MIL came thru angio with flying colors and we got her back home around 3pm… Its all so exhausting isn’t it? I think we all crashed once she was OK and yet so much to still get done for the day. Her daughter is staying at least 1-2 days – if she has to return home I’ll go do a second day as she can’t drive or lift for 72 hours. Thank you all for your good vibes, thoughts & prayers.

DH got a wild hair to mow front lawn last night so I did B&G standing…. I think we were both trying to release the days adrenaline rush.
I’m feeling the love today for a little Drill Max and Yoga… Hopefully I can whip DM out before too long and plan Yoga for the afternoon. That will take care of my cardio & lower in one pop… Not feeling the energy to hoist BB today.

Is he sad he didn’t finish it as well? ROFL on your food celebration! You crack me up!!!! As challenging as Phase 3 is I do believe that the first time around it’s a critical component of the program. Mentally & physically. I would do another 90 days if I had more Tony structured workouts to choose from. I don’t know if that would defeat the purpose but I am eagerly waiting to see if his new “hell series” :D :D :D supplementals will be given to us to use as part of our next X rotation. YEP- I’d do that in a heart beat!
I think WE ALL learned with X just how critical the eating component is for true success. I started X and was a SAINT with eating 95% of the program… even with Thanksgiving, Xmas , NY’s ….. That was a HUGE ah-ha.

This cycle sync is bizarre isn’t it? Well at least we are past the July hurdle and can now ge back to business!! My target BF% is 16 and I am Waaaay above that right now. I am close to 23% again. I was at 18% after finishing X round 1 and just slowly creeping up since our January finish. I agree that my AFPA pics make me look lean… I cant explain it as the caliper says different. My size 6 jeans were actually hanging off of me yesterday (hadn’t had them on in 2 months…..) I really am stumped…. Maybe its just carb/fiber bloat as I have increased my veggies a lot the past 2 weeks…. Who knows…*scratching x( head* Enough about me….
WONDERFUL CC run! I agree 1000% about SS run vs Sean… I just cant help myself…. My ipod seems to magically change to his tracks once I hit the great outdoors! Your weekend workouts were killer! I don’t think you are over reacting to home situation at all if that’s any consulation…. All it takes is 1 provocative pic to ruin a girls reputation. I know that if I had the same type of access in my early days I probably would have made some deciosions that I would have regretted. Good kids like Nadia view it as all just harmless dressup- what they don’t realize is that there are many many kids & adults who are FAR from harmless. Theres BIG BUCKS to teens in the online porn world and I shudder when I hear the stories about kids that get sucked in. You stand firm my dear… SOMEONE has to play parent! So whats it like mentally doing the elliptical? Are you watching TV- listening to music??? Machines are just so darn boring for me… Your generic rotation is printed & on my bulletin board… It looks GREAT and I agree that I am excited about Barone baptiste new stuff coming at end of month. I am going to actually do 4 weeks of upper total body vs splits. I have never really committed to that and I think it could be a good shock for me body. Its going to take some mental discipline but if I can stay focused on bigger picture I think I’ll be good for a few weeks. On my cardio increases. I am doing 2 days on / 1 off … I don’t think I could bring myself to do 5 straight again… I am also finding I REALLY need to spend more time on setting up my office & files & growing my business so I am limited on time… Gosh I think I actually have a LIFE now! Lol…. I thought you were off work as of today… Got the dates wrong… Thursdays just around the corner! :D :D :7

Just 5 little days and you are there! How fun this week is turning out to be! I know a lot about bad food and bonking! Sometimes I wonder which lifestyle I want more! If bad food didn’t create such hormone havoc I doubt I’d choose healthy living! }( Isnt that TERRIBLE? I agree that late night is a double edged sword for “talks”… When exactly are we suppose to communicate? DH sometimes gets mad at me and says the work all day come home to____ *speech…* I always just ask him WHEN exactly he’d like to play married? Will he give up his fishing weekends? Hi all,

Today is upper body and yoga. I am thinking maybe C&W upper only and the HSC, upper only. Maybe some extra push ups and a few assisted pull ups. I'm still nursing my right forearm a little.

