Xer Wednesday.....WooHoo 1/2 way mark!

Cathlete
Morning gals! Its already Wednesday! This week is flying by for me...
Just got DH out the door (430am) - he's like a little kid going to DisneyLand! He picks up the fishing buddy and loads the boat then off on their 7 hour drive south! Port Isabel is about 45 minutes from the mexican border so its a LONG drive! He didnt sleep a wink last night which meant NO SNORING!:D The "kids" are all depressed.... They thought he was loading up for the bay so they are all moping around now realizing that daddy went somewhere fun without them :-(

I have dinner plans with 2 girlfriends tonite at my favorite sushi place and of course still have LOTS of DVDs to preview!:7

Think I'll get in a little cardio this morning as recovery doesnt mean rest... (thanks ALOT Tony!).....

Back later to see you gals when you wake up (and for yesterday personals)- except for Jeanette who's faithfully watching the Tour!

XXOO :7

Good morning,

I'm off to do Muscle Endurance. I'd be much more enthused if I hadn't been awake much of the night.

TraciX - How long are you a vacation-widow for? What are your plans while he's away? Going to have some fun yourself? Yes, CC4 is Sean. Please don't pray for a snowstorm!!! Winter lasts long enough around here! Cathe's put an active recovery week in this rotation, and I'm soooo looking forward to it...next week. Enjoy your yoga!

JeanetteX - Do you think Vino has a chance anymore? That tumble really cost him.

I'm going to do my workout now. Get it over with.

Cheers,
SandraX

Imax 1 - 7 intervals/recoveries completed... TT has 3 different interval times you do each week and this one fits in with one of them... 60 second interval + 90 second recovery... 6-8X .

Cheryl: I CLEARLY saw the costume malfunction! ROFL:D

SandraX: I may have to go get CC4
:-( I CANT AFFORD ANYMORE! Enjoy your Sleepy time ME morning! DH is gone until very late Sunday night.... I am planning on doing alot of work with my marketing gal and my website.

Off to clean up and run endless errands today.... Back later :7

Morning Ladies,

SandraX: Enjoy Muscle Max. You picked a goodie:) Have fun!

TraciX: My fav Imax, nice work. Can I come with you ladies to eat? :) :)

Nicole: My BD Sept 17th Virgo.

Jeanette: thank you, ^^^ 5 wow we, 31 miles nice job:7 :7 How long have you been riding? must take lots of practice to be able to ride that distance.

I slept good last night, all the way though. Yesterday, my sister stopped by which was a pleasant surprise, really nice. I love that gal, we celebrated her BD dinner on Sunday, yesterday was actually her BD. I had just pressed play, about 15 minutes into my workout,

I was like who the heck is knocking at my door, I don’t open my door for unexpected guess. Any way, I wasn’t going to stop my w/o for chatter, she under stood. So we talked, as I did L&G mania, those dog gone leg presses OUCHIE:p :p

I am going to change things up a bit starting today. I plan to hang out with TonyX for awhile, should be fun, huh! I’m putting together a 4 week rotation using his UB workouts, I really need a break from Cathe, I'm sure she'd understand :D

This morning hit me treadie for 70 minutes that extra 10 minutes was toughx( next run moving to 80 minutes. Tonight P90X not sure which still working rotation. Back later.

Good Morning!

Well, hybernation is done. I had a couple of errands yesterday after work that needed to be done (picking up DH's prescription) as well as a fun trip to Academy Sports for #25 BB plates and #35 DBs. I got home about 11a and literally fell into bed and other than a couple of trips to the bathroom, didn't get out of bed until 8 this morning! I guess that's what working 4 nights in a row will get me!

Anyway, today is an HIIT session on my ellptical if I can figure out something to help my heel. Monday afternoon I decided to go for a walk and my right shoe decided that it needed to rip my heel to shreds....THROUGH A BANDAID!!! I now have a huge open blister on my heel that was bleeding Monday. I finished up my 'walk' that evening wearing my Croc flip-flops on the elliptical. It wasn't attractive but got the job done!

Traci- I hope that you enjoy your 'free' time! I know how DH loves his fishing trips!

