Recovery Week :
Cardio Kicks (Low Impact modifications) + Shiva Yoga of some sort

Man are my arms/back SORE from Long & Lean Yoga yesterday! He does a segment of arm strengthening that is killer! I think he could have used Cathe’s STRONG LIKE A BULL verbiage for the title of this one. At end he says See Ya tomorrow- I said- “Not Likely!”

جWendyX: No words just {{{{{{{{{love & hugs & prayers}}}}}}}}}}}} bless you and your family. You do not have to be Ms Sunshine to call me.

جTeddyGirl:
Does “giving a dinner” mean you are cooking for a ton of people? Do you like doing that? The prep & cleanup must be killer in a family your size! I don’t own enough dinner plates to have your group over! Hope P90X was a BLAST and FRIED our gal!

جLaurieXX:
You must be so very busy these days. Whats the BEST part about vacation? I cant think of the last time I had a real one!

جTracyX: Hope vacation is a blast!

جSandraX:
Hope yesterday was fun with DD’s! Are you doing Cake things every day or just when you have large blocks of time?

جDebraX:
LOL on the decision to w/o vs post…. Actually- I would have voted POST!!! LOL Nice w/o yesterday! I am so impressed that with house still in "coming together" state you are w/o at all! Enjoy lots of pool time!!!! LOL about Anna! Send her my way!!! That story reminded me of yet ANOTHER I love Lucy episode…. I guess that show was far more realistic than I thought as a kid!

جNicoleX:
WOW!!! Look at that BACK!!!! CLEARLY that is where I see you gained the most rewards- I am envious! Did you have a pull up bar? You look leaner over all to me and those cut abs are even MORE so now… ^5! GREAT RESULTS!!! Thanks for sharing…. One thing my MIL has taught me is the power of ACTIVITY in aging. She has lost the 2 loves of her life- my FIL in ’88 and her fiancé in 2005. She has really declined since 2005 even tho she keeps on going. My mom is more like your grandfather. She’d NEVER leave the house if we didn’t stay on her. It contributed to a severe bout with depression /anxiety 2 years ago - so severe we almost had to sell her condo and have her go to nursing home because she didn’t want to move to Texas with me. Scariest time in my life.

جSwiftyX:
Did you do doubles the entire 3 months? I bow to you!!! That was tough for me when I did it a few days here & there. I told myself it was hard because my muscles were trying so hard to grow! HA

جCheryl:
Hope your day is filled with new clients & clean eating! Remember how you and I use to talk about our Diet Rootbeer? Well I had been off of all soft drinks for 6 months or so then made the mistake of trying Diet Pepsi Max…. extra caffeine- OH LORDY- I have 2 glasses every afternoon now! I gotta GET OFF that stuff!

جAmy:
So please refresh my memory on this weeks work schedule…. Are you here- there- or everywhere?

جJeanette X:
Are you doing a full SS rotation these days? The weeks that I do yoga (even 30 minutes a day) for 4+ days I see GREAT improvement in my posture and flexibility and recovery time… It IS so hard to actually fit in yoga for me. I don’t have the mental stamina to w/o 3 hours in one pop yet I sweat alot in Yoga so I don’t like having to take multiple showers in a day either. So many things that “need” to be done for overall health- so little time!

Hope I didn’t miss anyone… Have a great morning all!

Good morning!

On tap in 15 minutes: IMAX3 }( I'm trying to psych myself up for this workout today. I especially dread interval 5, but love interval 7. With this workout, it's all about sticking with it until I get to interval 6, and then I just have a blast. Send me good energy vibes, please. My inner thighs are still flaming from something I did this week, but I don't know what. Probably those plie squats in Power Hour on Monday.

TraciX - Oh, you're doing CK! Have a great time! Baptiste's LL is an excellent yoga workout, then? Shiva does a lot of arm balances that I find nearly impossible. How does she do all that on those spindly arms, I ask? It's probably all about core strength and balancing. Regarding the cake making, right now I'm in the process of making DD#1's b-day cake. Her party is on Sunday. I'm making her a couple of dolphins. Because I don't have time during the day, due to working on this research project, I'm doing bits every evening. Last night I spent 1 1/2 hours adding colour to the fondant. DH is on vacation this week, and looking after the kids while I work. It's going splendidly well. Can't wait to see your website!!

