X'ers Fabulous Friday 1/5

CL/PH2/WK1/Day5

Oh my goodness, I am finally here! I swear, there are just not enough hours in a day.

Okay, I'll start off with great news!! It was Back & Biceps and ARX for me today, and....I did FIVE unassisted chin ups!! WOOHOO!!! They weren't done consecutively, and two of them were not very deep, but I did them! I was stoked. When I was doing the warm up, I said to DD1, who was playing nearby, "I'm going to do an unassisted pullup today." She looked at me and said, "A what?". I said, "I'm going to pull myself up over that bar without putting my feet on the step." She said, "Oh." And went back to colouring. But for some reason this morning I just knew I was going to be able to do it. I am now content :)

Traci - I must have missed something y-day (I had to read super quick). You did YogaX AND LB in the same day?? My, you need to have someone come to your house and tie you down! Why did you do this?

Gayle - I stopped doing all other activities when I started P90X, so I can't tell you whether swimming may interfere. Sorry! I only have about an hour a day to spend on workouts, so I can only do the X. I'm hoping, though, that the added core and upper body strength will translate into better strokes when I do get back into the water. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much. I'm actually allergic to something in the pool and after a swim will spend the rest of the day sneezing to beat the band. But I still do it, because I love it so much.

Tracy - I'm right with you on the exercise fixation. I enjoy planning my workouts, thinking about what's coming up, and all of that. Your flexibility is making super gains!! Do you find one side to be easier than the other in that pose? I do. How nice to hear your back is treating you better.

Jeanette - You certainly did Bring It with LB today!! I, too, think the increase in carbs after Phase I is giving me more energy and stamina in the workouts. I've moved on to more of a PhaseIII type eating, and am glad I did. I like being grain-fed :)

X - Very interesting how you're changing things to suit you. It sounds like you're making some sensible decisions that will allow the program to work for you. And good job to you and DH for being wine-free for a week. When something is such a habit in your life, change is difficult.

Monica - Yup, I think CoreSyn is pretty advanced, too. I enjoyed reading all your comments. Yes, you should feel the Table Tri Dips in your triceps. But it also works your glutes, and general core area.

Lea - Glad I could make you smile with the $1000 bill comment. Maybe next time you're planking, it will make you squeeze a little harder :) My kids don't appreciate me - what kid ever does? I enjoy the little Tony-Dreya saga, but I think it's Stephanie who has been digging up all the little web-bits. BTW, does anyone know anything about Tony? I think HE'S the Senior Mysterioso!

Have a good night, and I'll see you tomorrow!