Traci- Yes the eliptical is boring and I watched Oprah. It was actually interesting. She had this guy on there that helps people get rid of their clutter. He claims that clutter and disorganization are similar to obesity in that there is an underlying reason why people have to hold on to so much stuff. It was quite interesting and I have to agree that I think many Americans are consumed with having more and that more is better.

Tracie: nice work! Seem to me your body responds the best with weigh work, you lose lots of muscle doing cardio, stick to what works best for you. I wouldn’t sweat it if BF is up could be numerous reasons why, right if your 6’s are falling off you that’s should tell you something good has happened, right? See, me I’m not in that deep don’t care what my body fat is I look at outward appearances and how my clothes fit. If I was into body building or a model(yeah right) then yes I’d pay very close attention to my BF, but since I’m a grand mom, lol ;) you get my point.... However, keep up the excellent work :) :)

Tracy: I would love to see your pictures? I bet you have a body to die for :D :D I’m sure you'd like to see my pictures too, don't take good pictures I run from any camera, my brothers was trying to take my pictures, wouldn't let em x( x( Enjoy your workout

Hi,

OK since a couple of you have asked, and I don't have a picture posted, I'm 5'3", sandy brown hair, shoulder length, fake highlights, about 110, but it could be as high as 115, I don't do the scale, and size 0, or 1 jr, or XS. I'll try to get a picture posted once I'm off of work.

Traci - I agree with Annointed, weight work might work better for you. I had great results, unitentional, from doing upper total, about 3x per week when my back was really bad, and almost no cardio. There has to be a balance in there somewhere. If your BF was lowest after the X, then maybe heavier weight work was the answer. Who knows? I just know that you can't stick with the same thing forever, and my goal is to be fit, not skinny. I can just not eat and be skinny. I'm working an extra week and coming back a week later. We had to change our vacation plans.

Annointed - Of course I run from the camera. It's just been in the past few years that I've realized that there are very few pictures of me and the family, so I am allowing a few now. I have one from 2 Xmases ago that I want to put on my avatar, but I haven't had time to mess with that.

WENDY********Congratulations!!! You are officially WendyX now!! Although, don't be hurt if I don't put the X behind your name...I never remember to do that! I am sure that you deserve a new bike with your completion of the X!! Way to go!!!!!

Traci...So glad MIL did well and with minimal upset to her and the rest of the family! No way am I standing around today..I still have lots of boxes to unpack..and I have to get DD and me ready to go to NYC. I will actually be glad to get from NY so that I can kind of get into a routine, which has been sorely missing in my life lately! Which calipers are you using to test BF? How many readings are you taking when you measure? I know with mine I take 5 or so readings before I decide which is probably closet to right. I think you have to have a master's to use those things right! I would think that if your clothes are loose that you BF probably isn't as high as you think. Have fun with DM today.

Tracy...What did you do to your forearm? I hope it's okay. That is my only concern with the elliptical...the boredom factor. I may end up getting a trainer to use with my bike instead. I just can't make a decision. Although the weather here is nicer longer..which will be a nice change form the other places I have lived.

I am not sure what kind of workout I will do today. I really need to work out in the flower beds. We'll see how I am feeling later. I definitely have DOMS from the abs yesterday...not as many in my upper body as I thought. I am sure I could have gone heavier with weights. But I didn't want to injure myself by doing too much too soon. I can ease back into heavy weights when I get back from NY. Okay...gotta go for now. Hi to all who follow...I'll bbl to check in with you guys.

Traci- I am so glad that MIL did great through the angio! I know that's a load off of DH's mind as well as your own. I am also glat that someone else stepped up to the plate to help out!!!

Cheryl- I am sorry that you are having such a rough time with SD!! I know that it's hard, especially when DH isn't seeing the big picture and the potential for disaster! I am glad that the "discussion" went well! I can't wait to see you in a few weeks, roomie!!!