Teddygirl - I've finished a workout in front of unexpected company, too. Glad you got some quality time with both your sister and Cathe!

Amy - OUCH! That heel sounds so painful! Good luck with your upcoming busy week.

Swift Amy - WOOHOO!! That last recovery week can seem like a PITA. Enjoy, and we'll smack an X after your name real soon!

Cheryl - I've been doing IMAX for yeeeeeeeeeears and never saw that wardrobe malfunction. Now I must pop it in and watch. Chocolate/pb ice cream is my absolute favourite. I don't need a pms excuse to pig out on that.

Nicole - Yay! Kenpo is done!! I didn't mind that workout at all, but by the end just wanted more variety. You may be surprised at how much stronger you've gotten from the X. I know when I went back to Cathe, I could feel the benefits of having a stronger core, when I was doing her cardios. ME yesterday was fun. I'm trying to watch the Tour as much as possible. DH is the hardcore fan. Don't you watch it? I seem to recall you saying that you did? You've got a b-day coming up!! Woohoo! Monday is my 14th wedding anniversary. I'll try to take a look at your pics later on today.

WendyX - My heart goes out to you and your family. I'm definitely thinking of you all, and hoping for a peaceful, loving transition for your FIL.

DebraX - Hi! I feel like we've missed each other for the past 3 weeks or so. DD's at camp? Fun!

JeanetteX - Yes, the tour has been strange this year. It's such an open field as to the potential winner. Glad you didn't have to stay up until midnight last night. I think DH was up that late the same night you were. It was supposedly an awesome stage, though. I don't mind the ME bicep work at all. It's all the dang leg presses that give me the big owies. I use 6 risers in that one, just 'cause Cathe does, and they start to bite after a while. Power Hour has such a similar bicep section as ME, yet I don't hear people talk about that one. I don't understand why not?

TracyX - Have you gone on a vacation? You didn't post yesterday. I hope you're having a fabulous time!

Well, if I'm going to get IMAX3 done today, followed by a TBStretching segment, I'd better go. I'm reminding myself that I actually do love this workout, and always feel awesome at the end.

Have a great day!
SandraX

Good Morning!!!

Well, I forgot to report that yesterday was a ME day....I went and got a facial! Oh, it was heavenly! DH wants to go to a movie today since his doctor's appt was cancelled. We will probably see Transformers, more than likely!

Anyway, it was also an HIIT session that was a little hairy, in the beginning, but settled out and felt great! Today is a lower body day with my new #25 BB plates!

Traci- LOL at me schedule! I'm here today, and tomorrow I will be 'there'! ;-) I am actually going to be in class all day Friday and Saturday, then at work Sunday and Monday! I will very thankful when this next week is over...oh and I'm also thankful for the Diet Pepsi Max! I like that stuff, but have to limit myself to one bottle a day and only at work!!!

Wendy- LOTS and LOTS of hugs to you and your family! I have been thinking about you a lot lately and have been praying for you!

Sandra- Good luck with the cake! My mother taught me cake decorating (not officially, but I picked it up!) and it's fun for a while, but then your hands get tired of squeezing! I hope that dolphin comes out awesome!

Nicole- WOW, you look great!!! The changes are really noticeable!

Cheryl- The countdown is happening! I am getting excited!

Everyone else- Lots of hugs!

Oh, my heel is feeling much better. It's definitely not as tender anymore and I think that I will be able to get a decent workout in today.

IMAX3 is done! And as usual, it wasn't nearly as grueling as I had built it up in my mind. It flies by at the speed of light. I was half way through Blast #2 before I even noticed we were there already. And yes, I feel awesome. TBStretching will have to wait until later in the day, as I'm outta time.