Need to get some more coffee and clear the "haze" before I work on personals. The next week or so is going to be pretty busy with me. I may not be able to post much, but I will be thinking of you all!!!

Round 1/ Phase 3/ Wk 11/ Day7/ StretchX

Good day to all Xer’s! Yahoo, I’m on my way to a rest week and finishing up. I’m proud and excited to be joining the elite club of lady-xer’s, Tracy, Nicole, Traci, Netta, Amy, Debra, Cheryl, Sandra, Wendy, Laurie, Teddygirl, and surely I missed someone, sorry.

Nicole-Wow! You are just days away from graduation. I can feel your excitement! January rotation huh? I have no idea what is in store for me post P90X. Something Cathe definitely.

Traci-X-Shook my head up and down on your comment – Cardio Kicks is your fave due to the male factor in that one. You are such an inspiring and ambitious exerciser. Go girl!

Jeannette – Super job with the mileage you’re piling on. I’m envious. I was back out yesterday for a quick ride with DD. My legs are super toned from pulling the weight with her attached to my bike up the hills. I love results/ I hate the pain.

Debra- Your DD is so adorable. Mine is turning 6 in August. We are thinking of getting her a small rodent as a pet. I picked up a huge cage at a yard sale for $5. Love all your pics. What activities does your DD like best?

Teddygirl- In your pictures you are so pretty. It’s nice to put a face to the name. Good luck with the PT job hunting. I work PT and it’s great. Though the money not so much. Way to go on the TM workouts.

I gotta run, I’m outta time. DD is pestering for some attention. It’s my day off work. So much to do. Possibly another bike ride today but longer than yesterday’s. Hopefully I’l BBL.

:7

Hi, everyone!

Traci, so glad you enjoyed IMAX and now my day is complete knowing that you fully noticed the wardrobe malfunction  }( :+ Hee hee!
Enjoy that sushi tonight! I think I will have sushi for lunch today.
My weight/bf% has stayed the same this month so far and it's my own darn fault. I do think PMS is at play at the minute, which would explain why I HAD to have a dish of chocolate/peanut butter ice cream for dinner last night x( x( x( I'm reasonably happy with my appearance right now, but would desparately like to shed at least 6-8 final pounds of "fluff" that are sticking to my core/upper back of waist and back of thighs. Not a good addition to my nice new muscles ;-)

Debra, good luck with ME! Sorry you are tired!

Amy, the barbell/dumbell shopping sounds fun!!! I have some more barbell plates I can snitch from stepson who is rarely here... still debating if I want to purchase 30 and 35 lb dumbells... I may wait to see how Cathe uses them in the new series to see.

Wendy - I got my Nike Funky Vibe capris last night from Paiva, and I have to say I love them. The smalls were plenty big, as I think tends to happen with Nikes. Did you buy black or brown, and did you send yours back yet? If you bought brown and they're still there I would gladly buy them from you. I will definitely wear mine to the RT.

This morning my running partner re-scheduled and we had a great 75 min run. I'm finishing up with ARX. Just right. My booty is SORE from yesterday's B&G :) I am also feeling PMS, which would certainly explain the chocolate ice cream last night :+ :p

Have a great morning, everyone!
Cheryl

Recovery Week

KenpoX

KenpoX for the LAST time today! I actually enjoy this workout once I start it. The end is in site:) I really wanted to be in fantastic shape by now but alas, I am afraid I am the same. Maybe if I could lose a few BF %'s I could see the hard work. I think all of the cardio coming up will help with that! My family is coming into town this week. My brother from Sacramento and my grandparents from Arkansas. It's gonna be a busy weekend as we are celebrating my aunts big 80th birthday. I'll just pretend it's a whole bunch of parties for mine:D I hope to post but may not be as long winded as usual:p

Traci-X, Sounds like you will have a fun weekend sans DH:) I bet the pups were so sad to see him go:( Act like your on vacation while DH is gone, you deserve it! Which interval is the costume malfunction on? I must see:) Oh, the things that entertain our sick bunch!LOL:D By the way, how is your MIL? She must be good if DS is going fishing for the week:)

SandraX, ME is a fun workout! I am looking forward to it again:) So you are in cahoots with Jeanette watching the Tour, huh? You're a busy, hard working girl:p Miss you!

