Xers and XX'er!!! FRIDAY

Cathlete
Good Morning X & XX’ers!!!! HOW COOL WE HAVE A SUPERSTAR IN OUR GROUP!!!!

Everyone stand up and give Laurie XX a HUGE round of applause!!! Here’s some ooooohhhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhhhh, wooooooooow’s just for our gal!!!!!!!!!!

Hip Hip Hooray- *tosses XX’er in air*
Hip Hip Hooray- *tosses XX’er in air*
Hip Hip Hooray- *tosses XX’er in air*
*** oops- XXer may have been thrown a bit too high on that last one- hmmmmmmmm***

OK- There’s a reason I never did BM1/2 as produced…... working that hard with cardio SUCKS! }(

After Step Segment 1 I switched from 1 to ZERO risers!!!
After Power Circuit segment 2 I jogged in place & did hamstring curls… My HR was so high it wasn’t funny….
I drank 32 oz of water just in the first hour alone… That’s unheard of for me.
I also only did 1 set of each of the upper parts as I had done double SS Upper the day before….scre* the abs I said….. Wasn’t feeling the LOVE for Cathe when this one was over…. Afraid she caught the wrath of my early ttom!

Also did Ellen Barretts Pilates/Yoga Blend in PM. I can really see with easier Yoga DVDs that I am making progress…

Today calls for a little old 20 minute run… ZIPPITY! Thanks Cathe- (I love ya again already!) It’s a steady state so I may just do that sun up and on the street as the golf path is too hilly for SSC… I also need to avoid all rats! … I also have yoga of course & will do that in 2 sessions of AM & PM just because I’ll have the time …..I received & previewed Mark Blanchard- Progressive Power Yoga Foundation… I LOVE it from the preview… So I’ll be doing this one today for sure…

Received & previewed Kimberley Spreens Amplify Your Strength from Within- I’m SCARED! LOL…. Its all body weighted stuff- she cycles thru upper & lower … LOTS & LOTS of Yoga moves plus squat/lunge series…. Standing & floor segments… LOTS of various planks, pushups etc…. Somehow I see a Cathe Power Yoga just like this. I think its going to be a great one – but not as “easy” as I imagined…. To me it makes Core Syn look like Childs play.

My MIL is having angioplasty on Monday so we are scrambling to get details and a game plan… She is nearly 80 in pretty good health but still we cant leave her alone if she’s allowed to come home…. Its going to be a 6-8 hour stay at hospital for me on Monday- Wendells going to spend the night at her house (its close to his office) so she doesn’t have to deal with monster dogs at my place…. When he goes to work I’ll go take care of her for the day…. At best it looks like 3 days of this schedule ….His siblings aren’t planning to come to town to help…..

Back with personals in a few…..

Back with the important stuff!

:7 :7 Debra X
ROF with the Nathan clip! What a little cutie pie…. Boy seeing a talent like that makes you remember that theres a higher power! I LOVED his last song- Running away from the Tiger !
So its WORKOUT DAY for Debra!!! Yippee…… Your plan for total body sounds great… I’m going to bet that you GAINED strength not lost any. Have a fabulous time!!
The picture of you standing on store shelves & reaching is just too much! Has anything ever come tumbling down? I am so sorry about your BF struggle… it’s a “pita” trying to figure out what our bodies really want and then actually doing it…. Funny you said she’s 52… My BF Linda just turned 51 last month. Maybe we are living parallel universes! Hope Farmers Market was fun and fruitful! You live in a state where theres drinking zones too? That freaked me out when I first moved to Texas… also the no booze buying on Sundays! – That law has since changed in the city to no booze buying before noon but we still are surrounded by dry counties!

:7 :7 Cheryl:
Been meaning to ask you if you are still loving having your mirrors…I definitely need to get 1 or 2 more because with my workout room now bigger I am challenged to stay in the perfect spot to check form. GREAT w/o yesterday! You’ll be hitting that 2 hour mark soon… Ooooh!

:7 :7 TeddyGirl:
Many prayers & Hugs coming your way!!!!

:7 :7 TracyX
I agree totally on your take of cardio- I’m planning on keeping things varied for crosstraining – even alternating SS runs & biking with intervals- I also have no desire to go back to the old days of step everyday… I think Cathe has 1 of the Body Max’s each week in this rotation so that’s going to be my only marathon cardio…. I’m changing some of her step days to Kick too. Hopefully all of that will indeed Shock My Body.