Amy - Glad your heel is feeling better. Injuries are so annoying. The problem I have with buying heavy weights is in getting them into the car and then into the house! With 25lb bb plates you probably have to carry them one at a time (if you're me; but maybe you can carry all 50lbs at once, 'cause you're SuperAmy!).

Have a great day,
SandraX

Hello ladies!! Hope you are all doing well today. DD is at her last day of camp this week and it is water day, so they got to wear swimsuits under their clothes since they will be playing in water all day. She was so excited about it! And there is this mom who is very cute and has her daughter dressed beautifully every day with a huge bow in her hair....well, she comes in today with homemade cookies...the ones you cut out and ice yourself. She even made her own icing. That is WAY too domestic for me!!! I am simply not that creative. I am just happy to get DD fed a decent dinner at night! I hope I am not the only mom at the new school who doesn't do all of that kind of stuff!

I am supposed to do a BG premix today...but I am feeling a little sore from my massage yesterday, so I may end up doing yoga instead. We'll see what I am in the mood for when I head upstairs to workout.

Personals............

Nicole...Read my post from last night that was dedicated to you!

Wendy...Sending lots of love and hugs to you and your family. I think you guys are lucky to be able to spend time with your FIL now. I have always been thankful that I was with my dad when he died. I think my half siblings missed their chance to say good bye. So, though this is hard...you will all be glad for this time. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Amy...Glad you enjoyed your facial. Have fun at the movies with your DH. Are you doing the CPR class this week?

Sandra....Hi there!! We do keep missing each other! LOL about Shiva's spindly arms!! It sounds like you are having a busy summer with your girls. I am sure you are one of those moms who takes homemade cookies for everyone! Imax3 is a killer for sure. Hope all goes well with it today. I am sending all of my energy vibes up to Canada.

Traci...Missing DH yet? Not! It's nice to get a break once in a while, isn't it? Did you meet with your marketing person yesterday? How are things going with all of that? Have fun with Cathe and Shiva today. I noticed when I did KM yesterday that I seemed to have some muscle memory from Kenpo. I didn't have to concentrate as hard to make the punches work. And I had my abs tight through the whole thing...Just out of habit. I wish more instructors did kickboxing like Tony. How was the sushi? I still have to find a sushi place here.

Teddygirl...LOL about finishing your workout while sis watched...I guess that's what she gets for coming over unannounced!

Tracy...Hope you are having a wonderful vacation!

Jeanette...Glad you are enjoying watching the tour. I haven't been able to ride since we got moved..but there is a bike route that goes in front of our neighborhood. I see bikers out there all the time! I don't know if DD is ding English or Western...I think English...at least that is what it looked like from the pics. We'll see next week. She is really excited!

Swifty....WooHoo!! Almost done!!!! Way to go!! Thanks for the compliments on DD...we kind of like her! I love this age. 6 is great...they can entertain themselves and get their own snacks, but still like cuddle time. My DD is into ballet, tap and she wants to start cheer leading. She is also starting horseback riding...we'll see how that goes. She tried soccer, but she said that she had to run too much...LOL...kind of like her mom in that regard. What kind of rodent are you thinking of? We have a dog and a cat...which is more than enough!

Cheryl...Hope all is well with you...and that the darn choc/pb ice cream cravings were held at bay! Good for you in doing such a long run. I am just not a runner...I have tried and I really just don't enjoy it. It is like torture for me. I am always admiring of people who can do it.

Laurie...Hope you are well and still glowing from your volley ball win. And hope your injury is healing with the speed of lightning! When does sweet Jada come to stay for good?

Okay...I think I am caught up! Hope everyone has a great day. I have to shave all of my parts before heading to the pool this afternoon...I may not bake cookies, but I can shave my armpits!!

^ 5 to ALL who have checked off WORK OUT!!
I LOVED Cardio Kicks today- Did warm up then went into the Power Drills so I could REALLY give it my all- then back and did the Cardio kick/Punch segment... This worked BEAUTIFULLY for me as my main focus is ALWAYS the Power aspect of Kick vs cardio aspect. By switching it up I was able to do all the cardio segment without modifications... WOOHOO!!!!!!! }(

While I sweaty decided to get back lawn mowed before 70% chance of afternoon storms startx(

Gotta shower and eat then I shall return for those personals....