Yesterday was another sleep-a-thon! I think that I was awake for about 2 hrs last night....just long enough to get something to eat and let it settle before heading back to bed! DH has an ENT appt this morning that I'm letting him go to by himself. I need to get some stuff done around the house. I also have an upper body workout planned.

I tried to order some of the super cute Nike pants, but they only have XS and S for the sizes and I think that I could *probably* get the S part-way up my left leg! LOL!!! I did find some other cute cargo/capri pants on Paiva.com, but I forgot to get my wallet out of the truck before DH took it to his appt, so I don't have any way to order them!x(

Okay, off to sweep and vaccuum the floors x( then a workout! BBL!!!

Debra: I have broken plenty of cameras. Every time I take a pic I swear I’m all teeth, x( ;) I have big bunny teeth, lol lol going to just keep running. Seriously tho, I agree my workout this morning was very productive, just trying to get back in the swing of things.

Confession, my fat skirt I’m wearing today, is to %$^^ tight, wait…I’m not complaining one bit I did it to myself. While on vacation me and my sis ate fast foods just about every day and for the 4th of course I over did it. Its’ all good, (I think) lol I tell ya WON'T go near a scale till end of this month.

Debra - I'd get the eliptical before I'd get a trainer. We have both and the trainer is just as boring. The eliptical produces a workout that you can't get elsewhere; I think it is just good cross training. I strained my forearm doing pullups and then I think improper form on the yoga may be irritating some arthritis in my right wrist from a break several years ago. It's no fun getting old, but it is getting better.

Amy - I could never get my life straight if I worked your hours. I have to check out that Paiva website. When I went to look for shorts the other day, there was hardly a xs left and very few smalls.

Morning Ladies,

Rotation: Cathe's July 07
Workout: Wk1/Day 2/BM2 Upper Body Weights, Yoga (forgot to add in volleyball)

Well yesterday I got home and put in the BM2 DVD. Decided my feet didn't hurt as bad as they did in the morning. So I did BM2 Timesaver Cardio Premix. :D It was a little funny until I started to remember the steps that I needed to do. Overall a great time was had, and it felt great to workout with Cathe again. :) Along with that I did a 20 min. Yoga with Sara Ivanhoe. This was a good way to end the workout with a nice long stretch.

Wendy, ^^^^5 to you for finishing the X. Love your celebration of the X. Yup, the eating is very important, the first month I did great, second BAD. When the last 5 weeks rolled around I was making up for that BAD month. DH hasn't downloaded the pictures from the camera. With all that he has had to deal with these last few weeks, I haven't wanted to ask about pictures. :D We are on vacation next week so hopefully I will be able to post some pictures. Besides that our camera needs to be charged. Batteries are DEAD!

Traci, So glad to hear your MIL is doing good. It was fun to write something else for a change. And I actually have to look at the rotation to see what I need to do next. :D I had the X down pat, and could recite it in my sleep.

Nicole, I am also adding Yoga into the workout. Great minds think alike. :)

Oh boy, PlyoX for the last time:):) The boys are eating and then I'm off to sweat forthe last time with Plyo. It is cooling off abit here today but we are expecting dry thunderstorms and with it being so dry, that is not good at all. I hope no fires spark up. I'll have to wait two weeks before I can pre-order the DVD's. I hope they are still available for pre-sale then.


CONGRATULATIONS WENDY!!!!!! Way to finish! I'll be anxious to hear about your next rotation. You pulled through with flying colors and such determination. I'm glad you learned you could lift more and hope you can take it with you to the next roattion. My dad is doing o.k. He still doesn't have medical insurance so he limps around on that hip pretty bad. I hope he gets in soon because I worry about him. He is leaving today for his first vacation in 25 years. The man does not take a day off ever.


Traci-X, So glad all went well with your MIL's surgery! I'm glad you and DH got things accomplished with all the pent up anxiety. Yes, we were quite a chatty bunch last night. I was glad to have a couple of gals for company. I hate not getting in here early enough to be part of the group. My DH and I didn't finish our talk until 12:30 so the next day in church he was quite amusing. I had to hold him up so nobody would notice he was out cold:)

TracyX, Yeah, pictures! I'm glad I had the right picture in my mind:) I can't wait to see! You are so involved with fitness and healthy living. You are quite an inspiration:)

It's been a busy morning!!! And, the day isn't over yet.