:7 :7 Nicole!!
530and Yoga X? That should never appear in the same sentence! GOOD FOR YOU! Such a dedicated soon to be Xer… Yes- we will proudly stand with you! So happy my posts can energize you- what a terribly sweet thing to say! The synergy of the group is incredible isn’t it? Cant wait to hear about your first air conditioned night! YEAH

:7 :7 AMY:
Great choice on your free meal…. I could eat Mexican food every day… What I love – I Love and I want LOTS of it!

Great Day to all who folloW!!
:7 :7

Good morning,

CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY LAURIEXX!!!!!!!!!!!!

TraciX - are you doing one of Cathe's rotations? Which BM did you do yesterday?

I'm off to the basement now to do Leaner Legs, as per the rotation, then tack on PLB floorwork and 4 rounds of push/pull ups.

Hello to the Whole Gang!
SandraX

Hi all,

Yesterday was leaner legs, a short yoga and a walk. Leaner legs is always a challenge, but I feel that it is such a good workout. Sandra, I see you have it on tap for today. It gets a lot done in a short amount of time. Today is probably going to be 30 minutes on the elliptical, some floor work, and then yoga. I’m trying to get in 4 cardio, two-three sessions of lower body, and two upper, plus my yoga in a week. That is not easy to do and may be too much. I’m trying to increase the muscle density in my legs.

Traci – How exciting about constructing the website. You know, I’ve never done BM2 in its entirety. I'm wondering why your HR is going so high. You've commented on that a couple of times. You had TTOM early, I’ve skipped this month and that usually happens when I increase my cardio/distance. I feel like it also is in relation to BF because estrogen needs BF. I’d rather not skip though because I have this semi-bloated feeling that I can’t get rid of. One more thing about working out in general; I think that you have to frequently/periodically change your focus to maximize your results. More weights and less cardio works for a while, then you just have to switch it up. It’s like zig zagging calories, but over a long period of time, but you know that. It’s not easy to do because if it was, then everyone would be in great shape.

Amy – I still think that part of your weight is water retention in the muscle. I bet if you quit lifting heavy for a week or so you would drop a few pounds. If you like what is happening, I’d quit getting on the scale. I think everyone knows that I don’t do the scale anymore. After years of thin thinking, it’s still hard to see a bigger number, so I just don’t look.

Debra – Glad you got your workout room ready to workout in. I’m short too, 5’3” and have just learned to live with it. I wish that I was closer to all of that furniture. You are supposed to be able to get some really good deals. Is that still true? I’m sorry about your friend and the weight. It’s possible to fight the middle aged spread, but I think that if you haven’t been physical and active for most of your life it could be quite challenging. It is amazing to me how many people hate to workout, and it shows.

Nicole – Congratulations on surviving through all of yoga x. It didn’t last long for me because somehow I just couldn’t take Tony seriously as a yoga instructor. If I’m going to do yoga, it has to be with someone who really does yoga. I hope that you get the AC thing going soon. It is exciting to finish the x, and get back to some old favorite workouts.

Cheryl – We haven’t had any ice cream for over a week and I’m glad of it. I will sometimes go in and get just a spoonful and eat it over the sink. Those calories don’t count right? Wrong! I’m going to get some today though. The kids like it and its not fair to deprive them because I don’t have any will power.

Anointed – Sorry about your nephew. You had had one problem after another.

Sandra – No worries about the personals. Just check in when you can. I hope the zoo was fun. I can’t do the zoo anymore. It just is too depressing to see all of the animals in the cages. They have improved ours somewhat, but there are still way too many cage like settings.

Jeanette- I tried the powdered milk years ago and it was vetoed by the family. It does taste rather disgusting. Then I tried to use it to cook with and that didn’t work either. Obviously I was trying to save money in my early SAHM days. I gave up on that.

Wendy – Food impacting your sanity? That is the one reason that I am so strict with my diet. The mood swings are just not worth it.

Later,

Tracy

Good morning ladies!! Hope all is well with your worlds today!

First of all....WOOOOOHOOOOOO Laurie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go!!!!!!!!!! I am not worthy of being on the same check in as YOU!!!LOL!!!!!