DEBRAX: LOLOLOL- you remind me of The New Adventures of Old Christine! LOVE YOU GIRL!

Recovery Week

StretchX(the most boring workout in the world)

Hi all,

Just wanted to pop in real quick before StretchX. I hate this workout! I have only done it two other times because I rest on Sundays and don't do anything. My grandparents come in today so it's off to breakfats after my "workout":)

Traci-X, Thanks so much for the compliments. It's funny, I don't see a change until I see the picture comparison. Then I think, oh, maybe it is a little better:) I did not have a bar but I have the heavy blue bands. I think they worked just fine. My lats are hard as rocks, can't say the same for my belly:p I have been wanting to get Long & Lean for a while, is it worth it? Glad you stay on top of your MIL. My grandma is the same. She would sit around all day if her friends didn't coax her up. Are you enjoying your alone time? How was your girls night out?

Jeanette, I think I heard Vino's name a bit more this morning. That's a good thing, right? The weather sounds great! With rain comes humidity so have fun with that. We're supposed to have monssonal moisture next week. Oh boy, I just love that, not:) Enjoy the hill climb. 90's are not my ideal outdoor weather. I prefer 70's:D Kenpo is a great workout! I really feel it in the nuns if I focus.

SandraX, Oooh, IMAX 3! Glad you had fun with that. I always dread it until I start too. Glad your DH is watching the girls. It's always good for them to get a taste of what a mom does all day:) Yes, I do watch the Tour because DH is a big fan. I used to know what was going on but all the faves were thrown out last year. Maybe they'll be back next year. I don't remember how long they have to be out for blood doping.

Amy, A facial and a movie! Aren't you lucky:) My family has senn Transformers and all said it was great, good choice! Good job working it with a injured foot! You must be enjoying your days off a little more this week:) Thanks for the compliments, you're too kind. I hope more cardio this month really makes my muscle pop!

Debra, Thanks for the post just for me! I felt so special:) Thanks fr the comments too. I do have a tendency to only look at the changes in my stomach so good call there:) I do see my chest is bigger. I think it's the lats. I told DH it was my expanded lats that made my waist look smaller:)LOL! He thinks I'm crazy. Glad DD is making friends and enjoying camp. Don't you know you're in the South? You better start honing your baking skills!LOL!

Be back for the rest later, I'm so out of time!!!

Good morning all,

No workout last night. I ended up shopping. I got home put on me w/o clothes decided to wash a load all prepared to workout. Then, my sister phoned and asked if I had remember to pick up the Sirloin Roast for Saturday's dinner, Nope so I ran out too G. Eagle so I wouldn’t miss out on buy one get one free, good thing because new sale started today. Then I got back home finished the washing and drying and folding from there it was all up hill more cleaning got a lot done

I have this gorgeous curio, who ever designed it did not do a good job. It takes me at least 30 minutes or longer to clean itx( After I finally finished, one thing led to another. I finally settled down around 9:30.

Shopping again tonight, for collard greens am going to be picking and cleaning about 10 bushels this evening x( well that really depends on how big or how small the bundle are.

I was sleeping like a newborn last night. Workout this morning, I did abs and hour jog. Tonight, after I finish shopping going to do my own thing as far as UB in-between picking greens:eek: My rotation for the week always starts on Saturday. Therefore, I will start P90x UB. If I stick with my plans, all that will be left for me to do Saturday is the Mac & Cheese and corn bread. I won’t be wiped out at this pace.

TraciX: Heck NO I HATE cooking but every now and then I break down and do a little something. This may sound a little harsh, but not family members are invited only Daphane and Carolyn. This dinner is for my sons. Family did our thing on July 4th x( :7

NicoleX: Ooh we, AWESOME results ;) you have the most pretties smile, bet you hear that a lot, you do look much toner and leaner, nice work ^5..^5

NicoleX, answer me pleases, what does TracieX have too be envious about, with that body of hers. Okay wont go there:p Thank you, for posting pictures you truely inspired me. LOOK OUT P90 HERE I COME;)

Put me in the "workout done" column! I put my new BB plates to awesome use.....did regular deadlifts 100x10x3! New record for me! Oh, and I've lost 3.4 lbs this week and almost another 2 inches in the body!! This new eating/workout plan feels like it was MADE for me!!!