JeanetteX, Glad you are still working out with the Tour in full swing:)LOL:p I watch it as well because DH is glued to it. I didn't like it the first year but now that I'm getting to know the riders it's better. The bad part is, a lot of the regulars have been booted for blood doping so just when I thought I knew what was going on, I get cheated out of it:p How's the weather this week? We have been blessed with mid 80's for the past two weeks. It feels much better than the high 90's!

Anointed, I was LOL picturing you chatting with your sis while doing leg presses:D Glad she is an understanding sister:) Way to go on 70 min. I do TM so little that more than 30 feels like an eternity. I think it's the repitition of it. Have fun with Tony for a few wekks. I do like his upper body workouts the best. I'll remember the birthday, it'll be here before you know it. I am the baby of the group. I turn 31 on Monday.

Amy, Glad you lived througha 4-night shift! Ouch, I'm cringing over your heel. 35# DB, you go girl! I thought I was pretty good for needing 25#'s. I guess I'll think twice before thinking highly of myself:pLOL

Swift Amy, So glad you are still on track for graduation soon! I am getting so excited for the end. I get to do my first Cathe workout on my B-Day so I think that's a good enough present on it's own:):D Enjoy your day off with DD. Have a pleasant bike ride as well.

Cheryl. I'm right there with you. TTOM is coming soon and I have been a bear! I get so hungry and cranky. I never had a problem before kids, but now it seems to get worse every month. Maybe it's the stress of kids and working out and never having a break! Oh well, ignore me, I'm just rambling:) Glad your running partner showed and you got some outdoor time. Enjoy the rest of your work week!

WendyX, How is your foot doing? How are you doing? I have had a bit of insomnia the past few nights so your DFIL had been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all is going well and that you can come home soon.

Laurie, Did you enjoy the water park? Hey, we're looking forward to all the pictures including one of you when you return;-) I am going to do the Premix rotation instead and see if the excessive cardio is better for me than the excessive weights. I'll keep you updated.

Debra, How is your head today? Did you get to the chiro? I need to go for a post X adjustment too:) I'm glad DD is able to be spoiled by her grandma now, what a nice change for her. It probably makes the transistion easier. Speaking of which, where are the updated house pics? I am anxious to see how DD bright room turned out and what the gold dining room looks like. Just ignore me, I just love seeing everyones updated pictures so I can be inspired:D

O.k, must wake up the kids and start Kenpo. See you all later,

Nicole

NicoleX: And a lovely 31ish you are. You pictured me right chatting and talking, that exactly how it went, It took me so long to finish I had to take 1 to 2 minutes breaks in-between each exercise, trying to explain to sis the whys:eek: and hows:eek:. My sister wanted to jump right in she scared me trying to lunge I said NO WAIT, her form was bad. I gave her workout attire she did a few stretches and every now and then I’d stop to show her the correct form. I was nice to sis I gave her Beach Body Cardio Party, I didn’t like them anyway to easy for me. I think she’d be pretty good at kickboxing. What are you planning for your BD?:)

Hi gang-
Well this day is moving right along! Got Long & Lean Yoga (baptiste) completed…. WOWZA… 50 minutes that left me DRENCHED… Why did I think Long & Lean meant easy & flow-y??? SILLY ME! Its really VERY good- He does so much instructional stuff in this one that its actually very good for a novice like myself.

DH arrived safely at destination and was putting the boat in the water as he was checking in w/ me!

Dogs still moping around… Guess they’ll get canned food as a special treat tonight and all will be well in their world again!

TeddyGirl: Wouldn’t it be great if we lived close enough to get into trouble together? I bet we’d have a BALL!!! Loved last nights Kodak moments… You are just the cutest! Sorry about having to get a PT job…. I’ve been there- the good part is that it will take off some financial pressure – at least for me that was always the “up-side”.

AMY!!!!: You’re ALIVE!!! So happy you stuck your head out the cave to say hi! We miss you. OUCH on that heel- watch out for infections!!!! YUCKY stuff! YES- Wendells in hog heaven!