Things are going good here...painters still hard at work...but now, only the hallways and DD's room are left...Yeah!!! Also have the people coming to do the surround sound and security system today. Then we are heading to the farmer's market. Not really cooking a lot lately, but I am planning on getting some plants to fill in our beds a bit.

And, yes, I can finally workout today! I am still thinking MM...but then I was thinking last night I had time to do CTX as produced before I leave for NYC...so I will probably make that decision as I walk into my new and improved workout space.

Traci....Hope you have fun on your run this morning...Hope you don't run into the peeping tom!!! I knew there was a reason I hadn't done BM2 as produced. I am too much of a wimp! Sorry to hear about your MIL. Hope all goes well with her. I just love it when siblings don't pitch in to help during those times. It sounds like Tracy has turned you into a yogi after all!! Have fun with your new dvds! And yes, I have had lots of things tumble down on me while reaching for something. Usually there is a taller person standing there looking at me like I am crazy. They just don't understand! We also still have dry counties in NC...I remember when we got liquor by the drink in my hometown. I also remember when you couldn't buy alcohol on Sundays...anywhere! We've relaxed our Southern Baptist tendencies a bit, but there are still plenty of restrictions.

Tracy....My friend has always eaten healthy and exercised...it's just that now things have shifted a bit and she doesn't like where they are. She has recently gotten into pilates and that has really helped her middle a lot. I like the sounds of your rotation right now...although for me ding legs more than once a week would be torture! I admire your dedication. Do you like your elliptical? I was thinking about getting one for my new workout room, but have never done too much work on them...since I have never belonged to a gym...I've only done it during hotel stays.

Sandra..I am sure you legs are burning as I am typing this! Hope you have another fun day on tap...and I am assuming that a leopard didn't eat one of your children yesterday!

Okay...gotta go dust off my workout shoes and put on some gym clothes!! I'll bbl to let you know how out of shape I have gotten over the past month!

Hi, everyone!! Happy Friday!!

WOO HOO to Laurie! We're not worthy! There's a superstar among us :7 :7 :7

Traci, loving your description of the BM2 cardio fest. You always have me laughing. Guess that one really emptied your sippy cup :)

Tracy, love that Leaner Legs. Enjoy! And try to do better than I did with the ice cream in the house ;-) May help to buy a flaver you don't like so well... I can leave the cookie dough ice cream alone, but it was the chocolate/peanut butter that I could not resist. Dang it!

Debra, enjoy that workout. Will be fun to hear what you choose.

Sandra, enjoy your workout room. Nice workout areas are the best!

Tracy, I am loving the mirror. It is giving me feedback I didn't have before, for both better and worse. I can't see all angles - there's a countertop between me and part of the mirror, but I can see well enough to satisfy me that I'm watching at least some of my form from all angles.

Get this - one of my YaYa friends actually just put a tiny fridge in her new workout room to have chilled bottles of water always on top. Cool!

I was tired this morning. Tempted to take a rest day, but instead decided to work out for one hour only - GS Chest followed by 1/2 of Step Fit. Glad I did! Will have to make up the GS Tri's tomorrow morning before my long run. That's okay. It's shaping up to be a good workout week. :7

Have a great Friday morning, everyone! TGIF!

Cheryl

Phase 3/ Week 11/ Day 5/ Round 1

L&B+ARX

Yeah, Laurie!!!! Good job becoming an XX'er!! Hope you had a great last X workout. I have to finish the first round then maybe I'll think about doing it again down the road:)

I am gettinng ready to do L&B and then it's off to the store to get some healthy food in this house. Honestly, I am so sick of salad and grilled chicken. Can you all throw aout any more interesting ideas? I am not a huge fish fan but I will eat salmon. I just need to get veggies in another form than salad and peppers. Let me know!

Traci-X, I have done BM2 twice as produces and it is a killer. Now I'm anxious to do it. Call me crazy but at thisa point Cathe is at the top of my list for workouts I'm doing post X. Have fun on your little run and doing your yoga. The 1-1/2 yesterday actually went by faster than usual, maybe I'm getting used to it:)

Debra, It's your official workout day!!! Hope you have an energetic and fun workout. Let me know how it goes. The boys are stirring so I may be able to workout soon too:) Have a great time at the Farmer's Market. I wish I had one close, so much great food.