Yes, this week is the CPR class as well as the Advance Cardiac Life Support class. I really don't need to take the whole 2 day class, but heck, it will be a good review and I'll get paid for it! I will even get to attend a pool party Saturday night that a friend is throwing at their new digs. I am still wondering if I'll have enough guts to go with a bathing suit on!!!:p

I, too, am done with my workout today. BG...kind of made my own premix...all standing work plus a few floor exercises. Let me just say...OUCH!!!! I hope DD doesn't fall in the deep end of the pool this afternoon, as I don't think I would be able to move fast enough to save her! Hopefully Becky-homecky will be there to save her all without getting her cookies wet! I will definitely be working my tragic hips tomorrow with Eion.

Amy...At least you get paid to go to class! And I am sure that with your new weight loss plus disappearing inches that you will look great in a suit!

Nicole...It's definitely your lats...but I think your pecs too...chest seems more "lifted"...if I can say that without sounding gross! I always hated StretchX too...I hurt myself the first time I did it...and got bored to tears the second time...so that was it for me!

Teddygirl...Those darn curios are always a pain to clean! Sounds like you guys are going to do some good eating this weekend...Do you think your family would notice if a little white woman joined in?! Maybe you could say I am a long lost cousin...LOL!

Traci...You know I have never watched that show...I don't know why, because I LOVE Julia Louis-Dreyfus....I used to call her character of Elaine my "muse"...LOL I am sure you are drenched in sweat as I type this. Grass mowing is not one of my activities....That's what yard guys are for!

Okay...gotta go shave....so that I can make nice with the debutantes!

Amy: ^^5 you are doing so great :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) nice!!

TraciX: You surprised me with your workout today, nice job:) :)

DebraX: Are you getting a tattoo? DEb, COME ON...COME ON DOWN :+ :D I’d love to have you over anytime anyday.

Be Back later. You guys have a wonderful:) wonderful :) evening.

Anointed, Thanks for the kind remarks:) I agree that Miss Traci looks awesome from all of her hard work! Have fun with the X! Make sure to take before and after pics for yourself if anything because you'll forget the changes if you don't see them on film.

Amy, ^5, way to go! 3.4 lbs. is awesome! You are kicking butt on those strength workouts. 100# deadlifts? Where do you muster up that strength?:D You work your butt off, wear a bathing suit and show it off:p

Debra, You make me LOL!! If I lived there I would bake stuff for you and you could pretend it was yours;-) And hey, thry spend all there time baking and you spend yours getting fit so who's the winner in the end? Just a thought:eek: I am so glad StretchX is done for the final time. Just CS and YogaX left and I'm done!!! Cathe here I come:7

Hi...back from the pool...Luckily DD didn't fall in the deep end...a bonus for me! And let me just say that my tattoo was definitely noted and a topic of conversation!

Teddygirl...You never know some little white woman may show up at your doorstep! And I got a tattoo in January for my 40th birthday. Although I am thinking I want to get another...so maybe...

Nicole...It's not that I can't bake..I just don't like too! Too much measuring! I like to make things where it doesn't really matter the amount of anything that you throw in. Also with just DD and me here it always seems that when I bake something we end up with lots of it! I bake cookies at Christmas...I'll be sure to send you all some then. WooHoo....Cathe is just around the corner...Have you decided on a specific rotation...Did you mention the premix one too?

Okay..I'm of to sit on my buttocks for a while and watch the food network. Then I guess I'll unpack some more boxes...Ugghh!!!