Thanks for the congrats! I was feeling all warm, cozy, happy last night when thinking about our cult, I mean, check-in. ;-) Ah, it feels good and scary to chose today's workout. I think I'm going to go stare at my workouts, have dc spin me around in a circle, and pick with my eyes closed.:7 :7 More likely, I'll pick a Cathe dvd that appeals to my mood of the day. This week is going to be just play with Cathe without a goal week. :7 Then again, that might not happen. In the back of my mind, I don't want to do anything that will cause anymore additional water weight yet.

Traci-X: Glad your MIL is recovering so well!!! Praying everything continues as smoothly. The waiting during surgery has got to be one of the longest waits ever! What is in them that can keep surgeons going for so long. They must not have ADD like us!:7 ;-) Phil's proud of me, but he's a wee bit envious of my grad status! He started giving me congrats a week before I was finished!:7 I'm hoping the hell series are intended to use as subs for the X! It would be just what I need when I do another round with dh!!

Tracy-X: I need a declutter guy to help me! Actually, I've been pretty good at getting rid of stuff this summer. If it were up to Phil, 90% of our books would reside at the Goodwill! I just need to organize what's left. As soon as Phil's finished with the countertops, I can start putting kitchen paraphernalia away. It's funny how one disorganized room in the house can affect the organization of the entire house. There are boxes of kitchen stuff in almost every room of this house except the kitchen! At least you can watch tv while on the elliptical. My TM is so loud, I just look out the window and count down the seconds!!! LOL on the fake highlights!!! I have those too! You MUST have a body to die for! Over the weekend, I tried on a pair of size 0 Bermuda shorts. I couldn't get the waist over ONE thigh!!! But, I tried on a different brand that fit well except for my saddlebags. I ended up getting a pair of size 0 and size 1 shorts cheap on clearance. The size 0 shorts are TIGHT. But, I liked the $13.00 price, fabric, style and cut. I'm hoping I can shed some of this water weight and fit into them before it gets too cold.

Teddygirl: Wow on yesterday's workout! Those aren't my grandma's routines!!!!!! It is inspiring to see that you're still keeping yourself strong and fit during this season of your life. Makes me believe that I can too!:D

Debra-X!!! That's okay if you don't call me by WendyX. I've grown used to using the X tag when back in the early days, Traci-X gave me standards and procedures for posting.:7 I'm half afraid to get back on a bike if this is what happens to my body! Good thing, I enjoy it too much to stop! Hope you got a flower workout in today! I was so sad to see that Penn State didn't have their flower garden this year. Maybe they moved it to a different area. That used to be my birthday tradition to walk there. I'll just have to visit Longwood Gardens this year.

Amy: It seems that I have the opposite problem when I go shopping. Usually, I find the XS are sold out while there's TONS of XXXXL on the rack. I get all hostile and think mean thoughts when I see tons of cute XXXXXXL workout clothes on clearance and FUGLY XS leftovers on the rack. Hopefully, the S will work for you! Glad you were able to catch up on your sleep.

Sandra-X: You are such a good mother. We're not doing the library offerings this summer. Instead, I bought a ton of books from the Goodwill for summer reading. Once they are finished reading those, I promised Phil that they'd go back. Much cheaper than overdue fines! LOL

Happy afternoon gang!
Spent all morning setting up my office/workout area…. Trying to de-clutter enough for 4 separate lives in one space isn’t easy…. Household bookkeeping, business bookkeeping, business books & paperwork and client files + my workout stuff…. It all fits and filled 2 large trash bags to boot! like WendyX I had to give up a TON of old books... My car is loaded and ready for goodwill drop tomorrow.

DrillMax completed… I found it interesting doing DM the day after B&G- with exception of B&G Floor I find DM to be all inclusive. I just hadn’t done the new series enough to realize that before. I see myself using B&G floor only and DM for my Leg/Butt days.