Sandra, I need to get Leaner Legs. It seems to be on so many of the rotations. It's so expensive though, but maybe I'll break down:) Have a great workout!

TracyX, O.k., that's nine workouts and there are only seven days in a week. Hmmm, sounds like someone has too much time on there hands:)LOL! You are dedicated, I'll say that. Hey, if I had time and bigger kids, I'd do it, what fun. Are we crazy or what? I need good clean food ideas and I know you're the one to ask. If you have any, let me know!

Cheryl, Glad your workouts are going well this week! At this point, I'd just settle for a workout room then maybe I'd think about a fridge of chilled water:)LOL:p Hope work is going weel and that you hired two competant people to make it 10. Have a great weekend!

Jeanette, Having a great time camping I hope!

Wendy, Busy taking a shower?

Have a great weekend all. I look forward to your food ideas.

Nicole

LaurieXX You ROCK! WHOOOO HOOOO! Someone melt down a 30 pound dumbbell and crown her!!!:7 :7 :7 Miss. XX, now that you've won the title of XX, what are your plans? Do any of them include going to Disney World? :7 :+ ;-) Seriously, you should be proud, not to mention strong, for reaching the X status TWICE!!!! :7

My sister just called. The international arts festival is next week. :-( I'm still planning on going up there this weekend.

MIL called with news that FIL is on oxygen now. Since he isn't sleeping very much (2 hours stretches), she isn't either. Her uncharacteristic moodiness puts my mood swings to shame!!! She started getting upset when I told her eldest ds had to study while Phil was fixing the sewer pipe on the 4th. I thought I had smoothed it over when I explained that we had already canceled his test date once and I didn't want to bother the recruiter on the 4th to cancel it again. A little later, she calls dh and starts yelling at him for being too nice and not asking one of the neighbors for help!!! LOLOLOL Poor Phil was able to calm her down. Thankfully, he didn't jokingly suggest that she help herself to some Prozac! We need to get up there soon and make her take a nap!!!

Today calls for ahhhhh XStretch. I'm thinking of shopping for a pair of capris today too. What I really need to shop for is a new rotation!!!! I might spend some time going over my workout collection and see what I need to fill it out. I'm such a procrastinator though that it probably won't happen till the last day of the X.

BBL for personals. I'm going shopping first! :7 ;)

Ballistic Hugs To ALL!!!
Wendy

Hi Nicole,

I see you slipped in while I was posting. I know you're sick of chicken and salad. However, why not spice it up differently with my favorite Thai dish, Spicy Chicken Salad. Buy some chicken breasts (have the butcher put it through the meat grinder), 3 limes, fish sauce, mint, scallions, red onion, leafy greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, hot peppers, and rice. Toast a handful of rice in a skillet over med-high heat till golden brown. Grind it all in a blender. Next, evacuate the house if you bought fresh hot peppers. Roast the hot peppers in the oven or on a skillet till dried and crisp. Toss those in the blender and grind. There will be smoke, burning the eyes kind of smoke. So, I suggest buying it already ground. Next, cook the ground chicken. While that's cooking, chop, slice and dice your veggies. After the chicken is cooked, add fresh lime juice ( ~2 limes) and fish sauce (~2-4 tablespoons), sprinkle on a couple of tablespoons of toasted ground rice, and a handful of chopped mint and scallions. Sprinkle on some hot peppers to your liking. Taste. If you want it more salty, add more fish sauce. More acidic, add more lime. Toss in the chopped red onions, pour over prepared salad (leafy greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots). Enjoy.

ALERT: My mind isn't working. I forgot to tell you to add another herb. I can't think of which one is missing. I can see it in my mind, but I forget the name! Gotta call my mom and report back to you later.

Now, I gotta go shopping or I won't later.

Wendy :)

Hi all,

I think that I may run today instead. It is not humid at all. I'll have to see how I feel when I get home.

Laurie - Congratulations on reaching XX status. You should be looking pretty darn buff!

Nicole- I'm sick of salad and for me it's fish. I got into a real rut on boring salads because I still cook the family one thing and I eat something else. We've been eating so late that my meals have not been very tasty; nutritious yes, tasty no. So, I stir fried the peppers a few days ago for a change. I even ate a slice of pizza on Wed. after my bike ride. I surely don't prepare as complicated meals for myself as Wendy does. The meals for the family are Ok.

