced version. Maybe. I guess I can't say for sure until I've given them a whirl.

Teddygirl - Nice workout you have planned for today. Mr. Washington is definitely a hottie. Too bad he wasn't in Ocean's Eleven...that would have made the hottie line-up complete. Did I mention that I have Ocean's Eleven playing on a continuous loop in my living room?

Have a great day!!

Tracyx, C&W is a super fun wo. BM2 is super tough -I can say I've only done it a few times and remember it being an extreme challenge. Nice pairing - WTG! Nice to hear you are feeling back on track with your strength and stamina. That didn't take long:7
I'm just back from a rainy grocery trip. Ick! We need the rain though;) Don't get too wet if you go.

My mom asked DD and I out for dinner at our fave italian restaurant tonight. DH just called to say the plane touched down safe and should be home when we get back from eating.

I'm pleased to -MIL is cooperating with the zoo trip plans. :) I arranged for the day to start at 9 A (she is rarely awake before 10-or 11) She is making quite an effort to make it happen.:) We will keep it a secret from DD. She is such a spaz when waiting for something to take place.;(

Bye!

Finally back for the rest of personals....

....Tracy...Need to edit my previous post to say that I did NOT think the new Cathe's would be as long as you wanted...I wasn't clear before. Sounds like you got a very thorough workout tonight. Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

.....Wendy.....Who knows about my new boy?? He has the potential to be more than a fun fling, but we are both so raw from our previous relationships that it's to much to think about right now! I know you will have a good experience in Thailand when you go...even though you crazily decided to go for 2 months...but hey, you only live once!!

....Sandra....I have Ocean's 11 playing in one room and Little Miss Sunshine in the other...that way all genres are taken care of! I think you will like the new Cathe's...The cardios are just shorter like CTX...but I have really enjoyed the choreography of everything so far....I am planning on HIS tomorrow and that will be my last one to do. I am sure the premixes offer some longer versions of the cardio if that is what you are looking for. Wow...you had a long workout this morning! Did you get much time to exercise while the parents were in town? Don't give me the "good mother" title yet...I just dropped my little diva at my mom's so I could go on a date tonight! I am planning on taking her to either a haunted trail on Sunday...or there is a special haunted trail based on the Wizard of Oz that we may go to...I guess you start off with Dorothy and pick up the Scarecrow, etc along the way. If I am feeling perky enough we will definitely do that one. You are a much better mother than I since you are sending homemade cupcakes to DD's school! Eoin's partner is the Indian/Pakistani lady from PY4H...On his website the name is listed as his "love and soulmate" but it is a very middle eastern name....which of course, I can't remember now.

....Teddygirl...Waving to you and Ted up there in Ohio! Eoin is a cutie for sure...I'll post a pick of my new "friend" if I can ever get a picture of him! Denzel is the man!

....Carol...I hate daylight savings time...it was pitch dark when I got up this morning....can't wait for the time change! I am hoping I like Cathe's complex stuff in HIS...I am usually such a klutz, I trip all the time!

....Swifty...Waving as you bounce on by sounding cheerful as usual! What is your DD dressing as for Halloween? Glad MIL is cooperating.

....Jeanette...Glad you enjoyed the workout this morning. I am hoping to do that one tomorrow. Glad you were careful with your weight choices. I hate falling...I always feel like such a goof! But, apparently, I am a goof since I fall all the time. WooHoo...on the 2# loss...always a good thing. I always feel less frumpy even if I just lose a pound...I think it is such an emotional thing. what are your big plans for the weekend? More wood stacking? or maybe a nice bike ride? Your fox (coyote) hunt day sounds like my week has been...LOL!

Sending some shout outs to Amy, Cheryl (who seems to have disappeared), Nicole (hope all is well...hugs), Laurie, Lea, and waving to Traci as she heads to the bay! I will see you all tomorrow!

Good Afternoon all!

LIS done :D I'll probably do this one on the 8" step next time as it's not quite high enough intensity for me (but I'm a cardio/intensity junkie). The weight work was great and overall it went much more smoothly this time around :)

Wendy -- 2 months?? :-O I thought it was a month. YIKES! That's quite a long time. How much longer until you leave? I hope you had a great time with LIS today like I did ;-)

Sandra -- I'll be doing the X probably in January or February. Sorry your workouts are taking so long to arrive and you can't get them from a more local source anymore :-( They're definitely worth waiting for, though! My sister has Bipolar Disorder and is on again/off again with meds, so I'm very familiar with that, too, unfortunately. Fortunately right now, though, she's on. She's actually more sane than my mom this week, it's a miracle. Sorry to hear about your aunt. Mental illness is so tough for all the family members involved.

Debra -- I tend to be a klutz, too. Make sure you preview lots. It'll help some, but the cueing (especially of which feet) is a little bit lax on HIS.

Hi to everyone else! I hope you all enjoy your Friday evening!!

Carol

Hi all,

I'm back from my wet trip to Costco. It wasn't too painful and at least now it is done.

I didn't mean to sound so negative about the workouts. I will always buy whatever Cathe does. I still have bootcamp to do and like Sandra said, maybe I can combine cardio to get something more enjoyable for me. I do like the weight work.

Wendy - I didn't realize you were going for TWO months either. That is a long time. We went on vacation for over 3 weeks summer before last and that was long enough. Well, if I didn't have to come home to bills and other cra& I could go for longer.

I have to throw together the store bought baked chicken and instant mashed potatoes. I won't be eating that!