Your upper today sounds like fun... I am going to use Slim Series for a few weeks doing only the upper... It should be like a true Weight Circuit by ff'ing thru the lower. In Slim Series ever tape but 1 is a full body.... Hopefully that forearm just needs a little rest. Thanks for sharing your face /body with us! We are all so funny about what we picture... I am absolutely positive that those hi-lights look like you were born with them:D Theres no doubt my body like weight work better... Typical X rotation is magic for me BUT I havent changed my format much at all since X (Nov 06) so its time for a change. 8 weeks might just do me a world of good with lighter lifting. The way I look at it- if I dont try I will never know. I have apparently reached a plateau.

Library day eh? Is there a group reading for the girls or do you guys go and pick out books? LOL on the BF% Oh my NO those competitors are single digits... max 11%!!! I liked my body at 18% pretty much but want to see what I look like at 16%- it might be too low for 44 (& wrinkles) but I can always stop at 17% :7 I gotta go thru 17-22 FIRST! BF is obviously easy enough for me to put on !

Wendy - I wouldn't hesitate to get back on that bike. You just have to mentally be prepared for a few days of water retention, then boom, it's gone. Cycling does great things for the legs. Have fun with your workout today. I was so happy to get back to my Cathe's, although I must admit, I did a modified doubles, so I never totally left them. Decluttering, yes I need a little, but it could be much worse. We did an addition not too long ago and a lot of stuff went into the trash. I'm not much of a "thing" person, so that keeps the clutter down to a minimum. The guy yesterday said to take everything out of your kitchen drawers, and if you don't use it within the next month, throw it away. I just can't do that. I have some stuff that I do use, once in a blue moon. He also said that you cannot maintain your weight if your kitchen is a mess. I'm not sure I believe everything he said, but he did have some interesting ideas to ponder.

Nicole - Last time for Plyo X. Can you believe that workout actually sounds appealing to me now? Not ARX though, boring......

Hello! I got into reading all your posts and then I get brain freeze. Because I’m not posting everyday – I know you all will accept me, Right? At least I’m sticking with the rotation per Tony.

WendyX – Super way to go! Bee Bop. I’m so excited and proud for you Congratulations! Loved reading your thoughts on the X.

LaurieX- Also congrats from last week. Sorry I missed your graduation on it’s appropriate day. Glad your back down on earth.

Debra – I can see you “working out” in the flower beds right now. LOL Have a super time in NYC. I was there once years ago and enjoyed it although I was super paranoid about being mugged.

Amy-High five to you on the cleaning and working out. Wow! It’s tough for me to do anything after cleaning.

SandraX – BodyMax is a favorite of mine. I will look forward to looking at it again once P90X is through. I’m not sure what I’ll be into the 2 weeks between graduating and the RT. Have fun at the library and park!

Nicole – You could not have said it better regarding bad food and bonking. I just cannot seem to get over my stretch of bad food choices. I know it is from stress on my end. Also, DH and I had a talk Mon. AM re. errands vs. his bike riding, hosehold chores vs. reading Velo News, calling the doc to discuss DD ear vs. checking the TourDeFrances website. Arghhhh! DH really is a lovely man. Just sometimes.....

Sorry for all those I missed. I can’t seem to find more than moments to spare for all of you. Glad you are here for me when I need you.

Hey all,

Had a bit of a scare this morning. DS fell off the bunk bed and hit his head straight on. I think he was unconcus for a few seconds before he started crying. This was according to my older DS. His lip is swollen and he was bleeding from his nose. The scariest thing was that when I was in there talking to him ten minutes later, he couldn't remember why his head was hurting. I had to tell him he fell off the bed and he had no recollection of that happening. I am not an overreactor, but that scared me. I called the nurse and she said just to "watch" him and wake him every 1/2 hour when he was sleepy. I thought they weren't supposed to go to sleep if they had a concusion. He seems to be o.k as long as he stays still but when he gets up he gets queezy. I'll watch him the rest of the day and pray he feels better.