Wendy - Do you cook like that all of the time? I'm trying to be more resourceful and step out of my same old meals box, but it is tough. I hope that there isn't something really bad about chicken then my family is in trouble.

Wendy, I actually have a lot of those ingredients on hand. I keep them around for my sad attempts at panang curry dishes. Can I make extra and freeze this? I'm glad I like to cook because otherwise it might be a bit daunting.

Tracy, I eat different meals than my family too. My son actually asked why I ate different food than them. I let him know it was because of my thyroid and he was satisfied with that. It's tough for me to keep my weight down so I have to make sacrifices,i.e. good food:)

Off to the store,

Nicole

Nicole,

I just got home and remembered that you should add cilantro: fresh, leaves plucked and chopped. Add it along with the mint. If you have some parsley, you could add it too. But, it's not essential. I've never tried freezing it. I'm not sure how the mint and cilantro would hold up to it. You could always try and see. I usually make this dish for the whole family. I make about 2.5 to 3 pounds at a time. Any leftovers are usually gone by lunch time the next day. I add the hot peppers last after I've plated the girls' portions. My family usually eats this spooned over sticky rice or steamed rice. They'll take a couple leaves of green lettuce and roll the chicken and rice inside of it too. Whatever works. ;-)

BTW, this is the same dish that I linked awhile back with pictures and step by step instructions. Their ingredients is close to what I've always used. They use chili pepper paste instead of ground peppers. And, they sell the ground peppers, chili paste, and ground rice if you don't want to make your own. My mom grows the peppers, roasts it, grinds it, and bottles it all up for me. She needs to mail me more paste. I need to make fresh ground rice as mine is a bit stale after all these years. You can always buy it though. If I can find the link again, I'll post it for you.

Gotta go try on my new pants. They were sold out of the capris. :-(

BBS,
Wendy

Hello all lady xer's. Returned on Wed pm. This is the first I've had time to post.

I chose to treat Thursday as my Monday with Phase 3/Wk 11/Day 1 Chest and Back ARX and today was Plyox. I do so much better when my head is clear. Before vacation I had so much on my mind, the wo's suffered.x(

Camping was great! I woke early each am to ride my bike for 40 min. I chose a 5 mi. loop with 2 really excellent 1/2 mi hill climbs included. It was gorgeous, on my last day crossing the dam I began to tear up, I did not want to leave. So peaceful!;(

Wanted to say you ladies are such a busy bunch! I am so inspired. :7 I know I can't quit now, I'd be left in the dust.

Hey Wendy,

We have a running joke at my house that my Mexican food always consists of something with cilantro. It's just not Mexican without it, but my Mexican is simple. I didn't realize that other cultures use cilantro........

Swifty, glad you had a nice trip. I am always hesitant to leave to go on a long vacation, then once I get away, don't want to come back.

Nicole - Good luck on the cooking. Let me know how it turns out. I may have to try that one. I made lasagne for the family tonight. I'm eating roasted asparagus, and stir fried zuccini and yellow squash with onions.

Off to run.

Tracy

Todays 20 minute run was GRUELING! My legs felt fine it was the humidity…. I was outside 10 minutes before I was drenched in sweat and breathing hard & heavy…(That was at 630am!) Tracy X asked about my HR being so high lately- It’s the humidity. It literally is a sauna around here with all the rain and heat. I always struggle in the summer + ttom doesn’t help… My challenging days are really very much in sync with what the “Cycle Theory” of working out is. Sandra X asked about my rotation…. Its pretty much Nov 06 Shock Your Body (new series) with just a few Traci Twists for freedom!

I did Mark Blanchard’s Progressive Power Yoga today…. Very Very Cool! I really like his style and appreciate his “coaching” throughout the w/o. Very much like Eoin in that I feel he accepts his students wherever they are at and helps you BE there… He is wonderful with modifications & cuing. No premixes tho- that’s a bummer for me.

SandraX!!!
It figures the 1 morning I wasn’t around here you came out to play early! I did BM2 on Thursday… I’m sure you think I’m a wimp! You are my cardio endurance hero! LL is so BAAAAAAD! I hope you loved the burn of it all! Adding floor + P/Ups is just plain SARGE SANDRA! IE: Nut-so!!!