Debra, You are too funny:) I'm glad you an bake:p I love baking for other people so I don't eat it. Baking for snacks to have around the house is not my forte:7 I love giving food away. I can't say my DH feels the same. He would be huge if I kept that stuff around. My chocolate chip cookies are his weakness:9 Gald your tatoo could spark so much conversation. You'll now be known as you know, "the mom with the tatoo"!LOL! Glad to hear DD didn't drown:)

Hi, everyone!

It's been a day... I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts -
I will be trying to get a workout in tonight, but may not make it. Business meetings started early today - 7:30 a.m. - and I found out late in the day my oldest son (married) had a terrible bike accident on his way to work this morning.

He has 8 stitches in his lip and is losing 3 teeth. Poor thing! I will need to take him to the dental clinic tomorrow morning for two root canals and an implant. Aaargh.

More tomorrow.
Have a great night, everyone!

Cheryl

Cheryl, Glad to see you pop in! At least tomorrow is Friday, right? Hope your DS will come through dental surgery o.k. tomorrow. What a drag for him:( Let us know how it goes.

LaurieXX, Having fun on vacation still?

TracyX, Hope your vacation is going well. Clean-eating and sightseeing galore I'm sure:D

See you ladies tomorrow,

Nicole

Hi everyone,
Workout today was Christi Taylor's Core Conditioning. I liked it a lot. Tonite was an easy spin into town for the bike club meeting and back. My legs have been fatigued ever since last Sunday's hill climb so will rest them tomorrow. Think I will do a stretch or yoga as my workout, nothing taxing for my legs as I have my organized bike ride on Saturday.

Hi Traci, LOL: re: Baron saying he'd see you tomorrow! That tough, huh? I think I'm definitely ready for some good stretching or yoga tomorrow. Have you been doing any work on your website? Hope the time away from your DH is doing things you want/need to do. Come to think of it, I sure wish my DH would leave for a little trip away LOL. It's been a while since I've gotten to be really leisurely about spending time on the computer. I've been doing some Slim Series/Jari Love lately, but will probably switch up to some Cathe workouts soon. May do the premix rotation. Bet it feels good having that lawn mowed. Did you beat the thunderstorms?

Sandra, hope Imax3 is fun for you. I think the bicep work in Supersets or Push/Pull (can't remember which) are tough too. Vino was great in today's stage, loved it when he attacked the peleton near the end. He's just so gutsy and tries his heart out. That's why I was rooting for him. Hope his knee is okay.

Amy, the facial sounds absolutely WONDERFUL! Was the movie good too? I used to drink a lot of diet soda but found out it really stained my teeth more than coffee so I don't drink it all any more. Had no problem giving it up. Now coffee's another story. So glad to hear the heel is better today. Go ahead and put that suit on, bet you look great in it!

Debra, cookies are definitely one of my downfalls. I love to bake, but never do anymore, unless there is a potluck at work or a family gathering. I can easily walk away from donuts, but cookies... I loved English riding. Did it for years and years and years. Keep me posted on your DD's lesson. Enjoy the pool today. Enjoy the upcoming dinner at Anointed's place! Her food sounds great! I love cornbread too. What is your tattoo of? I love the Food Network too.

Anointed, are you still on vacation? My oh my you have a lot of cooking to do. I rarely cook anymore, DH is pretty easy and can fend for himself and eats lightly in the evening. I do make his lunch each day so don't feel too guilty. Thank God he's not one of those traditional old fashioned types that wants dinner on the table at a certain time, or even at all. I'm fortunate that way.

Nicole, you did hear Vino's name this morning. He launched an attack at the peleton near the end of today's stage. Didn't work, but it was nice to see him put on the power. I cheered for him anyway. Sorry you don't like StretchX. Think I will do Cool It Off tomorrow. I like that one from the Slim Series.

Cheryl, sorry to hear about your son's biking accident. When i was in the 4th grade, I fell on my bike and landed right on my front teeth and I had braces on too. My lip got smashed into my braces and couldn't be removed, except by an emergency dentist. It cracked a tooth and I had to have a root canal. Very traumatic then. Hope your DS heals up quickly.

Got to go now, early to bed tonite I hope,

Jeanette