Swifty X; CONGRATS on the X status!!! Way to go!!!!! Good for you and Nicole actually DOING the recovery week…. My goodness I think I need to turn in my X! LOL on Cardio Kicks….. With all this talk around here its on the agenda for tomorrow morning! Wanna join me?

Cheryl: AWESOME that all you are striving for is “cushion”… I still think my lower is just gonna be what it wants to be unless I eat like Tosca- Not sure I could EVER do that f/t! ^5 on the half Marathon this morning!!!! LOL

NicoleX: *sniff sniff* Kenpo is put away for good??? OMG! You must be SO VERY SAD!!!! I know what ya mean about the “fabulous shape”… I KNOW its doable but the topic becomes are we willing to pay the price to have it…. I think I am SOMETIMES… But as a lifestyle- nope…. I enjoy food and I enjoy ALL OF IT! That’s OK- as long we think we are beautiful –WHO CARES! Imax 1 1st step/interval segment w/ Rhonda…. I had noticed it before but thought she was forgetting the steps…. Once Cheryl said something FELL OUT! You can see it PLUS she kicks it under the step- looks at Cedie like OH SH*T and you can see it under her step…. It actually starts occurring when you are suppose to be facing AWAY from the TV but I wanted to see it so I just stayed to the front. THANKS for asking about MIL… She is really doing well… back to bingo-church-dominoes & old car club activities.

happy Day to all who follow- !!!!!! Happy FLEXING, STRETCHING, KICKING and JUMPING!

:* :* :* :* :*

Anointed, I'm not doing much this year. Last year was the big 3-0 so DH had asurprise party for me and took me to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for dinner. Such a nice guy:) This year I have Thai food on the list and more workout equipment and DVD's, oh and clothes. I am sick! I need a life outside of my workouts:) Nah, I like it this way:D

Traci-X, Glad MIL is back to her old self and getting out. I think that is what keeps you going when you get older. Innactivity is horrible, as proof by my own grandfather. He is so sedentary that it's killing him quicker then it should. I think I'll smack him around a little when he comes to visit. I'm his favorite so he can take it:)LOL!! Thanks for the heads up on IMAX, I'm going to put it in right now!

TraciX: One of these days, I hope we meet I REALLY do:) :p If ever I'm in Houston (never been) you’ll know. That is to cute about the dogs, I can tell they love you and daddy.

You…Who…WendyX: How is your kitchen coming along? I know you are working and when you are done its going to be a beautiful finish;)

Man oh man, Saturday is fast approaching. I’m giving a dinner for my son's just because and family if they are able to stop by.

I tell you, it was a DAM good thing I cleaned last week. I really need to grocery shop today, BUT.........P90x awaits, will start tomorrow, I have a lot of cooking to do.

Question for you guys, isn’t P90x Shoulders & Arms an overall UB workout? If so that’s the one me doing tonight. My cousin hate it when I say 'me' I can hear her now that’s not proper english, she tickle me:+ like I don't know. I will sign on after me:+ finish me:+ workout. Have a safe and wonderful evening all.

Shoulder and Arms it is :) :) :) :) heck may even get abx in

I had to come back to edit, you said X X X I said X X

That workout is soon......

What time is dinner:)

Good Afternoon Ladies,

It's been heart breaking emotional here. Puts everything in life in a different perspective. FIL's health is declining quickly. He may not last longer than the weekend or till next week. I feel so very blessed to be able to help in any way that I can.

Nicole-X: Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. It really means a lot! :) My foot isn't bothering me as much as it did earlier. By the end of the day, it hurts more. I can't imagine how my foot would be if I was working out!

Cheryl: As soon as I get home, I'd like to watch interval max. Is that the one with the costume malfunction? I bought the black cargo pants in XS. I wasn't willing to buy the brown ones from nike.com for full price. I haven't had a chance to return them yet. Glad you like yours!!!

Traci-X: Thank you for the email!!! I love you too!!!!!!!:* I'd rather be in a cheerful state of mind when I first talk to you!

Jeanette-X: I thought of you the other night when we had the tv turned to the race. I wasn't able to concentrate on what was happening though. Maybe, next year you can coach me through it when I watch. :)

Everyone do an extra kick, lunge, step or downward dog for me!;-)

Gotta run!