TRACYX!!!!
Send some of that perfect weather my way please! We are in for this nightmare heat/humidity pretty much until late Sept now. Well thanks a lot for sending your MIA ttom my way! Actually it all worked out because of my MIL surgery Monday…. Days 1 & 2 are very painful and heavy so now I wont worry about being stuck at the hospital while dealing with that. Wouldn’t it be cool if our bodies had a switch that said- OK GALS- TIME TO SWITCH TO CIRCUITS FOR WEEKS! Lol Have you done any Yoga X now that your are so flexible? I was just wondering if it made it more pleasant for you now.Funny about you & zoo….. DH and I are the same way…. We are both highly sensitive to seeing animals in captivity – especially when its not even made to appear to be their environment. We went once 6 years ago and I think we both left in shock and very shaken.

Debra X!!!!
So after this weekend will everything pretty much be done in the house already? You are one strict customer! Maybe Sarg SandraX will have to pass the whip!!! All I know is that the next time I have a major project I am paying you to be in charge while I go train clients! Maybe a later post will tell me what you ended up doing as your “Consummation Workout!”

Cheryl!!!
LOL “emptied your sippy cup” LOLOLOL YEP- It sure did woman! Probably a workout you breeze thru! Good idea about ice cream…. DH is a Rocky Road FREAK & I cant stand to look at RR so that’s all I buy… never once tempted by it. So glad you are getting full benefit out of your mirrors! LOL on the fridge… Shoot Cheryl- if I did that I’d have no excuses left to hit pause and walk to kitchen! BAD IDEA!!! Lol

Wendy!!!
Gosh it feel like your last 2 weeks are taking forever! LOL I never did have a keen sense of time tho so I’m sure its just me. GOD BLESS YOU for hanging in thru a dropout w/o partner, house construction, toilet issues, 45 children & their needs + ILLNESS! You deserve at least a week knocked off your X sentence just for all of that! I’ll miss you for sure this weekend but I know you will love seeing your sis! So sorry about FIL …. I keep praying for all of us and our parents…. Very very challenging. Not like theres a How To book about all this.

Nicole!!!
Week 11 almost under your belt….. Its really gonna happen for you…. Is your tummy getting butterflies yet? LOL- I KNOW what you mean about Chicken & Salad!!!! I just planned my food for next week and I am going to alternate every meal with a different protein source & veggie….. B: Egg/white S: Protein Shake L: Tuna S: Chicken D: Fish…. I figure I’ll cook while DH is at bay Sat/Sun and then he can eat whatever I have left for dinner & he’ll think I cooked every night… LOL ON Leaner Legs…. I certainly wouldn’t invest in CTX if you aren’t into those kind of shorter workouts… L&G *GS Legs is just as good…. Personally I LOVE CTX but that’s because I don’t like/do marathon cardio (that’s anything over 45 minutes in my book!)

Swifty!!!
Glad to have you back safe & sound! Your vacation sounds heavenly! I get very emotional saying goodbye to beautiful places as well… Shoot- I’m just an emotional person by nature but beautiful spots in nature always get me real good. Week 11… You’re just about there now!

Off to finish my grocery list.... HELLO to Laurie XX, Amers, TeddyGirl, - I think thats all we are missing so far today... If I missed someone I am very sorry! Hugs to all!
:7 :D :7 :D

Okay, I finally have a moment to do some personals before we head on out.

Debra-X: Thanks for the link last night. That little boy was impressive and very sweet. Normally, extremely intelligent children who go on Leno or Letterman are smart s$$es. But, he was just as adorable as talented! And, he speaks Russian too! :) I wonder if he reads music yet. And, if he doesn't, will learning mess him up? LOL Doubtful! It'll probably enhance his performance and composition! Oh, Let's not even get into the Southern Baptists! Some of the Northern Baptists up my way won't even baptise you if won't proclaim that drinking is a sin! And that wine mentioned in the Bible is really fruit juice. Okay, I've gotta stop myself before I get riled up. I'm 5'3" and the only time I ever felt a twinge of jealously towards taller people was when I stood on a step stool and realized how much I could see. The difference was amazing! Another reminder of how small my world is! LOLOLOL

Traci-X: What would I do without you cheering everyone on and dragging me to the home stretch! I hope Laurie recovers from her airborne congrats and is celebrating today! ROFL about your BM riser change.:7 :7 Don't mind me. I won't be laughing next week when I reaquaint myself with her killer cardios. You are a sweetie to help out with MIL. I'm sure Wendell appreciates being married to you!!! I suspect you MIL does too!!! I'll be keeping her in my prayers! Keep us updated on her surgery and recovery.

Sandra-X: I finally checked out your cakes. Amazing! The tent kids are soooooo cute!!!!!!! It does look like a lot of fun! What's your next cake going to be? A group of Xers doing their favorite poses? LOL Start working on it for when Debra hosts the first Xer get together! ;-) I'm scared of you! LL and PLB and push/pull-ups! Those legs could be considered deadly weapons!!!!:7

Tracy-X: How long do you workout including Yoga. I know I've asked you this numerous times before and you've answered me each and every time. I guess, I'm just not wired like the rest of y'all. I'm so happy to get in ONE workout a day! I don't think I'll ever run more than a couple of minutes on the treadmill either. And YogaX feels like eternity!!!! I'm one of those who hate to workout!:7 Really, it's a struggle to love doing it. It was easier when Phil was doing the X with me. Also, I think I'm just ready for the X to be over because I miss Cathe. I usually always get mood swings the days leading up to TTOM. I've never kept a food journal, so I'm not quite sure what I ate that kept the hormones balanced on those rare occasions when TTOM crept up unexpectedly. I think it was more protein. I'm not much of a protein consumer. I get mental at times when I think about what I'm eating. If I had the energy, I might try going vegan. But, I'm too lazy to plan all that! LOL You think my Spicy Chicken Salad looks like a lot of fuss? Really it isn't. I find that one of the easiest dishes to cook if I have all the stuff in the fridge. Yes, Thai people love using any herb and spice and vegetable they can get their hands on! My mom HAS to eat vegetables at every meal or she doesn't have any energy!! It's very different from other ethnic foods though. They are fond of fish sauce. I find Chinese food way too greasy and Indian food way too HOT and creamy! I do love Mexican foods! YUM!

Cheryl: I'm so jealous of you all with workout rooms, mirrors and cold water. Maybe, when the kids grow up and move out, I'll get one! Hopefully, I won't be too old to enjoy it by then.;-) Good for you pushing play! I love that feeling I get after I push myself to just do it! It's almost better than bringing it on on an energized day!

Nicole: Hope you had a nice dinner and found some more recipes to tempt your senses while fitting nicely into your diet. The end is almost here!!! How exciting huh! Oh! I thought about you the other night while watching a show before bed. It was all on Yellowstone National Park. They showed that Inn you stayed at and Swift Amy worked. It is beautiful there!!!

Swift Amy: Glad you had a nice camping trip. Now that you are back, are you feeling better about it? I must be wired differently. No matter where I go, I still love coming home, even if it's to a dirty house. Have you decided what rotation to do post-X. It'll be here before you know it! :)

Teddygirl: I hope all is getting better your way! Take Care!!!!

Jeanette-X: You're probably riding like the wind. Miss you already! See you when you get back online!

Well, I'm off to quickly pack for my weekend away. It doesn't take me long. I've been doing it for the last 10 years! I'm leaving Phil home with Baby and taking eldest's ds' girlfriend. She's such a sweetie and scared to death of me. Nice combination don't ya think? LOL

Stay focused this weekend and Be Strong!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!:* :* :*

Posting while Phil tries to tie eldest dd's trek onto the station wagon.

Traci-X!!! I was thinking of you and HAD to tell you before I left. When I was in the 5th grade, we moved to the elementary school on the other side of town. At my old school, I was the fastest girl in track. But, this new school was TOUGH! I wasn't the darkest girl in the class anymore. ;-) And, I was like the second or third fastest. But, there was this huge, MUSCULAR boy in my class who was FAST. I would give him my lunch or help him with math and he would literally PULL me when we ran the timed mile. I don't know how the coach let us get away with this! :7 It helped increase my speed after awhile to where I could eventually run the fastest out of the girls on my own once in awhile.

Anyhow, the thought occured to me because YOU are that guy!!!!!! Only you're dragging me to finish the X and not making me give you my lunch!!!!!!!:7 :7 :7

Now, I've gotta go. Looks like a midnight arrival. There is a method to my madness. I like to drive late so the girls will sleep instead of needing to use the bathroom and asking me a million times, "How much longer till we get there?"

Have a Great Weekend Ladies!