Ballistic Hugs!
Wendy

Finally popping on today...It's been crazy around here! Any hoo...I worked out this afternoon instead of logging on which I thought took a lot of self control...and I knew you ladies would understand!!

I did KM warm up and combos 2-4...and then one of the ab sections from CTX...I know...I was supposed to do BM2 abs...twice..but I didn't have time. So I figured some abs were better than none. DD is still enjoying her camp and we have a pool date with one of her new friends tomorrow.

I had my massage today by a large lady named Anna...who rubbed me VERY hard...which I certainly needed! My back is actually a little sore from the rubbing...but my head feels a bit better. She did some funky move with my neck...and it seemed to work. I see her again next week and I am hoping that my headache will dissipate some more after that.

I only have time for one quick personal...

!!!!!!Nicole!!!!!!
You have had a huge change!! Your abs look fantastic! I can see improvement on your arms and back as well. Also...You chest muscles are much more developed...Look at the side pics again...And look up instead of at your tummy. Your upper body is fuller....And looks great, let me add. Way to go! You should be very pleased with your progress over the past few months.

Okay...Gotta go to bed...it is water day at camp tomorrow...So DD has to wear a swimsuit. And then we both have to wear swimsuts for the play/pool date. Oh my!

Debra

Good evening Xers!

Today's workout was Slim Series Tear It Up. Did a 20 minute walk during my lunch too. Got to finish watching the Tour stage this evening so won't have to stay up until midnight like last night. I fell asleep right before the end anyway so what was the point?

Traci, hope your sushi dinner out with friends was really fun. Our dogs know when we start getting the duffle bags out that we are going somewhere. They stick like glue to us then, not wanting to be left behind. Guess I'll have to pull Imax out to check out the costume. I'm glad that Baron yoga agreed with you. I need to get some yoga in, been a long time and I do need to do some stretching.

Sandra, I didn't pay attention to where Vino was after today's stage, but I don't think he'll be in the running. He's just so tough, you never know what can happen! Been such a strange race. Did you enjoy the bicep work in ME? She is evil for that one.

Anointed, I've been riding since around 1999. However, I did a huge bike tour ride in 1977, 2300 miles total, thru 5 states. I was only 19 then. Didn't ride after that, got back into it in 1999. I think doing TonyX for about a month would be just right. Good thinking on your part. Glad you enjoyed your sis's visit.

Amy, your heel sounds awful. I remember back in the 70's, a boyfriend bought me a new pair of hiking boots for my birthday. They were the hard boots then, not the nice soft ones they have now. I remember they rubbed a blister so bad, that it was excruciating to walk in them. I put bandaids and stuff on them, they finally broke in, or rather my heel broke in.

Swifty, you are so close to being done. I think anyone that can do a whole rotation is a tough cookie, mentally and physically. Bet it's fun getting out on the bike with your DD. Your legs must be in great shape. Legs are definitely my problem area, though they are strong, they just don't look as strong as they are (I think). Hope you enjoyed your day off from work.

Cheryl, I'm with you on wanting to lose 6-8 pounds also, so tough at my age it seems. Darn that ice cream. My favorite used to be Tin Roof Sundae. I used to eat it right when I brought it home from the store, still soft on top, boy, you could sure eat a lot of ice cream in a short time. I don't even buy it any more. Glad you had a good run with your friend. I like the company of others while biking too.

Nicole, you look awesome!!! I surely do see a big difference. You look leaner all over. Very healthy looking too, I might add. I agree, so disappointing about the doping in cycling. Has lost a lot of credibility and fans I'm sure. I still admire their strength on the bike. Our weather was in the 60's today! Very overcast and even some sprinkles. Should be in the high 80's for my ride on Saturday. That will be perfect or nearly so for me. Much better than riding those hills in 90-100 degree weather. Hope Kenpo was good for you today. I haven't done that one in a long time. Need to pull it out.

Debra, glad you got the workout in. I'm trying to limit my time on the computer a bit more right now. Glad the massage felt like it helped. Hopefully no more headache!

Got to get to bed now, almost 11 p.m.

Hi Wendy, hugs to you my friend.

Jeanette
